This is Minecraft Dungeons – Yes the kids game version of Diablo and Path of Exile. I was thinking about getting this game even before it was free with Playstations Free Monthly games, which is odd? Right? Isn’t it odd? Anyway, this was my journey to getting the platinum trophy. The story for Minecraft dungeons tells the story of a NERD outcast illager named Archie who was rejected by everyone! (FeelsBadMan img), then one day he came across a powerful artifact called the Orb of Dominance and now he’s a little emo wizard that we have to bring to justice! As usual we’re going to split this up into different stages. Step 1 – We’re going to focus on completing the story mode, during this we’re going to aim to get as many misc trophies along the way such as blowing up 10 mobs at one time and finally enchant items and upgrade enhancements. The game opens up to the Squid camp being overran, so our first goal here is to clear this up and set up our base camp! This will get us the first trophy of the game Happy Camper! This will open the game’s level selector and will move us into Creeper woods, during This level we get the trophy Wooden Sword for killing 50 mobs, I’m also trying to kill as many cows and find as many chests to help the grind later on for some different trophies. Finishing the level got me my 3rd trophy Out of the Woods. Finishing Creeper woods unlocked Pumpkin Pastures and Soggy Swamp, finishing both of these unlocked the trophy The Plot Thickens. I did make a mistake by raising the difficulty for better loot drops which I think slowed down my overall progress instead of focusing on the gearing phase at the end of the game. Nether the less – During Soggy Swamp I found a Fancy Loot chest which got me Fancy That! Trophy. Very shortly after I got another trophy for reaching level 10 and started to feel my powers grow! Leveling gives you enhancement points to make your weapons and armor gain passives – I upgraded An enhancement to Tier 3 here and got Worked like a Charm trophy. Emeralds are given from chests and killing mobs which eventually got me the Cha-ching! Trophy, I didn’t need to have all 1,000 emeralds on my person though. I then found a great spot to kill 10 mobs at once with the TNT which got me the Blast Radius trophy for trophy number 9. Moving on to the next levels we completed Redstone Mines and Cacti Canyon, Redstone Mines will get very familiar with as I found an excellent spot to grind a trophy later in the game. Completing these 2 levels got me the trophy Built on Sand, Set in Stone. We unlock the next 3 missions which are Desert Temple, Fiery Forge and Highblock Halls – During The first mission of the 3, Desert Temple I got my trophy for killing 2,500 mobs. Once all 3 of these were complete I got the trophy High and Dry. As we’re at the endgame we start encountering these wizards that power up other mobs, I Started the grind early and focused these first before killing the wizard, once I killed my 50th fella I got the trophy Break the Spell! We’re already at the final level?! When I say this is a short game, this is a short game and I even took the hard route By increasing the difficulty as I went for better gear. On Obsidian Pinnacle I got the trophy for collecting 5,000 Emeralds giving me the Oooo! Shiny! Trophy. And now, we’re here! Time to beat this emo little fairy fly thing! This was actually quite the fight, Killing Archie gives us the Saved the Overworld trophy. With step 1 complete we have a few misc trophies to finish up that we otherwise couldn’t really do efficiently before finishing the game. Step 2 will have us kill Archie on Apocalypse difficulty, Reach level 50 and finish the grind on Chests, Kills and Enchanting. In order to unlock apocalypse mode I had to beat Archie on Adventure difficulty, so I took some time and grinded out a few levels hitting level 25 which gave me the Apprentice Adventurer trophy. On my way to killing Archie on Adventure mode I got the trophy Om Nom Nom for eating 200 Food items, a trophy I could’ve got early on if I grinded for it but was bound to pop regardless. I ran through the first few levels to test out the new difficulty and remembered that Cows and Sheeps spawned here more than late game so I knocked out the Passive Aggressive Trophy for killing 50 passive mobs. I kept 2 artifacts in my inventory pretty much this entire time and those were Wonderful Wheat which spawns a Llama companion to fight alongside me and Tasty Bone which also spawns a wolf. We needed the Golem Kit in order to get another trophy so I went over to Pumpkin Pastures on Apocalypse difficulty and got it as a reward for finishing the level. I summoned all 3 at once to make sure and this got me the A Friend in Need trophy. YAY FRIENDS. I need 5 more trophies for the Plat and these aren’t really the fun ones. My first plan was to knock out Archie once and for all. So first of all I went to the secret level Soggy Cave which you unlock during the Soggy Swamp level and ran it on apocalypse and gradually kept increasing the difficulty to go from item level 80 to over 100. You also get a guaranteed Obsidian chest at the end of the level which gives you 1-3 items, 1 item as a reward for doing the mission and the vendor gives you the highest level you are wearing as an average. I think this is a very very easy and efficient way to level so I will show you the full run. Doing this made me very very powerful to kill Archie on the hardest difficulty. Once I made quick work of Archie for a 3rd time I got the trophy High Treason! Now…. we have the sleeper trophies. I am nowhere near level 50! I have a good 15 levels to grind out, I looked online and it seems I had 2 options, grind more to unlock a secret cow level or go back to the Redstone Mines and find a spawner… so I did the latter, sat there with my X button taped down to AFK. It took me about 2 hours to go from 35 to 50. Hitting level 50 gives me my final level trophy Expert Explorer! I still have 3 trophies left – When I was running through the Redmines to AFK level I noticed that I was getting 1-3 chests spawn within the first minute of the level? Noone online had mentioned this anywhere, so I did what every other professional grinder does best. I ran this level over… and over… and over… until I opened a total of 100 chests. This unlocked the More for Me trophy. Getting the chests passively got me to level 54 which I thought was more than enough for this next trophy… but it wasn’t. You have to be a minimum of level 55 to get the platinum in this game. So I grinded out 1 more level and it gave me enough enchantment points to boost my Weapon, Armor and Bow to get level 3 Enchantment slots, I had to make sure I didn’t accidentally choose the Powerful choices as they cost more. Doing this got me my next trophy Maxed out and Geared up. This leaves THE LAST TROPHY! Reviving a down friend 20 times. I have friends I swear, no really I do…. I just, they were offline. I turned on my second controller and forced my 2nd character to die 20 times and revive him for my last trophy Life of the Party. (which I am) And with that we received our Platinum Bragging Rights – ON A CHILDRENS GAME LETS GO!!. This game in the end only took me 12 hours to complete, which time could be shaved off if you watched a video like this to help. Thanks for watching! Whilst you’re here, fancy subscribing? I always have fun with Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons was no different. The platinum wasn’t too bad at all and I luckily found some great gearing spots to help the end game. The Platinum took me around 12 hours to get. I started to work on the DLC but in total there are 105?? trophies in total, so it’s something I may go back to in a few months.
What’s the game you’re trying to get the platinum on?
