Minecraft Compact Claustrophobia | ROBOT AUTOMATION OPEN COMPUTERS! #14 [Modded Questing Skyblock]

At the end of the last stream we went through to uh both of the glitch dimensions the uh 3×3 and the 5×5 glitch dimension the first one we completed with the help of that grappling hook the second one we did finish but didn’t complete and we probably will

Return to that at some point in the future but uh what i want to work on in today’s stream chat is i would like to try and automate the process of using these miniaturization of field projectors and we can do that using open computers so in the quest book here

Under the second questline there is a quest for a simple development robot this is everything to start your programming journey someday you might make something like minecraft but with much smaller blocks the computer won’t start without an operating system so to complete this we need a computer

Case we need a central processing unit also known as a cpu we need some memory also known as ram a graphics card a hard disk drive a screen an eep rom aka the bios card a keyboard and a venture upgrade and a disk drive so

The idea is that we’re going to build a little robot that can automate the placing of the blocks required and hopefully ultimately the throwing of the items required to kind of trigger the construction of something inside of the miniaturization field projector now i think it’s going to be

A little cramped if we try and do that in this room like we have a 9×9 compact machine of course but if we try and do it in here i think it’s going to be a little cramped so what i think i’m going to do at the start of today’s stream

Is manually make another 9×9 machine move our miniaturization fields into that machine and then use that as kind of the room where we automate our ultimate probably the making of ender pearls i think is the first thing we’re going to make because we’re doing quite a bit of these

Um every single one of the compact machines that we’re going to make in the future requires an enderpearl where you got thrown into pearl at the finished product and so we’re going to need quite a lot oh my goodness you can use 64 wool two black wool six orange oil

And two red wall with an ender pearl to make a chicken or to get a spawn chicken all the rest of them are like compact machines and then just out of nowhere there’s just this bizarre giant chicken head that is incredible but uh nevertheless uh we’re going to

Try and alternate the production of um of ender pearls and not only do i think we don’t have much space in here but on top of that um if we were to automate it in here you’ve heard the sound it sounds atrocious and uh ideally i don’t want to have to

Be listening to that like buzzing sound 24 7 as the system tries to continually uh make ender pearls forever and ever so first things first let’s have a look if we have what it takes to make another nine by nine compact machine now of course to do that

We do need to get uh four of these normal machine pieces which of course are required four of the um the normal compact machines which you can make over here with 26 machine wall one gold block and then one ender pearl so right out of the gate we are gonna have

To do some manual crafting here thankfully um our base has been trunk loaded since the since the end of the last stream so we do have uh over a thousand uh obsidian now which is very nice indeed but yeah let’s do a little bit of um manual crafting here to try and get

Those four normal compact machines this is the process that we’re gonna try and ultimate today well hopefully by the end of today’s stream going to have a robot that can do this for us it can put down all of the obsidian it can put down the block of redstone it can

Throw the piece of redstone um at the final product and then we’ll maybe use like a vacuum letter to collect the the unfamiliar item uh you should finally make a diamond pickaxe so you can farm diamonds much easier okay so multiple people have asked or mentioned in the comments

Making a diamond pickaxe and so um i will point out that we cannot currently make a diamond pickaxe because to make a diamond pickaxe uh you need three diamonds and to make three diamonds uh you would think that you could just craft uh nine diamond nuggets into a diamond

Unfortunately that’s not the case if you want to get an actual diamond you need the high impact competitor uh to turn nine diamond nuggets into one diamond and the high impact competitor is a massive 13×13 multiblock machine and so we actually can’t get a diamond pickaxe until we have basically the biggest room

This might be 11×11 i’m actually not sure it might be 13 by 13 i can’t quite count the blocks um in the space here but we don’t have a big enough space to build this multi block yet um and you know once we do we then have to get

However much power is needed uh you know 500 000 redstone flux and 10 000 rf per tick to actually do this so the the creation of a diamond uh is quite a ways away right now and thus obviously the creation of diamond pickaxe is even further away and uh and even

Then if we do get it it’s not great for getting more diamonds because the odds of getting um a diamond nugget are quite slim they are one percent right so um you’re not gonna you may get about 15 out of a diamond pickaxe which is not even enough to recreate

Another diamond pickaxe so um i think the only real reason we’d make the diamond pickaxe is to get the bedrock chunks because we need that to make uh the final pickaxe which is uh this one down here the bedrock of breaker so i think that’s really where the diamond pickaxe comes in

Useful and the diamond pickaxe is very much so like a late-game item in in that regard all right so that’s the uh the fourth seven by seven compact machine so now all we need to do chat is uh throw those through the the melter and then from the melter into the

