kmbles – All of Fabric 5 Version 2.0 | Minecraft Modpack Overview

Foreign Hey there my name is kimballs and today we’re going to be having a quick look through the all of fabric 5 mod pack as well as cover what’s new in the recently released version 2.0 the massive new update which the devs have slated as their biggest one ever

In case you didn’t know all the fabric 5 is a kitchen sink mod pack for Minecraft 1.18.2 put out by the crack team of hard-working scientists over at team aof it boasts over 300 Tech magic utility performance and world changing mods that are available with a fabric mod loader

One of the most common arguments you hear leveled against fabric is the supposed lack of mods available on it well while that may have been true way back when the fabric Community has grown rapidly since its launch in 2018 with many Forge mods being ported over to

Fabric and even a few completely new and original mods exclusive to the platform and you can probably imagine that the most obvious place to Showcase all the best mods that the community has to offer would be in something called All of fabric right for anyone who’s played aof-5 before

Version 2.0 brings a number of massive changes including New World Generation new Quest chapters custom rewards and a new challenge section for the initiator to really test their skills and of course a number of new mods but more on that later I’ll try to discuss all these changes as

We go through the video but to help make it clear I’ll throw up one of these on the screen whenever necessary in a pack so big it’d be impossible to cover everything but I’ve tried to cover what I think are some of the main features and mods and divided all that

Into a few chapters that can hopefully help you navigate this hot mess of a video so let’s hop to it With the inclusion of Terror lift in the latest updates at the back comes a fundamental overhaul of the world taking more vanilla Minecraft provided to World Generation in the case and cliffs updates and turning it up to 11. there are literally hundreds of new biomes added by mods including Terror

Lift other biomes you go and Promenade while by a makeover breathes fresh life into existing biomes like the Badlands swamp and Dark Forest although we’ll have to wait for all of fabric 6 to play in Minecraft 1.19 the wild backboard brings some of that new content back into 1.18 including

Mangrove swamps the deep dark and the warden apart from being a blank canvas the world around you is chock full of life and feels like it’s steeped in history with a huge amount of structures added from mods like Jung’s repurposed structures most structures structury the graveyard and probably some others

These from a salute but uh also their fresh air Danger there’s custom mine shafts and villagers including this beautiful castle that I’ve decided to squat in you have not given this one back and with the addition of ambient sounds 5 you’ll have to fight the urge to just

Sit back and chill on your boat for a couple hours reel it in some loot crates with the Terraria inspired Go Fish Mod around the world you’ll find a huge variety of animals and insects from mods such as good all naturalist and ecologics these include Bears butterflies Birds fireflies snails and snakes rhinos

Elephants and uh I think you get the point some of them aren’t so friendly though so it might be best to keep your distance but you do you Although you’ll definitely want to exercise caution around these next few you’ve got creeper overhaul replacing vanilla Creepers with biome specific ones and terrarian slimes bring in a huge variety of slimes from that other much-loved game over into Minecraft in this mod such as the graveyard and Adventure Z bosses of mass destruction

Basically there’s no shortage of new and scary things to hit with a stick including the Savage Ender Dragon which they’ve just added in this latest update speaking of the Nether and the end Dimensions have also received a massive facelift with their own share of new biomes structures and mobs to explore

They’re now beautiful enough to realistically build your own base there so Gohan Ade you if that’s still starting to feel like a bit much and you need somewhere quiet to retreat to and just be alone with your thoughts simple void has got you covered giving you plenty of room to build your

Base from scratch without having to worry about like literally anything else it’s just you just you and your intrusive thoughts okay take me home please if you haven’t been to the Twilight Forest before you’re in for a lot of fun it’s basically an entire Dimension with its own progression system based on

Exploration and defeating a series of increasingly difficult bosses and following the advancements page when you get stuck it’s also just a great place to gather resources early on I had a heap of fun there in my previous let’s play and we’ll be back again soon highly recommend five stars

And finally if you ever find yourself short of cheese yes I said cheese why not take a quick trip over to the freaking moon to pick up some with the help of add Astra in addition to an in-game manual the new update also includes Quest chapters to help you navigate the Stars

So how do you build a rocket with technology of course what else is technology all of these Tech mods of course that’s right we’ve stumbled into the next section of the video tech mods of which the pack includes a few starting off with Industrial Revolution and Tech Reborn

With these two you’ve got all the basic machines necessary to get your factory up and running reducing power and refining that ore they also have a number of unique blocks that will help you automate pretty much everything you need including Wood Farms fishing or a greenhouse for all your veggies

They also both include a number of ways to generate energy something you’ll need to keep an eye on if you want to keep those machines up and running however this is the point where you’ll probably want to have a look into Power a fun new way to power your base that

Has also just been added into the back or why not ditch power altogether and opt instead for rotational Force produced Naturally by wind and water with create you can build a whole assembly line of belts and carts and even trains yes with schedules and all to automate as much or as little as

