Minecraft: Late – Alone at Work

Thank you oh my we actually have like a PS1 style intro screen how cool is that hello everyone and welcome back once again to Minecraft look there’s even a car moving down below and today the map we’re going to be trying out is a horror map titled late

And that’s about all I know for a better experience please lower your brightness turn up your volume and stay in first person Can do hello oh my look at my skin oh my some old 1800s man typing away perhaps getting my Affairs in order because I know I’ve angered some evil spirit are we actually able to read these documents no it’s really quite dark and I did not open those doors oh listen to that

That ghostly voice echoing down these cavernous corridors where even am I oh this is playing out like a classic old style ghost story um maybe I should turn my brightness up a little more I think it’s probably on the minimum right now but oh my God

This is simply not an image I expected to be possible no go away go away go away I am incredibly lucky this door was open I was just backing away in Terror I couldn’t open it before wow okay I don’t know if that’s actually when this take place takes place but

This feels like 1880s 1890s like it’s giving me Vibes of like Amnesia um Amnesia Machine For Pigs and that might be the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen in Minecraft the real Horror in this comes from just seeing images you didn’t think you could see nothing here now um It’s actually a pretty nice voice acting foreign but it was all a dream this is the modern day oh there’s a weird perspective and it’s not even the RTX Edition going to work in the big city I guess I wonder if this is a nightmare about the building we work in since it

Certainly looks like it could fit the bill oh my God I can’t believe this is Minecraft you guys are probably sick of me saying that in these Minecraft maps but seriously a big part of these is just how mind-bending it is to even see these things in a game that I’m so familiar

Now with a resume like that Landing this job was a slam dunk I bet well this place has a bar and everything uh with a spill that this bartender is seemingly refusing to clean up ah come on Thomas it’s too early to start drinking now you should take a few days off

Did you read that article about the Haunted Mansion yeah horrible fake news probably I bet no one’s going to investigate it yeah nobody right you remember those well that’s just enough detail for it to never come back you look tired Thomas how are you I look tired

Okay where am I going I played my colossal creeper doing 15 points of damage game over they made custom models for this just for this little interaction right here what about you Thomas was that you had a rough night too many monsters under your bed maybe I just have to take the elevator

There we go oh that is trippy I I assume they’re doing that thing uh that old style 3D trick where there the room on the opposite side is just mirrored but that’s still really weird you can even see there’s a little bit of lag nonetheless impressive though

Uh early morning ready to start the day a giant switch on the wall that looks surprisingly medieval for a place like this Amy Grace Mark Krueger just the man I wanted to see finally Thomas it’s been half an hour you better have that report I’ve asked

You to get the report uh oh oh the the report it’s it’s on my desk I’ll go grab it all right once again Thomas this cannot go on if I don’t have this report in the next hour I won’t mind replacing you for your sake I hope it’s better than the last one

Well this guy is already instantly hateable uh his voice sounds kind of familiar I wonder if it’s somebody I would know it’s in my office I need to print it okay great my office which is somewhere on this floor I’m starting to realize why my job is in danger

Howdy oh hello Mr Goodman hi that’s a good thing you told me my last name otherwise I wouldn’t have known which office was mine get in and grab our reap report that will never not be disconcerting to me you know what it is it’s the slight input lag

It’s just something about my brain just knows that can’t actually be a reflection uh and between this and our kitchen table and it looks like we’ve got some problems even before this and there we are nodding off at our desk we had literally one job well now we have no job

Shoot the report court but but it’s dark out what I’ve slept all day Krueger wanted ages ago he’s gonna be mad I’ll say dude it was morning when you showed up you actually managed to sleep through the entire day that’s incredible I think the elevator still operates this time of night

The blinds are all closed and for some reason on the outside of the glass janitor slacking off probably slept for as long as I have can I explore their offices they’re leaving a lot of spilled drinks around did something happen to me or did something just happen to everyone else

Well all their blinds are closed for the night foreign I was just about to comment on how Eerie the silence was who’s there the janitor maybe or Mr Kruger didn’t come from here nor here perhaps that janitor is still around at least the elevator is still working

