Hello everybody and welcome back to some more poor craft 3 without Janki Nik once again it’s like the second episode now of the series that we’ve done without Janki Nik but he’s aware right now he’s away doing some exams he broke his leg back in the summer and now has to like Make up for those exams or something like that I wasn’t really paying too much attention when he told me what he was doing but he’s all wait for the time-being which is one of the big reasons why they haven’t been so many for graft videos over the past a week or Two but we’re back we’re gonna do some episodes while Nick is away and before I jump into what I want to work on in today’s episode which is a wee bit of thumb craft I do want to kind of talk over some of the stuff that we’ve done It between episodes and for those of you who don’t watch the streams starting of course with this area over here in the last episode Nick and I threw together a bit of a mess it worked it was like a functional mess but we put together an automatic processor making System that automatically made logic processors and engineering processors and since the end of the last episode I’ve done a little bit of work to try and make this a little bit more efficient make it a little tidier and also to give it the functionality to make these calculation processes as well And so if we head on down under here real quick you’ll see that first of all it’s a lot tidier before it was just like we didn’t hollow it out first and so it was just a complete and utter mess it was just wires everywhere trying to Get things to just work now it’s still a bit of a mess but it’s a little bit less of a mess and it actually it’s just a little tidy you know you can move around you can see what’s going on all that kind of good stuff and the major new Features here are this pulverizer which you can see is being provided with service quartz crystals via this expose those service quartz crystals are being pulverized and placed into the analog crafter which is crafting it with sand which we’re getting as a by-product over actually I said byproduct for getting it As the main product I guess from this pulverizer here those two are then being crafted together into these service quartz seeds which are them in placed into the crystal growth accelerator which doesn’t have any acceleration card City I guess we could put some in there to make this just a little bit faster Pump even without those acceleration cards it is doing a pretty good job at making these pure setters quolls crystals which of course are then being sent up and into this advanced inscribed by which is making it the printed calculation circuits sending them around and turning them into the calculation processes and So now finally we have a fully automated system producing all three of the applied and it just six two processes and the best part is if we take any of these out for example if you want to make some more Emmy drives or we wanted to set up an altar crafting system we Need to use a bunch of these or whenever we take any out they are almost instantly replenished because there’s a backlog of stuff and even if we start to burn through the backlog they’ll of course start to kick into gear and produce more anywhere there is still Room for some more of these acceleration cards a few of the in scribers have them a few of them don’t you know there are still spaces where we can kind of speed up these machines the ssag mill for example i’m is still only using a basic capacitor there’s definitely room there And to make that thing a little bit faster if we need it but for now this is farming away more than we need for our current set-up what else did I do in the stream oh yeah of course over here in the last episode and we Were working on setting up an end portal and me being the turkey that I am i set up the portal but it was incorrect i didn’t put down the end portal frames correctly and I didn’t put the eyes of ender in the correct place and so we had To call the government to come and get it fixed for us thankfully it did get fixed I had to pay a portal fixing fee of $50 but the portal does now work and if we hop on through here real quick I did move our solar panel from the other world Into the end one apparently it is always there time and so we now have a never-ending supply of two hundred and twelve thousand redstone flux per tick you can see it over here in the distance I’m gonna use the staff of traveling I made between episodes as well just to Get there a little bit faster you can see tier four solar array we’ve got a little weird Engadget they’re loading in the chunk on an angel block and then this is our tier 4 solar array providing us with just a ridiculous amount of power it is fan-freaking-tastic and so Now I will head on back over to the gawking jank HQ I mentioned the staff of traveling and you may have seen the fools use this throughout the series we were a little late to the party getting these but essentially for those who don’t know these allow you to instantly Teleport to nearby travel anchors so for example if I wanted to go over to the industrial area I can just right click now form anywhere in the world I don’t have to stand on another travel anchor to get to that travel anchor just right-click and it takes me there And then maybe even more important than that you can use it if you shift right-click you can teleport a short distance and through blocks as well so if I shift my click here it takes me straight through at the glass and puts me on the top which is pretty cool it Makes