Let’s Play Minecraft Survival : Building a NEW Windmill and Farming area!

Hey folks swipe here and welcome to episode 24 of the minecraft let’s play next episode is world tour and download click that like button down below if you’re excited for that thing but today i’ve got an awesome idea last time we built this structure over here thank you all so very much

For the support on that one if you missed it it’s uh it was a good one we built up a giant observatory here inside of our city finally used some of that end stone and got an awesome looking telescope up there after we acquire an elytra in the future

We will be able to get it better look at that one but moving forward with the plan for today’s episode i wanted to get right into it i know i was asking for a few ideas on what we could do what we should focus on and where we should be

Putting our attention moving forwards and well after we built this little pathway to end off a last episode i had a fantastic idea this one right here is something that uh it’s gonna be nighttime and i think it’ll look a million times better in the day so let me go sleep real fast

And that is because this bamboo island over here i mentioned it last time but i want to turn it into our farming outpost if we look inside of the city turning us over to a little bit of replay mod footage right here we can see everything going back and forth across this entire

Area and almost dividing it up into three little islands between our starter house where we have the city on that edge of the cliff and now where we are trying to jump around the blocks over on this brand new edge here with all of the bamboo that we were just able

To link up to i think it’d be absolutely amazing if by the time we release the world tour and download it looks like we’re touching all three little parts of this island eventually working away around the entire bay that we have here so my plan for today’s episode was to

Work on the end over here and build up a really really cool steampunky looking windmill that we can have overseeing the edge of this they’ll be used for all the farming area where it’s currently bamboo i think we’re going to get rid of that and turn into a little bit of farmland

However right now we do have this interesting segment right up here that is just land and i’m somehow in the side of a block and i wanted to get all the way up here and see if we could well we’re actually on the top of this one if we could take this all

Down and then get some building work going on ooh there’s even floating islands all around me i am flipping i’m breaking a lot of blocks breaking a lot of bucks and hey look there’s a bunch of bamboo too oh my gosh we’re breaking all the blocks and

Wow we made it all the way down now that we’ve got that thing out of the way i think it’s time that we can get rocking on building up the windmill structure around here and i was thinking we style it a bit after our starter house so that that thing doesn’t look

Quite alone out here however it’s going to be nighttime and i’ve got a lot of bamboo and stone in my inventory we don’t want to use that i’m thinking we could just toss an ender pearl see how close it gets us to the town oh not bad and another one

Who needs an elytra when you got ender pearls this guy this guy needs an elytra when you got ender pearls uh yep just gonna say that one down there oh my stone now for a little bit of let’s build action we’ve got to clear out this bamboo

We have so much space to work with up here and i think we can make a really cool structure i definitely want to make it feel like it’s overhanging on the cliff and if we need to come back and do some terraforming to really fix this area up

I am totally okay with doing that for now i just want to get the start of the structure in here now for this one i wanted to have multiple windmill blades on the structure itself so if we start getting a few of the shapes in here it might

Work out a little bit better for us i know we have that one to model off of but i want to go a bit of a larger scale but have the same idea where we have like a lot of things just poking out of the area so we’re gonna

Have a five wide interior on it and then let’s go with we have one two three twelve and 13 to give ourselves an odd length down here that can be our main box structure that we have on this one we’re sticking somewhere probably right about off of here we can bring ourselves out

Two blocks or something like this actually maybe just one block where we can have another five wide section here which the windmill blade would be attached to for this one and then we can have a window right in here and a window right in there that

Would be super cool for us and we can have a doorway right over in this point and then what i wanted to do because i thought it would be more fun is we can have a second structure poking out right over in this corner that can be super duper tall a really

Big tower and maybe we actually move it a little bit further over here that i want to have a second smaller windmill blade on for its own just a little bit of detail to it there as well now since we are hanging over the edge of the cliff and there’s a lot of

Endermen leaving things around here i thought we could come back in with some spruce stairs and use these as a bit of way to have some support coming back down so we can do like this guy right in here and working its way into the side of the cliff now so that we

