I Think It’s Time For A Fresh Start… – Minecraft Survival [#206]

And what is up guys it is farsi here and we are back in my survival world and today we’re gonna start off the episode with some kind of sad news as you guys might recall from last episode my fps has been bugging me i’m not gonna lie

I’m kind of concerned with my fps i’m getting like legit right now it says 40. it was getting like 20 a second ago fps i don’t know what’s going on right now on my very good computer i’ve been getting like 30 40 fps in this kingdom and it’s

Simply because it’s just so laggy in here there’s so many things so many creatures buildings it’s just there’s too many things in this kingdom but something i didn’t think about is that i have amplified chunks really close to my base real quick most of my viewers are not

World it was on normal generation and i got kind of bored of it and i wanted some extreme chunks like this and some extreme mountains and whatnot now long story short i actually changed my mind and went back to normal generation but i still have these giant chunks just in

Some random places in the world and apparently that can cause a major amount of lag and it makes sense because just like look how big it is like there’s just so many blocks so much to render there i can see why that’s laggy so today we’re gonna use a helpful tool and

Get rid of all these giant chunks so here’s the plan everything on this map that you can see we’re going to keep from the kingdom to the giant bridge to the oceans the islands everything these will all stay but everything outside of this map not counting a few important

Landmarks will be totally regenerated so for most of this world again besides this whole map area and my whole kingdom area it’s gonna be new generation all new things spawning kind of like a new world i am actually really pumped but i’m also kind of sad because those

Amplified chunks are very like nostalgic to me because i mean obviously they’re so weird and so unique but the lag is getting bad i want to play this series for as long as i can into like the hundreds and hundreds of episodes more but if the lag keeps up my

World might just like break so i need to really be careful with this so anyways to my computer we go so to change my world around i’ll be using a tool called mca selector now big note don’t try to do what i’m doing on your world yet i’ll

Be posting a tutorial on this in a few days or like a week or so so look out for that it’s a risky thing okay so don’t try and do this yourself but basically this tool allows you to generate a map of your world on this giant grid and you can actually select

Chunks you want to delete or save or just do whatever you want with them and here we go here is the map of my world you can see it’s a very cool little software but once again the point is we are going to try to regenerate everything that is not within this like

Giant area that you see right here all right moment of truth we have our selection selected now we’re gonna delete all the other chunks a lot of chunks okay let’s do it and whoa look at our map now that’s it these are the only generated chunks in the

Entire world this this this and this all right let’s fire it back up and see what we got all right here we go we’re loading in what are we gonna see well probably nothing yet because we’re gonna be in our kingdom but here we go let’s get on

Our wings and let’s go fly to some new terrain all right so right across the ocean should be all new stuff if i’m correct maybe even like now this should all be the same this is the ocean over here should all be new so where does it start

Oh this is new right over here because you can see there’s sea grass which was not there before because i have an older world so literally right across the ocean this is all new stuff right here oh this is actually awesome so everything oh we’re gonna have these

Cool portal things now that’s so sick i’ve never had this before in my world what do we got anything cool and nothing really cool but i mean still these look awesome i love these things oh i will take you thank you very much ouch now here’s the big if did my nether

Portal save because i tried to keep another portal untouched from the whole deletion so if i go over here will i find another portal that is very big to me hold on first i gotta sleep it’s getting too dark so uh hello new sheep welcome to my world but you’re gonna die

This would be a great tool to use when the new updates come out like 1.17 and stuff like that where i can reset all my terrain besides like my kingdom and my house so i can get all the new biomes really close to me and the new caves

So i’m not gonna build too much outside of like the general area here just because like again if i do this in a few months i don’t want to have to lose more stuff but this is awesome because my world is not only less laggy now but i

Have so much new terrain and new things to explore right next to home like my survival island is right over there that’s it i’ve done that like probably like a year or two ago but now i have all this new stuff down here like i don’t mean to just repeat myself over

And over but this is awesome i’m so excited right now and look our first ocean ruined next to home kind of dark but do you see anything anything i can dig up right now real quick oh a chest all right let’s see what do we got what

Do we got and that is why we do regeneration for this right here this is the loot we love you know what’s even more sick that i just thought about i could find buried treasure here from like maps from villagers you know how you can get like the buried treasure

Hunt maps i couldn’t get these here before because again this was all generated already but now i can i know i’m saying it over and over and over i’m sorry to keep repeating myself but i’m just i’m so excited this is this is amazing an even better test where the amplified area was

I think it was right over here so like all these hills right here this was supposed to be amplified and now it’s not that is incredible well all that being said let’s take this shulker box here and let’s go on a big adventure let’s just go explore the area go find

Some cool structures and just have some fun so let’s go this direction like across the ocean because i know out this way this was the most just amplified terrain ever like across this big ocean so i’m super like curious how it’s going to look now also i’ll take a quick pit

Stop at my survival island and grab some things do i have any beds in here i could borrow i don’t want to take the bed out of here oh is there a bed here all right scratch that i guess i forgot to put a bed in here which is

Awkward but whatever what about in that building over there there has to be a bed in here there’s no way i was just surviving the night or maybe i was that’s kind of like what the challenge is is there anything nope nothing all right whatever forget that back to our adventure