Ingot former now right now both of these are actually not connected to power and i think uh what i might do is i might temporarily move the alloy furnace there and then i’m probably gonna grab some uh some flux ducts and we can probably make some more

Led stuff flux stocks here and then run those under the floor to actually connect all of these up and it makes sense to where actually i didn’t need to break that much i guess but we could just do like this and this and then maybe i can get out like that

Beautiful and then i guess all we need then is a fluid pipe because of course the nuclear craft machines do not output on their own and so all we have to do is something like this to pull the liquid out of the melter over and into the ingot former

And from there i think that’s pretty much it chat so we get all those in we do definitely want to get uh some of our speed and energy upgrades and i think i will temporarily go and grab some of the speed and energy upgrades that we have lying around the base

Because as you’ll know if you watched the previous at sessions the ingot former takes quite a long time i think it takes 500 seconds that’s not that machine and where are all of my things they are all in here right no that’s not that’s our new uh poop maker they are in

Gosh i have too many compact machines chat where in the world have i built my stuff gosh i forgot about that where’s my why am i making uh it’s here chad it’s here gosh there are so many machines but yeah the inga former takes quite a long time

So for now i’m just gonna take these out of here we’ll bring them back fairly soon uh but these are gonna help speed up the process support the melter uh but more importantly i think the ingot farmer is the one that takes 500 seconds per craft

By default you’ll see that it’s going uh going very very slowly i think if we put both of those in oh it doesn’t require energy of course so we don’t need to put the um energy upgrades in there we can just go 100 in on on the speed upgrades and make

That nice and fast beautiful i guess at that point we might as well speed this up first and then once that’s done twenty-four thousand i’ve protected my goodness and but once that’s done and once it’s like all of the the fluid in there then we can just move all the

Speed upgrades over right all right so now we can just take those out and throw all of the speed upgrades in there and hopefully speed that up quite a bit yeah it looks like it’s gonna be done fairly soon here and i think we have everything else it takes to make

The 9×9 compact machine we do nice all right so while we wait for this to finish what it’s doing let’s have a look at getting some of those parts that we needed so in the quest book computer case let’s go ahead and bookmark that cpu we’ll bookmark that let me

Unbookmark some of this other stuff that we have oh i’ve actually already bookmarked all this stuff look at that i’m ahead of the game so we need all of these items the computer case is iron a chest we need quite a few microchips paper i actually don’t know how much

Paper we have i think the answer is obviously not much um we can make people with sawdust however that’s a lot of like water buckets that we need but i think it might be faster than trying to do it with sugarcane yeah okay okay okay let’s get some let’s get some water chat

And let’s get some sawdust so we can make a lot of paper because we are going to need quite a few microchips today all right we’ll see if that’s enough paper uh it might not be but we’ll see so um iron bars easy enough kapow printed circuit board or pcb is made by

Smelting a raw printed circuit board which is clear gold and cactus green now cactus we do have some uh we’ll go ahead and smelt up i think most of the cactus that we do have here we’ll keep a little bit in case we need to uh to grow more

And then i did the wrong way around chat there we go and then we also need clear which of course we now have in abundance i think we might even have a full cash worth i’m over in here if i can get over there do indeed we have 20

000 blocks of play i think a stack is more than certainly going to get us where we need to go so we should now have what it takes to automate the pc ultra crafts and pcbs thankfully we do make eight at the time so we’ll go and

Throw those in the old furnace there good stuff uh hopefully they stack they do indeed good good good good and then other than that we need the microchips we are going to do quite a few of these transistors but thankfully they are made in sets of eight which is also very nice indeed

Now we do need more iron nuggets we’ll go ahead and craft a stack of those we can always craft them back should we need them so that is the computer case pretty much done and the only thing we should be missing there is a chest

I’ll go ahead and make a few of these we always seem to be missing chests again as and when we need them but that is the computer case um let’s also real quick pivot to making the assembler which again is not too difficult to make and we’re doing two pistons easy enough

Uh we need another pcb that’s not too bad the only thing we’re missing here is a crafting table and then also the microchip tier 2 which again does not look too bad just some more gold nuggets that gets us to what were after there so this is where all the

Magic is going to happen and this does require some redstone flux and so what i think i will do here is um essentially just extend out our power line like that and then throw this guy down here for now so this is where we put everything we

Can put in the computer case and this shows us everything else so we need the cpu we need the two sticks of memory we need the hard drive the graphics card the bios card and then we have some upgrades here and here that we can fill in as well so computer case is

Taken care of we’ll go ahead and unbox mark that next up we have the cpu here which requires a control unit which of course needs a clock of all things i’ll keep the time right more capacitors easy enough a arithmetic logic unit not too bad and boom central processing unit nice

