Hello everyone today i’m going to show you how to build this archer statue which has been requested quite a lot in the past and to be honest i did try designing this several times and i had this really old design that looked kind of weird and i decided to try redoing it To try and make something a little cleaner and i guess this is going to be the best archer statue that i can give you at this scale i did try to keep it at a decent size where it wasn’t too big but also kept a lot of interesting details Here are all the materials i do have separate materials for the base as well as the actual statue so if you didn’t want to use my base you can ignore that materials list or vice versa okay let’s start building if you don’t want to use the base that i Designed you can design your own or just skip to the actual statue part and forget this part even exists but if you do want to add this go ahead and mark off the dimensions that i have shown here it’s not too big not too small i think It’s a good size and i have all the different blocks i’m going to be using here so let’s start i’m going to take the polished blackstone bricks oh by the way i did use polish black stone as a placeholder we’re not going to actually be using that for anything it’s just There so i can see all the individual blocks and i’m going to start with the blackstone bricks and i’m going to make this pattern across the edges not going into those corners but just filling in the side wall and i’m going to repeat this on all of the other sides as well And this pattern you could always change it up do something different make your own design that it doesn’t even involve blackstone bricks it’s totally up to you or even just skip to the part of the video that you actually care about and the next layer is going to be deep Slight bricks and i’m going to zigzag this up so you can see i’m trying to create this gradient pattern using all the different brick types i wish we had more gray bricks that went in between these colors but it is what it is i like to use vanilla textures so I thought i’d try it all right i’m almost done here it’s so hard to talk through building all of that that’s basically all you got to do you just got to do that let’s do the corners next because those involve deep slate as well so i’m going to Go two blocks up above wherever the base of the black stone is and these ones are going to get filled in two just because they’re extra but it’s two blocks up there then on the inside corner go two more blocks up and then on these three outside corners we’re going to fill that In with the walls and then on top of that it’s going to be i think it’s going to be another row of this possibly you know what we’ll save that for later we’ll just start with this so it’s two rows of this two blocks there in the corner and then Walls filling in the rest spaces i will quickly speed build the rest of these all right once you have this what i’m going to do is fill in all of these holes with a full stone brick so just doing this i need to remember how i did this before of course there is No right or wrong way to do it however i do it in the video is how it’s going to be but on top of that in the next row i need to put a full block in the corners but on these sides i’m going to do Stairs that face the inside and this is really just for the extra detailing that gives the floor on the top i don’t know i like to use the stairs and it does look nice if i can actually place them correctly there we go so yeah we got a full block on the Corners like this and this can be stone i think it needs to be stone that’s why i couldn’t remember if that need to be stoned or not but this is gonna be deep slate on the rest of this corners and then on top of all of those it’s going to be A stone slab so yeah those corners do need to be stoned because you can see them from here that’s why i knew there was something different about it so over here we’re gonna do a row of deep slight and then the slabs on top if you’re following along yeah just Repeat this everywhere i just i just totally messed that up just you know do as i say not as i do now i’m going to take the slabs and add in another extra bit of detail by putting it along the top edge like this Now the last thing i have to do is fill the rest of the space in with the tough i just like the liquid tough and i wanted to have find an excuse to use it to be honest because i don’t really use it or i haven’t really used it yet So that’s the only reason i’m using the tough here i think it does have a nice contrast though with the stone bricks and if you needed to spawn proof the inside or turn it into a place you could enter totally up to you mine is going to be dark and spooky So now you should have this platform and this space available to you to build a statue and we’re going to do that next now we’re ready to add the statue to our platform and i’m going to show you how to do it from the middle out just Because it was easier for me to make the graphics this way however if you’re doing it in survival you might have to use some scaffolding but it shouldn’t be too difficult it’s not that big and i’m going to start by placing the first slab for the first foot On the bottom this will mark the position of the rest of the statue so find the center row down here in the platform and then one block away from the right edge that’s where that slab goes and then we can just start building off of that So i’m going to continue the foot and the leg up this way doing my best to not make any mistakes and count properly as i’m talking if i do happen to get quiet in the middle of building this it’s because i’m trying to