Let’s build a medieval tavern and inn to go along with our medieval mansion or honestly this building can be whatever you want it to be but the interior which will be in the next video will be for a tavern and inn and by the way i’m planning on making an Entire town out of buildings in this style so if that’s something you’re interested in then be sure to subscribe alright so i have a materials list in the description and as for texturing the house i recommend mixing in some crack stone bricks and stone brick stairs in The base and for the walls i recommend using a mix of calcite wall and diorite but for the sake of the video i’ll be using just stone bricks and just diorite so the first step will be to build the first layer of this house following this layout And once you’ve done that you should have something that looks like this now for the main part of the house we’re going to build up the stone brakes an additional five for a total of six and on this tower we’ll build up an additional six for a total of seven So go ahead and fill all the stone bricks up to those heights Next on this front side where we have the three block wide gap place three stone bricks at the top then we’re gonna make a big door using one spruce door in the center and then we’ll spruce trap doors for the rest Next in this corner right here build this log all the way up to the height of that stone bricks then this one in front build it up one block shorter then with a sideways log going across Now we’re gonna do basically the same thing on this side so build up this corner log all the way to the top of the stone bricks then build up these two one blocks shorter then we have a sideways log going all the way across the top Then these two on either side of the door build them up to one block shorter than the stone brakes then we’ll have a sideways log going all the way across this three block wide gap on the sides we’ll place a stair in each corner and then three trap doors In these two two block wide gaps we’ll just place two upside down stairs and in the center gap again we’ll place two upside down stairs and then three trap doors on the side here we’ll make two of the same arches using two upside down stairs and three trap doors for each one All right now going back to the front side at the top of these logs we’ll place upside down stairs where those vertical logs come up so place an upside down stair and then two slabs then an upside down stair then we’ll place a slab trap door and a slab Then another stair so i’ll just go over this again Then we’ll place two more slabs and one more upside down stair now if you want you can place a fence and then a chain with a lantern on one side all right now moving around to this side we’re going to build this log up to one block higher than the stone bricks Then we’ll place a sideways log right here and then upside down stair this corner will build the log up to the height of the stone bricks and then this one will be one block higher then the same thing a sideways log with an upside down stair This lug on the back side will build up one block shorter than the stone bricks then a sideways log across the top then we’ll make our trapdoor and stair arch here and on the other side of the back we’ll build this corner log up to the height of the stone bricks Then we’ll build these two up one block shorter and again we’ll have sideways logs going across the top and as you probably guessed we’ll make some arches here now the very back side will be a little bit different we’ll start by building the center lock up to one block shorter Than the stone bricks then with a sideways slide going all the way across but just leave these sections empty because we’ll have horse stables there later alright so on these logs we’ll place a stair and then two slabs and a stair then three slabs and another stair Then two slabs and one more stair on the end all right and now for this final side which is the left side of the build start by building this log to one block shorter than the stone bricks then we’ll have a sideways log going across and again we’ll make an arch here Build the center one up to one block shorter and then have a sideways log going across this time we’re going to make some diagonal beams out of spruce stairs so basically just start with an upside down stair then go up and towards the inside with stairs and upside down stairs So it should look like this and we’ll do the same thing on the other side all right and now up at the top again we’ll go with a stair and then two slabs then a stair and then three slabs then a stair two sides and one more stair All right so that’s it for the base of our main house now we’ll do the wood on our side tower so we’ll start by building these four corner logs up an additional six for a total of seven so they should be the same height as those logs over there Next we’ll have some sideways logs going across and just skip this side here because we can’t place a log there now for this doorway gap we’ll place four stone bricks at the top then you can place an upside down stair in your spruce door inside these areas here we’re going to Have some x-shaped cross beams so we’ll start with an upside down stair on each side then a regular stair then another upside down stair one more regular stair then we’ll place two spruce planks then we’ll place an upside