Industrial Foregoing Tutorial – Animals, Plants, Mobs, and Wither | Minecraft 1.16.5

Hello there everyone the andrada here and welcome to part two of our industrial foregoing mod spotlight where today we are going to be going over a couple different categories of machines first off we have our animal machines we are then going to move on to our different farming machines

Then our mob farming machines and finally we are going to end with our weather builder and weather destruction automation netherstar farm so yeah if you want to see how all these machines work with industrial foregoing continue watching check it out so in industrial foregoing we have quite a few different animal based machines

First off we have the animal rancher we then have the animal feeder we have a animal baby separator um the mob slaughter factory is not technically an animal based machine but it’s used with animals you can kind of guess what it means by the name bob slaughter

Factory but we’ll uh we’ll discuss that in a minute we have a sewage composter or i’m sorry a sewer and a sewage composter so let’s go over and break down each of the machines so first off we have the animal rancher all of these machines by the way do require power uh

Yeah i believe all of them do animal rancher the animal rancher is a machine that well ranches animals so what it does if we kick this on and we close the gate it’s going to start processing and it’s going to start trying to milk the cows and shear the sheep

Currently you can hear it there it goes look it sheared that sheep so it automates milking cows and shearing sheep simple as that inside of here we do have a range upgrade and if you remember from our last episode or part one we talked about what the range upgrades do but if you

Show the working area of the machine you can see it’s kind of hard because there’s quite a few animals in here but it encompasses this entire nine by nine um cage that we have here but yeah it just went through sheared all the sheep as

Soon as they uh you know eat some grass and get some more wool it’ll shear them again and it automates shearing and milking of your cows and then you can pipe out the milk if you wanted to into a tank or into your refined storage

System or however you want to do it so that is the animal rancher next off we have the animal feeder which as its name says feeds your animals supply it with your food and you can have pigs in here so you can give it carrots if you had

Chickens in here you can have seeds but it can’t it won’t like you know get the feathers off of the chicken and stuff so having chickens in here is kind of pointless but if we turn this on close the gate you’ll see once it starts operating and again it’s got you know

It’s got to do its progress but it’s going to start breeding the animals and making some babies which leads us to our next point which is the animal baby separator let me make sure our mob slaughter factory is turned off for the moment if we turn on our animal baby separator

It will start taking the babies and again a range add-on inside of there and it’s going to just start pulling the babies into their own little pen here separating the babies from the adults now what would you use that for you may ask well pink slime if you remember in part one

There was a point where we needed pink slime to do some crafting for the machines and everything pink slime is best gained from ma uh like passive mobs so sheep cows uh pigs and everything like that and basically you use a mob slaughter factory and well slaughter the animals

You’ll see them start disappearing here it’s not it’s not a graphic slaughter they just disappear over time and pink slime we start gaining it pink slime is best gained from passive mobs we also have another item in here called liquid meat or another liquid in here liquid meat liquid meat is best gained

From hostile mobs hostile mobs liquid meat passive mobs pink slime got it okay lastly if we come over here to our sewer what the sewer does is it collects our sewage from our animals as well as any experience that may you know happen to be in the area um

We would need to put a uh range add-on because it’s the sewer is centered so if we had it in the center it would work a little better for our experience and everything but mainly we’re here for the sewage um it collects your sewage and it just just collects them

And then you have a sewage composter what the sewage composter does is it takes your sewage turns it into fertilizer fertilizer can then be used to create hydroponic beds and i do believe it can be used to grow plants kind of like a bone meal okay so those are your animal

Machines animal rancher animal feeder baby separator a mob slaughter factory and the sewer in the sewage composter animal machines industrial foregoing also has a number of farming machines that are meant to automate the farming of crops first off we have a plant gatherer and a sludge refiner

On the other side we have a plant fertilizer and then right in the middle here we have a plant sewer and in the back we have a hydroponic bed so let’s start from the front here plant gatherer does exactly what it says it does it gathers your plants for you