What happens if I try to take the emergency stairwell no all right going down no no no no no no no no no oh just what I need oh that’s not good that shouldn’t be able to happen and in any properly up to code building what am I doing here something the janitor

What’s what’s wrong with oh my God hey anybody here help oh god what happened yeah what did happen uh well if we’re expected to operate in the slight level I think I need to increase my brightness again huh okay so janitor’s been murdered he was telepathic but I guess he couldn’t

See this coming or do anything to avert it and been stuffed with me into a closet full of mannequins so whatever’s going on here I’m not the only one to experience it although I am close find one of these freaking phones maybe uh maybe the security cameras okay that seems a little overly

Complicated why do I need the security cameras to get access to a phone here we go let’s have a look at those sneak to change view oh we actually do have a little bit of control over this nothing there although this place is totally trashed I mean they weren’t the best about

Cleanliness before and also apparently these security cameras are battery operated but this doesn’t look like a normal level of debris Wait oh no I thought there was somebody over there but I think that’s just a plant wait oh wait and it’s kind of hard to see in the dark but hang on go back go back back yes yes yes yes yes there’s someone moving but there was something else as well I thought I saw somebody sitting down in one of the offices like a small child or something like sitting on the floor I I noticed it just as I switched away that’s right out here something was moving around out here and it’s not like I actually know where

I’m going even if I have located one of the phones Was that just the way like the pixels jittered or did that paper just slide out I’m just taking things slow bounding through the cubicles so as to not accidentally run into any triggers we might trigger the thing we want to do is that here here here uh call a friend call the police

Uh call a friend I guess no how do I choose pick up Antoine pick up just get the heck out of here I sure do stay quiet Now you’re scaring me are these actual mechanics or are these just dialogue all right make our way to the elevator

Even if it didn’t help us out very much last time Who can even say if our experience with that was real although it was certainly real for the janitor the one person who could get that area unlocked or maybe just felon hit a set or something and now he’s haunting the place you saw that right on the right side

And just take the stairs back the other way what about the air vents uh those are for air not people I don’t think they’d support your weight and also it’s bizarre that it’s the first thing you think of there’s literally an emergency exit stairwell right there janitor again that’s what you’re thinking

You’re thinking that this won’t help you much not that it just turned itself on inexplicably to be honest I can’t be mad I feel like this is a lot what like what I would be like if I were in the situation maybe over here in the bathrooms

And it took me a second to load into that mirror there oh no here we go in Minecraft checking each of the bathroom stalls just what I need these doors are a little awkward what even was that was that because I got Close to the Mirror like something was supposed to

Happen if I looked directly into it I’m glad I missed any visuals that might have been present um maybe we can get it to happen again no I’ve been wandering around for like five ten minutes I literally don’t know what it wants me to do it says maybe the air

Vent but what air vent oh it was right here that is so annoying I cannot see that at all oh God that pisses me off so much uh it took such a long time I’m not 100 brightness right now let’s get through there uh where we can keep moving come on no

Where are we even trying to navigate to whatever that guy is is still out there okay uh this way then yes this is where I want to be now it’s absolutely not where I want to be somebody picked it up okay this thing is messing with me and I need to know why

Why am I alive and the janitor isn’t The bad actually do I keep getting jump scared by these doors disappearing I turn the electricity back on what did I just do man we got a whole storage closet full of these things and I honestly don’t understand what an office building like this would even need a bunch of mannequins for

Unless they’re pulling something up in office prank on me I don’t know why I thought that would work it’s the same elevator dude You you’re the one that I saw sitting on the camera before you were sitting here waiting for me I thought that was a face Okay mannequins not entirely on alive all right so first will be me then it’s gonna be the room at the end of the hall all the way at the end so we come out here and make a left into the conference room or not what would be the equivalent to the conference room

Right here uh you’d be three right it’s in here Yeah on some level I anticipated that although this less so guys you can’t scare me with your subtle moving around you’ve already jump scared me and where’s for for uh it would be over by the elevator right that’s the one we saw on our way in and Powers

Stored at least for the time being but it sounds like someone else may have arrived on the scene oh that lighting cast it in such an ominous light I thought it was like some kind of big robot thing standing at the end of the hall look it’s doing that thing where like