it a lot easier for me to like get through the glass here we’d have to keep breaking and placing it and you saw me use it over here a little earlier as well it does make life just a little bit easier and when it comes to kind of Getting down and getting back up you don’t have to break blocks and place them and make sure you got the right block all that kind of thing and especially with an area like this you don’t have to make sure that you don’t dig through a block that contains Conduits because now quite a lot of these blocks do can think onto it so that it can become a real mess really quickly but nevertheless I think that is pretty much everything oh no it’s not I have forgotten one last thing which was set up kind of last minute but it’s over Here we’ve set up kind of just a makeshift kind of janky cobblestone of my cobblestone I mean obsidian generate so this thing is a lava stone I cover the exact name of this but somebody in the twitch chat told me about it and a bunch of people in the YouTube comments Have also mentioned it throughout the series it’s a lava infused stone from tiny progressions it’s really easy to make just one bucket of lava and then for hardened stone which you can make by smelting unhardened stone which is just some cobblestone sand clay and iron pretty easy stuff we’ve then got a fluid Placer from actually additions and then a sink from cooking for Blockheads pumping the water in placing the water down the lava stone instantly changes that water into obsidian and then we got a block breaker from open blocks breaking that and putting it into our storage drawer which does have a void Upgrade on it to make sure that we don’t overflow the server with obsidian but we’ve got what 2048 up seeing in there ready to go if and when we need it at some point I’ll probably move this and put it somewhere a little bit more accessible and I’ll probably also put a Storage bus on this storage drawer as well just to make it a little bit more accessible so we can grab the obsidian from within our system and it speaking of storage doors you may have noticed over here we threw down just a little bit of trim right here which is a block From storage drawers that allows you to it kind of act as a storage drawer but doesn’t actually hold anything and we painted that in the the painting table that thing over there that we use the color of our storage drawers and then that is connected up to a draw Controller under here so that we can use one storage bus as opposed to three to all of our processes to the AE system and with that I think that’s pretty much everything that we did between episodes on the stream so let’s get into a little bit of farm craft now to start with Thaumcraft we have to get the thermo nomicon and to get the therm atomic on we have to right-click Salus Monday’s onto a bookshelf and the sellers Mundus is fairly easy to make you can create Seles modernist by taking 3v crystals of different kinds and combining them with Redstone dust and crafting that with a flint and a ball in at the crafting table now as soon as you pick up any of these V crystals in the world you’ll get a message and the chant that looks like this your fingers tingle strangely as you handle the crystal what does it mean Maybe some rest will inspire you essentially telling you that you should sleep thankfully for us it has just turned tonight and so if we sleep in one of our beds here and wake up in the morning we should get a new message in the chat I believe you awakened from a Strange dream you quickly write it down before the memory fades and then here we’ve got a strange dream book I had two strangest dream last night in the dream I took three of these strange crystals I’ve been finding on the ground with a handful of redstone in A ball using a piece of Flint the crystals had to be different types but if I did it properly then the result was a strange glowing dust in the dream I took the dust and sprinkled it on a bookcase but the dream ended before I saw what happened I wonder should I do What the dream shirt hmm all right so if we open this up here and we grab ourselves some Flint we grab ourselves a ball which hopefully we’ve already got we do indeed good stuff a little bit of redstone and then three of these I’ll probably just use the ones We’ve got most of those being aqua and and I think terror and the ones we got most of and that gets us a piece of sailors Mondays and we might as well go and get a couple of pieces of these because we are going to need more than One throughout the course of today’s episode but now if we take one of these and right-click onto a bookshelf that should give us our form anomic on nice so we’ll take that you don’t need all six crystals to get started or technically to get the thumb anomic on But but to get the thermometer which we are going to need fairly soon you do need one of each crystal and so it is kind of a good idea to get one of all six kinds at least one of all six kinds of crystal before you get started here They’re all too hard to find if you fly around and just look in kind of like the ravines and caves they’re pretty abundant all over the place I do think they have an ever so slight tendency to spawn near what their name is so like I found quite A few aqua crystals like underwater I found some of the Ignace crystals near lava the terror crystals and the air crystals kind of seemed to be everywhere and then the older one Patito crystals I had a hard time finding they were a little grabber but they all just kind of Um randomly put us down in