In the process of gathering its plants it does create what is known as sludge so let’s turn this guy on and you’re going to see it’s going to start operating and it’s going to start harvesting our plants for us and let me make sure that our plant

Sower is turned off here so we can just you know discuss that in just a moment basically it’s going to harvest our plants now it is not a i don’t know what the technical term of it is a soft harvest a gentle harvest i believe is the term as you can see here

It is harvesting the plant like it’s picking everything up it’s not doing a you know right click where the plant is replanted it’s literally picking up the plant it’s a it’s not gentle it’s a rough harvest but it does harvest your plants for you create sludge which then gets produced

Uh you can push your sludge into a sludge refiner which will then just make random items from the sludge the items are you know simple gravel sand dirt things like that does require one bucket of this to produce and it’s just going to create random items from the sludge for you

So you have your plant gather and you gather all your plants and you’re like okay well that kind of didn’t do much for me because now i have to replant all this by hand here comes the plant sower the plant sower is a machine that as it says sows plants

If you look at the plant sewer from the top and if we turn on its working area we can see i have a range add-on here but it is designed to sit underneath your water so you have it one block below your farm level put your water on

Top of it and then you’ll make sure that all your crops stay hydrated take the sower and look at it and you’ll see you have these different colored quadrants so this is like a light green a blue a black a magenta it looks like purple it’s hard to see with the water

On here to be honest but those spots correspond to these spots in the ui so if we center ourselves properly we can now see green is this section over here yellow red so basically what it does is it takes your nine by nine craft or your nine by nine

Farm breaks it into three by three sections and that is where it’s going to plant your items so for example we’re going to have our potatoes plant in the red section which is over here netherworked plants in the black section which is over here which is why we have soul sand over here

Yeah and that’s pretty much as simple as that now you can lock your inputs so you can say i only want potatoes to go to this slot beetroot seeds carrots you know you can lock your inputs that way if you end up producing a lot of

Potatoes like we do here we don’t fill up all of our inputs with potatoes if we’re piping into our plant sewer from say refined storage or an ender chest or anything like that you lock your inputs that way you don’t you know fill up all on potatoes and then you

Have no netherwork to plant so if we turn on our plant sower we should start seeing it’s planting for us and what we should see is netherwort goes here and potatoes are going to come over here which is exactly how it is and the way that it works is in lines

So it plants you know in its lines and it’ll start over there planting its lines and it’s the same way that the harvester works as it plants you know in lines and as always with all of our machines if we had your speed upgrades and everything you could make it go even

Faster but i wanted you guys to see what the base operation speed is on all of these before you know we threw add-ons in so you getting a realistic idea of what these machines are like as is so we can turn this off you can see we

Ran out of potatoes i don’t have them being piped in from anywhere or anything but yeah that is the plant gatherer sludge refiner in plant sower lastly over here we have our plant fertilizer which does pretty much exactly as you would expect give it some

Bone meal give it some power give it a range add on and it will start bone mealing your crops for you and you’ll see they’ll start growing i don’t think that there are particles as you can see but it will grow them up to full grown each one before moving on to

The next one pretty simple and i realize i have a lever on top of here so i could have ran it with the lever lastly we have a hydroponic bed and the hydroponic bed utilizes or needs fertilizer from an animal farm so you’re gonna have to set up an animal farm

First in order to make this but it kind of acts as like a botany pot if you ever have used the botany pots mod you take your plant that you want to grow put it on top feed it water and feed it water and power and that’s all

That it technically requires is water and power turn it on and it will start you know growing it’ll harvest and replant every operation and it’ll grow as you know you would expect from like a botany pot kind of thing and every tick operation is going to cause it to grow

Or every progress operation feed it to some ether gas though and it will also you can see here this progress bar every time it boosts the speed and i believe the output of the item so yeah hydroponic bed super simple grows one crop for you you can just continuously harvest

One simple crop i will note it does not work with items like melons or pumpkins that you have you know they have their stem and then they grow next to another item it does not work with those at least in my testing i didn’t put dirt

Next to it so maybe it would have worked if it would have put dirt next to it or something but as it stood now did not work but those are your plant gathering or plant farming machines next up we come to our mob farming machines uh industrial foregoing has