When you tell scary stories and you hold the flashlight under your face okay well the emergency exit stairwell is open now which should not have required power that seems like a very tremendous safety oversight Okay I guess that was me getting pushed down the stairs Just let me out I saw my attacker for a second I didn’t get a great look but honestly my first thought was Slappy from uh Goosebumps key card reader will we have to find the card or honestly I don’t even know what I’d even do here I have no objective now all I

Can do is wander aimlessly and try and figure out a way out of here find something that might help me sorry didn’t realize it was occupied foreign Oh my God I actually just had my heart skip a few beats because a skeleton popped out this must be the key card though if there’s no power on on this floor though that doesn’t help me although there is light emanating from this room all right let’s go let’s go let’s go

Just how far down are we though I don’t know oh there’s something in here with me isn’t there I think I just saw something move I think I just saw a shadow moving between the rows it could have just been the way I was moving but

No I think it’s like to say there’s something in here no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no I knew what I was supposed to be doing here stopped moving my view around

We threw me through let me through let me through let me through I must have to come around no no yeah I’m gonna go with jump out the window jump out the window definitely jump out the window seems like I have few choices in this very moment Well never mind uh I guess I did have a choice and I made the right one and now I’m in the garbage room is the ghost trying to tell me something right off of the garage after everything else we’ve experienced this seems too good to be true foreign with me

But I I just can’t stop uh he’s here the cars might save me oh that’s what that was it’s introducing the mechanic of hiding under cars oh this is going to be a patrolling enemy segment isn’t it hi uh get under okay so if I approach the cars I can hide underneath them

How will I know when to do so but yeah as I was saying oh come on I can crawl into the cars but I can’t crawl under here that water slows me down against all logic but yeah as I was saying before uh I just can’t stop thinking about why the

Janitor is dead and yet this thing is seemingly doing everything it can to keep me alive why am I the plaything and just why is it inhabiting this office in particular this is an extremely large parking garage with extensive damage from the look of it

Of course no come on push push push and push push push well that was surprisingly easy I don’t know what I needed the cars for and come out on this side this elevator is not going to work there’s no chance this room it’s kind of my Safe Haven

It’s well lit it’s small it’s enclosed only two entrances which I can see from over here and there’s the promise that in the morning the elevator will start working again and I can take it up to the first floor really tempting to stay here but given the nature of this being

Something tells me that won’t work out I think it knows where I am at all times that’s my current prevailing Theory and you know actually now that I think about it I’ve been talking about how the office was messy before but it shouldn’t have been this messy

And all of these cars are still here it’s entirely possible that the janitor is not the only one that was killed just the only one that I found oh my God there’s someone on the ground we have to try to talk to him we need information well that could have gone better

Push oh no uh curse these hands and their inability to pull can we get over here come on just push that in and then Crouch and then no foreign wait maybe we can puzzle this out no it’s not gonna work come on man it’s right there look I feel

You I have bad knees too but this isn’t really hard like there’s no way to solve this there’s nowhere where there’s only one thing that I can push there’s nothing free You know I’m starting to think that figure actually looks a little bit like Mr Krueger oh because I’m pretty sure it’s actually extremely easy to get yourself into a stuck State oh so there was actually a monster okay well after all that it’s kind of impossible for me to be scared now unfortunately

But man that was quite a different thing from what we’ve been seeing I’ve been back here for like two seconds and this thing has gotten me like three times already so I don’t know if it was just bugged before so let me in now is it always walking around or Or does it just periodically spawn in all right well one bright side we’re actually getting this segment now I don’t know come on get out it’s so weird that that thing actually has human sounding footsteps all right get in see this time I ran basically clear across the entire thing but it didn’t get me it didn’t even come close until the end so that felt very very luck based

All right now let’s move you out of the way see it seems like right here if I were to push this thing forward like even if I didn’t maneuver correctly coming in here I could push this thing in front of the door and if it won’t go through I could

Just break the map right now and remember in order to get this working again I had to reinstall the map there’s no like saving or loading or anything okay now how can we go about doing this okay now we can knock you there knock you come please tell me there’s a checkpoint at