down stair on each side and as you probably guessed we’ll just Go up with upside down stairs and stairs until they get to the corners so it should look like that this one i’ll do in third person in case that’s easier to see and yeah we’ll just do the same thing for this last side and now we just have to build the bridge All right so let’s start by placing three stone brick walls on each of these stone brick parts then above the stonework we’ll also place two stone bricks then an upside down stair then above those upside down stairs we’ll place a line of stone bricks going across and you can actually break these two Stone bricks right there that was a mistake anyway we’ll repeat the same thing on the back side now on the fifth block up we’ll place a trap door in each of these logs then we’ll place an upside down stair with another trapdoor then we’re going to place alternating Spruce planks and upside down spruce stairs so it should look like this and we’re going to do the same thing on the back side next we’ll place sideways logs across here and then sideways logs between these two then you can fill in the rest with planks now underneath the bridge we’ll place Three sideways logs on each side Then for the rest we’ll go with alternating slabs and trapdoors and if you want you can skip one of the trapdoors and place a couple of chains and a lantern instead just to keep things light underneath the bridge alright so the base of our house is all finished Alright so for our upper walls let’s start on the front side on top of each of these upside down stairs we’re going to build up an oak log five blocks tall so we have one on this side then skip two blocks and place another then we’ll skip three blocks and place one more And then one more on the end next we’ll place spruce top slabs and between them at the base go ahead and place a lantern on one then i’ll place two more over here next in this corner place an upside down stair and then two trap doors We’ll do the same thing on the other side next place a placeholder block in a corner and then a sideways log so it should look like this we’ll take that sideways logo lay cross stop it one block short next we’ll place two planks on each side then place three upside down stairs Then place two vertical planks on each side then i’ll place a placeholder block and then an upside down stair on each side then place three spruce planks like so and two more on top down in this window place two trap doors on each side and then three fence posts going up the center Now going over here let’s build up this corner log an additional five then one block below the top we’ll have a sideways log and we’re going to make another diagonal beam so let’s start with the stair then we’ll go up with stairs and upside down stairs till we get to the other corner Now right here we’ll build this log up by six So it should be one block higher then over sideways locking the top of this one and again we’ll make a diagonal beam of stairs So this is what that corner should look like on the other side over here we’ll build up another six block tall log then two blocks in from each one we’ll build up a five block tall o’clock then i’ll have a sideways log going across again we’ll place some spruce top slabs Going across the bottom then in the center of this three block wide section place four fence posts then on each side we’ll place an upside down stair and two trap doors and in the center we’ll place three trapdoors on each side with the upside down stair at the top Now up here in the very center place five oak logs then we’ll place an upside down stair with a stair on top and then another upside down stair and we’ll do the same thing on the other side next we’re going to place a placeholder block and then an upside down stair So it should look like this then another placeholder block and upside down stair then we’ll place a full plank on top of this upside down stair and then one more placeholder block and an upside down stair so this is what it should look like and i’ll just kind of go over these Blocks in case you need to see them again and now we’ll do the same thing on the other side So for the back side here we’ll just copy the exact same thing we did on the front side And for this corner we’ll do the same thing we did on that front corner All right and now going over to this side by the bridge let’s build this corner log up by an additional four then skipping one block we’ll place three then we’ll have a sideways log going across place one upside down stair here then we’ll make a small diagonal beam with stairs like so Then we’ll build this log up in additional three place a sideways log at the top and then another upside down stair so this is what this corner should look like now over on this side towards the front we’ll build this one up by three and this one up by four Place a sideways log with an upside down stair underneath then skip one block and build up a three block tallow clog place an upside down stair then we’ll skip three blocks from here and place another three block tall oak log there should be two spaces on this side Then we’ll place the sideways log going all the way across here we’ll make a small diagonal beam Then in this three block wide gap we’ll place three slabs going across then two fences on each side Now this part starts to get a little bit weird