Minecraft Bedrock 1.16.210 Update! Block Lag Is FIXED! Rejoice!🎉4 MAJOR Bugs Added, Parity Changes

Hello everyone sonny here and welcome back to another episode of bug rock of the week the newest bedrock edition update is here 1.16.210 has just released and it’s an update full of bug fixes small parody changes and other very good additions to the bedrock edition as you can see from

The change log there is a lot of things in this update and most of these bug fixes and parody changes were originally introduced in the most recent dozen or so betas so we’ve actually already covered basically everything in this change log on this series in the last 10

Or so videos so we’re not necessarily going to be covering the change log in today’s video instead we’re going to be taking a look at all of the newest bugs that this update brought us there are five big ticket issues that you should be aware of and then i think you will

Really enjoy knowing about and seeing so we’re gonna check out those in detail and then of course there’s a bunch of smaller minor bugs that are good to be aware of and good to be on the lookout for when playing in the 1.16.210 update so hopefully you enjoy

And let’s hop into the video shall we please keep in mind that this update does not add any caves and clips features whatsoever it’s pretty much exactly as i predicted a couple of episodes ago all of the caves and cliffs features are in the betas locked behind experimental mode which means that

Everything not in experimental mode like all these bug fixes and parody changes those are the things that got added in this new update all the caves and cliffs things are still in the betas and they will be for quite a while you may have seen some screenshots or heard some

Stories of this scary looking nether generation corruption with this update this is actually a fairly standard and mild thing that can happen to bedrock dedicated servers it doesn’t happen to realms or anything else it’s just bedrock dedicated servers and i’ve actually made a video on this in the

Past as well with a solution on how to fix it so i haven’t seen this in the nether before only the overworld and as you can see it does look pretty fascinating in the nether basically the normal world generation completely fails and all the blocks get replaced with a

Stone instead of the normal blocks and all the lava gets replaced with water fixing this terrain isn’t really possible in this update due to world edit still being broken so if you want to get rid of these areas in your world you will have to roll back to an earlier

Version from before this update which is quite unfortunate and really this entire update just hit bedrock dedicated servers pretty hard a lot of bedrock dedicated servers have seen many many different issues massive thank you to phantom limit for inviting me onto phantom smp their server to check out

The nether corruption and all of the failed generation of the chunks it was really really cool so thank you so much that is how we got all the footage for today’s episode of the nether issues so show some love for phantom down in the comment section something that wasn’t

Really mentioned in the change log but is a massive massive fix for bedrock edition there’s now a permanent solution for block lag and that is just absolutely huge news if you’re not aware of what block lag is it’s basically when you go to miner block it can reappear

And it just doesn’t let you mine it and you got to mine it multiple times more or less you probably won’t experience this if you are in single player but if you’re on a realm or a bedrock dedicated server or even just a multiplayer game you’ve likely experienced this now there

Is a little bit of a workaround to avoid this issue in your world basically if you don’t have any form of unbreaking on your tools then you will not get block lag but now there is a fix that you can try out and experiment with for bedrock

Dedicated servers if you go into your server properties file you can turn on this little thing and for the most part from what i’ve heard absolutely everyone is having really good success with this little game role i guess you could call it and no one has had any form of block

Lag since trying out this new little game roll so that is a fantastic block lag has been a huge issue on bedrock edition for a very very long time i’m so glad to see that we now have a proper fix for it if you want more information

The link to corner hearts tweet will be down in the description and of course the link to the bug report will also be down there as well something you probably don’t know about is that there was a huge massive security flaw bug for realms that basically allowed literally

Any single player on a realm to run the game test commands if you didn’t see the last episode of bug rock then you probably don’t know what game test is basically you can run these little commands uh like the run all command that summons all kinds of these things

Throughout your world it will literally summon like 500 plots of villagers throughout your world and of course it summons in a structure block a command block it spams your entire chat and it gives you a beacon with a beacon base as well yes literally any single person on a realm

Could run these commands and as a bonus it would show up if you just type slash in the chat and of course it’s highlighted in bright blue letters so this was a thing on bedrock edition for two or three days luckily mojang it just pushed out an update and a fix for this

Today friday the 12th so they fixed it very very quickly me and several other private groups on discord were helping corner hard and a couple of the other devs get this fixed and make the bug report private and just try and keep this as under wraps as possible because

