Minecraft 1.18 Hardcore Survival – Ep 11 – Cavern Water Park Planning

It’s a little dangerous right now we’re not open we haven’t put in all the safety features yet oh oh yeah that doesn’t look good medic hey what’s going on folks paulie jr here and welcome back to minecraft 1.18 hardcore survival mode below zero way underground living the dream life down

Here and we are about to begin class hot yoga spa is uh is gonna start here in one second guys keep it down there’s a chicken i think i think i heard a chicken oh yeah i do hear a chicken holy smokes got a chicken jockey so i’ve been waiting here forever

Um just afk oh there he is hey where’s your rider i think he killed his rider or he fell off oh bob oh there you are did you fall off your chicken uh maybe you should try a saddle next time okay well we’re not we can’t do hot yoga

Yet everybody just be quiet oh my gosh it’s so loud are we gonna get this chicken out of here nice and safe so i haven’t been afk for a while um waiting for a chicken jockey and now we have one come on out of there quick before pumpkin so i want bub sneaking

Out of there all right great chicken no no no no no no no i’m your new owner now get over here get over here come on now you stay right here i’m gonna go uh do class okay don’t run off into the mine shaft all right guys here we go hot yoga

Enjoy the class okay i gotta go oh boy so where’d that chicken go check it get over here holy cow this is great now we have two chickens and that means we can breed them and we get more chickens is and then we can get eggs and feathers and chicken meat yeah well

Sorry but that is your purpose in life my friend so sorry but you’ll enjoy yourself trust me we got a friend over here waiting for you in a boat we’re gonna put this guy in the boat i’m gonna call it the love boat and see uh oh actually can they can they

Make whoopee in a boat i don’t know we’re gonna find out i don’t want them out of the boat because then they’ll despawn so these chicken jockey chickens they actually despawn unlike regular chickens and they don’t lay eggs they’re defective so we got to make new chickens

And the only way to do that is to get them together in the love boat get in the boat dude get out of here all right get in the boat get in the boat with captain steubing there you go now can we oh we can make whoopee in a boat who knew

It is the love boat yay we got a little baby chicken how you doing buddy welcome welcome to the cave the lush cave you’re gonna love it here all right let’s block him in uh for now and i’m gonna go make a gate you stay in there

We got a love boat captain stubing and uh who else was in that show i don’t remember so long ago um i remember i remember gopher yeah so we got captain stubbing and gopher fantastic let’s make a gate and we can block them in so they can’t

Get out and then we can go in here and uh make more chickens when we need to don’t kill the little baby get back it up get dang full all right no it you can’t get in the love boat it’s a two-seater besides you’re too young for that kind of thing

So we’re gonna keep those two in that love boat forever and ever and we’re just gonna keep making new babies not too soon too soon all right fine rest stop and we’re gonna come back here and make more babies like i said they will despawn

So the new chicken here will be a normal chicken i hope are you normal you look relatively normal though your head’s too big for your body that’s a problem you want to come out come on out yeah his head is too big for his body

Look at it spin look at his spin on there oh we want to go back alright go go go go go go see your parents you stay right there um okay so that’s great that took me a long time waiting there i was just afk just waiting for a chicken jockey

And we got one so that is fantastic now a couple things i want to do here um i wasn’t really planning to record right now and i’m not quite ready first i want to make a grindstone we don’t have a grindstone yet so let’s go ahead and make

A grindstone cowboy which is that little little r2d2 feller he’s so cute right there that little guy look at him his little legs his little grindstone body and we’re going to put him in the uh in the workshop right over i guess we’ll put it right

Here next to the saw look at him he’s so cute little grindstone cowboy all right and now with the grindstone cowboy we can d disenchant whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa billy was here what the heck billy really dude so now billy is leaving graffiti uh and

Broccoli all over my my lush cave here great what a guy so let’s um yeah let’s disenchant this enchanted book because we need the book we don’t have leather we can’t make books so we have to disenchant this one on the grindstone i don’t really need the efficiency three

It’s not that great to be honest and then i think we will let’s do a bunch of repair jobs since we can we can repair all this these old tools and weapons and even the shields and armor too but we don’t really have a lot of used armor i’m still wearing my armor

And i’m not gonna repair it on the grindstone right now um all right let’s go fix this stuff up on our little r2d2 grindstone cowboy look at that relatively new slightly used and where is another shovel there we go yeah it’s not super efficient but it’s not terrible either