And here we are i’m seeing some land oh boy this is weird this is weird and also more ocean structures wait netherright netherrack wait is there a portal down here oh no way it’s the underwater portal that’s super cool actually i don’t know these were a thing

What’s in here and once again nothing really that good but still very cool oh we have like the underwater caves now too i don’t have any of these near me oh we got more stuff over here this is awesome look at this there’s so much stuff to explore now

Oh it’s like right here on this island yeah right here all right interesting let’s get to digging now i know for a lot of you guys watching this this is not like new stuff at all to you but like when things are so far away from my

Kingdom it’s really hard to go and like you know just find the motivation to like oh i’m gonna go find one of these uh very treasure maps and then go explore it because again it takes me like half an hour just to like go get the actual map and go find the spot

Where it is so it’s super annoying so that’s why i’m so pumped about this because it just makes my life a lot easier oh we got it all right what do we got what do we got oh look at that a diamond some gold some silver coins a stress ball

I’d say decent loot decent loot so yeah remember our plan about you know traveling the world and finding all these new cool structures well yeah i have like no fireworks so i think our little ocean adventure like our mini one will suffice for today sorry to change

Plans on you but i have no gunpowder left so why don’t we go back to our original plan which is to get some cool building done in the kingdom and i’m sure you guys don’t mind because who doesn’t love some good old-fashioned building now today’s plan is actually pretty interesting we’re gonna make

Like a kind of farm kind of thing so basically i want a tree farm in minecraft i want a way to get wood easier because as you can see from the giant tree house in front of you i use a lot of wood on a daily basis in this

World but the issue is that i have to go manually chop trees so today i want to make kind of like a semi-automatic tree farm but first i need to make a trash can no i’m not joking i literally have way too many things in my inventory i

Need a way to just get rid of things so i need to make a trash can somewhere around here so if you guys didn’t know this little build hack put down some sand put down a cacti and put a trapdoor over it so now if i have some junk i can

Just go throw it all in here and it doesn’t sit in my world look at that perfect now the idea here is that we’re going to grow those giant oak trees or rather spruce trees kind of like that one right there just all next to each other so

There’s a giant like hunk of wood in this giant area and in theory this would work so if we get bone meal and grow them all at the same time we’ll just get like a giant just like ten tall line of wood to chop down i

Swear my lag is worse right now than before i swear this lag seems so much worse at the moment maybe it’s because there’s like all new mob spawning and like the new chunks but i don’t know i feel like i’m getting even more choppiness so let’s test this so i’m

Gonna put down just like a bunch of saplings right here and i will just grow is it working i was going to try to grow the trees oh there’s one okay now but this one yes okay so it works that’s great so once again the idea is to just line the

Entire thing with saplings and all at the same time bone meal them i’ve made a mistake here there are three saplings and i wanted one meal only two whoopsies now unfortunately this farm does kind of stain the ground with pods all but i’ll have to deal with that for the sake of

Having an awesome tree farm but yeah this is totally gonna work now i’m also gonna need to find a way to get to the top because i can’t just staircase like this every time i want to get wood so i’ll make like an elevator or just like

A ladder system to get to the very top of this thing then we can just like work our way down but like look at this thing like look how much wood there is look how many times i’m just chopping like it’s crazy like obviously there are ways

To make auto tree farms but this just this seems like it is sufficient like what i really need to have like an automatic way to do this this is like i’m gonna get probably upwards of seven stacks of wood just from this one little tree

Run what do you call it a chopping run i’ll call it a chopping run make it stop i’m sick of this sound of wood breaking please just go away now the one thing i’m not sure about is will enough saplings fall to replenish

This farm or do i need to go and get a bunch of saplings every time i want to use the farm because i haven’t seen too many saplings i have 19 but that wouldn’t fill this whole thing i don’t believe but then again how often will i need this farm if it’s really

This efficient this seems like i’ll use this like once every like few weeks at most and we are done so this farm at not even full capacity gave us almost 10 full stacks of wood so this whole farm should probably give me about at least 12 probably more for every full

Usage so now the saplings let’s see will this actually be enough my amazing math brain says no it’s not enough so but they’re still dropping though actually so i don’t know maybe it would be like a lot more are dropping than i actually thought so maybe this will be

Enough like maybe not exactly but this should in general give me enough to replenish the farm i’m hoping if i’m wrong then whatever but you see here at the very least i just go to all the corners and i just remake them again like this and boom that is insta wood for me

I’m trapped i’m stuck inside the farm let me out so there really is some skill to this like you can’t just bone meal any single sapling you need to like get the corners like make sure that you’re hitting the right ones at the right time so very

Interesting but yeah this tree farm will definitely suffice for me despite its ugliness so i guess i’ll put a few barrels here just like for loot so i’ll do like saplings in here like any extra wood just for now and there and then oh no wait forget that i need bone meal

In there so i’ll take out this my bone blocks and i’ll just go like that and boom that’s a lot of bone meal ready to go in there i’m just adding in a few more details here i’m also gonna put like probably some stairs around the

Place make it look a little prettier but besides that i think this is a success now if you guys have any cooler ideas for this place to make it look a little i don’t know just nicer overall please let me know because i’m really open to

That i want to look as cool as possible because obviously right now it’s not going to look great it’s very just like raw but i need a tree farm like i need one so bad so i gotta live with the ugly big mess here just chilling in my world