caves if you find them so that’s the best information I can give on that if you’re looking to get those yourself but now that we have all of those we can open up our Tama nomicon and the format I work on in Thumb craft six kind of works like a quest book almost in that it gives you a bunch of different steps that you need to progress through and it has a bunch of items that you need to craft and like kind of stages and question to complete Before you can move on into the next steps in the book the first quest that he wants us to do is to make an ark in a workbench and to do that I’m fairly certain that we just need to grab ourselves a crafting table and then right-click again with some sailors Mondays I don’t know if I mentioned it in an episode or not or if I just talked to Nick about it off-camera but I’ve kind of been thinking about setting up like a foam craft area over here on this little like Peninsula of the island maybe like a big old Wizards tower over On this side I think I could look really cool and I put our travel like here as well and called it foam craft this one I’m gonna work in today’s episode I even made sure that our wireless crafting terminal does actually reach all the way over here and so we can craft everything We need without having to go back and forth all the time which should make our lives just a little bit easier and so now if we throw down a crafting table right click with a bit of salus madness it will become and I’ll game workbench Nice so now we’ve got this we can use this just like a normal crafting table if we did something like that’s the whole recipe if we put a lot more crafting recipe in here it would work just fine but we could also do arcane crafting recipes by putting these V Crystals in around these outside slots here specifically I believe the next recipe that wants us to do you’ll see here we can now check this as complete kinda like you would in in any kind of quest book the next quest here wants us to get one observation of fundamentals And to get one thermometer we’re gonna craft this now to craft the thermometer you may have seen earlier I’m pretty sure that it is for golden ingots one glass pin and then one of every single V crystal and so not a glass cover I would Like a glass here in one of those right there and if we do want to three four you in the middle these guys all around the outside we can get ourselves at the moment sup nice now you’ll see it uses 20 V and there is 223 V available I’m Pretty sure that the way that this works is you’ll see we’re down to 203 V if you hold the thermometer and the top right left and you hold shift you could see that we’ve got 203 V in this chunk if I press f9 real quick and show you the Chunk borders I think if I walk to a different chunk we’ll see it go from 203 to 226 if we head on over kind of in this direction I will see you go from 203 to 216 and I don’t know if there’s much you can do about that there might Be some stuff later on down kind of the tree in thaumcraft where you can manipulate the amount of V in the air but for the most part I think it just kind of slowly levels itself out so now that we’ve taken V out of this chunk I Think V from adjacent chunks more slowly but surely kind of move in and level out the amount of V in the area at least that’s how I think it works I’m not entirely sure but I don’t think we have to worry about it too much In today’s episode and all we need to do for now is open up the quest book this is done and what we need to do now is we to observe fundamentals so over here on the Left we’ve got knowledge totals we don’t have anything right now Essentially all we have to do is grab our thermometer and start scanning things you’ll know that you haven’t learned anything from our block and that you can still scan it if it glows blue like this and you’ll see my right-click we have learned something new and then The blue like sparks there they fade and we can no longer learn anything from the glass but it’s looking like a block here we can now learn something from the Birchwood we can scan that and let’s scan like I don’t forget scan the biomes of Plenty stuff but we can definitely Scan vanilla minecraft flash you’ll see there’s a lot of particle effects there and we might be able to scan a little bit of like a torch maybe potentially some gravel some water maybe you’ll see that we got a little point in fundamentals if I open up the Tama Nomicon now we go back over to first steps and we click this nan turtles here you’ll see there are a bunch of different types of observation that we can get and we have one point in fundamentals and so as you go through and you scan more stuff you’ll get more And more points in different things you’ll see like we got a little bit there in arcane infusion we got a little bit in alchemy I think in fact if I go and scan some like sand real quick we might even get a point in alchemy and we Are gonna need that point in alchemy because we need to get started with a little bit of alchemy in today’s episode nothing new disk and maybe hmm I’m not quite sure maybe I can scan this little cow here nothing new can be learned from this mmm I’m Pretty sure we can scan normal vanilla animals in fact let me head on over to Burger town real quick if we scan our cows and sheep I think we will learn some new stuff there that’s something new and then that’s also something new maybe this guy nope nothing there let’s do some leaves Maybe a fence nothing new there it looks like I can scan tall grass how close are we to a point in fundamentals for