Don’t just have a harsh line where the building is starting and stopping i was thinking this front point that we have we could somehow see if i can finagle my way down here is bringing it down a touch further then we have these little supports coming in so i guess those

Would probably stop right there since we’re going to bring this guy all the way down and using a little bit of these guys going along we can bring that stuff all the way down here too but that’ll end us with a bit of a shape right like in this guy over here and

Then we want to bring all of our oak up as well and continuing with the strip spruce logs to be able to create these really cool points for ourselves and we can attach the extra little bit of the roof out here because it’ll probably be easier to get it in now

Than later on and for this one we had done that really cool bit of detail where it comes all the way up to this next section and we have the roof being exposed on the top or at least the beam being exposed on the top to actually work into the roof design

Itself and i like that one a lot i wanted to try that again over here and i’m realizing now this tower over here is going to have to be very very tall if we want to have the windmill blade on it so maybe we’ll have to think of another idea here

Because right now how tall do we have to make this because we need at least five or six blocks going upwards for the height of the windmill blade it’s ten blocks to get up here and then we need one two three four and five more and then we gotta do

The roof on top of that so if we started the roof section out right here there we go boop and a boop boop and a boop and then we bring that up here and we do three more blocks and i guess that’s not terribly tall we’re up at 121

Barely on par with the observatory which isn’t the worst thing in the world can we make it to the water from here i don’t think so but let’s try oh yeah we’re fine the first few from down below and i think the shape of that’s gonna look really cool but we’ll get everything

Filled in here and then we can start adding in all the detail one thing i wanted to touch on here as we are recreating the same style that we’ve used before is not everything has to be the exact same a style is just a general concept to go

With at least in my opinion in the mind crafting worlds so we just need to apply the general concept of kind of including these blocks in here and keeping the same shape but the way to have fun with your building in minecraft is when you can take that same shape that same example

That same whatever you’re working with and apply it to something else and just mix things up here a little bit together so inside of this tall guy that we were talking about of how tall we’re gonna bring it up with that big line right there i decided to grab some

Smooth sandstone we’ve used this same style instead of with the strip spruce log we’ve tried it with strip dark oak log before and it worked out well and i think it’s gonna work out well here too as well this will give us a way to really break up the multiple structures

That we’re working on so it doesn’t feel like a blob from far away you know after we get the roof in and everything that’ll probably do the trick for us at on top of that i’m trying to avoid saying as well i’m thinking while we’re

On the top up here since it’s going to be a bit of a pain to get back up we should probably try and make the roof happen here too i don’t really know what i want to do quite yet but i think we can get

Enough of the blocks in our hand and i have no spruce wood really left it’s gonna be a little tight we might have to go chop a few trees in order to finish the build here today but that’s a-okay with me each corner will look something all right like this

And i just gotta do that going all the way around then actually up into here i think we had some spruce fences or some strip spruce logs again more strip spruce why am i doing this when i only have 28 left in my name the answer to that is i have no idea

There we have it the top of this guy’s now done we’ll figure out how to get a windmill blade on here soon but how can i get down can i jump on top of the bamboo no no i cannot that’s a little tight but that looks pretty good

We’ll have to detail out and decorate a little bit more i’ve got most everything in now for the build up here we’ve got to just get the fences going along that top row and get a few more spruce logs in but unfortunately i this is all the spruce wood i have to my

Name right now and it’s uh not very much so we’ve gotta actually head over to the forest gather up some more and i’ve gotta come up with a design for a windmill blade run there been drawn inside the lines over here we still need a floor as you can see bamboo

Is growing up into our house but i really like the look of this thing in general we’ll do some terraforming to maybe bring the stone out around here to just give it a little bit more grassy landscape in front of it and that right there is a sign i love to

See two iron golems just finishing up in the iron farm oh it’s actually working now that we’re actually kind of close to it being on this little spigot of land right there the iron farm has been working a charm throughout this whole thing and there we go that is uh