All right i mean it’s not bad right all right i’m gonna put this stuff back and then we’re gonna go do a project today i have a plan to make like a little water park i think it’s gonna be fun let me just get organized and grab all

Of the ingredients i think we’re going to need for this i’m not sure exactly what we’re going to do down there but i’m thinking it’s going to be some kind of deep slate because we have a lot of cobble deep slates so we’re going to turn those into like bricks or something

And we’ll see how that looks we’ll bring a few stacks of those uh we do have a lot of diorite too don’t we oh i forgot to disenchant our enchanted book that was the whole point so we can make a uh an enchantment table here we go and we

Can make bookshelves well we can’t with one book unfortunately but we will be able to make them uh down the road when we get some more leather we have to um gotta do some fishing to get some leather you know what we can’t make the enchanter enchantment table until we get

Some obsidian we do not have any obsidian yet so we could go do that right now too yeah so we have a few things to do today like i said i wasn’t planning on recording right now um i wasn’t quite ready but we’ll uh we’ll fill in we’ll fill in

The time here all right kid you got to get out of the way you’re standing right between steubing and uh and gopher and that’s not it’s not gonna work you don’t want to get caught in the middle of this oh someone’s ready and someone isn’t okay watch out kid oh there you go

You got a little brother or sister i don’t know i can’t tell but that’s fantastic so now we have four chickens yay nope you stay in there kid i guess that kid doesn’t like his parents all right so um now that we have a nice source of chickens we’re gonna get

Feathers we can make a bunch of arrows and then we can go down to the nether finally because we’re gonna want arrows for the nether nether’s too tough without that and uh and some chicken meat too so we’ll have some protein all right let’s go grab some

Obsidian so we can make our enchantment table not sure exactly where we’re gonna put that yet i think something maybe in here for now of course we’re not gonna have any bookshelves to power it up very much but even a basic level one um enchantment still isn’t terrible it’s better than nothing right

Okay i think we are ready to go work on our water park project however we should bring a fishing pole don’t you think i mean there’s water there it’s a water park after all we might want to do some fishing to try to get some leather and maybe even some enchanted books and

That kind of thing right uh let’s try to squeeze out one more chicken before we go i think it’s time i think stubbing and gopher are probably ready again okay kids out of the way i don’t want to accidentally feed one of the kids there

We go perfect all right now we got three real chickens and then two chicken chunky chickens hey get back in there um so yeah we’re we’re looking good looking good so far the more the better okay let’s go let’s go over to the place oh look who it is magic mike

And the trout slappers i know it’s not a trout i get it but they’re all carrying fish that is adorable maybe we should name magic mike so that wow zombies falling out of the sky what’s this world coming to all right bro um yeah let’s get over to the location

Where we’re gonna build this thing it’s gonna be a glorious uh it’s right over here where we hunted the witches that spot right there is really really nice a lot of water a lot of lava a lot of fun and excitement and danger i mean you can’t really have

A water park without a little bit of danger right oh boy hold on we gotta run the gauntlet here oh okay go yeah i don’t want to light this place up because i like it for hunting grounds but it is a bit dangerous running through here every time

Yeah this is the place right here that’s where we got the bottles and this is where we’re gonna make our water park it’s gonna be amazing let’s just get rid of that we don’t need that um oh we wanted to get obsidian too right oh dang it uh the one thing i

Don’t want to do is ruin our nice lava here because i love this i love this location all the lava and the water over here and we’re gonna put a water park right next to the lava it’s gonna make it fun and challenging and a little dangerous everything’s more fun when there’s some

Danger involved right uh we’ll get the obsidian later we don’t really need it right now we’re not gonna make the enchantment table until later so we’ll get that before we go um all right so we got these two levels of water which is going to make this really

Fun we got a waterfall here and we’ve got uh we can swim around underneath here too i think and i think we can swim down there another waterfall over there we got this balcony up here we can jump into the water from and i think there’s one up

Here as well i see some light up there i think we can get up there uh we’re gonna try in fact why don’t we go over that way and see what’s over there try to get up we’re gonna have to light this whole place up somewhat anyway there’s nobody around today the water

Park right now is closed due to construction yeah here we go another nice little waterfall here maybe we can fill this in a little bit i don’t know i don’t know we’re gonna start over there though at that waterfall but i think this goes up

Let’s go get the high ground and have a peek and we’ll light all this up yeah look at that goes right up we’ll go down there later and investigate but most importantly we just want to see what it looks like here yeah check it out somebody’s here though

