How to Minecraft: Simple Automatic POTION Brewing Machine in 1.16 [#7]

Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of how to minecraft what is going on here why oh this is not where we left off in the last episode and that’s right I’m trying to keep all my emotions inside and contained because we lost a recording I’m not sure what

Happened but the file is corrupted I’ve noticed it halfway through recording an episode so let me tell you where we are and what we’ve been doing so we’re having in my mind we’re halfway through an episode but obviously to you guys brand new episode for the last two

Episodes of how to minecraft we made a fantastic villager trading area it’s a prison it’s a good and what I want to do with those villagers is take them turn them into zombie villagers and then turn them back into normal villagers but in order to do that I need potions so this

Episode is all about potions and hopefully we’ll make a automatic potion machine that’s my hope by the end of this episode so in order to do that we need to find a fortress and we need to get blaze rods with some blaze powder so we need to get enough blaze rods to have

Blaze powder for the the brewing stand and we need to get another work so both of those are found in a fortress which we’re trying to do I did just fine this bastion remnant along my adventures and I got a whole bunch of stuff so I’ve got

Some soul speed boots got a snout pant banner pattern thing and also I have been collecting some another gold ore because a comment let me know hey you can take this stuff and put it into a furnace wham bam you have ingots instead of just Nuggets so I have that as well

For later on I just found another sort of I was up here with the fortress area and now we have a whole new area that I hadn’t xenia this looks very exciting so I feel like I’m going to at least pick up this block of gold hello mister meanie right there we go

Any others no okay perfect nobody oh man my inventory is so full I don’t need that get out of here boo here we go perfect I don’t really want to go exploring in this area like tons because this isn’t really my goal my goal is to get the the

Fortress which I haven’t found yet and I have a feeling it’s gonna take a long time to find a fortress just because I’ve spent a lot of time in this nether and nothing yet really I haven’t even found a warped biome yet a warped wart

By a warped forest biome I wonder if a Strider would be something I should use as a way to get around I don’t have a saddle on me but that guy right there has a piglet on them and when they spawn in like that they have a saddle or the

Two of them it looks like there’s two of them I have saddles so if there’s one of those near area that I could get to I could use that to search within the lava lakes uh these these little fungus things man they’re they protect me a lot

Against the hog ones yeah what the knock-back holy moly head me up high I can’t do this for very much oh yeah that’s right hi-yah oh my gosh those guys have so much health my search like process for trying to find a fortress is really just to find big open areas where

You can see far so if I’m in some like where I kind of was before where you didn’t really get a great view of anything for a long direction that’s not good that’s no good I want to find an area that doesn’t have a lot of stuff around it so I can ease

The lava like that do you want to get a return to sender right here hi ya bye um would it Did I get it am I gonna get a thingy is it too far away oh my gosh another bastion remnant hello finally so many Gunpowder don’t want it don’t have the room for it [Applause] We got an eye about tear aghast here oh no I wanted that leather gasps tear whoo that’s gonna be helpful for our brewing I really dislike how a lot of things in Minecraft are just random like I can’t do this until I have randomly found that thing that randomly spawns in a random

Location in the nether that is so frustrating I just wanna know I want to do the thing that I know how to do just let me find it oh look a warped forest this is the biggest ocean I have ever seen there’s just nothing in it it’s

First time going into a warped forest biome you know I should probably keep some I’m gonna get rid of this one arrow and probably I don’t need these chains but I definitely want some glowstone and this is some easy play stone to get so I

Think I’m gonna grab this not as if I don’t have enough stuff to carry already I would love to harvest some inner pearls while I’m here that way I don’t have to do it later just in the overworld and none none hmm I think I see some basalt Delta’s which may be the

Last biome that I have to go to in order to get that like achievement of going to every single biome that’d be kind of cool I have them yet or is this okay yeah I’m in it okay huh I’m apparently I’m missing a biome then oh I got it

I did it hooray I say just wasn’t in the biome enough kind of regretting making this bridge all the way over here I don’t really this is very difficult to traverse and very scary too much lava for me ouch I really hate this I really don’t like file oh gosh get out here

Hello warped forest how are you doing Oh Mike Oh what is this okay good I was like really you’re gonna act like you’re there and then not be there hmm oh my gosh finally Wow I was just like feeling like I had been tunneling for a while

Wither yes go after that place okay nope never mind okay now this wither is after us now I wanted to walk that off oh my gosh if I die I’m gonna be so sick got him I am gonna make a crafting table okay here and I’m gonna make a chest two of

Them and we are gonna drop some of this stuff that we have in here because I like having it but I don’t need it at the moment you know I could make some pork chops know something also this way if I happen to die which I won’t but if