alchemy we’re pretty close but not quite K yeah but nevertheless we can go ahead and click complete on this quest like so they’ll go ahead and complete that and unlock The new research down here so alchemy and for this it wants us to get another research point in alchemy and another research point in fundamentals you’ll see that completing that quest did take away one of our research points at end of fundamentals there we also have this One over here which just tell us about all the types of knowledge and then finally and we’ve got this one theory crafting because there are two kinds of research that you can do in fawn craft six one of them is this research that we’re doing right now you know walking Around scanning things trying to learn new things just by scanning items in the world the other one is research using paper and ink and that’s the type of research that we’ll get to in a second for now what I’m going to do guys I’m gonna go away real quick I’m gonna scan A couple more items try and get at that new point in alchemy I’ll be back in a second to get ourselves our first cauldron and see about whipping up some nicer okay so really not too long letter and we now have enough points I’m just Gonna scan a few more things yes I think yeah some of these things I do have quite a lot in them which is quite nice but now we have our extra point in alchemy we can go ahead and complete that there and now we have what it takes To make a crucible so again if I’m not mistaken all we need to do here is grab some iron make a vanilla cauldron like so quickly teleport over to our thumb craft area whack this guy down and if we right-click with a little bit of Salus Mundus it should turn into Across the ball nice now the way this works by default is that we can put a heat source beneath it the easiest one for us to do here I think is going to be just netherrack and a flint and steel so let’s grab a piece of netherrack I’m Fairly certain we should have a full in and steel already we do indeed good stuff let’s throw this guy down right about there put the fire underneath like so and then we do it to fill this up with water again I’m fairly certain we should have oh we don’t have a bucket of Water that’s fine we are right next to the ocean and so if we just quickly grab a bucket of water we can throw that into the crucible and it will begin bubbling at which point we can actually start to throw some stuff into that cauldron and Try and make some cool stuff happen so let me open up the book here again we can take that complete and now from back out you’ll see we have a new tab here on the Left alchemy and we can begin working it through another kind of Questing tree in in this page here so basically gives us I think a couple of recipes specifically yellow Knight saw a bunch of different colors of knights or we can make V crystals these gonna be quite important here we can make glass files we can make essential filters and We can make a morphic resonators the V crystals are pretty interesting oh and apparently we’re setting fire here let me put that out real quick but the V crystals are pretty interesting because it means that we don’t have to go back down mining to find more of those Crystals that we already have for now if I want to make for example some more of these Ignace crystals all I would need to do is throw one quart silver into a crucible that has two Ignace in it and we would get back a V crystal so let me See here I think a torch might have what we need in it so if i shift-click on a torch a torch doesn’t have Ignace in maybe coal will it doesn’t say that coal contains anything I’m fairly certain that cold does contain Ignace let me see Here if I drop first of all let me get some of those quartz Silver’s and those just made by dropping my craft quartz I do nice so I’ll take some what solvers will drop this in here I didn’t do anything huh really the coal doesn’t have anything that is Interesting let me see here can I find something potentially it doesn’t show you in applied energistics like when they’re in there doesn’t show you what they have you have to pull them out to be able to see what they’ve got I’m very surprised maybe charcoal might have something in It even though nothing we’ve got a okay netherrack it says our nether AK has both Ignace and a little bit of terror as well it’s got seven in total so we’ve got more than enough of these quartz bitsy I’m gonna chop down this tree because I think it’s gonna be easier Than constantly putting those fires out there we go so now if we drop a little bit of netherrack into our crucible it’s going to turn a bit of a funny color and I think if I look at it with my thermometry might even tell me what’s in There oh it doesn’t I think we might need the goggles is revealing for that maybe but anyway we can now drop in our caught silvers and we should get a bunch of different V crystals back we got some terror crystals I think that should be some bigness in there still although That’s not giving me anything hmm I think you can shift right click to empty it out if you were if you don’t want anything to do with it anymore but I really thought that would give me some Ignace as well because of the fact that it’s still got five Ignace in there Maybe not maybe that’s used everything up either way we can shift right click to empty that out and I think the next thing that I want to make is a little bit of night on now we want to make Knights or we need to throw in one glowstone dust with ten potentia ten Ignace and ten or looks hmm I’m not quite