Quite a few options when it comes to mob farming so it might take this section may take us a little bit extra time but we’re going to go through all of it and you know we’re going to do the full breakdown so starting out we have your mob

Slaughter factory which again is the same machine that we had over there with the pink slime for our baby animals mob slaughter factory generates liquid meat and pink slime so what you do get a dark room like we have here with our dark glass have mobs

Spawn turn it on and it will slaughter your mobs on the other side here we have a mob crusher mob crusher requires pink slime from our Mob slaughter factory in order to make so you have to go that route first then you can make a mob crusher and what a mob crusher does is kills mobs as if a player killed it and generates the drops also it generates essence it collects the experience and turns it into essence

Inside of here you have a couple options on its ui mainly the same options we had before you know show working area and all that stuff but there’s also this little check mark you have two options here you can either produce essence mobs will generate essence or you can consume the essence

That would be generated but it’ll have a random chance to use looting at any level on the mob that is killed so it depends on what you want to do essence is used for quite a few things mainly enchanting in the future there are enchanting machines that you can use

To automate and you’ll need essence for that so it depends on what you’re going for if you need ender pearls you may want to turn the looting on but if you want to get into enchanting keep it off generate your essence if we go inside of our machine here we

Have or instead of our cage here we have two machines um and real quick i need to go into our options and turn off peaceful mode we have two machines here we have mechanical dirt and we have a mob duplicator mechanical dirt is the cursed earth of industrial foregoing if you

Never played with cursed earth it is a mod that was or a item that was added by i believe extra utilities and extra utilities too in which you could turn regular dirt into cursed earth which will spawn mobs a similar mechanic is available from mob grinding utilities in

Which you can get dreadful dirt and it generates mobs the same as cursed earth did but that is the 1.1.16 version versus 1.112 minecraft versioning mechanical dirt from industrial foregoing requires two things it requires power and it requires liquid meat technically it requires three things it is light dependent so i

Have this lamp on here so it’s not going to be doing anything as soon as we turn it off it will go um this is a slow machine i highly recommend a setting up multiple of them a 9×9 you say and giving them full upgrades because it

Can be very slow keep in mind though that it will use your liquid meat so you’re going to need a mob slaughter factory set up to generate that liquid meat may be beneficial to have two mob farms set up one dedicated to the slaughter factory to generate your liquid meat in

Your pink slime and then another one set up with a mob crusher but anyway your mechanical dirt that’s how that works we also have a machine inside of here called a mob duplicator and that does exactly as it sounds duplicates mobs you provide it with power you provide it

With essence and you provide it with a mob imprisonment tool with a specific mob captured inside of it i’m going to go ahead and turn off this mechanical dirt and we’re going to pop back outside into this chest here and we’re going to see i have a mob imprisonment tool and i

Have an enderman spawn egg the mob imprisonment tool has no mob inside of it and it’s a pretty simple tool to use spawn in this case we’re going to spawn our enderman but find an enderman out in the wild take your mob imprisonment tool right click on him and you’ll capture

The enderman and this does not just apply to hostile mobs you can do it to villagers you can do it to passive mobs if you need to say rabbit’s feet uh you can do it with bees if it’s enabled in the pack some you can just it does have a

Blacklist that can be set up depending on your pack so it may not work with bees but pretty much any entity any mob entity or yeah you can capture all of them except for the case of like the ender dragon bosses enderdragon wither and all that stuff

But you put that in there turn the machine on and it will duplicate so what we’re going to do is we’re going to turn on our mechanical dirt we’re going to come out of here we’re going to turn the light off and we should see mobs start spawning in here

And if we turn on our mob slaughter factory we’ll see the mobs will start disappearing as soon as it operates because it you know it has its progress and there they go they disappeared we generated some more liquid meat in very little liquid slime we’re gonna go ahead and turn that off

And like i said this mechanical dirt is slow i was not joking when i said mechanical dirt can be very slow so it is recommended to have multiple of them that they’re all running at the same time to generate more mobs for our demonstration purposes i’m going