We’ll go ahead and stick that in kapow that’s that bit taken care of next up memory now you can put in as little as one stick of memory i think but i’m gonna go ahead and put two in because there are two slots and uh i don’t see much of a reason why

Not so next up we have the old graphics card here probably got something like a uh 2060 graphics card which needs even more memory um which is more of these little microchips here and then i can’t base another arithmetic unit and then of course that memory chip

Right there a little bit of corsair ddr4 ram whack that in as well next up we got uh the old hard drive boom this thing requires three disc platters made of solid iron another piston i’m gonna make a few of these before you need them iron circuit boards and another pcb

Which hopefully we have we do good stuff good stuff boom look at that hard drive taken care of if it was this easy in the real world chat go ahead and bookmark that uh we need the bios here now not to be confusing there are like i thought there was other bios

You do need the lure bios this one right here redstone torch golden paper nice whack that in as well and then what we have so far will make a robot so i think we could hit assemble here and that would um fully assemble a robot for us but if

We want to be able to use our robot there are a few other things that we’re going to want so the uh keyboard here allows us to actually uh input commands directly to the robot and that’s going to make our lives a whole heck of a lot easier this is made with

Four button groups one arrow keys and one number pad so all of your standard uh keyboard stuff and essentially it’s just a ton of buttons and thankfully we do have a bunch of stern ready to go there so let’s see if we can make one two three four of those the old

Arrow keys and the numpad beautiful and then the screen is also going to allow you to actually like type an input into this guy so i’ll put both those in in the upgrade slots at the top there then if you want your robot to actually be able to hold anything which is

Definitely what we want then you need the inventory upgrade because obviously the idea here is that ours is going to be able to pick up obsidian and redstone and actually build that multi-block structure so we do want it to have some kind of internal storage after that we need a dropper

A hopper a piston again which we’ve already made another shocker chest of any chest and boom nice and then finally i described the disk drive um i believe is for a floppy disk because uh bizarrely in order for this to actually work you also need the the old operating system here which

Is an open os and you make this by crafting a floppy disk the most modern of um storage devices like so and then crafting that uh with the open computer’s manual which is a book and a microchip now leather of course we don’t have leather that would be too easy chant

Uh we make leather of course with our oh it’s been a while but we make leather with the pressed off which is made by dropping pepper in sewerage and thankfully we do have at least three paper here and as of the last episode we have an absolute whack ton of storage we have

I think maybe 160 buckets worth of storage uh inside of our sewage machine over here the bios is wrong i don’t think the bios is wrong right i think our bios is correct although i could be wrong that would not be uh that would not surprise me if i was the

One who’s incorrect oh that’s how you do this chat that’s two and a three nice all right that should get us our little bit of leather we should be good to go so boom boom boom boom nice okay we’ve got the open os all right so i’m pretty sure this is everything

That we need here in actually in order to actually like get this running uh so you need the cpu the graphics card the bios the bios might be incorrect the bios is incorrect chat so this is what i was trying to say earlier you need this one is just eep rom we

Need the one that has lua bios in brackets and that is this one down here so we do in fact need another open computer’s manual thankfully again that is just more paper in in the storage so that is very much so doable thank you for pointing that out to me chad

That would have been rather awkward because i think i might have had to remake the robot if i messed that up also isaac eat you dingus he makes a good point i will eat we might even have we’re making poop right downstairs is that a thing that we’re making in uh in here

Is our fluid transposer full of poop it is indeed so we can quite safely eat the poop now because if we take this out the poop is just going to keep getting like remade right like we could take a half a stack and it’s just going to keep

Going it’s going to keep making more poop so we do have basically infinite poop ready to go there and it’s such a good healthy and tasty source of uh of nutrition chat there we go all right so that should allow us to switch our bios over to uh to the old lua bios

Once again we’ll make another one of those open computers and manuals just after you make a book uh we are going to need a little bit more paper but that’s fine we have all of the water and all of the sawdust that you could ever desire lovely all right book number two

Manual number two and lua bios nice all right that should be everything graphics card cpu two sticks of memory one hard disk drive one eep r o m lure bios one inventory upgrade one screen one keyboard and one computer case with of course one disk drive let’s go ahead and click assemble

Now this is going to take two minutes and 18 seconds while we wait for that we are also going to need to make a charging station or the charger here this is going to allow us to charge up our robot to do that we need two

Capacitors and i think we are going to have to make another set of pcbs but that is fine and then actually also go ahead and grab these guys whilst we wear and craft up that nine by nine compact machine like so good stuff so charger what are we missing here uh

We need another one of the only tier 2 gold microchip i think we might have already had those because we made more earlier but then the pcb and these two just require some more transistors and maybe more paper yes we need one more one more piece of paper check