So much better we got actually logs that we can work with for today woohoo i’m realizing now that i forgot to bring you all back in and i forgot to hit the record button been talking to myself over here we’ll hang out with a little puppy so i guess i’ve been talking to

The puppy but we’ve got the brand new windmill blade and down there and we’ve got the little tiny one up there on the edge too and they’re looking so fine i wanted to come through and strip down all of the oak wood to help it blend in

A little bit better we’ve got fence gates in here to kind of make this a little bit less of a harsh curve right there moving the blocks over to the sides and it’s looking very cool i’m super happy with it but before we previously tried including a bunch of buttons on

These builds and i thought since i got a little bit of spruce wood on me here we could try some of these i’ve got some dark oak blanks here too but we’re gonna try first and foremost with the spruce buttons because they’ll be a little bit

Less of a heavy contrast than we would have going with the darko from looking at this as we are building it i’m actually enjoying it i think it’ll be a good little way to mix it up even further now the best way to look at it of course is taking a

Step all the way back here with our dirt scaffolding and i like that the windmill blade is very different and what we could maybe do is actually craft one of those dark oak ones and throw him smack dab here in the middle since the grindstone kind of has that

Dark oak wood texture on the side of it itself and that is super cool getting rid of our dirt scaffolding and we’ll be moving up to the top section where we can add a little bit more love to that portion of it as well because right now

I like the windmill being up there but the other faces of the structure are very very tall and bland but what we can do is use a little bit of the bamboo that we’ve been having around here to make some scaffolding and head on up to the top

Where i forgot to bring in polished andesite is there any around here that i can grab no all right there we go 16 should be more than enough we should only need one or two of these guys but what i wanted to do was come all the way up here and make some

Gears and having these gears being offset so we can use some really cool little bits like these guys right around here with the fences and then including some acacia stairs going all the way around to give it a little bit of an orange trim to it if i can learn how to place

The blocks right there there we go and then finally adding in some of these acacia trap doors going all the way around as well to finish off that little bit of that trim line i was talking about y’all might have an idea of where this is going since we’ve done stuff

Like this here before and we can top these guys off the little two gears that we’re gonna be making with some dark oak buttons there to help around it up and just make it feel a little bit more completed here and then coming all the way down to this

Section where we can have a band of somehow the acacia trap doors are being connected together so we’ve got this whole section coming all the way down here and then we’re starting up a new little bit of a band right down in here where it’s gonna be exactly on the edge but

That’s a-okay with me here it’s a steampunk style things are gonna be all over the place and it’ll help break up from that boxy shape that we have too and we can bring in the rest of these acacia stairs i know this one doesn’t make perfect sense as we’re building it but

Somehow this would be turning and then they would be turning this section down here but now moving over to this side section i grabbed a few more blocks for ourselves on this sun too and we can bring in some of the barrels and some of this

Brucey stuff that we got down here and bringing our scaffolding back again again probably about at this layer where it’s just about below that roof line we can bring some through stairs out right here and right over here and start working these ones up and i just want to

Create a little section of a house of sorts that we kind of do for those cliff houses but have it sticking out this side of the building just for fun i don’t really know why but just kind of something fun that we can do up here

Taking a few of these oak logs down as well we can add in a bit of a wall right down in there like that and then maybe we can do a barrel actually we’ll have this extending out one further and we can finish off all of the walls for it going

Right around here we’ll have the oak logs hanging out from the bottom it’ll be totally fine to have and we can do a little torch in here too i don’t have any glass on me but we can have something like a window right in there and maybe a secondary

Window right in there and then this will be a doorway to get to the inside of whatever the heck that’s going to be bringing out a few of our spruce slabs to be a bit of a trim around the edge and then we can bring the granite slabs right in here

Filling them all the way up to the top and i want to on our front edge just include spruce going all the way around we’ve done this type of stuff before and i think it’s just going to make the most sense to have it continue and forwards all

Right like that and then we can just bring it right back down the other side funny enough it lines up perfectly with extending that roof line over there not my favorite thing to have in the world but it’s something we can just deal with now this structure is something we have been

