Minecraft Dungeons Gameplay Walkthrough Part 30 – Basalt Deltas!

Hello heard welcome back to minecraft dungeons today we are continuing the nether the flames of another dlc last episode we did the warped forest and now we’re heading to the basalt deltas right over this way we take a look at the story volcanic pathways deep within the nether there are the

Basalt deltas a violent and volcanic region where lava flows in abundance your safe passage relies on moving platforms from an unknowable time trusting that their secretive sources of power will carry you safely to your destination all right well that sounds pretty intimidating as everything else has been here so our current recommended

Power is 52.51 so we could try this but we might get our bucket a little bit i think we’re gonna keep with this and we could get a bow and an artifact so let’s give it a try and see how things end up happening your journey now takes you to the basalt deltas

A volatile wilderness of flowing lava and rough terrain you’ll have to rely on ancient technology to grant you safe passage across the lava just make sure you don’t look down i’ll try my best harder to do that when we have a top-down perspective camera but we made

A little bit of a different build in the last episode we tried to work our way back into another soul-based build so that’s what we have at the moment even though i did think i want to put this back over right yeah so now that i’ve gotten out of the way

Every time we defeat an enemy like this guy over here we should earn some souls over time so there’s that one right there these guys might feel tough to defeat at first but yeah i don’t know how exactly this is gonna go but hopefully it goes well

And right now our goal is just to explore the region and the basalt deltas so we don’t have any special arrows at the moment so i might not end up liking this setup we’ll have to wait and see because i usually like having the special arrows

So far these guys are tough so we’ll really have to experiment with it we have enchanted piglens and a lot of enchanted enemies you might want to use my potion just to start things off oh boy oh gosh okay that was a little bit painful we can slice and dice them pick

Up that food that was good but we could still use her bow and arrow of course just got to be careful to make sure that when we use it the most of it’s being made oh gosh an enchanted fungus thrower that’s new oh gosh lots of damage we’re moving really quick now

So let’s try that out that did not last me very long i think i was supposed to hold the button uh i might want to run a little bit and then come on catch you yes you stop throwing fungus at me i don’t appreciate the fungus throwing

So we’ll have to get used to this bowl to see if it’s something we actually want to continue with all that much but so far it’s not too bad oh let’s get the little vagueness too as you can see on the bottom left with the blue bar it’s filling up that’ll be our

Our souls and stuff it looks like we might have missed a little something this way so trying to get to that gotcha whoa once again i sort of messed it up because i didn’t hold it down but you could just blast everyone out of the way and it really didn’t use that much

Soul so that’s where the big power from this one comes i feel like in general we’re not super strong but once we pull that out we do so much damage so that can be nice and the only problem is we don’t really get much souls or any

Souls i don’t think i’m actually using it so we just need to make sure we’re earning more up but whenever we’re in a situation where there’s just too many enemies and they’re hitting us too hard we can rely on that and just blast everyone down like no problem it’s pretty crazy

But in the meantime earning of souls the normal way is going to be our go-to see this is a pretty cool skill set up i do enjoy it a lot and it seems like there is a lot of ways to go i don’t know which way the game wants us to go

Apparently backwards huh get rid of that little guy these guys are also indeed so many enchanted enemies and you’re just gonna fall off pretty good for us over this way and it cleared him up pretty well we were standing in that one thing which did some damage to us that’s never good

I’m gonna use the potion now real fast and the shadow brew oh a little bit and so far making this work there’s no secrets but there are six chests to find it should just be out and about looking around for those will be pretty important

But i mean so far so good oh here it is grab that and we’ll get the cog crossbow which i’m pretty sure is one of the new weapons that we were looking for in this level so that’s awesome so how are we getting up this thing uh

Or is it gonna lower it is gonna lower look at this just get rid of them all immediately it’s so good here comes some more though i guess this time i should take my chance to maybe get on there how’s this work there you go

Yep okay hold on oh come on i couldn’t get on now i’m stuck i’m getting really beat up so let’s get rid of them again that was not what i wanted at all come on guys you guys get down here excellent and now i can get up