Sorry that’s a charger beautiful beautiful so i’m gonna make some caches here we have one i’m gonna make two more because we need to be able to give the robot the tools it needs to actually make the ender pearls right uh those being redstone redstone blocks and obsidian

So our computer is done it’s called a winter mute now unfortunately you can’t change the name of the robot from inside of the robot’s like software and although it’s strictly not necessary you know we could live our lives in a world uh with a robot called winter mute i feel like we

Definitely need a robot that’s called nick so that we can blame nick when the robot does not work uh so now that we have our robot that is ready to go let’s go ahead and drop this guy down over here so so so so the plan

Here chat is that we are going to grab these guys our field projectors and we’re going to place those in the new 9×9 room beautiful and then we can start to look at some of the commands that we can run with this robot so uh these need to go here here here

And here so they’re in the exact same places they were before and i’m gonna put my three caches here here and here and then gonna put my charger right about there and i’m gonna place my robot this way the reason i went up there is

That if i um can i pick this up i can sorry about that check if you place it down like this um it’s facing the charger not facing away from the charger um it doesn’t matter you can’t change it like you can tell it to turn around but

If you place it down from here this is the uh the front of the robot you’ll see it’s got a lovely chest there at the back so this is nick um right now of course it’s not getting any power from the charger it does have a little bit of power in it

It starts with the 20 000 redstone flux that it gets whilst it’s being crafted um we do need to provide power to the charger so we will do that um and you also need to give the charger a redstone signal if you wanted to actually charge the robot

But um and you know let’s let’s set that up now before we uh progress any further just so we have that good to go do we have tunnels we do indeed do we have flux ducts we do indeed i’m gonna go ahead and move this in that case i’ll take it downstairs

So we can put it actually i guess we could put it like maybe just right here like that and then we’ll have a tunnel over here like that so check in here what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna program our robot let’s go ahead and give this a flick

That’s charging up so now this guy should be fully charged she’s indeed fantastic so the way this works is you can go ahead and if you try and turn it on without the operating system disk you’ll get this unrecoverable error no bootable medium found so you need to make sure that you have

The open os operating system floppy disk in the floppy disk slot at the bottom right then go ahead and give it the uh turn on [Laughter] and there we go takes a little minute but here we go open os 1.7.5 with 384 kilobytes of ram right there have you

Tried telling it off and on again so so so what we need to do now is i’ll show you like a few things of how this works so we type in lua that’s the programming language we’re gonna use we hit enter let’s go ahead and load all that in um and

Now if you want our robot to do something we can go ahead and type certain things in here for example if we type in robot dot forward with the the two little brackets there click enter nick moves forward look at that beautiful if we do the same again we type in the

Robot dot back again with the the brackets he moves back look at that it’s just that easy uh one of the things that we’re gonna use a lot of yeah so over here is his inventory he’s got a few slots over here right now he has

This slot right here selected so if we put a block in there and we type in robot.plus spell it correctly and press enter it’s gonna place down whatever block it’s holding into the world right pretty neat stuff you can also do things like robot dot up most people spell it with a p

And then it moves up look at that beautiful and the same thing again robot dot down bubble moves down perfect so all we need to do is we need to write a piece of software into nick into his programming that allows him to build inside of this uh

Inside of this area here now what i’m gonna do first of all is i’m gonna turn him off and turn it back on again because ideally i don’t wanna have to leave this uh operating system floppy disk in him at all times and because we put a hard drive in him

When we built him what we can do is we can go ahead and type in install and press enter and that’s going to go ahead and install openos onto the robot at that point we can take the floppy disk out and we don’t need it anymore right installation complete would you like to

Restart yes just type in y there all right so now we have it loaded on we don’t need this floppy disk we can take that out and it should work just fine so what we’re gonna do chat is we are going to write a piece of software um and we’re going

To write a piece of software hopefully they can use and build the 3×3 structure that is all obsidian with a block of redstone in the middle now um i’ve showed you a few of the commands the other commands we’re going to use are a command called i believe it’s

Uh hold on we’re going to use a command called place to place down the blocks which i think i showed a second ago but we are also going to use a command called suck so for example if we go ahead and move nick for now and put him down

Let’s say right about here he’s now facing this cache and let’s say we fill this cache with some obsidian if we say lua try that again oh it’s not turned on it just looked like it was turned on chat here we go so lua and then robot dot suck

One word there check dot suck it pulls all of the obsidian out of the cache if we specify if we say robot dot suck one it’s going to just take one right if we say robot dot select and then let’s say five that’s going to move the selected

Inventory slot down to inventory slot five it’s one two three four five six seven eight and then so on and so forth so that’s gonna change the inventory slot so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna select inventory slot one pick up obsidian we’re gonna select