Messing with for quite a while now and i want to see what it looks like from down below my friends i’ve gotta say that is looking really awesome we’ve gotta finish up the windows and those little things and do some terraforming around here and so i went into good old-fashioned

Time-lapse mode out of nowhere because the puppy’s going crazy enjoy some music It has been quite some time since the time lapse and the area is looking absolutely awesome i did jump back on a little bit here and there and do some more work terraforming around the place so like where we had the floating dirt over there decide to add a little bit more of

An rocky outcropping we’ll eventually finish up the cliff going all the way around but for now it looks fantastic from the front got a little bit of life added in down there and i am so happy with this build however i’ve got a bunch of seeds in my inventory and

Also wanted to introduce you to my new friend right here uh we have a creeper stuck in our mine cart and he’s just going back and forth do we leave him oh gosh cow get off the railroad track buddy it’s not a good place to be

Uh if we leave him what do we name him let me know in the comments down below life has been a little bit busy with the brand new puppy but i’m so happy i was able to get everything set up in here so we got a nice little roadway going

Through i gotta add a little bit more coarse dirt up there and some jungle stuff and that brings us over to another airship docking area that we’re gonna have over here it’s basically right in line with that one which i think is super cool but up here what i want to do first

And foremost as we have the big old windmill blades and i love this new little structure right here we have with a minecart going back and forth between a grain silo and the windmill up there and everything i want to turn this area into well i

Said grain so we’re gonna put a bunch of wheat seeds down here first off though is we need to have a place to get a little bit of water from because right now we don’t have a great option for water so i thought bring ourselves right over

Here with a little bit of stair action we can create one of these little two by two step wells with the stair blocks and there you go infinite water source or right like that and what i like to do is just put some fences around it right here

And taking some stairs and doing the reverse connection of connecting all the stairs up so they share one little central point right like that and we’re good to go and for extra bit of detail just throwing a flower pot right in there i’m gonna put them on the other side

Right there perfect nice now we got it and then what we can move into from there is taking water and water we’ve got it all around us and now we can start adding in a bunch of wheat seeds and a bunch of water spots all over the place i’ve got to

Transform all of this pods unfortunately because we cannot hoe it so i’ve gotta break it all and place a block of dirt back i think i’m gonna leave it around the edges a bit like what we have over in here because i think it’ll look really nice to have

Some puzzle dotting around the edge and reminding us this is actually a bamboo area i was leaving some of those guys up along the edge there as well but something like this will have to do for now because that can take us one two three four

And then we can go one two three four leaving wherever we have some tall grass that might be a good little bit of detail so we can go and just leave that guy right in there but this water section will actually be able to fill everything

Right in like that so we can fill all that in with some wheat seeds and then i think we just need one more guy right over in here for the next section thankfully i have been needing to get a bunch of brown mushrooms here for some new work that

We’re going to be doing over the ocean monument we need more invisibility because the guardians are getting to be a little hectic along the edges as we’re finally getting to the last bits of draining action so getting all of these brown mushrooms up it’s gonna be quite awesome

Kind of bummed though that i don’t touch on the shovel here so we can’t pick this puzzle up but we’ll have to find another way to get some more of that i haven’t decided yet on how many other buildings i want to include in this area

And it’s really easy to remove a wheat field after we planted it in and fit a building somewhere inside of the thing so i figured that could be our best bet moving forwards for now is even though i’m gonna fill this entire plateau area up here with

Wheat fields we can always come back and tweak it and change it as we want to and add something else more interesting in and actually a little trick we might be able to use up here is if we take one of these buckets grab some water and actually to save

Ourselves some resources i put jungle slabs up here so we can actually put the water right down in there and that’ll be able to take us there and then one two three and four oh we might be able to fill this entire upper area just using the slabs off of the roadway

If that’s the case actually we can use that almost everywhere so we can put one right in here oh man this is going to be good we won’t have to use as many visible water sources like those guys we can hide so many underneath the slabs