Hello oh we’re closed come back when we’re open i hear footsteps i think it’s a creeper oh here’s a skeleton too oh this right here look at it look at that go even higher but yeah see what i mean we can jump in from here like

That’d be fun and then you can dive and swim and swim underneath here then you can play in the bubbles oh yeah fun then you can climb out next to the lava exciting um but i do want to build i want to build a bridge over here we’re going to have to have

Multiple ways up and down and then we’re going to want to get back up there and jump in so yeah let’s do that let’s go make a stair over here going up that way um i do have stone cutter and a crafting table so we’ll put that down over here

Open this up a little bit a little work area and we’ll get started right now okay first things first let’s figure out what kind of slabs and stairs we’re going to want to use here i’m thinking a nice deep slate tile we can just go with cobble deep slate

Slab and cobble deep slate stairs that’ll kind of blend in a little bit that’ll look relatively decent right let’s try it we’ll grab a few of these and a few of these and see how this looks we can always change it back later all right yeah there we go that’ll match

Mostly mostly um let’s go out this way i don’t want to back up into the into the lava that would be relatively awful um yeah we’re gonna we’re gonna go out like so or maybe put the stairs here because we’re probably gonna want to go up a little bit right

Yeah i think this would be better if we go up because we want to be able to put a boat in the water in fact i want to get a boat out right now and we’ll see how much headspace we have here because we want to be able to float under the bridge

So i think we might want to go up one more here what do you think yeah like that and then the slab here step on my boat it’s like a building barge they make these you know we had a big bridge repair project here in my hometown and they had these barges

Underneath so the uh the construction people could work underneath it by standing on the barge and then building the bridge it was kind of cool but why am i stuck i can’t even get get out of this thing all right let’s just move it out of the way

Can we build right from the boat like this that’s actually kind of cool yes we can look at that neato although that might be too high let’s see let’s check the headroom plenty of headroom all right well that’s what we want plenty of headroom so we’re not banging our head on the

Dang thing all right i’m obviously gonna need a lot more slabs for this so i just wanted to kind of get an idea of what it looked like and we’re going to go up here with the stairs as well let’s make some more of everything oh dang you’re going

To try to burn my crafting bench aren’t you okie dokie yeah i want it to have a natural look we do that here right we do a lot of natural looky things so that’s the point of using the uh the deep slate we’ll have this come down and match up here just about

Well that’s fine okay so then we have this go all the way over yeah we’re gonna go all the way over to the uh to the waterfall here and we can hang out at the waterfall we can jump in we can fish right here above the waterfall

It’s gonna be pretty cool it might be a little bit oh hey buddy we’re not open yet um come back in about maybe an hour okay all right very good see you later don’t make me call the cops on you all right that might be too high i might want to

Bring it down one honestly let’s have a look i guess that’s fine oh oh that’s fun see i told you we got the magma blocks down there watching this place is going to be the best yeah yeah right yeah look at that you can come down here

And uh you won’t even get burned because you’re on the boat and you can breathe down here this is going to be the main attraction of the water park right here the magma blocks that suck you down in your boat oh boy uh buddy i told you we’re not

Open yet it’s a little dangerous it’s a little dangerous right now not open we haven’t put in all the safety features yet oh man he got stuck under this block right here yeah well okay nobody saw that right good because we don’t have insurance yet

We need we have to put a ladder here so that doesn’t happen and get rid of that block well i’ll worry about that later you know what we gave him a warning right i warned him i warned him um we should probably put some stairs right here as well

Uh it’s cutting it kind of close to that lava but that’s the fun part and we can bust this bust this out of the way and then another stair and up you go guys i’m loving our water park so far i know there’s not much here all right let’s just finish this bridge

At least with the slabs that we have and then up nope nope didn’t want that don’t want that and then um and then we’ll go build up that ladder down there put some safety features in maybe some metal bars right here so you can’t go down the uh waterfall in your boat

Because that’s dangerous of all the things that are dangerous around here i think that’s probably the least okay i got more slabs let’s make some ladders too so we can uh we can pass safety inspection and it’s just going to make it easier to get up and down obviously

When we’re uh down in the water you want to get back up and do it again oh and now we go okay here here we go perfect example of why we need a ladder here for getting back up quick and easy all right up we go beautiful see and

Then over here we’re just gonna have um i’m gonna have a stair maybe like that yeah that works and then a stair down over here um we might want to bring this out a little bit and we’ll just do that all right how’s that how’s that looking