Inventory slot two pick up a block of redstone and then we’re gonna select inventory slot three and pick up the actual redstone right these are the three items we need to automate this here robot so let’s go back to robot uh dot select one like that uh what else do we need we

Also have robot.drop if you have robot.drop1 it will uh drop one of whichever item it’s holding and that should be basically everything we need so what i’ve got ahead and done chet is to save you the hassle of watching me code for the next 45 minutes i have

Pre-made a little bit of code here and there are a bunch of ways you can do this the robot can also use uh tools so you could put like a pickaxe here and then have it use the pickaxe you could put i see i saw a comment

Suggesting using like the copy and paste tool from building gadgets so you can charge this up and then use something like this to have it like you know use the gadget for you on your behalf that would work as well the method that i’ve gone with is basically just a brute force method

Um before i show you my full code here i’ll also show you how we actually um like create a program here so we turn this back on and if we go ahead and say let’s say edit test this is going to create a program called test you don’t have to

Create one if you just type in edit and then anything it will create a program for whatever you type here so we’re going to type edit test and so now we’re inside of a new program that’s called test so if you want any of your programs to actually be able to

Work with robots uh you have to start with this command right here local space robot equals require robot all right um at that point if we then say uh let’s say robot dot forward and then robot dot up and then let’s say robot dog back so it’s gonna go forward

It’s gonna go up it’s gonna go back and then let’s say roberto down that should in theory if we run this uh software it should move the robot forward up back and down right as the robot should kind of go in like a circle in the vertical space so to save it

Control s as you can see the bomb there and then control and w takes you back out and now if we just type in test we should see it move up look at that he did it do it forward up back and down the whole software ran because when he’s having test

It runs the software we just created so test and boom right now the other piece of information that we’re going to need if we want to make basically infinite ender pulses we’re going to need to make sure that the program loops right so once again if we go to edit test

Let’s say we want nick to do this forever right what we could do is we could for example uh declare some kind of variable let’s go ahead and say loop equals one right and then we can go ahead and type in repeat here and then down at the bottom

We can go ahead and type in until and unfortunately the interface is a little tricky to use but we’ll go ahead and like in indent these just to make life a little easier so the repeat until command means that you will repeat what’s inside of this like section here until a certain condition

Is met so we’ll say let’s say repeat until uh loop is greater than two right now loop’s never gonna be greater than two because we’ve set loop which you could put any word here by the way it doesn’t have to be the word loop you could put potatoes here if you like

Uh but we’ve just created a variable that we call loop and we set it equal to one we’ve then set this to repeat until loop equals two and normally what you could do if you wanted to repeat something a certain number of times is you could say inside of the loop you

Could do loop equals loop plus one and at that point um it would you know do it once and then the loop would equal two and they’d do it again it looked pretty cool at that point it would stop right so if we get rid of that the loop should

Now go on forever so let’s go ahead and save exit and then run test at which point our robot he’s just gonna he’s gonna do this forever and ever and ever right he’s never gonna stop because loop is never gonna equal two so he is just going to continually suck power out of

This charger every time he briefly touches that like spot right there and he’s gonna do this dance forever so if you want the robot to dance this is it this is this is how you can make it work right it’s a little uh a little janky but it gets the job done right

Basically a real nick i mean so let’s go and turn him off there we go and then we’ll turn back on again you also break him if you want that to happen so like i said before there’s a bunch of ways you can do this um but the way that i have

Coded this is that basically just a brute force method so let’s go ahead and edit and let’s go ender pearl like that so we’ve created a new piece of software a new script or file called enderpearl and then i’m going to copy this piece of coding that i’ve written

And then to paste you don’t press ctrl v to paste and you press insert so here we go and like i said this is quite long but it’s also very simple give it give it a second there we go so right at the top here we’ll go back

Up to the beginning we have that uh initial command that loads in uh the commands for the robot we have loop equals one again so the loop’s gonna continue forever the repeat it’s the same as before and then basically all we have is we have commands telling the robot

To head on over so it’s like turn left go forward turn right it’s gonna move its way over to here i’ll just run it for you actually let’s go ahead and uh save exit and then go ahead and enter pearl enter so what they should do is

Go pick up the obsidian pick up the redstone pick up the redstone and he’s gonna put the redstone down are they sitting down it should then put the block of redstone in the middle beautiful this ain’t gonna rise back up drop the redstone look at that chat look

At that it comes back to its stock and then it starts again it’s going to do this forever and ever because luke’s never going to equal zero look at that chat i’m quite proud of myself it’s very janky coding but it works it gets the job done

It’s very much so brute force way of doing it but look at that it’s working so i’m going to turn this guy off for now because we don’t have infinite resources here so if we want this to go forever we would have to have you know infinite obsidian infinite