on this log right here we’ll place an upside down stair at the top of the sideways log then place two vertical clogs on top so it should look like this we’ll do the same thing on this side Then we’ll place a sideways log going cross right over these ones then place one sideways log on top of each of these vertical logs and place five sideways logs going across then build up four vertical logs in the center all right so i’m just going to kind of Go over these blocks again really quick in case you need to see it again all right so now let’s build up our tower another level and this level will be pretty much the exact same as the bottom level so we’ll start by building up our oak logs in the corners by an Additional seven then we’ll have a horizontal line going across the top so there should be six blocks of gap here Then we’ll make our x-shaped cross beams using spruce stairs and planks and this is the exact same as we did it below so we’ll repeat that for our three outer sides and then for the side towards the bridge we’ll do something different so go ahead and fill in these two sides All right so for this side towards the bridge we’ll start with that horizontal log then we’ll place a stair in each corner and two trap doors Then down below we’ll place a spruce door on these stone bricks now we’re gonna fill in the stone brick and just place an upside down stair on top of that door so i’ll fill in the stone brakes up to the level of those logs [Laughter] [Laughter] all right so next we’re going to build the bridge so let’s start by taking this sideways log all the way across and same for this one on the back side next we’ll build up three fence posts every other block so there should be three of them on each side Then in between we’ll place fence gates at the bottom and we’ll repeat this on the other side then right here we’ll place an upside down stair in each corner and then two trapdoors on each side and now we’re ready to start working on those inner walls like i mentioned at The beginning i’ll be using just diorite but i recommend mixing in some calcite and white wool too so let’s start on the front side here we’re basically going to fill in the walls following that wooden frame but we’ll have some windows so leave a three by four gap in the Center here with diuretic going across the bottom then at the top of this we’ll place a full block on each side and then a slab in the middle and then we’ll place three walls on each side and afterwards i actually decided that i like it better without the walls so you Can decide for yourself anyway we’ll build up this diorite and in this window here we’ll have a three by three of glass blocks and we’ll fill in the rest with diorite now going around this corner we’ll fill it all in with no windows up to six blocks [Laughter] So there should be one block above the logs on this side we’ll place diary going across the bottom then we’ll have a three block wide four block tall glass block window [Laughter] go ahead and fill in the rest all right so this is what we have so far As you probably guessed we’re gonna do the exact same thing on this backside as we did on the front side so go ahead and fill that in [Laughter] [Laughter] oh and one thing i forgot to mention is you can also place some flower pots on these little shelves here so i’ll just Add one on each side let’s build this little part up by six then we’ll go around right on top of this stone brick do the same thing on this side except we have a window right here go ahead and just place two glass panes there then we’ll fill in the rest All right so this is what we should have now Now let’s do this upper part so start by placing some dye right all the way across then go up one more level then from here we’re going to start going inwards each level so it’ll just kind of slope up like so so this is what we should have Now for this part right here let’s place diorite going down Except let’s place three planks right here so we can place a door so just leave a gap for that door then you can place your spruce door in there and that’s it for our walls alright so now we just have one more level to go on our tower and then we’ll Start on the roof so for this top level all four sides will be the same we’ll start off by building each oak log in the corner up by five then we’ll place some horizontal logs in between next we’ll place a top slab on each side then an upside down stair Then another top slab so it should look like this if you want you can place a flower pot or some other decoration in there Then on these upside down stairs we’ll place two trapdoors and flip those then up top we’ll place a slab then a stair and same thing on the other side and then one slab in between so this is what that pattern should look like and we’ll repeat this on all four sides On these shelves you can place whatever decorations you’d like and then you can also hang some lanterns all right so for the inside walls you can place diorite around the first layer then on the second and third layers each side will have a 1 by 2 glass pane Window and then we’ll fill in the rest with diorite up to those logs all right so that’s it for our walls now i’m just going to go off camera and mix in that calcite and white wall like i mentioned at the beginning and then we’ll get started on the roof Actually before we make the roof let’s