Get a couple of extra pieces of meat and that’ll be another just found for us too so that’s awesome that was definitely a bit more of a bonus area with all of our extra speed we can run back over but so far i’m really enjoying enjoying this this is going quite well

Cool area cool weapon setup we have missed one slime got a refreshment for it it sounds like there could have been more enemies i missed down this way it might just be the bubbling in the lava it really wanted to go this direction but it’s sort of the same

Oh i messed it up again i gotta hold the button down for that to work but it does so much damage once you do it so it’s well worth it just to use our normal weapon set up for the easier enemies oh my goodness and then once

Some more difficult things pop up like this i could just mow them all down super duper quick like it was nothing really cool we are getting a little low on stuff so i just once again want to make the most of it so we have to clear the lava i’ll go and

Actually get that one then it’ll spawn in plenty of enemies for us to take on but that’s where the rest of your gear gets pretty good too because that should give us some extra souls just by equipping those for each enemy we get a little bit more gotcha

And now we can explore the regen i might use my potion real fast and then just keep moving i’m not seeing too much over here so whoa spoke too soon so while we have some space for them get rid of whoever i can that was good here come honey and mark

The slimes are always the toughest ones to sing i would appreciate it if some of these guys could drop some pork or something but so far look at a potion oh i got a level up okay i thought i lost a life there or something i didn’t

Know what happened but a level up is much more preferred because that refills my health when it was actually getting quite loud so that’s excellent i’m actually full on souls at the moment so i could just do some of that for fun and now we also have a tnt

I wonder if getting the level up filled up my soul meter okay not too bad we did really well there going the wrong way but two out of seven chests found so far we got the level 62 so we’re really popping off in a lot of ways we’re going to

Go over this way now what i’m gonna use this tnt against who wants it can it one there and one over this way oh the secret level right here okay oh we’ll get a cast this is what i’ve been waiting for now we can just melt it away oh my

Goodness whoa what about i die too i stand in the fire for too long i was so focused on blasting him i didn’t realize he was doing the same thing to me okay run back over there real quick because it’s almost down already ready gotcha awesome so with that we’ve

Unlocked the secret level didn’t we unlock a secret level in the last episode too so i guess there’s two secret levels with the clc that’s cool because it was sort of a split path situation with how everything went we could have chose one or the other

I guess we’ll go up here for now yeah there’s a couple of enemies running around so i could do something like that actually fell down to the other side gotcha definitely grab that swiftness potion so we can zoom through go to that pic real quick

Cool to finally see a gas and it kicked my butt but hopefully we won’t want to happen again what is that thing wildfire i guess it’s some kind of upgrade to a blaze i’m just gonna try to blast it but that really didn’t do too much

Come on i think it’s not really hitting it from this angle so i just hit the back up and then yeah it’s going above its head oh my goodness ah gotta watch it i really don’t want to run out of health here but this bridge is really narrow oh

That’s doing some damage there we go that was a new enemy how exciting he’s gotta play it safe now until i get some potions out oh we got the the potion thrower or whatever he is i don’t like dealing with him so getting rid of him quick is always preferred but

There’s a lot of them around come on i can use my potion now excellent they’re gonna get rid of my health right away once again jeez i might actually end up dying here because of the poison um no no no gotcha i’m so low on health oh get that

Get that i don’t know why sometimes they drop the pork and make the pig noise it’s sort of odd there are enemies everywhere i’m supposed to be going to the top right so if we go to the left hopefully we can find something extra i have another potion

I’m heading up here for now and blast through everyone that was so cool and that’ll be another chest for us get the shadow brew and a glaze again that was so so cool zooming over this way what else we got hey guys it’s so overpowered it just you have to

Earn it up so overall it’s still it costs something you know so it doesn’t feel crazy crazy overpowered more of just a trade i suppose gotcha these guys sort of blend in with the ground a little which is a bit scary but really be careful with it

Got some more souls back from that and we get ourselves another crossbow that off the try later really see what that thing does but i think we’re going to continue this way and we have what going on here i guess this um and i’ll use my potion now i’m still

