What is going on my beautiful builders it is kiladrone and welcome to a brand new let’s play here in minecraft 1.18 i’m not gonna lie to you guys i am super excited for this brand new let’s play because i want to build a kingdom it has been

Absolutely ages since i have built an entire kingdom in minecraft in fact i think the last time that i did one actually the last couple of times i think i did one was in creative mode and i haven’t made a survival kingdom in a very very long

Time so i think that’s why i want the goal for this let’s play to be and i know i know that’s that’s a pretty lofty goal how you don’t say kill a drone very lofty goal on episode one already talking about building kingdoms yeah very lofty no but for real this is

Actually something that i’ve always loved to do in minecraft is build up a massive kingdom with an entire theme and an entire lore behind it and i haven’t done it in quite a while and it’s something that i really want to do in this let’s play with 1.18 adding all

Of this new terrain i think that this is the perfect time to make something like this so i’m super excited and this is gonna be a super fun series i’m i don’t know i’m just i’m ready to go i really am i’m ready to go with this series and

Uh before we get into kingdom goals we obviously we gotta just play minecraft we just gotta play minecraft and uh get ourselves some nice gear set up get ourselves a starter base and all of that but a kingdom a kingdom is our end goal for this let’s play an entire

Kingdom with a castle and the whole nine yards the whole nine yards we’re going big for this let’s play and i am absolutely thrilled to be doing this 1.18 is such a big update and i am i’m ready to get going i’m ready to get going hey

Nice iron iron right off the bat all right let’s do this thing let’s go ahead and get ourselves some wood planks get ourselves a crafting table and this is not gonna be a normal let’s play where like i show you guys how to do every single thing like here’s how to craft

Pickaxe and stuff like that yeah i’m i’m i’m not doing that there there’s a ton there’s a ton of minecraft guides and stuff out there go go watch those we’re just gonna have fun here we’re gonna have fun play some minecraft and build up really big

Big builds and stuff i i really don’t know don’t know exactly what all we’re going to get into i know we’re going to get into some farms at some point i know that we’re going to get into big mega builds like i tend to do and uh

Yeah i’m just excited i’m just excited this is gonna be a fun let’s play and i hope that you guys enjoy it and you’re ready to come along on this adventure with me i’m not gonna lie i made that sound like really grand and to be honest

With you my plans thus far is like play minecraft build cool stuff and that’s that’s basically the whole thought that’s went into this series thus far so if you’re expecting more like you know a plan prop probably probably not the place for you we’re just we’re gonna have fun you guys know that

Okay i’m i’m sure he’ll forgive me he’ll he’ll laugh at me or something i don’t know uh anyway we have ourselves some basic tools set up let’s go ahead and get ourselves some cow kills because i definitely want to get leather started i don’t want to be looking for leather for books and

Such when we need enchantments i’d rather have the leather ready to go so as we move toward our base location which i have already picked out uh as we move toward it we’re going to kill cows along the way and goodness gracious why am i getting so much lag

It’s like huge lag spikes not like consistent lag i’m running at like 250 fps and then all of a sudden i just jump down to like 2 fps i have no idea what’s going on but anyway uh yeah i’m going to kill the cows and i’m also going to kill some of

Those sheep over there so that i can get myself a bed and i can avoid the very first night and after those very generous donations from those cows and the sheep i can now make myself a bed in order to skip our very first night and

Whenever we wake up i also am going to need to make a boat so that we can get to our base location and we have quite the journey to make today because right now we are at negative 17 143 and our base location is at 1600

500 so we do have a quite the trip to make but that’s okay because i’m going to use this as an opportunity to try and get ourselves geared up as we go along and i’m going to show you guys how we do that and also

We can collect up sugarcane as we go as well because that’s going to be super useful for when we get enchanting as well so yeah we’re going to kill a bunch of birds all with one one adventure bunch of birds one adventure i thought that made a lot more sense in

My head so like i said we’re going to try and get ourselves geared up on our way to our base and one of the main ways that we’re going to do that is utilizing shipwrecks because shipwrecks are actually really really good for early game we can get pretty geared up without

Ever having to go mining just by using shipwrecks so if we go ahead and head in here as you can see there’s a lot of iron and gold and such like that right here in these shipwrecks and i didn’t have to go mining for one second

