Magicbus – Minecraft Mods | NoCubes | Realistic World Generation?!?!

Hey what goes on everybody my name is ethan and welcome to another minecraft mod review now guys today we are reviewing a mod that completely alters the terrain of minecraft that is called the no cubes mod i’m sure you’ve already figured out what it does but i’m

In the world section here so there’s no spoilers while i’m doing the intro the mod is for 1.7.2 which means it does require 1.7.2 forge which is you know easy you guys know how to do the forge by the way both links are in the description like you always need now

Before anyone jumps to any conclusions this is not a spin-off of the minecraft game this is actually minecraft modded so let’s go in here we’re gonna check out the nether we’re gonna do a little bit of mining but this is the no cubes mod guys you can already see

The world is completely different without cubes it is very strange the generation is still obviously a little bit buggy for example this is what a nether portal looks like pretty neat huh this is a nether portal it was very difficult to build mind you but uh yeah and then we’ve got the

Hillside here it’s nice it’s very nice and as you can see i’m able to walk up blocks without jumping that’s right this doesn’t just change the shape of the block you can still see the cube where i would be placing or breaking but um it also alters the it properly

Alters every block so you can walk up and down them which works perfectly what i want to do first is go caving look at that how awesome does that look how good does caving already look in this game they’re more realistic the skeletons in here oh man this is actually awesome

Oh it’s a ravine look at how much different this game is just like that let’s get ourselves some torches here i don’t know how to do that torches there’s so many mods that i want to put together already to start playing on can we just like oh yeah it alters

The wall a little bit when you plop them down that’s so cool though it is buggy it’s very difficult to build with but it is a start guy oh look at how look at it’s not look it’s not nice it’s not perfect with it like kind of seamless progression here but

Let’s do a little bit of terraforming here guys look at how cool that is look at that winding cave you’re right mate it just everything looks the caves look more vast when they’re not when they’re not square oh my god this downhill tunnel this is awesome look at how cool this is

Oh my god you guys need it looks cool from my view you guys need to actually play with it it’s amazing this looks really cool ah i’m honestly after reviewing a bunch of these mods i’m actually thinking of doing like a is this minecraft survival series like use mods like this one like

Enhance the survival experience with camping and all that sort of stuff i want to play oh that’s a little bit buggy because the blocks are technically there but look at the water when we let it go the water looks more natural like this yeah that’s a little bit buggy there but

How cool is that the way it’s flowing it actually looks like a stream oh my good god yeah i think is this minecraft survival series is a good idea i’ll use mods like this one it’ll completely change what the game looks like it’ll make building more difficult we’ll have like camping

And stuff like that incorporated if we can i’ll try and get a mod pack made or something how cool does that sound look at this look at this little pillow here it’s just a normal one wide pillar but look how awesome it looks now let’s put a torch down oh my god

I’m in love i’m in love all right let’s head to the surface let’s check out some other things before i’d spend two days playing minecraft just like this all right guys we’re back here on the surface now i think it’s about time we checked out the nether and then i think

We’re gonna have to check out the end and then i think finally we should try and build a house um with the no cubes mod we’ll see how that goes so let’s head into the nether in creative mode we’ll just flick straight in nice and easy oh oh how cool is

Nether portals set up oh how cool is that ah come on then it looks more menacing don’t you think like doesn’t this place look more dangerous now like sure that’s a little bit buggy there we go a little bit of frames issue that’s one thing i’ve noticed it’s a little bit laggier like

This the mods obviously creates a little bit more lag perhaps i don’t really know but how obviously that lava there is still updating as well this is way more menacing it feels like i could get lost so easily in like these winding cave systems now that’s so cool it just it feels like

It feels like i’m playing a game in alpha you know what i mean it’s really cool i love this i’m actually so pleased look oops this place looks so much more dangerous now look at that like jutting out it’s like even spiked a little bit that little overhang

This is so cool i actually oh my god i can’t get over how much i love it oh the nether fortress still spawns it’s a fortress though so this is perfect it should spawn like this that’s right because this isn’t natural this was made so it should spawn like there’s a

Vehicle in the background apologies oh my god look at how cool this is it’s thin this light overhang here it looks like it actually like looks like if i didn’t like carefully walked across here it might actually cave in oh that’s so cool oh my god i’m actually i’m so impressed

With this already like i knew it was gonna be cool when i looked at the forum post but damn damn this is cool oh where was my cave that’s the lava there all right my cave is over here the nether looks good guys come on tell me how good that nether

Looks you tell me how you feel i’m gonna head over to the end i hope it’s just as awesome oh guys i was looking for the end and i’ve actually found a spawner which is obviously yeah spawned like this it looks normal see because it’s meant to be built like

This cobblestone and things like that should come out normal i feel like that works what happens if i place it oh cobblestone places this oh i just found the best part of this mod okay so cobblestone is man-made or man-mind which means that let me just we don’t need mobs on for this

We don’t need bobs on which means that it stays square oh that’s so cool oh my god i’m so happy i’m i’m actually oh am i a happy man i’m so happy i’m about to take a screenshot from my friends just so they can see how happy i am screenshotted

Awesome i’m gonna head over to the end now apologies for this short i don’t even know what this is alrighty we found the portal i am very excited i’m also half expecting it to spawn somewhat naturally due to the towers for the dragon but uh let’s find out