Redstone and infinite uh you know redstone again but that is the general idea there and i’m very happy that that actually worked but yeah it’s pretty simple stuff uh if we go and turn this on i just put a timer on him with a charge

Station i don’t know how to do a timer i looked into it i don’t know if like i don’t know if lua has like a timer command if anyone knows let me know i would love to have like a a timer so he stares like he like waits a few seconds between

Cycles but i currently don’t know how to do that it took me a while to get the the software that i do have down uh if we go edit and uh pull so we have a few commands like turn left go forward turn right go forward

But take him to the obsidian he then sucks up 26 obsidian right here he then does some more turning and moving until he gets to the next cache so then selects slot 2 which is this one here and sucks one block of redstone he then goes to the

Third cache select slot three so it’s one piece of redstone dust to go along with one block of redstone so at that point he has everything he needs uh to make the actual structure um i then just have a lot of you know programs telling you where to go

Make sure you select uh slot number one again place down the obsidian move around place down a bunch of obsidian and then he keeps moving and placing blocks until he gets to the top middle block at which point he will then select number two i’ve seen him selecting one there

There’s there’s one point where he selects number two to place down the old uh the old redstone there it is select two place and then go straight back to select one uh afterwards place that down and then it goes down and places all the rest of the obsidian and right at the

End he does go up a little bit because you may notice whilst he’s building it there are a few points in time where he like blocks off this animation right like if you put blocks in certain spaces so if you have a block here it stops the animation and when he is

Like finished he finishes like right here right in this kind of top left area he finishes right here where this top thing is and uh if you try and drop the redstone like the final bit of redstone to trigger it whilst he’s here it doesn’t work like

This is not here so he actually blocks the whole thing from working so you do have to have him go up a little bit i think i have him going up by two yeah so one more above that stops the uh you know animation from being stopped

And allows the animation to keep going at which point you can then drop it so right at the bottom here he has here so he gets select three which is him selecting the redstone dust he goes up twice drops it and then turns right and heads back towards the dock at which point

Streams you can in fact filter the vacuum later because one issue that you do run into if you don’t filter it is that of course the vacuum later will try and pick up the redstone that is dropped right at the end of the craft right just before

Uh it starts the animation of actually making the ender pearl the robot has to drop a piece of redstone and therefore uh you need to make sure that uh the vacuum later does not pick that redstone up thankfully that is fairly easy to do all

You gotta do is in here let’s say we put the vacuum motor down uh maybe like right here so we can pull out the back of it if we need to uh if you shift right click so it’s odd because this mod has this mod pack has the carry on mod

So if you’re too close you’ll just pick this up if you shift right click but if you’re far enough away and you shift right click you get this page here at which point we can go ender pearls white list and ignored at that point it’s only gonna pick up

End of pearl so now if i throw anything else down here it’s not gonna get picked up it’s only gonna pick up the ender pearls nice so chat what we should do now is we should be able to go ahead and type in ender pearl like so at which point the nick robot

Should begin picking up the required items he should then begin putting those items down again you can see here the animation stops occasionally when he’s kind of on the outer edge of the of the cube so you do need to make sure he’s not on like in that space when he drops the

Redstone which is why he moves up drops it down goes back to his dock and now he’s gonna wait 10 seconds we could probably shorten that like he can start putting the next set down before the first set is finished like we don’t have to wait quite so long

One of these here an exporter and i might put down like three strong boxes they don’t have a ton of storage space but we also don’t need a ton of storage space um i don’t want like all of our redstone to be in here right um and in block form so what we

Might do is we might teach our system how to make redstone blocks and then have it fill just a cache with redstone blocks and then the same is kind of true with obsidian i just have it fill like a strong box with obsidian so let me empty these out

I don’t know i don’t think we’re making obsidian fast enough right now to uh to leave this running but um one thing i have been saying for a few streams now and one thing that we’ll work on in just a second here is that we should switch over to the

Crucible for making lava because right now we’re using our magma crucible to make lava which is painfully slow and there is a much faster way of doing it the uh the faster way of doing it is with the magma crucible so we can hopefully increase our lava production significantly and that of course

Trickles down into a significantly faster bit of obsidian production as well for us and thankfully this is also not too difficult to make it does require a tiny glitch to machine which thankfully uh we did make a few episodes back we have it over here so i’ll go and pick this guy up

And that should be our crucible pretty much good to go beautiful i think we’d have to smelt this we do good stuff and then i guess we can probably just put this in the same place that we put our magma crucible we could probably just do a straight one for one

Swap or maybe not actually because the magma crucible can also output and it’s quite possible that the the crucible here can’t um but what we do need to do is we need to get a heat source for underneath the magma crucible so uh sorry the crucible crucible

The way this works you put it down right now you’ll see it says rate zero if we were to grab let’s say a torch which i don’t even think we’ve made in this pack so far because we don’t need them but if we were to grab a torch and put