In the actual pathways which is going to look so much better the more i’ve been thinking about it and running around this area is the more that i kind of want to take this little bit of the vibe we have here with all these bushes around the jungle

Plank is adding that back into this section and having this whole cliff edge right maybe from like these bamboo guys to there being very naturalized like we have down there with the sweet berries the warped roots the peonies there are peonies and then all the leaves and everything i think that’d be

Kind of a cool way to keep moving forwards another great tip if you’re trying to do the edges like this because i don’t want to just be the large flat section up here is we can actually hide the water underneath that you’ll barely be able to

See it through there then go one two three and four and you can do the usual count you might have to use fewer water sources but it looks so much cleaner in the end in my opinion also because i spent way too much time

Doing this i had to point it out i fixed up a lot of the vines throughout here and added string beneath almost all of them so that they should stop growing down quite so far because let’s be honest it was a little hectic looking i’m kind of realizing now that

Our pathway is a little spindly and tight and i actually like the look of the grass blocks being on the side of it so i think what i might do to be honest just for now is use the silk touch pickaxe that we have and harvest up this little corner

Transplant some of the grass blocks right down in there and then we could clean up the edge and give ourselves a lot more of a natural look like we came in and actually changed the area out to the farmland but there’s still a little bit of grass connected to the pathway

Just a little bit of stuff like that i think is going to help bring that more jungly vibe back into the farmland but for now i get the oh so relaxing point of i just gotta place wheat seeds over everything that we just hoed looks like unfortunately it’s too dark back here

With the overhanging cliff to be able to place any seeds down you’ll see like this whole section right there it’s a little too dark so we’re going back and playing torches for now thankfully the mast stores of seeds we’ve been collecting i think are going to be enough i’ve got a bunch more

Snacks down back in the storage room if we need them i’ve just got this little bit of the corner left and we’ve even got a few stacks in here using the fortune as you all told me many a time to gather your wheats you

Get a heck of a lot of seeds from it yeah it was a good idea i guess we accumulated so much junk up here and thankfully i did have a little bit more coarse dirt so i can go fix that pathway but check this area out now i can’t wait

For all these wheat seeds to grow up and just see what we have and i’m so excited something about a good minecraft field for me it’s one of my favorite things in this game and probably always will be i just love creating farming areas now for the farming area that we just

Built for me i never see a farming area completed without some sort of a wagon or car but as we’re up in that little area up there it’s not gonna be super easy to move around i was originally thinking about building up one of these guys because i thought it would look

Really cool just happened another truck around the area as many of you have pointed out he can’t really go anywhere he’s just gonna kinda sit here and i think it’d be rather big up there so i’m gonna find some small wagon design just using some of this base platform

And we’ll throw it up there all right hopefully we can figure out something to make it work with the amount of junk i have here in my inventory to get these berries starting to grow up so i can decorate the corners i’m gonna throw them right down there

And we get some peonies here too and then i did grabbed a few more warpers just doing a little bit of the final decoration bit around the world no rhyme or reason somebody’s shooting an arrow at me where are you coming from he probably fell down so that’s fine now

For the little cart that we can do i was thinking we could do something like this up the log of that and making him a little too wide guy i don’t really know quite how i want to do it completely yet so we’re going to be making it up on the fly here

Maybe doing something right like in there and i did want to make it seem like this was some sort of machine powered something or another to move it around so we’ve got a little bit of the smoker guy right back in here a brick wall with a flower pot on top

Being the chimney that can maybe help move us around all over the place and then we’ve got like maybe a barrel and i and crafting up a few ladders i think could make a kind of a cool way to go around so we can do like a barrel here

And then we could have also another barrel on the far side with a ladder on the end and of course maybe like a chest right back in here so we can have some extra storage space and some sort of seating bench in the front and i have some oak slabs

Or i can make smoke slabs here that’ll be good and finally a few spruce fences to make it feel like we’ve got the little front seat rails right there for ourselves i don’t quite know how it would drive yet but i like the idea of having this