You’d like alright so I haven’t done more than just get my feet wet and create yet but I seriously encourage you to check out their latest trailer to see just how insane this mod really is I’ll link it in the description and finally certainly not for the faint

Of heart we have the incredible modern industrialization a tech mod inspired by gregtech industrial craft and factorio where their aim is for you to build a production line of ever increasing complexity and scale this fabric exclusive mod is complicated but fair rewarding the effort the player puts in with what are essentially infinite

A story-driven exploration-based magic mod focusing on the natural energies that flow in the world represented in color I’ve spent a couple hours playing in spectrum and I’ve got to say it seems like a completely original Minecraft experience with progression Guided by intuitive and sometimes hilarious hints that are dropped around the world

It’s beautiful it’s Unique and mysterious I kind of wish I was playing it right now so let’s move along shall we there’s also quite a few other magic mods in the pack for aspiring witches Wizards and warlocks including arcanus which gives you a handy wand you’ll need

To upgrade through usernet in combat by teleporting to your spawn point when in a pickle and even mad dashing around the place looking like an idiot if you’ve got a Lust For Blood why not sacrifice the Villager and make a deal with the devil in bewitchment

You can brew potions cast curses on your enemies or Buffs on yourself or even befriend a variety of familiars which Grant special abilities failing that you can always just fly around all day on a fancy broom like Harry Frogger does here another recent addition to the pack is

Hex casting inspired by PSY which gets its own Quest chapter in this new update you can cast explosions Fireballs you can teleport you can place and Destroy blocks or liquids inflict debuffs change the weather and so much more it’s kind of ridiculous sadly I’ve never played it

But from what I’ve seen from doing a little bit of research for this video I’ve decided it looks super intricate and deep and definitely worth my time and by extension yours in lieu of me failing miserably at trying to explain it here you can see a quick video of YouTuber Kieran Dave

Using hex casting to summon some light and then we can cast our create light moving on there is of course the weird and wonderful Britannia a staple in many a mod back is it a tech mod is it a magic mod should it even matter well according to

The mod developers it’s a tech mod themed around natural magic which focuses on automation without pipes or wires or even a GUI instead it uses the power of flowers because why not next up we have Conjuring and spirit which share a similar kind of theme as one another although each really does

Have its own distinct approach Conjuring is a mod about capturing various mobs pretty much anything from vanilla Minecraft inside what’s called a Conjuring focus and using that in a conjurer to spawn more whether you use this to conjure cows or creepers or even zombie villagers is up

To you and you can’t even upgrade your conjurer with gems to increase the amount and frequency of spawns as well as make it work without you needing to be nearby I don’t know get Outdoors read a book just do something else and whatever mob farm you’ve built up will

Continue to work for you in the background it also has a number of cool end game tools Spirit uses the power of souls to summon monsters in power tools and transform mobs into other mobs like Conjuring it has a spawner called a soul cage which can also be upgraded to

Spawn more mobs more frequently depending on the number of souls contained in it you can Empower your weapons with captured souls to give special effects for example empowering your sword with blaze Souls will set your Target on fire pretty cool you can even summon mobs from thin air

Using Soul Magic by sacrifice in certain items pretty cool of course these aren’t the only options to make a mob farm along with a bunch of other cool things kibbei brings the pack cursed dirt which massively amplifies spawning conditions in whatever biome you place it if you want wither skeletons to spawn

Like crazy try placing some of this stuff in another Fortress all I’m saying then you have deep mob learning Which is less concerned with spawning mobs and more interested in producing ridiculous amounts of their loot from Mob data models FYI this is a really neat way to produce netherstar’s end game

So if you haven’t already noticed we’ve seamlessly transitioned into the next section of the video which I’m calling Automation and Storage making its debut pack appearance in version 2.0 is botany plots inspired by the mod bonsai trees which anyone who spent any time in Sky Factory 4 will be familiar with

Here you can grow various trees and crops in teeny tiny pots and even output them into your storage system to have passive production to keep on top of your ever expanding pile of stuff you’re going to want to take advantage of a number of the storage options available in the pack

To store a large number of a single item we have Tech reborn storage units and modern industrialization’s barrels Then There are a variety of chests with a variety of inventory sizes from Iron chest restocked as well as entangled chests from kibbei which are kind of like Ender Chest from vanilla but with

An added benefit of being able to set which chest you want share in an inventory by color coding them foreign next up we have fan favorite dank storage these things can be upgraded to store truly ridiculous amounts of a large number of items if you set two or

More tanks to the same frequency they’ll share an inventory and you can switch between storage and construction mode on the Fly the ladder letting you directly place blocks in the world or do things like open books you have stored in your dank they’re honestly so good that they’re

Bound to be nerfed one day so get in while you can and while we’re on the topic of portable storage both inmus and traveler’s backpack offer a large number of trendy bags to store your items in on the go the latter also having two tanks that