It here and that has a rate of one which is very slow but if we were to put cobblestone in there it would very slowly but surely turn that cobblestone into lava as you can see however people did tell me that um it’s either boron or oh no i think it’s

Um what do we have here hold on steel pickaxe there is a element that we are generating that is very fast thorium that’s the one thank you cat thorium so we can create thorium 213 right here um and actually you can find this out if you go to the uh crucible

And press eu like this you can see all of the different heat sources and how well they do so um america america uh 243 is very good 100x um but probably out of our price range right now the one we’re going to go with is the thorium 230 which is 61 times faster

Than a regular torch and it’s not too hard to make it’s nine thorium 213 or 230 oxide we’re going to use volume 213 um which is made by smelting thorium 230 oxides i think i can work backwards to chat hold on thorium we already have one volume 232. if we

Take our volume dust i believe we put our volume just into the ice top separator so that gets us thorium 232 and tiny clumps of thorium 230 okay so if we run it through the separator we just need to get enough tiny clumps to craft up nine thousand two thirty now i believe

Our isotope separator is currently being used for our fission reactor and i really don’t want to interrupt that so probably just go ahead and make another isotope separator here i don’t think that should be too difficult for us to do assuming that we have enough enough plating and whatnot use blazing

Pyrolythium i think the blazing pyro theme is a little worse right like it’s not quite up there with the um with the thorium oh wait kendrick only more riot alas we do not have the uh the quality evolution my friend otherwise i’d be all on it

Nice and once again i think i would like to find somewhere on this line here where i can put it so i’ll move the water over there for now and we’ll throw our isotope separator right about there good stuff um i’m not quite sure if we’re gonna get enough

Out of this but we can uh we can definitely give it a try while we uh wait for that to finish its uh its stuff um what else were we working on here so i wanna get yeah i wanna get strong boxes uh i think i wanna even go with the

Basic strong box because i don’t they don’t really need to be that big at all so i’ll get three basic strong boxes which are uh nice and small uh the benefit of the strong boxes of a regular chest is they don’t uh connect right so if we can put these down

Without them all turning into double chests so we’ll do one two and three like that and then we’ll have export buses on the back of all of those with probably a tunnel right about there and that connects up to our refined storage system so that’s all the thorium taken care of

Like that we’re going to craft that up into a block like so and we put that down underneath our crucible and that’s now going at 60 watts speed and you can see it tall through that cobblestone nice and fast so that should be a much much quicker source of

Lava forest now the question really chat is where do i want to put this i think we should probably just put it in the room with the obsidian generation it does mean we would need another cobblestone generator but again these are not really too difficult for us to make we

Just need more basic plating and then we need a bucket of water which we do now have the ability to make nice and easily thanks to this unlimited water source right there and we’ll probably actually chat at the point where this cobblestone generator is likely not fast enough uh to keep up with

This long room uh keep up with how fast the crucible is right so like over here this is where our obsidian is being made that’s why our lava needs to be so if we have let’s say oh we should probably move this [Applause] yes let’s move this i’m gonna have to

Get some another bucket of water in a second here that’s fine essentially what i’m thinking chairs this needs to be a bit higher zone or it’s gonna be easier if it’s higher up you know we could do some janky wiring but there doesn’t really seem too much point

Especially if we uh you know don’t need to so if we do crucible with the thorium we can put the cobblestone generator on the top that’s gonna start putting cobblestone uh into them producing lava right away uh we then need to pump that over into the um

The barrel which may have been collected in here it was so we’ll put that down i guess just right here is fine so we do it to suck out of there but that’s again just a fluid it’s not too bad and then from there we can just have

This guy back down like so with the server set to extract and that should uh to do almost all of that we do of course have to have some blocks here to actually put the water back down in uh but that is pretty much good we shoot some water and we need a

Fluid exporter which i think we should have over in our system here we can’t use the standard fluids unfortunately because they uh do not carry lava well they will burn and break uh you have to use the hardened fluid notes but again not too bad

Uh server wise i think we already have a server we do indeed and the bucket of waterwise and we of course have once again our limited water source good to go nice let’s go to that floppy disk we don’t need that right now and uh yeah i think that’s it i think

We’ve already drastically increased the speed at which we are producing obsidian nice so we we kind of need to figure out i guess how fast the robot nick or the nick robot well i was gonna say yeah we could do with figuring out how fast it builds

Like how long does it take the robot to build the three by three structure of obsidian like how long does it take it to use 26 obsidian because we need to either make sure that we’re making 26 obsidian in that time so that we can keep up or

We need to make sure that we slow the delay between each craft down enough to where we can make 26 obsidian before that time is up right i think for now we’ll go with the slowing method but eventually we could make you know we can make more crucibles more thorium