sure we’re gonna do it for that I know we can get Ignace from never lacquer and we know that we can get looks from torches I think potential might be in a red stone and I used to Use coal for this yet so ten potential in redstone is real easy the torches here do contain five Ignace and by finding this I mean five looks and so we can take two of those and then I guess we’ll take quite a bit of netherrack it’s not the most efficient Way of doing it because it’s only two Ignace per netherrack cuz we’re gonna have to put five of those in but I think here let me grab that glowstone as well that if we do something like this and we throw in five netherrack one redstone two torches and a Gloucester it should Give us an itok nice and then my idea here is that we throw in these quartz Silver’s and it should give us a couple of V crystals mostly the idea here is to get as much of the excess V out of the crucible because the more stuff that you have in The crucible when you shift right-click the clear in the more flux you put in the air you can see that nasty stuff they’re like dissipating out and you really want to try and keep that banned flux to a minimum and the more of that stuff that you have in the air the more Bad stuff starts to happen but we do have an eyesore which is essentially just like a possible torch of horrible light source that you can place down anywhere in the world but also a very hot light sauce you can put down beneath your crucible like so And that will act as a heat source for the crucible going forward which is quite nice and I guess in theory here I should put down an unlimited water source right next box we suppose so we don’t have to keep walking backwards and forwards every single time you want to Get a new bucket of water like so nice so now we’ve got a little bit of alchemy set up the next thing that I want to work on here is all oh man see now to unlock all Romancing we need to visit the lowest depths of the world and also Visit the highest peaks you can find so I’m fairly certain here that all we have to do is kind of fly quite high up and just kind of hover up here for a little bit I think that will indeed unlock that little bit of research there and then The other thing that we need to do is head on down and I think just touch bedrock for a little bit I think if we head on down and have our player twitch bedrock it should go ahead and trigger that I think I thought of is necessarily faster using the staff of traveling There but if we hang around down here for a little bit you’ll see we’ve now visited the deepest depths of the world and so now we can back up to and jack HQ and if we pop up in the quest book and we’ll see the bat is complete Nice now this next quest is where things start to get really interesting for me personally we get to get ourselves a cast as a gauntlet as well as a V resonator now there are no one’s in thaumcraft 6 you no longer craft wants to cast spells but this cast has gone But here essentially does the same thing so we need a V resonator and it casters gauntlet I’m gonna head on back over here cuz I’m fairly certain that the both of those require the arcane workbench so V resonator requires one air crystal at one aqua crystal and one Iron plate and then one never quartz now do we have an easy way of making iron plates also do we have any iron plates or we do nice and we also need one quartz and our crystals of course are already in here so if we go boom and Boom we get ourselves a V resonator nice and now if we look up at the recipe for the caster gauntlet this guy right here we need three iron fall ever one thermometer and then one V resonator so we are gonna have to get another thermometer thankfully they are not too Hard to make what else a tiny here iron was it at the top I think so something like this with this and this and the V resonates up nice look at this thing right here oh yeah look at that first way that we like a Fan of gloves I love it so now that we have time that should go ahead and a complete this quest right here it didn’t eat good stuff and again that should unlock a new tab in the follow nomicon it does and so here the next item it Wants us to make is the blank lesser focus and this is essentially the beginning of those creating our own spells that we can cast with the caster’s gauntlet so this thing is made in the crucible with 20 Trias 24 can TR and 5 sorry tempo can’t hear and 5 or am I think is how it’s pronounced with 1v crystal so let me quickly see here if I can find the most efficient way of getting those three aspects in the fewest amount of items possible okay so a little while later and it turns out the diamonds have a little bit of Vitriol in them the 15 in total so if we take two of those as well as some arcane workbenches which contain both for cancer and the Orem required just a quick heads-up before we go forward for those of you want do this as well and you can find out which items contain Which aspects through jei at least in for craft 3 which is quite nice you can flick through these pages here and see what you need quite a lot this stuff we didn’t have which makes it a little bit tricky and I’m fairly certain that this is probably not the most efficient way Of doing this but if we go ahead and throw in two of you and two of you and what was the final item I needed and order a crystal which I think we have in here you do have to be quick because the V does disappear over time but it looks Like we were just fast enough because that one got it’s the blank lesser focus again I’m gonna throw in