So far i think it’s pretty cool um let’s expand this out one and this here a lot of space here at the bridge so we can run up here and then jump down into the water like wee yeah oh it’s perfect oh oh gosh uh pretty sure this is where that creeper drowned

Yeah we’re gonna have to remove that block i think all right let’s go back up and finish this bridge i know it’s um taking longer than it really should to be honest there we go uh we can make it a little wider actually how about we make it three three blocks wide

All right let’s jump down here and grab that boat my boat the trick is to not get burned by the magma block when you get out and get your boat now see here this is the safety this is a safety issue right here oh no that’s not that’s not safety issue

That is actually really fun you just fly right off we just keep things straight and these boats go so fast okay well we’re gonna have to have a supply of boats down here and a supply of boats up top i think right let’s go make another boat

Maybe we can have some kind of a boat delivery system right using some kind of uh redstone contraption and uh and a dispenser where you can shoot the boats back up to people who are waiting in line over here let’s try this again whoa well that’s so fun tries to grab

You tries to grab you going through try to grab me you missed that’s great or you could just pop out and then grab your your own uh boat and then climb back up again could do that but it might be fun to set up some kind of a redstone contraption thingy oh

Look at that up there what is that up there okay we gotta get up there somehow and then jump in the water right on the edge of the lava that’ll be fun and dangerous and it’s going to make all the moms gasp and fear so i think we need to do that

If it’s dangerous it’s going to be fun right the more dangerous it is the more fun it is in most cases don’t tell your mom i said that all right up we go how do we get up here oh wow look at this guys oh all right i’ll set up a proper stair

Later for right now just want to go check it out gosh i’m starving hold on let’s eat up fill the belly oh yeah look at this look at this chamber super high oh yeah perfect this is perfect for a great challenge and it keeps going huh it’s over here oh wow oh

My gosh all right this no you don’t want to jump here this is not not part of the water park we’re going to have to um put some yellow tape here to keep people out but this is where you want to be right here to jump into the water um

We can keep going up even higher the higher the better this is a little bit dangerous i’m gonna have to remove some of these hazards but not all of them because like i said we do like a little bit of danger oh yes indeed this is perfect we’ll call

This the top shelf the top shelf jump ready on three two one geronimo oh that’s fantastic i love it perfectly safe too we’re not near any lava no magma blocks and uh just make sure there’s nobody beneath you when you do that jump because that that could be dangerous

Uh right now we’re alone we’re not even open so nothing to worry about let’s just go near water oh yeah a little bit of water a little bit of lava this is gonna be a good one too ready i love this water park i mean it’s a little rough around the

Edges right now but i’m gonna spruce it up um we’ll put some decorations around we’ll put some safety rails i think maybe some safety rail here maybe some safety rail here i don’t know i mean again i do like the um i like living on the edge so to speak but i

Don’t want to be responsible for anyone getting injured here at the water park i wish we had some volunteers around here we could test it out with oh hi welcome and we’re not officially open yet but you can come over here and test out our water park if you’d like all

Right we’re gonna put you in a boat or right over here come on buddy it’s going to be so fun wow hey hey hey hey hey hey no weapons you leave the weapons at the door we have to put a metal detector in all right fantastic you stay right there

Hey you it’s a bow-free zone what’s wrong with you can’t you read the signs oh wait we don’t have a sign yet let’s get you out of there using axe it’s a little more a little more precise oh there goes your boat i got it um he’s starting to shake he’s starting to

Shake this is bad uh yep he’s shaking all right he’s shaking uh okay came over to help him but it’s too late all right great well now we have we have luscious larry luscious luscious loves the water park apparently come on buddy come on down here and play woo-hoo

Yeah you can climb up the ladder when you get bored okay when you you know your fingers started getting all wrinkly because you’ve been in the water too long all right hop in hop in there you go you stay right there okay all right well i think luscious is gonna

Stay right here he’s gonna be our safety inspector since he can dive down and not drown hey hey luscious wait right there we’re coming down we’re gonna go to top shelf going top shelf baby oh oh hi buddy you wanna go top shelf this guy’s gonna go top shelf too ready

Come on down yeah oh you missed oh boy you’re supposed to jump uh oh yeah that doesn’t look good medic somebody call a medic [Laughter] you get two broken legs you can’t swim now yeah we might have to extend the ledge out one block because that guy totally

Missed he landed on the rocks like a dummy okay well like i said we have a few uh a few safety tweaks to make around here he’s good never mind uh call off the medics he’s fine all right i think for the last bit of this episode i’m just