Supposed to go that way so we’ll focus on everything over here first slimes to get rid of i see you up there i don’t think i can eat from here so for some extra help with the fork is always appreciated oh no there’s a lot of them or keeping up pretty well

So far this level is super fun to set up is super fun so i’m having a good time oh wow that hurts so let’s back him up because the lava from those guys plus the the damage from the the withers they are i think with their

Skeletons it really stacks up in a way they can be tough to deal with so it wasn’t really too much over here i just plopped down for no reason okay try again try again toss that over and that should get him yes it does review my little slime friends

Grab that pork for sure because i’m actually filled up on souls at the moment so if i want to just get rid of a couple of guys got it makes it much easier and there was something over here aha another chest there’s gonna be another cog crossbow

And four out of eight of the chests found so far so we’re about halfway through unless more pop up later on this currently stands low let’s toss that over to see who it hits because it’s certainly painful oh i need that it really need that got it

That was actually a really good tnt though and if i’m quick with it we end up not only spending too much on it anyways the uh whatever this is called what is it called actually the crafted beacon it’s so nice to have okay can’t do that that’s just going to

Lose me health it’s fine i love the potion restore actually it did sort of give me a shortcut because now i can head back this way and here we are so got to continue through the basalt deltas i should be able to zoom across that no problem is there anything over here maybe

Not quite not quite so more pigs coming in there’s our crossbow i think i’m supposed to head over in a way maybe that’ll lower some things or raise something for me oh all my stuff is falling and also am i that’s not good there’s got to be a way to get up there

Right now i’m not entirely sure what i do here because they’re coming to get me aha right over here ah i couldn’t quite get there in time come on please no no no no these guys are just not being kind here we go here we go got it and i think i can

Is get around here now excellent i think that’s all the enemies from this side i was just making sure get rid of a few more break open that pot no problem and then when we’re down here there’s so many enemies i could just blast through might as well whoa tossing that over

I think that got one of them yep we have a lot of arrows 157 of them i guess we typically have more than that but that’s usually with the gear that gives us more because this hasn’t been as ranged focus which for me is very uncommon i almost

Always pick the range focus builds i almost always had the fire arrows or last episode we had a lot of fun with the lightning arrows and don’t get me wrong those are really good especially for our current bow but there’s other builds out there and i think it’s worth

To check them out now these guys are not fun to deal with so i can get rid of them in any way possible i prefer it there’s a lot of ways to go oh man um i need to move it i feel like i’m getting stuck

Got it i picked up some forks that’ll help me feel i messed it up come on just get rid of them they’re too far up is the problem and everybody’s attacking me so pick up that pork back it up a little bit got him okay we’re making this work

I died before i just want to make sure i don’t die again whoa that was super critical or something that did 5 000 damage that was crazy it’s not expecting that this guy’s just standing in the lava lake it’s nobody’s business i’m jealous i wish i could do that oh this guy’s enchanted

But not anymore that was great hmm oh and there’s still chest waiting for us on this side with a piglet armor piece grab that and there’s still plenty more enemies waiting for us so oh boy this is getting difficult this level is actually much longer because i know we

Were a bit disappointed at least i was that the first level was so short but it seems like they are making up for it it was just some kind of weird introductory level of some sort got a couple of them the big downside with the corrupted

Beacon so far is when you’re not on an even plane that’s when this weapon sort of shows its weakness gotcha um now heading down this way what other options do we have oh my gosh oh that’s painful okay back up over to here get rid of all of you no problem see

Once we’re on an even level with them we just mow them down oh i’m on fire i’ve corrupted it’s not good but there’s some pork for me so i think we’re finally reaching the end of the side path so what will be here for us if i can

Actually no i’m in the lava i couldn’t see that that was sort of unfair come on let me up guys or you guys can go down either or there you go i got rid of a bunch of them but i didn’t get to join them

So i could just wait up here for now let this lower again sooner or later yep there we go oh that might have been a mistake uh no i gotta i got out okay that was good but i need these guys to back off a