some more of these quartz Silver’s just to try and soak up as much of that excess V as possible then we did get rid of pretty much everything which is nice so let’s Fill that up again real quick we’ll probably want to make more than one of these focuses in the future maybe I can get more no I think we’re all out although I did get more did I get more man I did get more right oh I can nice Okay let me keep going so I want to make sure we get as much of the the excess oh no I wanna get as much of the excess out of that as possible there we go okay nice it’s also a good way of getting individual aspects because now if we Need more vitreous in the future we could throw in you know if we needed for example – vitreous we could throw these two in it’s not the most vitreous in the world but as time goes on we get more and more of these V crystals it should become Easier and easier for us to get exact measurements for all of our stuff which is quite a nice so I put all these away for now so they don’t take up too much space in our inventory and I think in the quest book here the next thing it’s Going to want us to make is the focal manipulator yeah this thing right here as well as examine fire very closely so I think for that it wants us to actually walk into fire you have felt the touch of flame oh look at that nice so yeah I Think that is that part complete it also wants us to make a focal manipulate or what do I need for that I need to get to I’m plates one arcane stone slab to arcane stone which is just done and I think any V crystal will do yet it Doesn’t specify which one you require the slabs of course pretty simple recipe another V resonator two golden ingots and then one stone table and again not too long later we have ourselves a focal manipulator nice so I’m gonna put this thing down in a different chunk real Quick just to make sure we’ve got enough V in the air to actually make this lesser focus into something because right now we’ve used quite a lot of the V in this area you can see way down to 90 oh it’s coming back quite quickly it Was at 40 in maneger so you can see all the V from the adjacent Chuck’s moving in I think we finds put this down here for now and this is where things get pretty cool so now what we can do is we can actually begin to build our own Custom spell almost I’ll go ahead and click complete on this not should I think unlock a couple of these here oh it almost does we need to find at gallim and we also need to find oh wait our first theory pointed allomancy alright alright so I think for This just scan this together to work I think I believe sir because the research is no longer doing at least a research on these items is no longer done in the research table I think we might be able action if I just type in this right I’ve been Gilliam tell them however that’s Pronounced and we look at the the items here it does want ice is there an easy way for us to make ice we could use a glace your precipitates I think I will do that actually let me make a glace you’ll precipitate so real quick which I Don’t think it’s gonna be very hard for us to do we’d see the Machine frame which is just missing one of those 10 gears I really wanna get this stuff ultimate ‘soon I think I’d be one of the first things we do when Nick gets back But if we grab this guy and we quickly grab a bucket of water so we can actually make our first block of ice I’m fairly certain I’m quite confident that if we scan a piece of ice it should go ahead and give us one of those jelly on Points so let’s put in let’s change that to ice real quick like so I stopped in some water let this guy do its thing and then if we take that out throw it on the floor and then quickly hung craft another thermometer because ours is gone I’m hoping that will give us maybe just maybe the point that we need let me check it nice we can complete that and now we need to complete at this one over here the focus for projectile so actually we might not need to do that Honestly like I do want to do it because I wanna be able to create spells that are projectile spells but for now if we head on back over at to our fore court’ manipulator here and we put in our blank lesser focus and we’ll see that we can Begin crafting a spell and so the first thing we have to do is decide what we want our spell to do how we can create an air spell it creates a blast of air that knocks things back but only causes minor damage we can create an earth Spell hell’s a blast of Odin’s shrapnel that causes significant damage and may break weaker objects a fire spell which holds flame at your targets and set some alight and then finally a frost spell which throws chilling cold at your targets causing them damage and freezing It it freezes water and it will slow it down creatures island sound a fire here you also decide how you want your spell to be cast right now we only have touch so essentially if I open up the Thummim Omicron again over here on the right we have things like projectile we have Things like bolts we have arcane missile and we’ve got plan we’ve got exchange these are all ways that we can cast spells so touch for example I have to right-click and touch something to cast the spell you know so if I wanted to for example set Nick on fire I would have to Walk up and right-click on Nick with my gauntlet and the spell attached to the gauntlet to set him on fire if I wanted to stand a little bit further away I would need to unlock projectiles here which we could do probably quite easily by getting this auto mansi theory Complete and then I’ll