In order to get it i can also go ahead and just grab the chest and now we have a chest as well and i don’t think that this is one that has an underneath but if it has it underneath then we could possibly get ourselves a treasure chest which

Also could get us diamonds very early game oh there’s another chest let’s see what do we have uh ah there is a buried treasure map ahaha perfect let’s go ahead and grab that paper as well don’t know that we’re gonna need it gonna go ahead and grab

The clock and feathers i’m not gonna worry about uh bury treasure map how far are we uh okay a little bit of a ways away we’re not on the map okay we’re gonna head over there though we’re definitely gonna head over there because buried treasures means hearts of the sea as well

As potentially diamonds all right do you guys want to see a trick i’m gonna show you a trick but you can’t tell anyone okay here we go this is what we’re gonna do go ahead and get out your buried treasure map go to where you are in the

Chunk where the x is so just be kind of close to the x then what you’re gonna do is hit f3 and g and now you can see this is the chunk border that our chest is going to be in for our buried treasure

Now go ahead and hit f3 so you pull up your coordinates and then what we’re going to look at here is you see this number right here where it says chunk you’re going to have a 9 here and a 9 here all you got to do is move around in

The chunk until you find that so now my first number is 9 and now my second number is nine if we dig down right here this is going to be where our treasure is go ahead and dig straight down bada bing bada boom you got yourself a treasure chest that is

Consistent all the time get close to where the chest is and then nine-nine it absolutely beautiful but it’s a secret guys it’s a secret don’t tell anyone i also realized that i probably just ruined the magic of buried treasure for all of you guys so

If that was still a mystery on how to find those to you guys i i apologize well kind of i apologize honestly you’re welcome because sometimes those things are a pain to find if you don’t want to use that method just don’t use it but if you can’t find the treasure just

Just nine-nine it it’s a whole lot easier i it takes me no time at all to find buried treasure alrighty and another shipwreck has been found let’s go ahead and see books and another buried treasure map not bad okay buried treasure map is the most important part and i guess i’ll

Take that paper as well oh we’re about to die we’re about to die please don’t die okay we’re fine there should be another chest in here though i think let’s go ahead and see if we can get down here and get to it without drowning there it is uh

Food and stuff tnt i’ll take that all right let’s go let’s go nothing nothing important there we can get all of that stuff somewhere else okay buried treasure map let’s see if yes okay so this one is a different treasure map good let’s go and see if we can find

That treasure well that buried treasure was a bit of a disappointment just iron and gold and hearts of the sea and stuff like that no diamonds so kind of not getting too lucky with these right now but i mean still buried treasures are still very good i

Mean i have 20 iron ingots without doing any mining thus far and i’m just adventuring so you know it’s it’s not the fastest obviously i could get 20 iron super quick by going and doing just a little bit of mining but while i’m trying to move toward my base i can still get

Geared up i mean can you really ask for anything better why is there is there a village through there or something why do i see light i know i saw light over here what’s going on hello skeletor i don’t want to deal with you oh

Oh that’s what it is it’s just lava okay that’s disappointing i thought i was gonna find my first village okay onward to my base this is uh quite a huge side track oh wow i’m i actually went the opposite direction of which way i needed to go so uh yeah let’s get back

On course [Laughter] Wow wow wow wow that that ladies and gentlemen was our first little glimpse of what minecraft 1.18 has in store for us and our base location our base location is just as impressive oh a village a village kind of on the side of a mountain too uh

Yeah sure sure we have time for a detour yeah yeah we got doctor yeah sure we got plenty of time for a detour what else do we have to do let’s go let’s go check out this village oh oh wait wait wait wait wait wait wait i just

Realized the coordinates that we’re at we’re at 1300 300 this this is the back side this is the back side of where our base location is oh this makes this even cooler this is like right near our base dude okay i’m not gonna i’m not gonna show you guys i

Mean i guess this is kind of a sneak peek but i’m not gonna show you guys too much i’m gonna kind of kind of look down here as we come through this village and check out everything that these guys have to offer what you guys got oh emerald some leather some bread hello