Uh more snow barrels fairly easily uh to increase this um it looks like right now the cobblestone generator is not the bottleneck which is nice we are you know pumping through the cobblestone and i speed the cobblestone has been put in there nice and fast so we don’t really have

Uh much of a tunnel there um what’s your problem there and we do have a tunnel you are correct chat in the back left corner here so we can go and grab that and potentially use that for um the refined storage cabling right but speaking of refined storage let’s get

Back to looking at these xbob buses so what do we need if we wanted to make three exporters we would need that nice all right so how do i want to do this chat it’s a good question i think i want to move this again

Because we need it to be one plus the power this is an empty chest we want it to be close to power but we also need to be close to the refined storage uh cabling right both of those are necessary so i think what we’ll do

To export obsidian we can set u to export blocks of redstone and we can say u to export extra redstone at which point these should begin filling up they are indeed good stuff um i do think that they are filling up fast enough yeah i think that’s gonna fill 26 before

Everything runs out now the only problem that we have right now is the fact that we are not currently making redstone blocks of pressure that is we’re currently making redstone automatically but we’re not making uh blocks of redstone automatically so to remedy that issue we could teach our refined storage

System how to craft blocks of redstone now based on my knowledge of applied energies i’m assuming we need some kind of crafting upgrade for our export bus to allow it to uh kind of request crafts that be done so that’s a craft up i don’t think it matters where we put the crafter

As long as it’s connected to our system um i believe we need to create a um a patent one of these right here if i’m not mistaken and then we probably need some kind of um patent grid if i’m not mistaken chat to actually uh make this happen is that correct yep okay

Are we out of uh advanced processors we are indeed okay so we need to make another advanced processor i think we just have yeah just about what it takes then we got one more diamond nugget we can of course make more diamond nuggets if needs be but um

Ideally we would uh not have to here but let’s see so uh that should be the patent grid beautiful for now i’ll put that right there so in here um presumably it works in the same way as applied energy sticks and that is that we create a blank pattern

And then up here we teach the system how to turn nine redstone into one block of redstone and then you put that into the crafter like so and at that point if you want redstone blocks you can just say that i want 10 redstone blocks start start and the system

Begins making redstone blocks now what’s happening right now is that because we have an exporter the redstone block’s being automatically exported to our compact machine in here and finally chat what we should be able to do and you know i might even go as far as to do something like this

To stop this filling up with more than 64 redstone blocks i’m pretty sure with this can fill up because we’ve got so much obsidian and you know what we’ve actually got so much redstone as well too it really doesn’t matter we’ve got like 860 000 redstone so

This filling up with blocks is actually fine um so over here all we have to do is put in a crafting card at which point this should be able to then uh basically request a block of redstone be crafted every time that it needs one so if there’s space in this strong box

This little exporter here because it has the crafting upgrade is telling the crafter which is over up here that it needs a redstone block the redstone block is then pulling uh the nine redstone from our cache over there crafting it up inside of uh that crafter right there and then

Sending it on through uh into here search that should be pretty much everything so at this point in time i think we can fairly safely turn nikon begin the ender pearl software and i think we’re good to go i think this should run pretty much forever producing an infinite number of edibles

I guess the final thing that we’d like to do here is maybe set this to up and i guess at that point we could even just uh do this set that to up and make sure the bottom is output so that on the outside here we can grab one

Of those caches that we got earlier stick that down directly above our compact machine like so and there we go we can give that a lock and now that should be essentially this cube generating infinite ender pearls for this cache now whether or not we eventually run out of oh

Every time man let’s uh change our entry point i’m gonna move it over here actually like that whether or not we’re making enough obsidian and or redstone is uh still yet to be seen no idea where that i guess i dropped that cache it still yet to be seen but i think we

Are probably on the safe side right now especially with the 10 second delay uh between each craft i think we’re doing totally fine and so i think we’re i think we’re good to go i think we’re good to go some people did ask if i could upload my

Uh code to like a um uh spin i’ll i’ll take a look at it and uh see if i can make that happen i assume it’s not too difficult to do uh it’s not particularly like hard piece of code but i understand it would be easier people could just copy and download it

Um if you are going to copy you do need to build things in the exact same way here so you need to make sure that your charger is you know exactly the same like order away from the uh your storage locations and everything would have to be in the exact same position

You have to make sure you put it down in the right orientation but if you do build everything the same and copy the code it should work just fine the code is horrible though it is pretty horrible code i will attest to this it’s very uh almost certainly very inefficient coding

Um it’s very much so just like a long bit of brute force coding but it does work and it gets the job done and it’s generating ender pulse followers which i am extremely happy about [Applause] you