Little bit there you go and i get a chest for another crossbow and quite a lot of those huh okay awesome so that should be this whole side path completed we should be able to run back to the main path now and hopefully get some more stuff done there

Luckily with all my speed boosts it doesn’t take too long to run over but i need to wait for my potions anyways so i’m fine with it hmm i actually sort of run the wrong wrong way this time gotta go up here yep there we go and i don’t think we missed anything

Anywhere or the six out of nine chests so the number of chests in total has gone up as we’ve been exploring so hopefully that doesn’t mean we miss any this part was tricky on the way through but i think on the way back it won’t be so bad

I can just go up here roll over and we’re already over so this is all new stuff i could just blast through those guys like it’s no one’s business sauce over some tnt too because why not oh here we go get splashed in i’m supposed to go to the right so of

Course that means i’m very curious to what’s to the left potion well i was i did not realize i was sitting in fire like i was that could have been really bad i almost lost another life and this is tough so far actually that’s sort of the weird thing i might

Oh gosh die i really hope i don’t is that the difficulty spikes sort of come out of nowhere i’ll just be doing fine and then immediately i’m almost dead there we go which i guess is my own error maybe just jump into situations a little too quickly

It could be difficult to avoid doing that though gotcha so i got a lot of them there just gotta not stand in the fire what do you know what a novel concept not standing in the fire just a lot of fire spots a lot of blazes just guess it’s good to

Focus on them first okay ready get rid of a good chunk of them right there even if i don’t get rid of every enemy with the crafted beacon that the amount of work it does do is significant there is a chest over here nothing major just kept going emeralds and stuff

But on this side it looks like we have some enemies this can bring us up we’ll get rid of all of them or most of them that’s the slimes gotcha and we’re good so i’m starting to figure this out getting into a good groove i think there’ll be another situation

Like this on the other side yeah it looks like it so we need to wait for this to go down uh okay um not exactly how i wanted that but it’s fine just gotta wait it out a little bit we have so many kaga crossbows at this point too ready

Blasted those guys away and then i gotta get up here and that’ll be another chest for us this time the scale mail so leaving that one we are at nine out of eleven chess together we keep on getting more and they keep taking it away you know why you know i mean i

Guess we don’t get our chests taken away but our progress technically is okay i want to get over here and it’s going to be just about the same deal oh my goodness so much stuff i love this beacon at the moment this is amazing so i think that’s everything on that

Side we’re doing an excellent job exploring everything there’s a little probably very similar section here and then we just gotta go through the whole another set of things this level just keeps going and going which it feels like this episode’s been longer than it has been we’ve only been

Out for about 20 minutes or so there we go got him and this time we get what do you know another crowd cost cog crossbow i do see another chest over that way so i’ll have to keep that in mind as we run over for now off we go again

Can i get up there it doesn’t look like it did i do this wrong oh maybe i just have to jump over from here ready got it much better plenty of other piglets and stuff waiting for me out here just gotta make sure that stuff doesn’t get too far ahead of us

Don’t take too much fire damage or anything try not to stand on any kind of fire spot that might damage me got some good potions there oh man we got some enchanted withers up that way so once they get a little bit closer that’s not as close as i needed them

Actually no i can hit him it’s just not doing instant takedown damage of course that was good though that was really good here comes another one i’m not hitting him away from the right angle yep it is the enchanted wither skeleton archer we’re taking on there lots of difficult foes

It’s cool to see some new types of enemies too since it’s taking us so long to get here to the nether got it and oh my gosh so much over here i want to get rid of it as fast as i can get another leave too it’s crazy oh i love it

I am getting a little lower on souls though so if i could try to build that back up because i never know when i’m going to run into the boss or something you know i mess was a big thing to focus on get over this way though

And there’s a chest here too so i know where the 13th one was we saw it for a moment before but what is all this about okay so we might actually have more chests up this way this level just never ends it’s crazy okay so you guys could come down

And then i’ll blast you all there’s one more pickle and he’s just gonna fall on his own good that was 13 out of 14. that was another scale yeah i guess the amount of loot you can really get in this level is quite limited which is a bit disappointing