That room okay good you will eventually come for me though that guy’s gone now I want to knock you out that way you have that way you out this way and you out this way finally God uh good thing that happened jeez it was literally easier than not to break that entire puzzle

God did that like never come up and play testing all right it’s gonna move on that thing in the garage was entirely different from what we were seeing upstairs I was actually starting to suspect that whatever was happening here might have something to do with Mr Krueger

Are they aware of something going on at the building Foreign [Applause] I was placed in a padded cell He lost his mind it was a danger to himself and others foreign that’s it no come on there’s got to be more than that there’s got to be some kind of answers for what was going on there I was so curious So I’ve actually gotten as far as being pretty much done editing everything you’ve seen thus far and I happen to be reading the comments for the mod on the download page and people are actually saying that there’s multiple endings now they couldn’t agree on exactly how many they were I saw answers ranging

From three to seven but that’s really interesting it didn’t say anything about that in the description but it does actually make a lot of sense since there were times where we were called upon to make decisions so let’s wake the janitor up and we’ll see what some of those are good morning

And I could swear I mean granted I had my brightness down further yesterday but I feel like he didn’t have the x’s on his eyes and there was like a blood stain or something on his head this is also what he looked like when I went through the second time after I got

Stuck in the garage so I don’t know what that’s about but it’s a little bit weird foreign of every decision so this time we’re going to call the police instead of our friend Antoine nine one one he’s still here get the heck out of here yeah now I’d

Imagine that doesn’t actually make very much difference and we called Antoine the first time and in the end the police still showed up anyway but otherwise besides who I tried to call this played out exactly the same way so let’s head over to the vents actually

While we’re here we might as well look in the mirror and try and figure out what it was that was supposed to scare me the first time right uh hi I will say that was actually a pretty good scare I’m glad I went back to look for it

Although I’m not sure you were supposed to remain like this although you remaining like that does actually have Merit by itself I’m assuming that this is where the most critical difference is going to be made and that’s in deciding whether we’re going to jump out the window or stay put

Of course I jumped yesterday but this time we’re going to try staying put and see what happens now intuitively you would think that you stay you die uh but jumping should have logically led to death too so stay here will it make any difference no it actually doesn’t

So it seems like the progression is exactly the same no matter what we do now I have to make it through this parking garage again I was hoping this segment wouldn’t exist but now we have to make it through this absolute Gauntlet which is the hat which

Is the main reason why I’m not going back and trying to get all of them uh but we got to get through this and then the final decision will be to leave the person under the car alone Hi oh this is the first time I’ve been able to see it from under the car so it will disappear on its own after a couple of seconds all right now is the time to make our final decision which is to leave this figure alone someone on the ground leave him alone

Before he catches me yep over here and I’m able to see now that you just get over there and you over there and you in there and you out there and now we’re good and I’m able to see now I mean it really annoyed me yesterday that this puzzle was so easily broken

But to give credit where credit is due there is supposed to be an inbuilt mechanism to fix that and that’s actually the monster coming through he’s scripted to come out after a certain amount of time and get you if you haven’t figured out the puzzle in time

Which would act as a reset sending me back to that intermediate room and so if it had been functioning correctly I wouldn’t have had to reinstall the map let’s climb up and see if we get a different ending we did literally everything differently in terms of decision making

So it’s got to lead to something different right I don’t hear any police sirens which is weird since we did call the police this time I’ve tried everything oh we’re actually gonna jump this time following me you can’t get me I’m not giving up do you hear me I’m not giving up

Meaningless you are meaningless I am meaningless but tonight tonight tonight it’s different don’t do that you can’t stop me no you can’t only only I can I I I I I can end it I can’t leave me alone Okay so the strong implication there is that I jumped but you know given that dialogue and that surprisingly good voice acting I’m actually wondering if maybe this wasn’t all in my character’s head I mean we saw that he’s on meds he had them at his kitchen table and at his uh

At his desk but we don’t actually know what that was for or what this guy’s issues are I mean I guess it was sort of implied but it didn’t really give us a lot of information to go off of to make that assumption until that ending there at this moment

I’m actually sort of tempted and it only took me about 15 minutes to finish it once I knew what I was doing I think I’m gonna try a different combo trying to be basically like the healthiest person I could possibly be what if I call my friend

