After uploading Episode 51 I realized it would be a good idea to test the remaining steps needed to put the roadmap onto the surface, using a duplicate of the map.
I’m glad I did because it showed I was doing this step wrong.
I thought the lot markers were unnecessary at this point and also that I could leave all of the empty space, well… Empty. That’s false. The entire area of the roadmap needs to be painted onto the surface if I’m going to finish within a reasonable amount of time. The process I used in Episode 51 will take three times as long to get the roadmap onto the ground. No thanks!
That’s why I’m back on the very next day to make the final episode of the season. Rather than waiting a week I’m doing this now so that the contrast between the two ways of working are more apparent. The amount of work I can accomplish during this episode will help me calculate the time I’ll need to paint the entire roadmap onto the surface.
Because I’m demonstrating the task in real time and with no edits there will be a lot of static images during this episode while I wait for the game engine to update the graphics. If any episode of this series aspires to be cited as “Most Likely To Bore You To Sleep” then I think this one will easily win that title.