I am going to pillage absolutely everything out of your village i hope that you do not mind whatsoever you don’t look like you’re gonna mind you look you look like a good buddy okay take those f3 things off my screen let’s see what else we got around here hello piggy

How are you doing anything in here other than iron lots of iron i think that i may actually take some of these dudes real quick and try and get a fortune guy that would be that would be super useful see we could get fortune three right off the back before we ever go

Mining wouldn’t that be useful oh that would be so useful that would be so incredibly useful okay let’s destroy this hey let’s see if we can maybe if we’re lucky get fortune three well that’s nice that’s that’s always nice i’m gonna be all the way back and spawn i [Laughter]

Let the adventure begin part two i mean on the bright side i can just kind of rush right over there because i don’t need to stop for anything i already have everything on me so yeah just boat all the way there and we’re right on the water so you know

Look at the bright side bed bed bed bed bed bed bed bed oh of course i picked the one house that doesn’t have a bed what the heck [Laughter] where’s my bed my bed’s gotta be around here somewhere bed bed bed bed bed is my bed down here oh my bed’s down

Here okay all right looks like we’re looks like we’re going down okay uh here here boom there we go all right sleep sleep away all the creepy crawlies there we go oh how did i how did i manage to pick the one house that doesn’t have a

That doesn’t have a bed in it oh just my luck okay we need to eat and then i need to go get my stuff from up there hey and the blacksmith has some stuff for me nice all right i will take that you know what this village this village has done

Me uh pretty well not gonna lie now i want to make a lectern i want to make a lectern and i also want to sell all of the hay that was in this village back to that farmer dude so that i can get myself a ton of emeralds and

Hopefully get a fortune book a fortune book right out of the gate would be so big dude it would be so big because that means that our mining right out of the gate is going to be amazing all right let’s get crafting and i think i just need is it slabs

Slabs and a book i need a bookshelf i don’t remember i have no clue i guess i need a bookshelf first let’s go ahead and let’s go ahead and start with that go ahead and get planks bookshelf there we go now where’s the lectern there we go lectern okay we can get fortune

Because we have an extra book so yeah we should be hello i thought you were mad at me okay we’re fine uh let’s go ahead and put some more junk into this chest for right now let’s try and roll fortune that’s that’s our next goal and there we go ladies and

Gentlemen after about 15 minutes of re-rolling this villager over and over again we finally got a fortune 3 book it is for 41 emeralds which is a bit expensive but uh yeah i think i’m gonna go ahead and do this anyway because that gives us a huge

Advantage right off the start and we still haven’t even went mining so we’re gonna be able to get a ton of iron coal diamonds everything that you can find we’re gonna get a ton of it right off the bat just because we immediately have fortune 3. however i probably want to

Save this fortune 3 book until i get a diamond pickaxe rather than throwing it on an iron pickaxe so i think i’m going to hold off on actually adding this to a pick yet but uh good to have this guy already set up and ready to go i’m just

Gonna go ahead and block him in make sure nothing is able to get to him everything’s lit up fine uh just in case let’s go ahead and add two more blocks up there just to be sure and i think we’re good to go let’s go ahead and head out and

I think it’s time to actually go to the proper front entrance of our base that that is cool this is not our main base location this is like the side of our main base location but that’s pretty cool i’m not gonna lie and i think

I’m gonna make note of that we could do something really cool inside of that it kind of looks like a hollowed out mountain yeah that’s gonna be on the to-do list for sure but our base is actually right around this corner over to the right as you can see

Absolutely gorgeous snowy hills right there right next to this icy peaks biome let’s go ahead and follow the river in as far as we possibly can go and right over this hill is where our main base is going to be i am excited to show you guys this is the big reveal Ladies and gentlemen i absolutely love this base location it is so so gorgeous with the mountains absolutely all the way around us with nothing more than a small gap to enter into this valley this is the perfect place for us to nestle in a gorgeous kingdom and then maybe add a couple of

Castles onto these peaks oh it’s perfect but i don’t think i want to build in this valley quite yet i think i want to do a little bit more planning before i start building right here in the kingdom so i think for our starter base and such i want to do that

Outside of the valley along the coast maybe get ourselves a small port set up with a couple of buildings out there leading in to the rest of the kingdom i think if we start smaller with this build and then work our way up into the kingdom once we have more supplies and