I do all this stuff will not de-spawn which will be great as I try to find my way back to this area hey we are inside of the fortress and now we’re just looking for some loot and then also there’s some loot down there and then also oh there’s some loot right here

Also looking for some of the nether wart and whatnot golden don’t mind if I do thank you very much only I had looting on this axe there we go oh hello I was gonna get somewhere else but hey got it in the chest that’s nice we go god no so

I’ve been marking areas that I came from with these pissed bits of netherrack and another nice thing is that the metal rack is exactly tall enough for me to fit through but not for wither skeletons so you can always hide behind an area that you’ve explored if you run into a

Wither skeleton out of the blue aha first a blaze rod that is very good I need at least two blaze rods in order to have a effective brewing Stan I can craft a brewing stand but remember it needs blaze powder in order to fuel it

So I do need to get some more new a saddle I think this my first saddle I’m not sure another blaze rod perfect Oh a diamond yeah it’s more another work you know I should probably get some of this soul sand I didn’t get it before why should I leave

My shovel behind I didn’t get any salt saying before and this way I can make a little bit of another work in the overworld ooh way more diamonds yay so currently we are at four blaze rods which is plenty for me now right now I’ll need more obviously later but right

Now we’re doing good and a whole bunch of other loot let’s go back to the treasure chest that I kind of set up before and take a look we have a whole bunch of iron armor some gold armor a few diamonds keep those on me stone swords don’t care

About got some saddles which we may want to use later flint and steel I don’t need so many I can just use like one and some gold and then some other building blocks which I don’t really need mostly got some blaze rod we have another wart

That we need I have a little bit of soul sand and a we can head back to my base and I think what I will be doing is heading up to the close to the roof of the nether and just tunneling back I don’t want to deal with losing my stuff

I would rather just use up this pick and just just straight tunnel to where I need to go okay okay this is what I am leaving behind this is what I am taking I’m also gonna have some chests and I’m hoping to gather some more netherrack because a lot of netherrack has just

Been hitting the floor because I don’t have the inventory space for it so I’m hoping to actually collect some and drop it into some chests as I dunno back to my base okay so I have hit bedrock so why am I going so high up in another

Well once you get up this high there’s like a layer of another rack that will always be there so you can basically always count on that layer of netherrack being up at the top which means that you can just straight up tunnel without worrying about falling through the

Bottom of the bedrock oh my gosh thanks for debris you’re kidding me hooray well there we go found some ancient debris by the way for those of you just want to know the nether fortress is like 600 blocks away from my base portal so we are going

Pretty far to get to that no idea if that’s the closest one but that’s the one that I found so this right here is zero zero now I’ll use ladders later to get up okay so where is my portal this looks oh I think my portal is right over there

Yep that it is that it is oh so close okay so this area is where I’ll just remember that this is the walkway is home oh sweet Oh fantastic I made it back alive with all the stuff I wanted I’m not I was like no it’s not a

Guarantee whew man I love it when my single-player world is lanky okay so we got all this stuff I’m gonna throw the gold into here and I do not have enough coal okay that one has enough coal so just so now that we have all of the required ingredients for our potion

Merwin I’m gonna start off by making a little area for my potion brewing system to be set up and because I feel like potions are very much a nether thing cuz you got to go to the nether to do it I’m gonna make this over by my nether portal

I’m also gonna gather up some crimson wood and I also have some of this fungus so I can make some of the large fungus in the overworld and harvest some of the Warped wood as well so I’m gonna be making this live so this is what I’m

Starting them off with right now and hopefully I’ll show you every step of the process so what we’re gonna start off with is I’m gonna make basically a wall where I can select what I want to go into a potion and then have this contraption build whatever I want and

Looking at the wiki there are 12 different ingredients that you can add to a potion and I have 12 leather so I’m going to go ahead and make up 12 item frames and the build itself is fairly simple so how we’re gonna do it is we’re

Gonna have an area for the brewing stand right here then we’re gonna have a button sort of to activate everything then we’re gonna have a whole bunch of options 1 2 3 4 12 for all of the different ingredients and I don’t have all of the ingredients yet so that is

Gonna there’s gonna be some signs as placeholders for some of my ingredients so we’re gonna do that then we’re going to have 1 2 3 4 options and these are 4 additional things that we might want to add being glowstone redstone gunpowder and the dragon’s breath and that can all

Be added as ways to make splash potions or lingering potions or level 2 potions that sort of thing so we’re just adding the top on to that and so this is what its gonna look like from this side and I’m gonna go ahead and add all of the

Item frames we may switch these around because I know there’s some ingredients I don’t have and I do have some of those ingredients over there so on the other side of this build we’re gonna take some redstone torches and attach them wherever there is a lever on the other

Side it’s gonna be really obvious because we have the lamps so we’re just gonna spam redstone torches any time we see a and also remember our button is right there so I’m just gonna stick a little thing on the other side just to remember that our button is right there next