I don’t know oh yeah it’s spawned like this awesome i don’t know how much this is a mod review since i don’t really know what’s going on it’s more like i wanted to showcase it the dragon is here look how nice it is there’s no jumping because like the end is always built

Like one high like every layer it’s in layers one higher than the other even the actual towers aren’t that that’s awesome the towers are natural how beautiful is that hi dragon oh my god i love it i absolutely love it how oh i know you guys love it too this

Is awesome no cubes this is the let’s go down here let’s get a nice look at it oh look at that look at how nice that is well we’re gonna have to head on over and try and build a house now i believe that ours are tunnel we’ve gone through the

Tunnel i believe that because the fact that man-made blocks place as still blocks because they would be refined and shaped correctly building a house shouldn’t be too much trouble but we’re going to give some farming a go and everything like that just to see what’s surviving in minecraft would be like with

This mod pack ah this mod not mod pack my bad guys ready guys we’re going to build a very very basic house so these do place like normal blocks so you just play as if you’re playing minecraft honestly so let’s just build a very very basic square wood and cobblestone house let’s

Get ourselves a little bit of this i’m surprised that the oak wood doesn’t yet it isn’t it doesn’t function yet because you would think that the trees you could create circular but i’m assuming that’s something that guy will probably add because like if the trees look more

Realistic then it would be even more amazing by the time i actually do a survival like a mod pack with this if i do if i do no promises made uh hopefully he’ll have that implemented because to make the game look so different honestly yep okay let’s do that

Um let’s have this side as our door this is a really really simple house no no judgment here friends we’ll even put some glass in just to see if our glass functions obviously let’s go across obviously every block you know it’ll be completely different unit um you’d have to come on and test

Everything for yourself but obviously i’m just going through doing the basics let’s get this through here i wonder how putting a flooring will go we’ll use wool for that obviously who doesn’t need a home of wall let’s get some daytime in our life that’s nice all right so let’s go with this

Cobblestone stair trimming which function completely normally no difference um really easy to use still and then obviously we’ll have oak stairs over the top and we’ll be able to move on to the floor alrighty guys welcome to my humble abode all we need to do is get rid of some

Grass we need to hire a gardener obviously but uh we’re gonna put down some floor and we’re also going to put down a door where’s the doors out in this mod not in this mod in this game in general all right so we got one wall door okay so this shouldn’t be too

Difficult to simply remove all the dirt it does feel a little bit like i want to double check before i punch anything i know as long as it’s making the grass sound i’m breaking the right thing and that’s the grass done so now we should just be able to place down yeah

And this is going to even out the floor here as well brilliant brilliant brilliant brilliant awesome look at that and we have ourselves a perfectly normal house that probably kind of sticks out doesn’t actually it doesn’t stick out too bad in this world does it it’s pretty average looking house no judgment

Here friends this is a friendly environment where we don’t judge each other’s builds in the harshest light possible so let’s build ourselves a farm as well we might as well get that down let’s get down and dirty make ourselves a farm get some seeds all that sort of

Stuff seed i don’t know where they are let’s get some seeds that’ll be really really cool awesome so where should we put said farm i think we should put it over here next to the house actually so let’s get rid of that and we’ll just

Have a uh one two three four five six seven eight i’m just gonna go oh dear it’s already being wrecked right so let’s just go two on each side shall we like this and oh no no no no okay i need a grass block now the place there

That that this is pretty difficult you’ve got to sort of look at where you’re placing it all right good water good water um oh no no no okay so we need to make sure we’re placing it on top of that okay that should give us yeah okay so that’s infinite water there

You guys can probably see all right so infinite water cool cool cool um this feels a little bit odd now it’s becoming a little bit bizarre but i’m wondering what oops wondering what’s going to happen when we actually plant the seeds to jump on that one okay

Um this is a bit odd it’s not because that’s all technically can still be till uh yeah that looks a bit odd let’s just grow our crops on one side shall we we’ll just use one row on each side then we’ll do this like so we’ll get rid of those and we’re

Just gonna have to sit back and wait for the wheat to grow and then we can see what it looks like all growed up yeah it’s a pretty pretty cool looking farm for don’t say so myself ready guys so our first ever wheat farm is sort of coming along here now we’re

Getting getting our stuff done it’s pretty neat huh how the wheat just it still looks the same but it sort of also fits it’s a bit weird but you just like go for a little stroll in the water here no need to jump oh no no no need to jump which means there’s

No need to ever damage our wheat is there um can we put a block there yep we can so i feel like i don’t know you just have to level out the ground more than you would think or something i don’t really know to be honest i’m not yet in control

Of exactly how the cubes work but that is really really cool i think if we go up here and uh do the normal thing where you know you like create a little area so that the water can’t escape and then we make a waterfall here like yeah look at that big high rise

There okay let’s put a waterfall in see what happens here with our water flowing down looks pretty neat looks pretty nice pretty nice oh look at it flowing out over those blocks that’s pretty cool it it’s really interesting uh the way that you could the game is just completely different it’s a

Different way to interact with the world now just because of a small little change like now it’s more like vector-based rather than cubes i suppose it is really cool though the nether the end everything looks amazing guys you’ve definitely got to check this out and run

Around for yourself even if you only run around for like 10 minutes just to experience what the world is like when it’s a little bit strange i would definitely recommend you give this a go guys so like always i want to thank you all for watching i