Things like that i think that’s going to make the kingdom feel a lot better and the ports well we can improve the ports later on right now i just kind of want to keep the uh the build small i want to keep things a little bit more secluded until i have

Much bigger plans wow some of these caves go down really really deep okay let’s go ahead and head back outside of this valley and i’m going to set down some chests and stuff out here and then i think i’m going to go ahead and do our first

Mining expedition i’m mostly going to be looking for diamonds though so i can get fortune 3 on a diamond pick then we can really start doing some mining i mean honestly though this entire area is just gorgeous look at this look at this that’s so cool this is outside of our

Little valley area our valley is right there that’s just here that’s ripe for building as well i could totally see making something over there in the future maybe maybe just a castle just set it right up there that would be absolutely gorgeous this entire seed it really is it really is beautiful i

Mean we had a little bit of a trek to get out here but overall overall gorgeous okay let’s let’s just find ourselves a relatively flat spot to lay some stuff down and then we’ll find a cave for us to go into well hello there i was just digging straight down

In order to make myself a mine shaft and uh look what i found [Laughter] nice little geode okay exactly what i was looking for but oh listen to that oh i still love walking on this stuff any diamonds no diamonds of course i’m out of torches as well so everything’s super dark and

There we go ladies and gentlemen after a little bit of strip mining here i have hit my very first diamond there we go can we get three three would be absolutely fantastic hello silverfish i keep finding these guys and they’re quite annoying i think it’s because i’m in a mountain

Biome though let’s go ahead and see uh snowy slopes so yeah i think that counts as mountains and i’ll probably be seeing these guys pretty often but only two only two diamonds that’s not enough for a pick so we gotta keep going i am a little bit concerned though

Because this is my last iron pick which means i’m gonna have to go back up to the surface at some point uh maybe we’ll find one more diamond before then i guess it doesn’t matter either way i’m gonna have to go back up to the surface because i don’t have any

Sticks on me either i really came unprepared but i got plenty of torches so i guess that’s good uh uh what was that i just heard the creepiest ambient cave noise i’ve ever heard in my entire life did they change the ambient cave sound holy snap that was creepy wow wow wow wow

That is that is scary that is very scary finally oh man i know that the ore generation changed in minecraft 1.18 but i don’t know i don’t know it kind of feels to me like it changed a little bit toward the bad right i don’t feel like it’s as good

As it used to be i know they say that there are more diamond ore veins but the ore veins are smaller and to me it seems the opposite it seems like the ore veins are non-existent and when i find them they’re smaller it’s it’s just i don’t know i’m having a really bad

Time finding diamonds but that is six right there to be honest with you i probably should have just grabbed one and then fortune the others that was kind of a new move but you know what whatever that’s fine we got enough diamonds for a diamond pickaxe let’s go

Get fortune on this guy so before i commit to adding fortune 3 to my diamond pick i wanted to see if i could go ahead and get 30 levels and get an enchantment table set up so there’s actually a village over here that i’m gonna go ahead and loot and see

If there’s hay bales and things like that around so i can trade villagers i’m hoping that i can maybe trade with villagers in order to get up to level 30. i’m not entirely sure if this is a good plan or not however it is a good plan

With all of the loot that i keep getting i’ve gotten 12 books from these guys already that’s that’s pretty good pace on our way to a enchanting setup so i mean i’m not mad about it not mad about it at all let’s go ahead and keep looking here though i don’t see

Any hay bales and that’s something that i was really really hoping to get i guess we could kill this iron golem for some iron but i don’t think that’s gonna do us any good pumpkins are good pumpkins are very good because i can trade those with

These guys as well in order to get some emeralds and also get some levels so not bad not bad still not what i’m looking for though i’m looking for hay bales because hay is hay is the thing to trade okay so i’m gonna be honest not a great village as

Far as levels were concerned however i did get 30 books from that village which means i got 10 bookshelves that’s 10 bookshelves already in the bag that is pretty close to a full enchant setup so not a complete loss but definitely would have been nice to get

