Hello everyone and welcome back to another Minecraft update video I have two things to cover in this one I have some brief 1.19 news and I’m also going to bring you up to speed on the experimental snapshots 2 all the way up to six which I’m currently in right now Now the reason that I haven’t covered these other experimental snapshots is because I found the change logs to be full of like subtle tweaks and changes to generation systems that I thought would be rather tricky to show off in a video but now that we’ve had a whole Bunch of them there’s actually quite a lot to talk about so first things first yes I am absolutely going to be sharing the seed of this fantastic mountain biome right here the seed and the coordinates will be in the description box below so I’m going to press F3 and See our coordinates we are at y 260 which is the highest a mounting can now generate higher than before and as you can see this range right here almost reaches that height and the classic Minecraft clouds which I usually have turned off have been raised from 128 up to 192. this is the level they now appear at now there is a reason these mountains here look so fantastic and that is because underneath powdered snow used to generate dirt that’s been changed to snow and so these mountains look a lot less dirty even though there will be Patches of them on occasion there is also a new mountain biome called Stony Peaks which we are looking at right now it’s a variation of the lofty and the snow cap Peaks and instead of using snow and ice it uses gravel and stone instead and the place that it will appear is in Hot climates because snow right here wedged in the middle of this Savannah would look really strange but the stone makes a lot more sense right now you’re probably used to seeing Blobs of granite and durai in stone but what this biome does is it generates these streaks and That includes calcite as well so you don’t have to rip apart every amafest geode that you see you can also collect these materials from these mountains and according to the change log these streaks will also include gravel as well as andesite and granite and I just mentioned how there were Blobs of Durrite and also Granite that can generate in stone as well as dirt while these are going to be less frequent now in this version of the game and lastly before we move on from the mountains I couldn’t find an example of this but it is possible for the Pillager Outpost to Now spawn in the mountain biome and another structure that can now generate in a different type of biome is Villages and the biome is the meadow biome which we’re checking out right now so it’ll be possible to find villages in these areas and as you can see here there are both Sheep and rabbits these are two mobs that are now able to spawn in The Meadows biome and that over there is a Lone Tree in this biome when they spawn a Lone Tree it’s supposed to be with a bee’s nest now the exact wording is Often with a bee’s nest so I’m going to assume it’s an increased chance of getting one but I don’t know what the number is and previously in this biome you could find the blue Orchard but no more those are going to be unique to swamps now before the new mountains were Added into the game we did have a biome known as the mountain biome and it’s been renamed to Extreme Hills and the Extreme Hills themselves they generally feel quite different to how we’re used to seeing them I’ve been teleporting to various places in this seed and they all Just have a different feel about them however calling them Extreme Hills still seems about right and now let’s head underground where we have a wonderful combination of an aquifer and a drip Stone cave and the changes to the drip Stone caves it regards finding copper you should now be able to find larger Blobs of copper inside of drip Stone caves and you can see over here look another large blob of copper ore and supposedly iron ore is now more common to find up on mountains and as soon as I go into this cave area right here I’m in Spot the iron it is all over the place so now in mountains you should be able to find more iron ore and do you remember those giant copper and iron ore veins that we’ve covered in these snapshot videos well people have been struggling to find those in survival so Now they are going to be larger and more frequently occurring in the Minecraft world so now for changes related to climate these giant tree tiger and Spruce tiger biomes were considered cold biomes in the past which is no longer the case so biomes like this can spawn Next to hotter ones like a desert a Mesa or a savannah iron placement has also been tweaked to reduce the amount of microbiomes like this one where you just have you know a blob of something that doesn’t fit in inside of another biome we should see far less of this now and Ironically it looks like where I’ve teleported to has the feature that is supposed to be removed these small lakes that can appear in the desert savannas and the Mesa Biomes well I come over to this one and there’s a little border Lakes Here There and Everywhere however I do believe these are actually Waterlogged caves which are intersecting with the surface and so I guess where they removed one feature another feature is now kind of replaced it strangely enough and of all the deserts that I teleport to in search of one where something like this doesn’t occur I’ve noticed that most of the deserts now They seem really small in this snapshot so moving on to the oceans and water in general there’s been a really big change here in connecting aquifers that appear underground flooded caves to the waters and connecting them to the oceans this also includes the return of an old feature which is the waterlogged Ravine And I’m not sure if this is actually a ravine or a Carver cave intersecting with the floor but you can expect to see features like this and so I picked this location because it’s a really great example but I also thought I’d just show off this little village over here it’s Quite charming and it’s next to a couple of oddly placed structures this is one of those ocean ruins where the drowns appeared and that my friends that is actually a shipwreck