We’re gonna take droppers which I already have right here and those are gonna go anywhere that there is a redstone torch we are gonna attach it facing up there we go just like that and I can jump onto this one to set the rest so they’re

Gonna be facing upwards and on top of this we’re gonna put hoppers and I don’t think I have enough hoppers I’ve used all of my iron so just just fair warning that we probably won’t have enough hoppers to do this entire build today and then we’re gonna add one more and

That is just gonna go right here without a torch next to it it’s just gonna be but it doesn’t need to be at the very front of the line next I’m gonna have this which is where our redstone is eventually going to be and that is just

Gonna come out a few just like this and then it’s gonna go up next to these droppers so we’re just gonna put down a line and this is where our redstone is going to go right here where there is this gap we’re going to add a repeater

They go repeater down and then we’re gonna continue on and over here where we have our button this is actually going to be a torch on the other side just like this and that will always power these droppers and the idea is is that every time that we hit this button on

This side you’ll see that they turn off and on and so when they turn on if the dropper is selected it will fire and these redstone torches which are always turned on will stop that from firing this first one right here is the exception it’ll always fire why because

We’re gonna put our another wort into that first one so it always puts another wort into the system and so if I was to put down redstone torch right here and then fire this off we wouldn’t here click from any of these see and then when I remove that once we fire

This off OOP there you go it fires off one ingredient then over here let’s say I want this ingredient inside of my thing that is this one with the redstone torch off we’re just gonna put glowstone dust in here temporarily then when we fire this off boop boo then you get both of

Those as your options for creating your potion now I brought some of the ingredients with me I know this is kind of a mess I brought my anvil so that I can rename these so this glistening melon slice that will make a potion of healing so I

Will just rename this healing the magma cream that gives a fire resist so I’ve renamed a whole bunch of these and my inventory is overflowing that means that when I put one of these things in here it will tell me what this is going to be and then ow

Rude if I have it selected it will light up with that thing so I know that fire resistance is selected or healing is selected I am seriously using up all of the iron I have make 18 hoppers go dang it go okay perfect also it is time to make our brewing

Stand what a simple recipe seriously like that does not seem like that should be the recipe but it is so BAM we’re gonna put our brewing stand right there I may move it one closer if I solo so we’re gonna do this this and then this

Is just gonna be our hopper line we need four more perfect there we go there we go I mean so I have added all of the ingredients that I have I would have a fermented spider eye if I had some mushroom but I don’t and that’s what I

Really want to mention weakness at the beginning of this video but anyway so we have everything including LevelUp longer splash we don’t have Dragon’s Breath yet we haven’t fought the dragon obviously we need to go back and then take all of the ingredients that we have and put it into the hoppers

Over here and then inside of our brewing stand we obviously need some powder for that to work so Boop there we go and we also need of course some bottles the last hopper I can make oh my gosh so that hopper goes on the side to fill

That with more bottles and then I can put a chest right up here and fill that with bottles well that’s kind of crazy the heck never ravine down here I do Wow whoops then you make your bottles that’s simple enough OOP and you place your filled bottles

Which don’t stack for no logical reason into the chest they go through the hopper and into the brewing stand so let’s test it out let’s make a let’s make a swiftness potion that is a level two so a a fast swiftness potion and shirt let’s give it some splash as well

A fast splash swiftness potion all goes according to plan we click this and everything gets sent down the line so it starts off with another wort and I can just check to make sure everything is going good by looking in this hopper right here so it’s going to give it

Swiftness it’s going to give it to then it’s going to give splash so all of that is correct and we have a completely customizable potion brewing machine for us to use this does not take the finished potion out so it first made the awkward potion by adding the nether wart

Then it’s gonna add the swiftness these potions won’t be removed so I’ll have to go in here manually pull them out no big deal I’m totally fine with that and I can also add more blaze powder to this chest if I would like and make sure that

There’s some in the hopper as well and that’ll keep that blaze powder up and running not quite there yet this is definitely a build that stressed the resources I have on hand quite a lot so now that is speed too and now it is going to make it a

Splash potion so this is awesome whoops get out of there dragon’s breath we don’t even have you and once I get all of the other ingredients like puffer fish or rabbit’s foot or turtle shells or whatever phantoms prior will not I don’t know if I’ll ever have turtle

Shells but I wanted to put it on there just for future reference there we go we got our splash potion of swiftness – that is a splash potion that is awesome let’s go ahead and use it ooh we’re so Swift look at that look at

Me I like simple redstone stuff but I love that it has an indicator of what you’re about ready to turn on and what you’re about ready to do and that it’s as simple as just hitting a single button I mean it doesn’t really get much more simple than this I really really
