Hi this is ian x04 and today we’re going to build an extremely simple yet powerful multiple wave raid farm that is ridiculously easy and quick to set up in survival don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this farm this farm will rival the productivity of other much more complex designs and Gives you nearly a stack of emeralds and over 400 xp for every minute that you use it this farm is also designed so you can run the farm afk if you like by using a macro program to replay your keystrokes in a continuous loop what you see on screen are the only Materials that you’ll need for the build in addition to access to a villager the build itself can take as little as 20 minutes to complete and you might actually spend more time dragging a villager to the farm than you spend building the farm itself if you’d like to go straight to the Build tutorial you can jump to the time displayed on the screen otherwise hang around for a few minutes for some important background information on how this farm works at the bottom of the raid farm we have a lone villager and its job site in this single job site makes up the Village that the raid will be attacking when you approach the village with a bad omen effect the game calls for a wave of raid mobs to spawn which normally occurs at a horizontal distance of about 64 blocks or 32 blocks away from the village center but since we’re in the middle of the Ocean all those spawn attempts will fail and the game will instead attempt to spawn mobs directly over the x and z coordinates of the village center making 20 such attempts with a random 0 to 4 added to the x and z coordinates for each attempt once the x and z coordinates are Selected the raid mobs will spawn on top of the highest block at those coordinates and so this means that the mobs will spawn all the way up at the top of the farm during a raid the game checks for the raid mobs within a distance of 112 blocks from the village center And if it doesn’t find any it assumes that you’ve defeated the wave so it summons the next wave of the raid so here’s the thing the spawning platform is already over 112 blocks away from the village and so after the first wave is called the game thing said you’ve defeated it And so a second wave immediately follows and then the third and so forth until all of the waves of the rage show up on the spawning platform literally within moments of each other once these mobs appear we use a lever to activate a water current to flush the mobs towards the drop shaft Ravagers are too big to fit in the drop shaft but they’re the only mobs tall enough to touch the lava hanging overhead and so they end up burning to death everything else goes down the drop shaft which brings them to just a few hit points shy of death And then you finish them off with a sweeping attack from your sword evokers won’t have the chance to summon vexes when you kill them with one hit but on rare occasions the fall damage for the evoker is reset while going down the drop shaft so that multiple hits are needed to kill Them in these rare situations the boats surrounding the drop shaft will trap the vexes until they die naturally now interestingly the pillars of captains that form part of the raid can give you the bad omen effect if they’re more than 112 blocks away from the village center when they die Which they are in this farm design so when you kill the mobs in the drop shaft you’ll get the bad omen effect again which lets you drop down to the village below and trigger another raid and this goes on and on for as long as you like the farm will be Most productive if playing in hard difficulty because there are more moms and more waves in a raid and you’ll be better off with a looting sword to extract the most out of each kill the player inventory and a single hopper serves as the sorting system for this farm You simply put a single emerald or other stackable item from the farm into each slot of your inventory and hopper and this will automatically filter out all the desired drops from the junk that will be left behind in the drop shaft you can collect over 2500 emeralds this Way before running out of space and this will be roughly enough to buy every single enchanted book that you would need to fully enchant every piece of diamond armor every diamond weapon and every diamond tool in the entire game twice totems of undying are not stackable and So you’ll need to do some manual sorting if you want to collect these but you typically only need maybe a dozen totems once you have enough of these totems set aside any additional totems will basically become junk all right let’s get to building start by finding an open spot in the Ocean at least 70 blocks from any land you can change the render distance temporarily to six chunks as a quick way to verify that there’s no land nearby ideally the build site should be relatively close to a pillar outpost so that you can kill a captain there and Get the bad omen effect it’ll be helpful to have a village nearby as well because you’ll need to abduct one of their citizens later on to start the build pillar up to the ocean surface or start by building off of some kelp or place a lily pad on the surface Then set a block underneath from here pillar up on 153 sand blocks or use scaffolding until your feet are at y 216. at the top of the pillar set down three temporary blocks in any direction other than north and then turn right at the end and add two more temporary blocks Break the temporary block so that the last one is floating on its own and place lava on top of it wait about four minutes for the lava to flow all the way down to the ocean and then pick up the lava source wait for the lava to flow down just a bit so That you can see the sides of the temporary block underneath and then immediately place water on top of the temporary block when you hear the lava converting to cobblestone pick up the water so that you can reuse it later the temporary block covers the hole in the middle of the cobblestone tube that You just made and will serve as both a bubble elevator and the drop shaft for this farm use this temporary block to mark one corner of a 5×5 platform make the outer edge of the platform out of glass blocks and add a dispenser facing up on the opposite corner And fill in the middle with nine solid blocks build glass walls surrounding the platform on all sides so that it’s four blocks high and extend the walls an additional two blocks in height on the walls next to the drop shaft remove the temporary block that covers The drop shaft hole and add a piston so that it