be able to fire a projectile from further away to set take on fire okay in mine I believe is like when you want to die say missiles earlier I’ve been playing too much hearthstone I can mine essentially allows you to dig I believe so if you Want to dig with your gauntlet you could use that bolt I believe is kind of like projectile but it just kind of fires it out in a line it doesn’t quite shoot it in the way the projectile does plan allows you to place like little mines on The floor and so if someone walks over them it will then trigger the effect and set them on fire freeze them you know give them the debuff heal them if you want you can do some positive effects as well drink them and then exchange I think kind of works like the Exchanges that we’ve been using up until now I think I do kind of want to get the projectile here and so let me quickly craft up the things required for a little bit of research I think the first thing that we need is a research table Which I believe is just a wooden table from farm craft with a book and quill placed on top of it and so if I do this we can get ourselves a wooden table we also need scribing tools these guys right here fairly easy to make it’s just An ink sack or some black tie do you have any black dye we do I’d rather use that as opposed to using the organic black dye form and Rayo that stuff’s a lot harder to make we also need a glass file here which is some glass and a Clear pretty easy stuff I’ll make a few of those because I think we are gonna be more in the future again I’m gonna swap that out real quick for some of this flour black powder because we’ve got just so much more of the stuff and so Now I think if I place this guy down right about here and I place these scribing tools on top let’s you get us a research table nice now I’m not quite sure if that’s going to go ahead and complete the the quest over here for the Research table oh it is nice we’ll go ahead and complete that and now this is going to start to teach us about research so let me quickly grab a little bit of hip up and throw that in to here you wanna make sure you’ve got scribing tools in the top-left those will slowly But surely get used up as we start to do more research as well as some paper on the right now I kind of want to do some research in regards to our romance’ and so what I’m going to do here is I’m going to click on the focal manipulate So you can see you can kind of select kind of the general area that you want your research to be in by clicking on one of the items below here so far we’ve got alchemy and all we might say I’m gonna click on all amounts a I’m gonna Click create theory now before I do that I’m gonna type in some nonsense into any eye because there is some stuff pop up over here on the right so let’s create the theory and the way this works is you click on the left here and it gives you two different options We’ve got spellbinding on the left and we’ve got our reactions on the right you’ll see both of these use one light bulb you start with seven light bulbs the top here yeah seven light bulbs we used one of them on selecting that allomancy selecting the focal manipulator and so now let’s go with Spellbinding that gave us a few points in our mansi we want to get to a hundred percent and essentially we could do experimentation that will give us fifteen to thirty progress in random categories didn’t really give us all you want but that’s fine next we’ll go to spellbinding again Because we want more in all events he where possible and then finally i guess we can go ahead and pond it again twenty five progress divided evenly between our current things that’s gonna take us up to fifty nine percent in autumn and say at which point we can complete our Theory we didn’t quite get to a hundred percent and we’re also being attacked by a zombie which is not the ideal position that i want to be in let’s just get rid of that guy real quick put those points do carry over and so now if we look in Here and we look at our knowledge turtles over here you’ll see that we stuck an observation and down here we’ve got almost a full point in our mansi theory and so all we need to do is again jump into the research table i’ll click this again why not click create theory Let’s go awareness let’s go I don’t really want eldritch sound reject eldritch will clear that out I’ll go spell binding again I gave us another twenty five I don’t really want to rethink but I don’t think we have any of these two crystals and slide well we Think I guess we always look few points in our minds ever that’s fine let’s go inspired we’re gonna get twenty all enhancing let’s go to spiritual focus inspired and completely right and there we go we got a point in or a man saying now that might have seen a bit That might have seemed a bit random and it kind of was like I wasn’t reading through all of those I didn’t know what each one did but I knew which ones gave me all of ansi points you can kind of get a feel I should do more of this you Kind of get a feel for which ones give you the points that you want in each category and the ones that have items at the bottom also require you to have those items in order to complete them but now we’ve got that point in all oh Man see we should be able to go ahead and unlock this thing over here we can it’s kind of allowing us to choose where we want to spend our all emergency point and so now that we have that if we come on back over to our focal manipulator we just kind of picked This up put it back in we’ve never the option to make a projectile and