I Spent 24 Hours Straight Building in a Minecraft Flat Word!

Hi there welcome to a video where i’m going to be playing minecraft for 24 hours straight i’ve done this a few times before however we’re going back to our roots with this one and we are going to be building for 24 hours why though joel well since i did the

Last one i feel like i’ve improved in my building skills quite a lot and also this time we’re going to be starting on a flat world but joel why 24 hours i honestly don’t know i think i just hate myself do you know why i don’t hate

Let’s start with hour one so obviously we had to start out with a lot of terraforming i mean a lot of terror for me i decided to go for this huge mountain range here’s i haven’t really said what i’m building yet but i’m going to be building

An elven city well that was weird so for one hour i think progress is looking really good obviously it’s all still sand but yeah i’m happy of this this is gonna look awesome so once we got all the sand placed we then changed it and added in

A waterfall in the middle and also some land where we’re gonna put our city on i just really wanted to make a really cool backdrop for it as last time i spent a lot of time focusing on buildings but i feel like i’ve developed my terraforming skills

Quite a lot since last time and i think it shows with the progress we’re making right here wow our two went really quick you can see it’s a massive difference already we’re starting to get some shape in here oh i’m excited i’m so excited i think it’s gonna look really good

That excitement doesn’t keep up by hour 24. by the way i’m recording these voice-overs like the day after i’ve already slept by this point i i slept for 17 hours it was a long time but you can see we’re working on like a little river through the center here and

We’re also terraforming all this use a lot of wool to terraform this time because i use a lot of mixed blocks in these sections and it really helps it’s a very large scale build as you can see i’m quite happy with how much we’ve done

In just three hours to be honest so yeah i’m excited to do some more not tired yet obviously as we’ve only been doing this for three hours that’s just three hours of training it’s crazy back to future joel take it away so at this point i was getting a bit bored of

Terror farming so i decided to add in the water for the river and also a waterfall where i used some stained glass as you can see at the bottom there to make it look like it’s smashing into the ground and we also got started on our first

Massive tree which is taking a long time to build in fact i don’t actually finish it in this time lapse because there’s so many leaves to place so many leaves oh boy fourth hour and we have started on one of the things that’s gonna take a long

Time this tree here is gonna be a big project i think i’m gonna do one big tree and then we’ll do like a load of normal oversized trees do like the waterfall i think it’s looking good we need to add some greenery onto these at some point

First let’s finish this tree i hope we’ll get this done in the next hour please let me get this done in the next hour don’t worry we got it done in this hour this is quite a satisfying one watching all the leaves be placed i just had to add the

Branches and stuff i feel like my tree building skills have improved a lot since the last time i made one of these where it’s just a big old blob this time it actually looks like a tree i think a very mystical tree though because obviously this is a very

Mythical land five hours in and it is starting to look epic already my gosh this is a huge build this might be one of the best things i’m ever gonna build to be honest i’m not sure what i’m gonna do next but the tree is finished i’m really

Happy with this thing let’s just get building some other stuff shall we as that’s what we’re gonna be doing so there’s a few things i had here i couldn’t actually get it to work on the time lapses i just was all over the place constantly i did not do this in a

Fluid way which would look good on a time lapse but i worked on doing some more terraforming here i added in these massive like drooping vines here as well and then i just finished off the rest of the terraforming here just wait to get it out of the way and done

I’m loving this i’m loving this look i think it looks so nice i can’t wait to get some buildings in here more trees and stuff let’s continue so on hour seven we didn’t actually get a lot done in terms of scale but we did like loads of little details and stuff you

Can see me working flying around in the middle of the river there working on like you know some bamboo leaves grass etc we also add some lanterns onto the tree i think and we just add a few like finishing touches and stuff to make it look extra nice i’m excited to start working

On some stuff now i’m going to start off over here i think we’re going to work on this area i’ve got an idea but yeah the terrain is looking real good now let’s continue so we’re a third of the way through and we’re finally adding on

Some buildings here i started out with a bridge linking across these two platforms here i want to add quite a few bridges into this build over the time and i also got working on this other little platform here which i put some pillars just because i thought it looked quite cool

With especially with the terrain underneath and then finally i worked on the layout of where the buildings are gonna go you can see we started to do some layouts here working on pathways etc oh it’s exciting i think i’m gonna have a few smaller buildings around here maybe a fountain