Gonna do a little fishing um let’s get some lighting up here huh it’s gonna fish right here seems like it’s relatively safe and uh maybe catch some leather we can make some books so we can get into some enchanting oh here we go here we go our first fish at the water park

First fish forever ever and ever would we get oh we got a bow a curse of vanishing power four but curse of vanishing wow that’s actually pretty good cursed vanishing just means if i die then um the the bow disappears but it doesn’t matter because we’re in hardcore mode

If i die it’s game over anyway curse uh power four is crazy strong that’s a really good bow we’re gonna have to fix it up though because it’s not in very good shape but that’s it that’s our first catch right there the first catch

Is a magical bow oh hey look who it is billy billy’s here billy come to the water park i have a feeling billy does not like water parks that’s why he’s so far away right now oh here he comes he’s getting closer billy just dip your toes in man

Oh here we go here we go got another fish baby and our first fish it’s fishy business it’s a raw cod our very first fish and we got the fishy business advancement that is spectacular all right let’s get billy hey billy billy come to the water park it’s so fun watch

Watch me buddy come on in just dip your toes in it’s fine don’t be such a baby nice and warm what oh stop come on in yeah there you go look i told you it’s great isn’t it billy loves the water park where’d he go

Oh there you are come on back it’s not that bad don’t be such a drama queen come on come on billy all the cool kids are doing it come on back come on back don’t leave now your big baby [Laughter] up i know i need a safety rail there i’m

Working on it i gotta get some iron uh you really shouldn’t stand on those yeah we definitely need a safety rail here because the uh the waterfall is pulling me right down and that’s a hazard all right anyway um i think we are gonna call it quits right here for now

Uh i gotta fix this up that’s a little messed up yeah there’s a whole bunch of little things i need to do around here um which i will do off camera and we’re gonna get it perfect for next time okay i’m back i’ve got some iron bars

Now just made up and we’re gonna put this uh put it right here this shouldn’t block anyone from uh going over i would think oh a little spot of lag there yeah there we go that’s gonna work perfectly fine so no boats can go over let’s give it a test

Yes excellent and how about swimmers oh i didn’t mean to jump down that way ow there we go perfect nice and safe just the way we like it hello mr inspector how you doing down there okay anyway we’re just about done here folks i know i keep saying i need to

Quit but i’m having too much fun under a water park here i think i’m going to make this a little safer we are being uh being watched right now whoa what’s that oh you want to do the leap come on follow me buddy let’s test it out oh ow

Hey dude you got to move your boat okay it’s not very safe uh sir that’s not part of the ride get out of the boat that’s the safety inspector’s boat come on now get out of there we can’t have this this is just too dangerous just too dangerous and what what irony right

Creeper and the safety inspector’s boat all right thank you for that can’t have any kids grab that gunpowder right right okay so what did you think was good it was good great okay well we got uh we got the nod so it looks like this ride is now complete the lava ledge

We’ll call it or lava leap so what i’d like you guys to do is come up with some names for our rides so if this is going to be called lava leap um we’ll put a little sign right here i think we’re going to oh gosh we gotta

Fill in this gap right here um yeah it’s gonna be a run and a leap and then into the water but you do wanna have a little bit of lava there for a little added challenge you know what i mean let’s in fact let’s get rid of one more

Maybe like right here can we make that jump oh my gosh it’s so scary but i think we can do it yeah let’s try it out one last time i’m gonna need some running room and we’ll put this right here lava leap lava leap leap of faith ready on three

Two one go woohoo lavalier i made it yeah it was perfect what’d you think it was good right yay oh boy uh somebody died oh well okay well i think lava leap is now done um like i said i’m gonna make up some signs and if you guys can come

Up with some names i will pick the best names for the rides we got the magma boat ride right yeah we can call this like uh ride the magma or magma waves or something like that right and then we got the um going off the the waterfall ride

Call that the flying boat or something flying fish we’ve got the top top shelf and then we got the hole around here somewhere is that the hole right there i think that’s the hole yes there’s the hole so we have lots of different rides we just need some names

I’m going to add more rides too i’m thinking about maybe um like a water slide and maybe a water shoot honey a honey slide too like with honey blocks that would be fun and possibly a mine cart ride where you just go right off a ledge

In a minecart and splash down into the water yeah it’s gonna be excellent all right i think now my friends we are done here so yes that’s your homework come up with names for the rides and i’ll pick the best ones and we’ll see you next time have a good day bye bye [Applause] You