I will make a fire projectile you’ll see over here on the right because we’re using a lesser focus we’ve only got 15 complexity points to work with right you’ll see touch is I think a bit less Complex and I want to get rid of that I think touch yet so it chooses to complexity points whereas projectile uses four and then if we click fire down here at the bottom you’ve got two options the duration of the burn going all the way up to five seconds we can’t Do it but it takes up a lot of our complexity and then the power of the burn are going all the way up to five as well that also uses a lot of complexity you can see if we wanted to have a power five burn that lasted for five seconds We don’t quite have enough points for that I think I’m gonna go for a slightly less powerful but longer burn so that takes up all 15 points less for five seconds and gives us a power of three and so now I think if we click on the Start crafting to all there you also see it requires 153 V we don’t quite have that in the area right now we’ve got 151 but again it will slowly pull it from other chunks as well and so we should be good to start crafting this and I’m missing something here Oh of course yeah we need to get one mortis crystal and one Ignace crystal sir to do that we need to get mortis which I don’t think we have yet oh my we’ll do a quick check we don’t it’s not more is it mortis is that the one it Requires motives not martyrs of course okay so mutters crystal we don’t have any but we should be able to get some if we throw in an item that has murders and then add in those quartz crystals looking at the list here I think that an Oak butt is going to be the easiest one for us to do so let’s grab some oak planks craft up a but make sure that we’ve got enough of these quat’s slivers I keep calling those Silver’s but they’re not the quad slivers and so I’ll Grab some of those we will throw in some water I’ll throw it in a boat as soon as it starts to bubble like so drop that in drop in all of these slippers boom we got ourselves quite a few were quite a few shots there again can we put there More in here again I’m not quite sure if we can keep doing this or not can I put more water in to keep it going I cannot so we might have got all of the we can out of here and I think if there’s an odd number maybe it won’t Work because it does require two mortars to make one mortars crystal or two of the v2 like one crystal so it’s not necessarily a one-for-one trade you do lose a little bit of magic in there and so I think the reason that there’s still a little bit Of water in there is because there’s not necessarily I’m an even number with all that we threw in but nevertheless now that we’ve got that let me quickly grab an Ignace crystal out of here and if we use one of each of those we should be Able to go ahead and start crafting nice and this is gonna give us a really cool animation here where the the crystals spin around the focus creating our very first spell nice we didn’t name it which is not the best maybe I can invite an anvil or something later but now if we Go on over to our gauntlet and by default the key is after up it’s not menu here we could select our spell and now we can send out boom with right-click a projectile of fire pretty cool right and it’s more powerful than regular fire like it lasts longer the Normal fire wood and it deals more damage than regular fire wood and essentially what we can do now is going forward we can make more spells you can make more complex spells we can set up a focus pouch which I think we’re close to being able to do this thing right here Which whoa we can actually go ahead and complete that and yeah let’s do it let’s complete that and that’ll give us the ability to make a focus pouch which essentially allows us to keep all of our spells in one place and still access them whilst pressing F but we don’t have To have like ten spells in our arsenal so we could craft up a bunch of different spells and then hold down F to switch between them and then just like you know when Nick gets back on just fire some frost I didn’t burn him you Know heal him a bit to be nice then rip open the floor beneath him and make him fall down a couple blocks it’s gonna be a ton of fun but for now guys I’m gonna go ahead and wrap up today’s episode there for today just as soon as I said Bomb calm its we thought you’d lost you man hold on hold on a second I was gonna set this falls on fire in just then but hold on now let me get a lead real quick I need to take this guy actually no well let me get a Lasser really at last so Instead just to make sure this guy does not get away Nick and I thought you were dead we were scared to death my freaking goodness give me that glass er Ron calm get the heck in here my friend it’s been it’s been too long it’s been too long but we’ve got one Calm now let me go and use this I guess on one of our testing villages real quick just to see how well of a job it does at burning people I won’t use a named villager so I’m not gonna do on you doc I’m fairly sir look happy villagers in That building I also don’t to do it near a building but if I find an unnamed villager they need to need to watch out because they are done for oh yeah look at that look at that I don’t know Fitz go do enough damage it’s really quite my damage again we Could throw another one like we’re not limited really on how much we can throw those out and we are limited by how much V is in the air and so we can’t throw out too many but there’s more than enough be in the air to handle our little