Down here some stairs up over here as well and then probably a big building here but you know what i’ll stop talking i’ll let time-lapse joel take over wow i didn’t realize how kind i was i’ve forgotten most of the things i did to be honest with you but

This stage my brain was still functioning perfectly fine i actually added in a little small waterfall there and i started working out the layer of stuff around here and i thought this like sort of walkway thing at the back would look really cool so i did that on

There i was just having a fun time experimenting with building and stuff i’m feeling a little bit tired but you know what i’m gonna have to drink with some caffeine in it and we’re gonna carry on i wanna get this entire area finished here just so i have a basis of

What the other builds will look like i think i really underestimated my ability to finish five or six builds within an hour it actually took me an hour to finish just two here as i’m making them quite detailed i want to keep them all the same style with this dark prismarini

Blue theme on the roof as i think that looks really nice with the white very sort of magical very sort of bright and elven i think if elven is a style oh yes this section is really starting to come together now these two new buildings and all this

Terror farming and stuff man we still have so much to do though let’s continue with these two buildings so obviously this was all about improving my building skill and just getting used to building crazy amounts of different stuff and i did that here with these curved buildings which i think actually ended

Up looking like two of the nicer buildings especially this one here i really like how this domed roof one turned out it fits in so nicely with the area around it as well plus adding a load more trees because trees are always fun to build aren’t they no

Those trees have really made quite a big difference they’re adding in the greenery and stuff this place is looking nice and we’ve completely finished this section over here now which means we can move on to bigger and better things and you know what i fancy working on this section here which i’ve left

For a castle this might be a two-hour job but oh mama we’ve got 30 left so guess we better get started also i’m definitely going to build another big tree i’ve decided i’m just trying to figure out where it’s going to go the big halfway point and i really

Wanted to add a catalan to things i feel like all the castle i built in the past apart from the one for jack on x life have been pretty rubbish so this one here is probably one of my finer pieces of work for castles lots of different towers lots of different like heights

And stuff i think it actually looks really cool and i love the colors the contrast between the dark oak and the white lovely 12 hour mark still going strong not feeling super tired just yet let’s continue and continue we did with the castle i think this thing actually

Ends up looking really cool i didn’t want to do a massive tower for the center so instead you’ll see i work on something a bit weirder here very magical sort of with this floating orb in the center of it but the castle actually ended up looking really cool i think it’s my favorite

Part of the build although i’m not so fond of that tower on the left i really have ideas okay i think that’s complete we don’t have to do any more to that it’s looking pretty cool just ignore the fact that round here there’s just this big hole

But apart from that it’s looking good and you know i said i wanted to do another tree well we’re going to do that now still unsure where we’re going to put it let me overthink and then we’ll start building it for some reason i don’t know why i thought you know what

Let’s add in two trees so that’s what i did they actually looked really cool in the end so i’m happy that i did because i feel like we needed more things in the center here is at the bottom there wasn’t really much apart from just you know like grass and

Stuff so these two extra massive trees really added to the build in a big way one tree down one more to go okay it looks cool though what does it look like with other shaders on too bright too dark bad but i like the ones we’ve been using let’s finish this

Next tree so i forgot to mention but i started this at 2 pm which means by hour 15 here it was 5 a.m at the end of this hour so it was getting to me quite a bit by now and my sanity was slowly fading away but we

Managed to finish off this second tree here and i think these both look good they both got birch leaves instead of oak so it makes quite a nice difference to the oak one in the background i don’t know what time it is but we’re getting late now okay let’s uh let’s do some

More buildings and stuff we’ve got two massive trees let’s finish off this section over here add like a little tiny village in maybe root down i don’t know how we’re going to link all this up i think i might like link up this somehow as well i don’t know is

We’ll figure it out it’s going to be tricky to do when tired but we’re going to try so although i said i was going to do a village i actually ended up building a sort of little farm here with some fields of wheat and a windmill because i thought that’d be quite nice

It’s a bit different to the other buildings we’ve got going so far and if you know my youtube channel well you’ll know that i love a good windmill and this one here i was very fond of i think it fits in really nice with the rest of the atmosphere we’re 16 hours in

Two thirds of the way through oh man there’s still quite a lot to do isn’t there i thought i’d done a lot but when you look at the grand scheme of things there’s still a lot to do all right let’s get busy i want to make a little

Tower here and a pathway down so one of the hardest things about doing this challenge is the motivation to carry on like seriously by this point i’m just like what am i doing with my life but i wanted it to get done and actually having the build looking so