Help the person and stay put what if I do all those things what’ll happen Oh Antoine is my friend hang on can I do you have dialogue oh hey it’s a mess how are you I’m fine you the boss is waiting for me so I should probably get a move on you know how he gets oh yep I know

Um in case you need to run away as just updated the floor plan awesome it’s on my desk see you later Thomas and good luck see ya thanks hmm I wonder if talking to him affects anything oh he’s using he’s using Vegas Pro nice this is like Inception on my screen

Right now because or at least it will be once I get around to editing this but yeah this is the room that I got the uh that I got the floor plan from for the power switches oh hello Mr Good Man this time we’re going to call Antoine

Which oddly enough does seem to be the one of the two that results in somebody actually showing up here I I need to turn the electricity back on someone told me about a floor plan in his office so it’s only if I talk to him that I get the prompt but

I can still get it either way yeah that’s the main thing is I’m wondering if there are high if there are other things that can maybe influence the outcome besides just those decisions hang on nothing nothing pushed me just there uh did I break something oh there we go

I just I just broke the map again don’t worry don’t mind me have I seen this before um what’s that you got there if you’ll stop disappearing because my wide fov some kind of weird like staff what are you even carrying and how can it benefit me hello didn’t notice you before

All right so we are going to stay this time we’re gonna stay and we’re gonna help the guy under the car okay now let’s talk to the man there’s someone on the ground talk to him see because I got the feeling that this is like appealing to compassion Matt are you okay yeah

And I feel like that’s what I have to do I have to call on my friend for help instead of like the police I have to come on through there through there um I have to call my friend for help decide not to jump out the window out of

Desperation and still try to help this guy that’s trapped I feel like those are the best choices to make and can potentially lead to the best ending in any case it’ll lead to a different ending and we’ll at least see more of what this mod has to offer thank you Someone’s going to help you somehow this landed me in prison instead of the psych ward or at least a jail cell but why I can’t wait to hear the dialogue on this one there just is none okay I’m not sure how that leads to that

I guess I end up in the psych ward because I jumped like thus displaying Suicidal Tendencies but I don’t know how the rest leads me to this like what was I even arrested for the murder of the janitor Maybe I’m so confused and I’m really curious

To know what the other endings are but unfortunately I’m already all out of time for this project uh so that was late and what I’m thinking is that was a pretty good horror map with absolutely unbelievable production value I mean all that stuff in the beginning with the nightmare sequence and the

Commute to work and being able to see the whole city even when we looked out the window of this place this is a map that didn’t have to do any of that and yet it did it did all this stuff with like command blocks and changing environments and cut

Scenes and using the cameras and even it was fully voice acted which I don’t think I’ve seen a map do that yet we’ve had occasional voice clips here and there but this was like you you could even have like conversations with random people in the office and that was super cool Now of course anytime a Minecraft map tries to have like scripted gameplay it gets a little bit annoying it shows its Jank and it did several times throughout this playthrough but I appreciate what it’s trying to do and I thought it did a pretty good job of it I think my biggest criticism

And from a certain perspective you could say that this isn’t even a bad thing is that it just answered so very little and don’t get me wrong I’m the last person that thinks that a horror game should explain every little detail about what happened but I feel like we had literally no idea

What was going on like it never even gave us a suggestion of what might be happening here the only thing was in the second ending we got I think it heavily suggests that this is all some kind of like mental breakdown on the part of my character

But even that only has that one ending to go on like there were just so many elements that were introduced that thing in the parking garage that more humanoid figure that pushed us down the stairs and was seemingly hanging out in the offices I just have no idea and then there was that whole dream sequence in the beginning what was the significance of that that was terrifying that was arguably the scariest part of the entire thing if in terms of like pure horror and then there was those guys at the

Desk talking about like somebody going missing and an abandoned Asylum but then again the way those things are laid out it almost sort of makes me think that maybe those things are an allusion to other projects maybe by the same creators I don’t know if you guys have any

Additional context I would love to hear it because that was the stuff that had me really really interested and in the end we got answers on none of it but anyway that was late I really enjoyed it and it’s late now so if you like this video please remember to like