will block the drop shaft when it’s extended place three signs to suspend lava over the drop shaft and add a water bucket to the dispenser on the other side now place a torch high on the wall over the dispenser to prevent Spawning on top of the dispenser face now find the northwest corner of this 5×5 platform and write down the x and z coordinates or take a screenshot this is important information that you will definitely need later go back to your scaffolding or pillar and go down by two blocks Fill in the glass wall as you leave and place a solid block next to the piston and two blocks below it add a redstone torch in between so that the torch is sitting directly on top of the solid block and you should hear the piston extend now bridge out on glass blocks Underneath the glass wall so that you run up next to the dispenser add redstone dust next to the redstone torch and an observer facing this redstone dust this short bit of redstone dust is visible from below and tells you that the piston is extended now run a line of redstone dust to Connect the observer with a solid block placed next to the dispenser make sure that you have exactly 11 redstone torches in your hotbar and then pillar your way down as you make a redstone torch tower by adding a solid block every other space with a redstone torch on top of the block Until you run out of redstone torches just one layer lower set down a 5 by 5 frame of glass blocks so that they surround the drop shaft your feet should be at y 191 when standing on this frame open the drop shaft to the right of the Redstone torch tower by removing the two cobblestone blocks in front of you and two more cobblestone blocks below carefully place two blocks down below so that there is a line of three blocks for you to stand on later add a glass block to the right of the Redstone torch and build up the 5×5 frame of glass blocks so that it’s one layer taller and then surround the drop shaft with six boats hop down to the platform that he made a moment ago and confirm that your feet are at y 189 then add a chest overhead and one Inside of the drop shaft at your feet and then feed a hopper into the chest in front of you remove the two cobblestone blocks to the left of the hopper and chest and remove two more cobblestone blocks below jump down and place water inside of the tube for your future bubble column Place four blocks of glass as shown and add three ladders to them go back up and stand under the redstone torch tower and place a trapdoor in front of the chest the hinge for the trapdoor should be on the side furthest from me place a torch on the other side of the Trapdoor to prevent general mob spawning at night now stand on the torch and place a lever on the bottom side of the redstone torch tower and place a gate underneath look up and make sure that you see that the spawning platform is flooded test the lever to make sure that it Opens the gate and stops the flooding of the spawning platform you should also see that the short line of redstone next to the observer light up this indicates that the piston is extended to prevent mobs from dropping down the shaft too early the gate is an engineering control that Ensures that you don’t accidentally leave the spawning platform flooded when you drop down to trigger another raid which would be a problem because the mobs would then have nowhere to spawn a minor issue with this engineering control is that if you accidentally flip the lever back and forth really quickly The flooding of the spawning pad may no longer be synchronized with the closing of the gate if this happens just flip the lever twice again quickly to fix it as a reminder you want the gate to be closed when the spawning pad is flooded so that you don’t accidentally leave If everything is working okay exit through the gate and jump down to the ocean at the base clear out the excess cobblestone and stone that came from the lava and place bottom slabs just under the water surface to serve as a landing pad create an opening to the bubble column And hold the water back with signs place down a soul sand block at the base of the bubble column and plant kelp all the way up if you need a breath of air while placing the kelp bring at least eight torches with you and continuously place them against the Wall by holding down the right mouse button water will flow down to wash these torches away but you’ll replace them fast enough to recharge your breath when you get to the top jump back down and remove the bottom kelp and test out the column to make sure that it’s working Jump back down again and light up the base of the farm with torches to prevent mobs from spawning at night add a job site block at the x and z coordinates that you recorded earlier with the top of the job site just at the water’s surface And keep in mind that your job site location may not match the example that’s shown in this video place three glass blocks on top of the job site and create a trap for the villager by extending the glass blocks out to make a ceiling in the upper half of walls and add Bottom slabs for the floor just under the water’s surface now capture a villager in a boat and ride the boat straight into the trap exit the boat and break it so that you can crouch down and let yourself out and then fill in the bottom half of the Glass wall so that drowns can’t hurt the villager finally place a torch under the sand pillar to break it all down and this finishes your build to start the farm kill a pillager captain at a nearby outpost to get the bad omen effect and then approach the farm in a boat or Fly in with a lytra or come through another portal you just need to enter the bubble column before the boss bar fills up in order for the raid farm to start properly when you reach the top climb up to the platform and move your inventory to the chest overhead With the exception of a sword and some food in your offhand your ideal sword should have sweeping edge and sharpness to make sure that evokers and witches are killed quickly and also looting three so that you can get the most drops and mending would be preferred as well To keep your sword in great shape wait for the horns to finish blaring so that you know that all of the mobs have spawned in flip the lever to flush the mobs to the drop shaft and swing your sword in the gap between the chest and hopper about Once per second until all of the mobs are dead it usually takes about 40 seconds or so to kill off the entire raid it might be tempting to try to rush these kills but the village below actually needs at least 30 seconds of cooldown before