Of course one random troll can completely destroy your entire server and realm by running this command look at this oh my god this is different from the betas this is like a lot yeah you don’t want this happening in your worlds especially your survival realm now keep in mind this is an

Experimental mode feature as well and you did not have to turn on experimental mode for this to be happening on your realm literally every single realm was vulnerable to this for a moment there now something i want to say here is that if you did share this with the public

And especially if you’re a youtuber that made a video about this for beacon farming or whatever you clearly have no regard for any form of server or realm or survival community on bedrock edition if you’re showing this to the to the public yeah don’t show this to the

Public this is very bad don’t show this anyway it’s fixed now so we can talk about it i mean just look at this this is all from one command it’s honestly quite incredible i’m really excited for the future of game test but that was a little bit scary that this could happen

On any realm without notice yeah so if you see this on your realms uh feel free to i guess keep it i don’t think it’s gonna turn off your achievements or anything and if it does turn off your achievements then you’ll need to roll back into an earlier

Version of your realm from a couple of days ago before this was possible i’m kind of fuzzy on the details precisely but i don’t think there’s any long-term effects from this in your world even if you did have some of these summoned in then you should be fine of course you’ll

Need some bedrock braking methods to get rid of the command blocks and structure blocks if you don’t have creative mode access or anything like that but overall long-term effects should be rather minor besides of course of the possibility of griefing a world in mass by the way kelp

Reporting is now back in the game basically nether portals can fail to do their math correctly so they will send you to the incorrect location in the nether and or the overworld if we eat inside of this nether portal as we’re going through it or if we do other

Actions then that will trigger this bug this is the very first thing i ever covered in the bug rock series and it has now made a return a couple of years later i can’t seem to reproduce this on a solo world however i have had multiple reports of this happening and the new

Update on realms and servers so be aware of this if you’re playing on a multiplayer world basically just don’t really do anything as you’re going through another portal just stand there don’t eat anything you don’t interact with anything and you should be teleported to the correct location

Reliably if you do other actions well inside of your nether portal you may get teleported to the wrong location and you could be thousands of blocks out of your way next up we have a very very cute and very adorable bog that you might run into and could possibly maybe ruin your

Day so it turns out that foxes actually have like an entire inventory and they can’t equip armor and weapons and all these other things so just to prove this real quick we’re gonna give him a totem of course he puts that into his mouth

And then if we kill him then he will of course use that totem as you can see there we got the totem noises the dude’s still alive he’s not holding a totem anymore and now we can kill him properly however they can also put on entire sets

Of armor so chest plate boots pants and then a helmet as you can see all those things got picked up by the little fox dude he can even pick up tools and stuff in his little mouth and a texture pack has actually been made to show the armor

On these foxes loading up the world with this texture pack made by fond unicycle shows that the fox is indeed wearing a bunch of armor and look how cute he is oh my god it’s got little boots on his back legs oh my lord okay this is this is great

Can we keep this bug maybe i shouldn’t put this in a video hmm look how adorable he is he sits up even i’ve heard that these guys can actually pick up an entire inventory’s worth of items although i haven’t seen that happen if we toss a bunch of items onto

The ground uh you can see that he picked up like one of the walls in his mouth but they don’t pick up the rest of the items maybe they can pick up a bunch of different random items i’m not entirely sure i haven’t been able to confirm that

But i know that they’re adorable and i know they can pick up armor and weapons and just be the greatest the cutest little foxes on the planet hey did i mention that uh these guys can equip a full netherite armor and an elytra look at that it’s even got the texture

On it okay this is great i need you to jump off of a cliff real quick this is basically tis tom in a nutshell yeah look at that they do actually open up the elytra wings so if i teleport the foxes to me real quick you can see that

The wings do open up he doesn’t appear to really fly with them but i feel like if he were to jump up into the air a lot then those wings would actually uh be a lot more visible let’s give them some slow falling okay they now have 10 000

Seconds of level 10 slow falling and look at that yeah they do actually open up the wings [Laughter] this is the best thing i think i’ve seen in minecraft look how cute that is oh my lord okay we need this in vanilla please don’t fixy bunky because this is great

Is he going to kill the little fishy they killed the little fishy oh beautiful these guys are so cute with their armor on i know i’m just gushing over them at this point but you like this is the content that you signed up for by watching this video and you know

It look at that that is the most adorable thing that you’ve ever seen in your life and you cannot lie about that one more test with the fox is to see if they will jump over a fence and see what happens with that kind of situation