Bare on the right there gave me a lot of motivation to finish the thing as i really wanted this thing to look epic by the end of it seven a.m yay at least seven hours remaining i’m gonna build a bridge to this tree let’s go did i sound a bit tired there

It might be because i was tired at this point i don’t know why these hours are the hardest to get through okay i think you have another extra burst when you get to like 10 a.m sort of things so here was a real struggle but i started working on a

Little bit more of the village down here just trying out different styles and stuff and trying to keep myself interested another hour down yay so we’re starting to link it up now as you can see over here we’ve got this lovely little bit where we can walk across these bridges

And that will link us up to this side i’m probably going to add another bridge in like across this part here as well but it’s starting to get dense i’m excited to see all this filled up with like houses and stuff and little buildings more towers maybe

Let’s continue you can kind of hear i’m sort of cheering up a little bit in that clip that’s because i had some food and a cup of tea and that really like cheered me up a little bit i was getting quite down but after that we were a-okay and i built a

Load more buildings here load more trees and another bridge which actually stretches across to the other side which i’m really happy with oh and another bridge in the background you can probably see 19 hours and we’re finally moving on to the right side kind of let’s continue going a bit crazy

So at this point i was really struggling to think of ideas and i didn’t want to just continue building more buildings and such so i did a donkey field here with a barn next to it because i thought that’d be quite fun and we also moved on to the other side

Here where i decided this was going to be the posh section where the mail live so i built a very nice house and a park next to it because i didn’t know what else to put there getting to the point now where i’ve kind of just forgot what i just did in that

Last time lapse was it this stuff here was it just that i know it was that but yeah something like that isn’t it this is a big house i’m working on let’s finish the house the thing i love about listening back to these clips is just how enthusiastic i was i’m kidding

My gosh i hated myself at this point but i really like this house i think this actually looks really cool and the tree next to it looks pretty cool as well and then i started copying pasting some houses in as well around here but i also built some new ones as

Well because i didn’t want them all to be identical three hours to go i’m still building we’re so nearly done we just got this section here left to do we got three hours to do it and if i finish before then i’ll probably just add some more details on around and stuff

Oh man so i wanted to add one final building which was pretty cool so i built this sort of domed one here which i was struggling with a lot because i was so tired as you can see i keep messing up and placing things wrong

But we got there in the end and it actually ended up looking semi-decent not as good as the other one round the side but i didn’t know what to put inside it as i was completely out of ideas only two hours left we’ve pretty much filled up all the space over here

I’m not sure what else to add but hopefully we’ll think of something so for some reason at this point i was just completely lost so i decided to build a tower as you can see here right next to the river stretching all the way up and it looked okay

Looking back in it now i could probably build something a lot nicer but i hadn’t slept in over 26 hours by this point so it was pretty miserable but i also added in these lily pads here which i think look really cute the final hour i really

Don’t know what to add oh no we’ve done 23 hours what could we add in the final hour i guess i should neaten up the front bit here is at the moment just sort of ends yeah let’s let’s do that so for the final hour i did what i said just there

I finished off this bit here which ended up looking not great to be honest i probably should just left it where it ended but at least it transitioned it quite nicely just ignore the fact that on the back of all those mountains it just looks absolutely terrible and there you have it

24 hours i don’t think this made that much of a difference but it’s not terrible to be honest i am i’m gonna go sleep now oh wait my face is this is how i look the bags but i stayed awake hopefully future joel does some cool like

Cinematic shots of this and stuff i’ll let him take over so overall how did i think it went well i’m pretty happy with the result i think this place does look quite epic however there are a few things i’d probably change in the future the hanging vines in the background i’d

Probably change around and stuff also i’d add in a few more buildings i kind of underestimated how few buildings there were on this build but i am generally overall quite happy with it and there are a few things that do stand out i really like the castle i think that

Looks awesome i really like the trees and the mountains and terraform in the background i think just look really good so there you have it 24 hours of building if you want to see proof i’ll put up a little thing now with all my replay files obviously

All of them are an hour long but you can see the times on which i recorded them and yes the last one is shot because i nearly fell asleep also it is hard in the time lapses to convey how big this build is like it is ridiculous in size look at that waterfall

And all the bridges and the trees and stuff it is quite lovely to run through it to be honest and it works as well everything is linked up all the bridges everything it works and i am very happy with it but unfortunately that’s all we got time for