focus and not make mistakes Because i seem to keep doing that even though this is my own tutorial i still make plenty of mistakes all right i think we have that successfully done without mistakes this time and let’s go ahead and add the waist area this is just some stairs giving it some extra shapes Then continue up to the chest area it does help me to break down my graphic in two little sections so i can like see groups of blocks and then just build that one just focus on one little section at a time so for the head i know it’s four blocks up here And then we’ve got a little cross shape with the stairs on the corners all right that’s the main body done we do have a couple of blocks that float out to the side that’s where the hand is and i’m going to place some placeholder blocks from the neck to get There so just do eight blocks out from the neck and the stair will go right there on the end of that and the slab below that then we can destroy those placeholders and that’s the middle layer done we’ve got two more layers the front and then We’ll have one more to add to the back for the next layer i’m going to start the foot because there are a couple of blocks down here that are kind of easy to miss we just have a full block and a slab and now i’m going to move up to the Head and place these stairs first because they are facing you but one is upside down this is how they look from the side it’s kind of hard for me to show you how to build those in my graphic so yeah that’s what that is and then we’re going to continue down to the Arm i know i just kind of breezed through that head but it’s pretty self-explanatory you got this arm going across here and one two three four making sure i’m not throwing myself off i think i’m still on track i think i’m doing pretty good this time got a couple of walls there Four walls here three walls here again these are just adding a little bit of extra shape a little extra dimension because the statue is so skinny it’s really hard to get that with this scale and okay we got one more slab to go right there that’s representing the Thumb of the hand and i think that is it for this layer so let’s move on to the next one this one’s very simple as well we just have one slab down here i’m going to get that first so i don’t forget it and then we just have to finish out the arm And the first block will go right there and we’re just going to add slabs another full block another slab a couple more slabs and there we go now the front is done we just have the one more layer in the back to add in the back let’s once again start at The head it’s going to have the same thing with stairs facing you full block in the middle the walls on the sides to make it nice and rounded and let’s start with the stair block right here gonna start building out this arm so we got four blocks going over this way Three slabs underneath one slab there then three more slabs on that end that’s lining up nicely a couple more slides there and then the rest of this is pretty easy just gotta build it down and that’s pretty much it for the main person part of the statue but now we’ve Got to add his weapon so let’s start with the polished deep slate we’re going to take this this will be what i’m using for his bow and we’re going to start right inside the hand and go ahead and place three blocks in there and we need to start the arch shape so It’s going to be three blocks then two then one on that corner then a top slab and then a bottom slab on that corner so it’s going to create that shape and we’re just going to take that and reverse it and put it underneath so we’ve got two blocks there one block On the corner this one’s a bottom slab and then a top slab and there is the bow in place now for the string i’m going to be using smooth cord stairs we need to connect from that hand there to this part of the bow and it’s kind of got several layers To travel across this is going to be interesting i’m going to start underneath the hand and do an upside down stair facing that way and then i’m going to go down two more and do two more along this same layer but the next one’s gonna go in a Block and go right in there and the last one should connect nicely with this i just need a placeholder to get that in place all of those are upside down and the rest of them are going to be upright stairs and once again let’s go ahead and start From the front of the hand i’m going to do a couple placeholders here to help me get these in place i’ve got one more to place next to this wall then this next one is gonna go right there in the corner and the last one should connect directly with that deep slight slab Like so so if you’re following along this is how it should look from the top and this is how it looks from the side that’s a pretty good bow draw but now let’s give him an arrow i’m gonna use the smooth stone slab because i like how it contrasts with everything else but You could always use anything you wanted i’m going to start underneath these stairs and add five blocks going this way then we’re just going to go in one more layer and do five more blocks so that will give a little bit of a bend to the arrow because everything Else is bending so it all kind of flows together and that is the statue complete i think it looks pretty decent i hope you all enjoyed that tutorial it actually turned out a lot better than i thought it would considering that i have been putting off this tutorial for so Long but i am glad that i kept reworking it till i got something i was really happy with and i hope you enjoyed it as well thank you all again for watching and i look forward to seeing you in another video bye You Video Information