Nice look at that the slow falling even happens as well it’s so cool those are the five major bugs from this update that i’m aware of that you should also be aware of so hopefully you enjoyed those now we got a whole slew of a smaller bugs that are in this update

Most of which are visual and this update also has a lot of mobile only bugs as well that i can’t necessarily demonstrate in this video but i can show you pictures of from mobile players so hopefully you can be on the lookout for those as well if you play on a mobile

Device okay let’s move through a bunch of these visual bugs then shall we so first of all when you’re moving items around in your inventory specifically potions or splash potions or bottles of enchanting they will have this little white square around them as you can see pretty clearly here i’ll also slow down

The video so that you can see it a bit better now there’s also another bug with moving items around in your inventory as well anything that is enchanted will lose its glint as it’s being moved around in the inventory so this one you can barely notice unless i actually slow

Down the video for you and as you can see whenever the item is actually being moved from one slot to another it is not having that glint which is a little bit tiny super minor bug but you know what it’s worth mentioning next up bows and crossbows have a terrible enchantment

Glitten texture as you can tell from the bow and the crossbow they just have a really terrible texture it’s like way darker than it should be and way darker than it normally is in other updates shields held in the offhand have some texture issues so this one in the main

Hand has of course a much brighter texture and the brighter part of the texture is at the top of the shield while the bottom part of the shield is a little bit darker and shaded now if we look at the one in the offhand you can

Tell the bottom part of the texture is lighter and the top part is much darker and in general when holding a shield in the offhand it’s just generally a lot darker than the one and your main hand as you can tell from the footage here not only is the texture for the shield

And the offhand completely upside down food also glitches into the shield when eating as you can tell here the bread goes directly into the shield i’ve also seen the shield to take up like the vast majority of the screen just like that typically this happens on mobile but

That’s my first time seeing it on windows 10. yeah that takes up like the entirety of the screen doesn’t it it’s not supposed to take up that much of the screen when blocking with it but i guess you know what it does doesn’t it the bow texture is also upside down when

Drawn it might be a little bit hard to tell but as you can tell from the arrow the darker part of the arrow should be on the bottom so the entirety of the bow texture is upside down when drawn furthermore when punching with a bow or

A crossbow or shield or other items like that you can tell the punching animation is off as well you can no longer stand on top of boats either so as you can see if i try and jump on this i basically just fall directly through it and you

Can kind of sort of stand on them for a second as long as you don’t move at all you should be fine but as soon as you start to move a little bit to the left or if the boat moves then you fall through or if you try and jump then you

Fall through the boat as well kind of really silly these things are very convenient to stand on top of when you’re in the middle of the ocean of course when you exit the boat in the middle of the water you still landed directly on top of it but then of course

You fall directly through the boat as well so not really that great view bobbing is even more broken how do they keep breaking the stuff it’s so simple now whenever you hold a piece of equipment and your main hand it will kind of just wave back and forth as you

Can see from the bow it just kind of like moves slightly the same thing happens with the shield it just slightly moves back and forth a little bit and the same with the crossbow possibly other pieces of equipment as well it doesn’t do it with the sword however but of course if

You walk forward with your bow then of course that bob’s back and forth and so does the shield and the crossbow normal items are dealt and the sword doesn’t but as you can see the empty hand does and of course we do have view bobbing

Turned off as you can see here and the settings if we go ahead and turn this on then naturally the entire camera shakes it looks like one of our legs is literally half the length of the other and in general it’s just very bubbly there’s also a new type of game freeze

As well so whenever you try to edit your world settings from this menu or in game and then you back out the menus or just in general edit your settings that could freeze your entire game and you would have to restart it there’s also a few mobile only bugs that i’m not really

Able to reproduce because well i play on a computer but here are some screenshots and some general rundowns basically crafting is more or less completely broken and it’s just very strange so good luck figuring that out i suppose the torches can also look extremely weird as well and most the textures in

The game are moved over by like one pixel including vanilla textures and even texture packs too so very very strange things there are several notes in the changelogs about known issues for mobile devices so in general this update’s just going to be a little bit

Extra rough for those of you who play on mobile so beware of that and hopefully we’ll see another update in the next couple weeks or possibly the next month or so to resolve these mobile specific issues and that’s it for today’s episode of bulk rock of the week if you have any