another raid can be started So there isn’t much point in trying to make this go any faster just make sure that you attack regularly to kill off any evokers before they can be healed by witches when you’re done flip the lever to open the gate and drop down to do it all over again Any mobs remaining from the previous raid will despawn so that you have a fresh start each time after two rounds of raids and hard difficulty you’ll get enough totems in your chest and personal inventory that you won’t really need anymore set them aside along with any emeralds And other desired items and then toss the remaining junk into the ocean now break the chest so that the hopper has nothing to feed into from now on you’ll use the hopper and your own inventory as a sorting system just place a single stackable item into Each slot of your inventory and in the hopper so that you can only pick up these items everything else will stay inside the drop shaft and will despawn in 5 minutes in the beginning of this video i mentioned that this raid farm can be run afk Now most afk raid farm designs use auto clickers pistons pressure plates redstone timers and other tricks so that the farm can be operated without user intervention to keep things simple this farm relies on a macro to record keystrokes so that we don’t need to build all that other stuff All you need to do is remove the gate while it’s in the closed position and flip up the trapdoor in your game controls turn off auto jump and map the attack and use functions to keys on the keyboard position yourself all the way up against the hopper and trap door and then aim Your mouse in the gap as if you were attacking press f3 and fine-tune the aim of your mouse so that you’re pointing up at about negative 54 degrees and so that you’re facing directly east west or south depending on how you built your farm the angle should be negative 90.0 0.0 Or 90.0 degrees now record one cycle of operating the raid farm using only your keyboard for controls while recording you should keep food in your offhand and hold down the use key while you go up the bubble column to make sure that you don’t starve It can also be a good idea to show your inventory briefly while recording the macro so that you can keep an eye on how many emeralds that you’ve collected when you’re done recording one cycle play back the macro with the same timings taking care not to touch your mouse Check back in a half hour so and if needed stop the macro to manage your inventory before starting it up again i hope you’ve enjoyed this video and may bring you great fortune in a long life at least in minecraft before i go i’d like to remind you to check out the Video description for additional tips and perhaps a few corrections thanks for watching wow hey Oh Video Information

This powerful raid farm is optimized for early game, requiring few materials and only 18 minutes to build (if you know exactly what you are doing), yet the farm can be run AFK and is just as productive as other raid farm designs that are much more complicated. This farm can be upgraded with a Raid Captain Bank, which allows you to run this farm without ever finding a pillager outpost: https://youtu.be/viRZUhC2_zE

Litematica schematic. DO NOT ROTATE. This is not a good substitute for the build tutorial because of the use of lava and kelp to make the bubble column and drop shaft. http://www.mediafire.com/file/fghlg2gowdvra2p/IanXO4%2527s_Raid_Farm_-_DO_NOT_ROTATE.litematic/file
FAQs: “Why do vexes keep killing me?” You need to kill raid mobs in one hit so that evokers don’t summon vexes. The most practical way is to use a sword with sweeping edge enchantment, and make sure that you only attack about once per second. If you do not have an appropriate sword, taking a Potion of Invisibility may be helpful instead. You can also reroll your initial trade with a weaponsmith until you get an iron sword with sweeping edge.
“Why don’t I have many mobs?” Ideally, you should play on hard difficulty. Normal and easy difficulty will also work, but the rates are much lower. Also, make sure that you wait for the horn to stop blaring before flipping the lever so that all the mobs have a chance to spawn.
“Why don’t I have any mobs?” Make sure that the job site has the same X and Z coordinates as the northwest corner of the spawning platform, and make sure that the job site is claimed by your villager. Make sure that the spawning pad is not flooded when you are trying to start the raid. And make sure that you are not playing in peaceful difficulty. Make sure that you do not have land within 69 blocks (cylindrical distance) of the job site, as the raid can spawn there instead of at the farm.
“How do I stop the farm?” Just drop down to trigger a raid (which removes the bad omen effect) and leave.
“I’m still having problems.” Try out the world download or litematica file to check your build. This raid farm may not work perfectly on modded servers. Leave me a comment and I might be able to help.
“I lose the bad omen effect when dropping down to the ocean and a raid does not start.” The village needs at least 30 seconds after the horns stop blaring to cool down before another raid can start. If you try to start another raid too early, the bad omen effect is wasted.
“My raid bar disappears as I go up the bubble column.” The boss bar always disappears when you are far enough away from the villager’s workstation. Watch at 12:25 to 13:05 for an example.

I use smooth stone in this video to make it easier to count blocks, but you can substitute with a different type of solid block (like dirt).
The outer edge of the 5×5 spawning platform is made of glass blocks to prevent spawning of ravagers, which are wide enough to clip into the walls. The torch above the dispenser prevents spawning on top of the dispenser face, which is needed for the same reason.
For each wave, there are 20 attempts to spawn raid mobs at location above the x and z coordinates of the village center, with a random 0-4 added to each coordinate. You would need a 5×5 square to guarantee success of every attempt, but this is unnecessary because there are 20 attempts. Using just 9 solid blocks, like in this design, means that the wave will spawn 99.99% of the time, which is good enough for practical purposes.
Pulover’s, TinyTask, and AutoHotKey are free macro recorders. Gaming keyboards and mice usually come with macro software as well that can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. EssentialClient is a mod that can be used to run macros in-game: https://github.com/senseiwells/EssentialClient