You can use to store whatever fluids you want some of these even have unique abilities like night vision fire resistance and uh even the ability to lay eggs and the best thing is you can wear an inmus and a traveler’s backpack at once while not required it’s highly

Recommended by everyone in the know that you need to get yourself into applied energistics too an insanely complex and beautiful storage and automation mod which can and probably should be the backbone of your Bass making your life and mine infinitely easier you use it to connect your storage to

Your factory machines assigning recipes to specific blocks and having your system route items to and from where they need to go to get even the most complex of tasks done automatically it’s way too big of a mod to get into here and I’m still a noob but it’s definitely worth trying out again

Essential so I hear you ask what’s the point of it all kimbels firstly this ain’t the place to get all existential secondly the point is whatever you want it to be there’s more than enough in this pack to extend a playthrough into the hundreds of hours or more if that’s what you want

Or you could even choose to just stick to a single mod like create and just take advantage of the Beautiful World Generation that the rest of the pack provides most likely though is you’ll want to mix and match until you find whatever works for you and that’s cool

Too each playthrough is going to be unique for the Builders out there you’re really spoiled for Choice with a huge and I mean huge amount of blocks to build with from Architects palette blockers industrial Decor macaws Bridges doors fences and walls lights and lamps parts and pavings roofs trap doors and windows

Yes or you can spruce up your base with something from decorative blocks then we have chipped new in this update which adds a number of workbenches where you can change blocks into something more detailed that suits your fancy apparently there’s something like 2 000 unique blocks to choose from so that’s a thing

And if you don’t like what’s on offer seems unbloody likely you can even carve out your own blocks pixel by pixel with chisel and bits good luck to you also lending a hand in the construction of your dream build are tools including staff for building and structure tools

Which is a Fabric Port of the popular building gadgets by direwolf20. whether built in a village or moving into an already established one you might want to consider giving a job to one of the many new Villages added by more villagers and new villager abilities in productive Villages or you

Could join the guild and become a Hired Hand yourself if it’s a fighting challenge you’re after there are bosses from a number of mods to test your medal against including the previously mentioned Twilight Forest bosses of mass destruction Adventures or eventually and Britannia but the simplest thing that you could do

Is just follow him meticulously put together Quest book which does a really good job guiding you through a large number of the mods completing all of the quests would be quite a feat particularly those in the new Challenger section which sets out some truly brutal challenges that will reward perseverance with creative mode

Powers it goes without saying but just like in vanilla there’s also advancements that you can follow as well as a huge number of in-game manuals but I guess I just said it your best friend through this whole Adventure after me of course is going to be roughly enough resources or REI for short

As the name suggests it’s similar to jei which people might be familiar with hover over and press r or left click to see how to make something or press U or right click to see an item’s uses there’s so much more to REI but the only way to learn is by doing

Yeah yeah thanks keep the change so basically with so many mods in this pack there’s no single right way to play just like my villager friend here that’s completely up to you if I were you thank God I’m not I’d be starting to wonder if my PC could even handle all this madness

Well you’d be surprised the pack holds up pretty well thanks to the inclusion of a number of performance mods like sodium a replacement rendering engine for Minecraft which greatly improves frame rates lithium uh general purpose optimization mod which improves a number of systems like physics mob Ai and block

Ticking and replacing phosphere in this update is Starlight a complete rewrite of the Minecraft light engine which fixes lighting performance and errors with these mods you should see a huge performance boost and you can always tweak things down to minute details thanks to the high level of customization long story short there’s

Enough performance mods in this back to make your computer go vroom then this final section that we’re calling uh other I’m just going to quickly Jam in a few things that I didn’t have time to cover above and because I really don’t want to have to

Make a part two so here goes way stones let you teleport between them anywhere in the world and even across dimensions shift right click with empty hands to pick up chests some mobs and even spawners for easy relocation thanks to carrier Pro tip squat on one of those teleported things while holding onto

Something to save yourself a long trip if you prefer to take to the air to get from A to B you’ve got plenty of choices to name just two broomstick and jet pack or for something more down to earth you could always build the dream car of your

Dreams with automobility and for those not in a rush but who would rather take in the sounds and smells of the world look no further than the trusty snail there’s also guard villagers new Minecart and Redstone functionality countless awesome tools and weapons enchantment mods that both add a huge

Number of new enchants and let you add or remove them in a number of ways compact machines is in here the Archeology Mod has just been added you can vein mine up to 64 blocks at once the cute and Immortal luggage mod will pick up anything you drop there’s food

Mods for days including crop topio and Farmer’s Delight there’s Mythic mounts both doodads and artifacts add a huge number of accessories that give things like night vision underwater breathing and a whoopee cushion and just added is one that I’m really excited about the long-awaited Fabric Port of tinker’s construct her faces Hephaestus

Hephaestus there we go also new in this update is the addition of the staff of traveling which lets you teleport short distances even through walls as well as to any nearby anchor points big video and I feel like we barely scratched the surface I hope I’ve convinced you that fabric is a great