Some more levels out of that but you know beggars can’t be choosers at this point i’m gonna see if there’s other ways for me to get levels real quick i guess i can cook up some food and stuff like that but that’s really not gonna give me all that much

Uh i may have to come up with another plan or i can just go ahead and throw fortune onto this pickaxe i kind of don’t want to do that i kind of want to get at least a basic enchant on this pick first okay so i think i’ve

Decided what i want to do i’m going to go ahead and i am going to put fortune 3 on this diamond pickaxe with an anvil and then i’m gonna do a one hour mining session just to collect up materials because i still really want to get a base up today

Just as a small starter house but that’s kind of important to me i really want to get that in so i’m going to go ahead and do fortune 3 on this diamond pick and i’m just going to go for a one hour mining session and i’ll use iron picks

For basically everything except for the things that need to be fortuned i think that’s a good compromise since we still don’t have 30 levels right now and getting levels is kind of a pain early game well hello there [Laughter] that that is incredibly useful i know that

They said that they increased the mob spawner rate uh like the chance of these spawners existing but that was that was pretty quick that was uh basically the first cave that i went into i found one of these guys so that’s nice what’s in this chest uh coal and some bones not bad

Do i want to turn this spawner into an actual trap or do i just want to leave it for now i kind of feel like leaving it for now i know this is technically a super early form of xp in the game but i don’t know i really feel like doing

Mining we’re like we’re like literally two minutes into our one-hour mining session we’re like right at the surface the surface is right up there um yeah i think i’m gonna leave it i think i’m gonna leave it and i think i’m gonna put all of this stuff back into these

Chests as well and we’ll come back and get it later yeah yeah i think that’s what i’m gonna do i wanna i wanna continue mining for right now i mean let’s be honest i really i really just wanna explore these massive caves 1.18 is so cool dude

It is so so cool i never thought that minecraft would ever end up like this but wow 1.18 really is just amazing okay you mr skeleton you’re gonna end up being the death of me and i don’t want another death by skeleton in the first episode oh there’s

So many skeletons oh hi there hi there you guys found me hello hello okay yeah no we’re gonna we’re gonna make we’re not gonna make it we’re not gonna make it we’re gonna run we’re gonna run that’s three three skeletons versus one killer is not a recipe for success oh four skeletons

All right we just we’re having a good old time here okay all right yeah this is death this is death i can go ahead and tell you guys this is death this is death this is death this is death no fight fight i have no choice but to fight

Oh no no no no no no no no no no no no no nailed it whoa ho ho ho ho all right all right that’s kind of cool that’s kind of cool i’m not gonna lie uh i don’t know how i’m gonna get down there to the abandoned mine shaft but uh cool

Nevertheless i hope that a skeleton doesn’t try and knock me off okay how am i gonna get down uh do we just nailed it oh there’s skeletons and stuff okay that was a bad idea hold on let’s let’s get to like a safe-ish area okay so i learned something about 1.18

And that’s that mining is a lot harder it really is mining is a lot harder than it used to be a one-hour mining session just isn’t the same as the 1.17 one-hour mining sessions here let me show you so i told you guys i was going to go on a one hour mining

Session and instead what i did was basically about a two and a half hour mining session and this is our results i mean i’m okay with the amount of iron that we got gold ah that’s probably fine as well but the big kicker is the diamonds man that

That is not a lot of diamonds at all for two and a half hours that’s over 50 diamonds but in 1.17 this would have been nothing and i think that this is due to a couple of factors first off is that diamond generation has actually changed and on

Average there are less ores per vein but not only that you take a long time to get down to the bottom of the world i didn’t think that that extra what is it 60 blocks or something and the negatives that the world goes now i didn’t think that was going to be such

A big deal but if you’re just traveling in the caves and you’re not using a strip mine like what i did it takes a long time it takes a long long time to get down there not only that it takes a long time to get back up and you know ladies and

Gentlemen i really wanted to go ahead and get a house built on our very first episode but i just don’t think that’s going to happen we are completely out of time for the first episode so that house is going to have to wait until the next

One and uh yeah we’re probably gonna go to the nether in the next one as well we’re gonna have to really get moving on our progress here but ladies and gentlemen i do hope that you enjoyed our very first episode of our minecraft 1.18 let’s play i appreciate you guys