To go ahead and just turn this off you saw how it worked over there and we’re going to turn on our mob duplicator so that it will start duplicating and producing enderman for us now keep in mind with the mob duplicator if the mob lands on top it’s going to

Generate it’s going to spawn them right above it and if they don’t move it will not spawn another one just something to keep in mind like right now he’s not moving he does need to move so if you have the ability to put a mob fan or a vector

Plate or something on top of this to move them off of there if you really want to get it crazy with spawning definitely do so we’re going to go ahead and turn on our mob crusher here and you’re going to see the endermen are going to start disappearing

The nice thing with this mob farm is that there’s no sound so you don’t have to listen to the enderman dying but we’re getting into pearls easy as that and we’re getting essence now if we check the box we’re no longer going to be producing essence but we’re

Gonna get a random chance of looting on here see that one went from six to eight just like that that’s that’s mob slaughtering in industrial foregoing um and the mob duplicating is extremely powerful it’s one of the best parts of mob farms in industrial foregoing let’s just get that enderman killed real quick

Go because you can duplicate any mob that you need for example enderman ender pearls are always an issue especially early game in packs if you can capture an enderman in a mob imprisonment tool you’re good to go however mob imprisonment tools do require gas tiers and plastic to make so

You do have to have gone to the nether and killed some gas and get lucky enough to get again gassed here but if you get one mob imprisonment tool you can you know kind of share it i guess you can use it as needed um yeah but that’s mob farming with industrial foregoing

Our last section for this part of our industrial foregoing mob spotlight mod spotlight is going to be wither automation wither builder um so there are two machines that you’re gonna want to use for your weather builder uh a mob crusher just like we had over there and

I realize now that this guy doesn’t have any power uh during the building of this i accidentally allowed the weather to destroy everything so make sure i have that back in there yes okay so mob crusher to kill the wither and the wither builder itself the wither builder is a super simple

Machine it accepts wither skeleton skulls it accepts soul sand and it’s going to build the wither for you does require power and its inputs are limited to only one of each resource in each slot you cannot put 20 weather skeletons calls in each one one in each so if you want to

Automate this you want to have a barrel set up or refined storage to pump the items into here but if we come up here you’re going to see the area that it’s going to build the wither so this is the area so basically what this means it’s going to

Place the first piece of soul sand in this block space one two three and then the skulls on top it’s going to build the wither which is why i lift this gap here so you could see what it looks like from the top but we’re going to go ahead and close that off

And we’re going to go ahead and i’m going to go ahead and close this off too uh normally you wouldn’t be able to build with compact machine walls but i uh you know added compact machines into this pack so or into this it’s not really a pack but this

Instance of minecraft that i’m playing with so yeah um let’s go ahead down here turn off the working area and we’re going to go ahead and set this to run once we’re not going to be able to see it do it because it’s pretty quick but you can

See now there is a wither spawned in our base here he’s going to do his explosion and he’s probably going to get pretty upset and destroy that which i figured would happen because i had that door open but that’s why i you know was standing here

So we’ll set our mob crusher back up we’re going to go ahead and put all of our add-ons in here and you can see there it already killed the wither right so what you could do is encase this and if you had like a wither proof glass

That would be the best but i did not add a weatherproof glass into this mod pack so we don’t have that but if we go into here and we turn on and just let this run it’s going to spawn a wither if i set it yeah there it goes like did

I sit at the pole it’s going to pull the items and build another wither as soon as it comes into there ticks it’ll build a wither and there it is and it’s basically just going to automate killing the wither for you building it and killing it building

It and killing it and i mean it’s as literally as simple as that just make sure that you you know have it set up in an area where you’re not gonna you know destroy your machines by accident because you didn’t plan for the wither explosion yeah automated netherstar production

From industrial foregoing and it’s not really that expensive to make let’s go ahead and kill this weather here real quick and then we’re pretty much done do it bam before and some essence and that is the weather destruction and building and destroying machines and that is the end of this playthrough er