lodged on top of this Iceberg so while we are here to check out is down at the bottom of this Ocean area you can see that the cave below connects to it and this one is now actually a flooded cave and it will connect with other aquifers and whatnot so when you go on aquatic adventures in the ocean you’re more likely to find connecting caves and they can go quite Deep down now this particular Network seems to end around this height here but they can actually be flooded all the way down to Y zero I believe and just a second ago you might have noticed that there were some magma blocks here and actually there’s a few more nearby and There’s one or two over here as well these will now appear more frequently so when you’re exploring these sorts of caves occasionally you’ll see some Bubbles and that means that you can head over here to the magma block and use it to replenish your air of course when You’re playing in survival mode and that of course makes exploring these remarkable new cave systems a lot easier because otherwise you might end up suffocating and heading back to the mountain where we started this video we have what’s known as a water spring which is where a water block just randomly replaces a Stone block on the side of the mountain to create a waterfall well these may be more frequent as they’re now able to replace other types of material like dirt and snow and this same feature has also been added to the Lush cave biome and they’re known as Lush Springs so You’ll find these little pockets of water coming out of the walls in the Lush caves and across each of these snapshots there were lots of tweaks and changes to some biomes just constantly tweaking parameters one snapshot to the next we’re looking at the beach biome right here I still think this looks kind Of odd wherever I find it is an example of one that I found earlier it just doesn’t really look like a beach to me it doesn’t feel like sand should be there maybe more so in this area but it’s kind of hilly also receiving plenty of tweaks and changes are the swamps I Think in general the main thing you can take away is they’re less likely to be directly connected to an ocean the classic Badlands biome with its terracotta spiers has also received tons of tweaks and changes to my eyes having not spent many time around this biome it Sort of looks the same but it pops up in a lot of the change logs and last of all for our general more ambiguous changes Rivers have received some tweaks as well in general they’re supposed to be a fair bit deeper this one right here only feeling a little deeper I’ve seen some Better examples of how deep they can go it’s also quite easy to confuse it with some terrain generation like this because a lot of the caves and aquifers below they now intersect with the world generation at the ground level and if you want more of a bird’s eye view of How the Minecraft worlds are changing their generation this tweet from Henrik is fantastic I will link to this in the description box below but as you can see here you get an idea of how things are changing across the world from one snapshot to the next now let’s move on To mob spawning where there have been both changes to the Mob cage and how creatures will spawn from it and also mob spawning in general so zombies skeletons spiders and cave spiders will now be able to spawn in Block light 11 when coming out of one of these mob Cages that means that the ground level here they would be able to spawn in all of these spots based on where I put the Torches there in the corner so I think this might actually make it a little bit tougher than it used to be and along With this new change there is a new tag for the custom spawn rules that can be applied to this block that tag is known as block light limit so if you’re making a custom map you can actually have control over these light level values for spawning in creatures from the mob Cage now when it comes to changes in the general mob spawning algorithm I’m less clued up there’s been a bit of back and forth from snapshot to snapshot as I currently understand it I believe it means that if you go out there in your world and build a mob farm it’ll be more Effective than it used to be however if you were to go and build a giant perimeter and clear out tons of space those sort of methods they’re going to be less effective at increasing the rates in your farm so now for some general gameplay changes you’ll now be Able to place flower blocks on top of snow this includes the two tall flowers and that’s not to be mistaken with the powdered snow you can’t place flowers on top of this block now here is a fantastic change for the horses donkeys and mules of the Minecraft world they Don’t even have to be tamed and if you’re holding an enchanted golden apple a golden apple or a golden carrot they will now follow you and obviously a main use for this is to help you get them across Rivers the Llama mob also receives this treatment holding a hay Bale will now cause it to follow you and the final thing to comment on when it comes to these snapshots is the never Dimension which is different now the terrain generation changes have affected this Dimension and moyang have commented that they’re aware of this without stating what their plans are I think It’s probably a good idea to just keep the never generation as it once was otherwise there’ll just be a whole bunch more work to do look at this right here this is totally crazy now when it comes to 1.19 news what we know is that we Have a date for when we’ll know more Minecraft live is back and it’s taking place on October the 16th so I will link to this news article in the description box down below it’s taking place at noon in EDT time zone on the 16th of October And so on that day the update theme for 1.19 will be revealed as well as there being another classic mob vote well we’ll get to decide which mod will make its way into the game next and they’re going to be watching that and then covering it on my channel so you can Expect to see a video on that event a great reason to subscribe if you haven’t done so already that is it from me this video thanks for watching and I’ll see you later bye-bye Video Information