Little guy out here that could be our little wagon cart thingy i don’t know if it’s the bill right i think it does the trick now to get the rest of this junk back home we’ve got a lot of space in the inventory oh i forgot i brought a

Campfire with me because i wanted to do something a little stupid out here is add a chimney except i brought granite to build a chimney out of a granite roof so that’s not gonna work we’ve got a little bit of stone in here so we can maybe use that

With a polished granite slab for our topper i think we’ll try that one for now the windmill looks awesome but it felt very dead compared to the wrestling environment we have over here which has these smoky campfires coming out of every single chimney around the entire place

So i figured we could break in right about here and add a little chimney sticking all the way up out of this one as well now i did recently find out soul fire campfires hurt a lot more than regular campfire so no wonder my toes were getting burned so

Much on everything that we’ve been dealing with previously so if we just do something right like in here that should be pretty good trying very hard to avoid it but that little extra bit of smoke and movement around this area i think is going to add

A lot anyways back to the moving of junk out of here is we have this lovely little ender chest which we can fill up and use as a little a backpack for ourselves without having shulker boxes and it’s uh still not enough space that’s uh not a good

Yes we probably don’t need to store some rotten flesh three sand and anything else more so than we want to take all these resources back with us thankfully they found a bunch of chains in there too which i thought i was out of so we’ll take all these guys back and

That’s a lot of stuff the wheat field is really starting to grow up here as well and it looks so good oh i’m in love with that i’m at the level of tired here that is a little too tired is i came back into the storage room unloaded

Everything and then came back to look at i was crafting up a few things and i put a crafting table right here there’s a normal craft table right there i put a stone cutter right here there’s one right there and i put my under chest right here

Because apparently that was too far to access things yeah that’s that’s where we’re at here folks but the next thing i wanted to do was put on some of these fancy shaders so the frames might drop here a second hey wilson how you doing buddy looking at the sunrise yeah it’s a

Good day it’s good morning out there huh bud and check this out over here we’re gonna wait for all these mountains to load in and there we go that is our base thus far 24 episodes in and i’ve got a little bit more time before i need to have this episode

Finished up here thankfully i’ve gotten a little bit ahead now recently and i want to spend a bit more time detailing out this area but man does that windmill blade right there look amazing i’m really happy with that design hopefully it doesn’t look like any weird symbols that it should not be looking

Like as mentioned i was going to be adding in a few little waterfalls and just dripping points throughout and then i decided to come back and add a tree added a tree over there not super happy with that guy to be honest and then we’ve got two more trees around the far

Side that we can check out here soon but i was looking at that little spot right there and i think i want to throw a waterfall somewhere into that block and having it dripping all the way down into our water section down there and then do another tree off of those

Little hanging dirt blocks i think i might be able to use this as a way to get down and i sure can woohoo nice okay so what we’ve been doing for this these trees so far is just using the oak fences and birch leaves like that tree that we built a few

Episodes ago because i think it looks absolutely awesome but that should do it for the tree don’t want to have everything at the same exact line so bring it all the way down here just having a little bit more variation to it and we’ll pick these back up as we go

And of course picking them man i wanted to save that so that we could put the water that i was talking about right in there let’s get back up here man we’ll just leave it like that it’ll be okay right yeah stopping by the old viewing sand we can

Take a look at the new stuff we added in being those two guys and i like that i think that works out really well and then the other ones that i added is that one right up there that one right down there and that little bit of water coming down too just

Helping to add to the atmosphere just a tiny bit and i think just doing things like that every so often is going to help this whole area feel a lot more complete once more using the birch leaves builder around because i want to check how much iron we have since we’ve been working

Over in this corner for quite a while and i’m way out of the stuff i’m gonna build this oil rig soon i swear i’m so tired of pillaring up to these points to collect our iron hey but that’s a good amount that’s more iron than we have already

Adding that back to our supply of one block of iron and one iron ingot it’s a good amount of iron i gotta say but folks that is gonna have to do it for today’s episode thank you all so very much for watching click that like button down below if you did