Because we’re getting a lot of loot it’s just a lot of the same repeat loot and that’s just that gets a little disinteresting over time oh didn’t even see you there’s skeleton down there i might as well they try to get a couple of these guys if we haven’t been down here yep

Come on there you go so that means that there is at least two more levels to do in the flames of another dlc after this because we have the secret level that we launched in the last episode and the level we unlocked in today’s episode that’s pretty significant

Whoa another huge crit i wish i could get that against you know a more difficult opponent than just one with her skeleton get that against a boss fight or something that’d be so cool there’s a cool sound effect as well so i’m supposed to be going to the right

So you know what that means go to the left instead find other extra goodies we can find got it got some enchanted piglens waiting for me well they don’t have to wait for too long okay actually that’s a bit painful gotcha that was actually really good

And there’s that one chest i saw before so as it currently seems we’re all caught up 14 out of 14. so if we find anything more that should just be a bonus seem to get over here keep these guys away for a bit and then blast them all hold on yep okay

I’m up no no dodger stuff close close got it and then there should be another section just like that over here i think i guess we’ll see in a moment right over here whoa that’s a big big one got it i see that guy way over there i

Was able to get him from the distance that’s awesome and these are enchanted magma cubes i always call them what they call them like lava or magma slimes they’re magma cubes but i feel like magma slime is a pretty fitting description as well so we got to go back that way

I think we got to do that no problem i don’t know if we’ve really missed too many enemies you never get 100 of the mobs it always says that there’s a few percentage of them left over i don’t think there’s really much you can do about that

At least i’ve never gotten it maybe some of you guys have the blazes really are tough they do a lot of fire damage and they take a good amount of hits to actually get rid of so which way am i headed here it looks like there’s a little under

Section here but it doesn’t really do anything so i guess up the side of the mountain the bastille deltas so far have been our basalt not the best cell but salt does have been really really challenging but at the same time i mean we’ve only died once but i feel like we’re always

Teetering the edge of getting knocked out again i’ve had to manage a lot which is fun also scary there’s not too much going on this way i thought that maybe this would be a secret way to drop off corrupted at the moment anything up here not really looking like it i’m gonna pop

Down go for him that could have been better didn’t really need to use the souls here too much there was another critical 5009 damage hold on i missed one i got to get them because we are heading towards level 63 already making some good jumps towards that

Gotcha grab some easy health over there oh they’re waiting for me did that huge shadow damage maybe that’s what it is i’m jumping out of the shadow potion or that could have been coincidental i’ll have to really pay attention next time and see that guy just fell right off poor thing

Let’s get rid of as many as i can here i miss you i hear gas maybe we’ll run into them soon big dmd explosion that did a lot of damage all over there’s not too much over here so no gas we’ve already fought off with one so maybe i’m asking for too much

I figured they’d be more common they’re pretty common in the actual nether as far as i remember at least got that extra pork because right now our goal is just to find the exit portal i guess once oh my we do that sort of be all finished up with this this level

Got him lots of souls coming in so i’m going to try to save them up until we really really need them especially since we have over 400 errors we could use for range attacks too and there’s much more difficult enemies than a bunch of magma cubes

Oh like two gas oh man so if i could get rid of one of them like that but that potion another potion saying oh my gosh i died the big explosions do a lot so i don’t have too much time after doing that that’s the problem

Is that once they throw that blast i don’t have too much of an opportunity respond come on come on oh gosh and that didn’t even land that is so unfortunate two of them is really really tough but i got rid of you okay so throw the tnt over

And i might just want to play keep away for a little they don’t know where i am so i could do that and hit the 5000 so it is the shadow potion that does that okay come on got it oh there’s another one can i grab it and then go go go go

Gotcha wow that was tough leave another don’t mind if i do oh cause i don’t really have any lives left i don’t think is there anything down this way i don’t think there is others tossed out it’s a victory throw okay we did it that was insane victory

And i guess there’s no ending message for this level but that was really tough the uh basalts area really really crazy had a lot of fun going through it though and i’m happy that i was able to uh do over almost five hundred thousand dollars 98 of the mobs defeated lots of

Cool stuff what do we get for our thing now we get a totem of regeneration we’ve seen this one before it’s nothing too crazy so we definitely need to take a moment to take a look at everything we have here so we have a ton of leaves i really don’t need them so

I think we’re just going to salvage those for some extra points because i am loving our current one the soul knife is pretty good we also have some range stuff so i wanted to keep one of these so i’ll keep the highest level 157 and it’s a special

So it’ll have or two it’ll have a it’s a rare so it’ll have two so i will do this just so that we can get some extra emeralds and stuff and we’re coming up to 5 000 emeralds and what about our gear i think sort of the same deal but the scale mail

Uh this armor crafted near the shores of the great sea was inspired by the skies of the fish has damage reduction and melee damage but most of the piglet armor wearing this piglet armor is almost enough to make one feel at home in the nether almost we start artificial

Cooldown on potion use and 50 artifact damage that can be good but compared to the benefits that we get here i just don’t think it’s enough um we need one more point and we’ll get even more increased soul damage which will be huge for our current setup so i think for the

Most part maybe i’ll save one of these if i was gonna see if anyone one of them is gonna be this i guess or this one’s 57 this one has more options for its stuff huh these are not as good i don’t think so we’re just gonna salvage these now there you go

And got it now for our new stuff here i don’t need this one anymore so i can just keep that there and let’s see what we can find from the shops and stuff with the village merchant who has wolf armor which i’ve gotten before i think the soul bow and the hunter’s armor

This can be good the solo shimmers with all the beauty infuriating attacking facts so it has plus one soul gathering but i feel like i do need the harp bow right now so if i can keep with that that might just be a better move i do

Want to see what the cog bow is like though so let’s just try equipping that really quickly and see because i think this is brand new the gears of this ancient cog crossbow still turns smoothly making it a reliable weapon choice to this day so it has a wind-up attack Okay how did that make it do multiple there for a moment oh i see so it’s charging up up here in the top left that’s interesting so if i want to do a burst just gotta wait a little bit and then boom boom boom awesome like i said i don’t think it’s exactly

What i need at the moment but definitely worth keeping an eye on i like this one so i think they’ll put that in the chest i do have a twisting bow or twisting vine bow once again i don’t really need it at the bone club i don’t quite have enough for that one

I would love to try to work towards more artifacts crafted seeds because i want a better beacon if possible another random artifact the harpoon quiver this quiver holds a number of harpoons that swiftly pierce through enemies in land or underwater i don’t think we’ve seen that one before let me

Take a quick look at that because we have seen corrupted seeds it’s uh right down here sounds 55 this one’s 45 definitely gonna salvage that one but this the harpoon quiver i will equip it over this just to see what it’s like huh so as you can see it’s just giving us some

Poison arrows i think hard to tell um but some kind of different arrow just in the same way that that the lightning and the fire ones work very cool for sure and i hope to use that some more in the future but for now there’s my flamers what

Happened to my electric girls right down here okay should probably bring those up a little maybe to this spot and we’ll swap that over for now whenever this is done loading it might take a second uh but is there anything else i wanted to do in the meantime i

Really don’t think so i could take a look at my stuff here at the blacksmith but that’s still gonna take some time so if i take a look at the missions next episode i did unlock something the nether fortress back this way that’s really not today’s episode but last episode we

Unlocked the crimson forest and there’s also the daily trial so there’s a couple of things to figure out here for sure uh but i guess if we want to unlock the daily trial we need to complete another fortress so that probably means this is the last one

Who knows but for right now let’s take a look at the adventure club is there anything extra i can do here it doesn’t look like it we still have a little bit more to the next rank so you can defeat ancient mobs defeat enchanter food items complete soil

Missions on apocalypse without losing a life oh my gosh the enderman using a ranged weapon haven’t had the option to do most of these but i’ll keep on eating food items that’ll certainly help but for right now i think that is gonna wrap it up for today’s episode of minecraft