build the chimney so right across from this log on top of the calcite we’ll make a two by two of stone bricks then we’ll build it up by five more for a total of six and i’m going to mix in some stairs and Crack some brick 2 to give it a more rustic feel then at the top we’ll place 4 campfires and surround those with trap doors now let’s start on the frame for the front of our house so place two top slabs right here one block below the top of this log Then we’ll start off by just going up with stairs and upside down stairs when you get to this part where the slope increases place a full block and then the stair on top then we’ll go up with this increased slope until you get to the top then just place an upside down stair With a full block on it now we’ll do the exact same thing on the other side all right so here’s what that frame should look like now let’s do this left side we’ll place two top slabs one block below the top of that log and this one is simple we’re just going Up with stairs and upside down stairs the whole time and at the top we’ll place an upside down stir with a slab on top then we’ll go back down now you can take these slabs across the side here for this back frame we’re going to do The exact same thing that we did on the front So Now let’s take these slabs across until we get to this upside down stair then from here we’ll place two top slabs let’s actually make this one a full block then we’ll go up with stairs and upside down stairs until they meet in the center and here we’ll place an upside down Stair in the slab and then we’ll go back down so here again we’ll place a slab then we’ll take these slides across right here we’ll place a full block so for the bridge we’ll place top sides going across these sideways logs then from there we’re just going to go Up with stairs and upside down stairs And in the center we’ll place a slab and then full blocks going across Let’s just place those slabs going all the way across then we’ll go back down with our stairs and upside-down stairs and again on this side we’ll have slabs going across all right so now i’m just going to go and fill this in on a faster speed should be pretty self-explanatory but if You need to see how i do it you can go ahead and slow down the video to 0.5 All right so there’s that now let’s do the tower roof so to start we’ll place an upside down stair on each of these vertical logs then we’ll place doors in between and in the corners so this is what we should have then we’ll place a ring of stairs on top of That little platform we just made then we’ll go with another round of stairs and one more ring of stairs so there’s three levels now we’re going to place a 3×3 of full blocks then we’ll place a stair on each side then we’ll place one block sticking out and then we’ll place a wall So now our roof is completed and next we’re gonna work on the stables in the back of the house Okay so let’s start by placing five logs on each side so you’ll have double logs then place three sideways logs and then a vertical log do the same thing from the center and on the other side then build these vertical locks in additional two for a total of three Then on top of these sideways logs we’ll place three fences and then three slabs next we’ll place fence gates in between you can fill in the floor inside the stables with a mixture of puzzle and coarse dirt we’ll also place a few hay bales on each side Then we’ll finish filling in this floor for the roof we’ll start off with a row of slabs on top of these vertical logs and we’ll extend it out by one on each side then we’ll go with a row of full blocks then for the next row place slabs on top Of top slabs so it should look like a full block then for this final row we’ll use a placeholder block to place an upside down stair and we’ll take those upside down stairs all the way across then from the inside you can place some slabs here next on these vertical logs we’ll place An upside down stair sticking out then we’ll place trap doors in between Then let’s place campfires on top of these stairs and trap doors don’t forget to extinguish those with a shovel then go ahead and place a lantern somewhere and then we’ll put our horses in the stables All right now we just have a few decorations to add so first of all on these open windows you can place some trapdoors for shutters so if you want you can just place three on each side to leave it open or if you’re worried about mobs getting in you Can just cover up the entire thing next we’ll add some oak leaf bushes around the house we’ll have them mostly around the base but you can also add some leaves hanging off these shelves and stuff so yeah just go around and add some bushes Now the path should be dependent on your landscape but what i did is use cobblestone mossy cobblestone and then patches of coarse dirt and i also added some stone buttons on top so i have my path splitting into two one branch will go to the front door and the other one Will go underneath the bridge and then to the stables so i’ll go ahead and fill that in off camera all righty now the exterior of this house is completed i’m just gonna fly around here in case you need to see anything again so the interior video will be coming out Soon if it’s already out it’ll be here on the screen or you can find a link in the comments and otherwise i hope you enjoyed building this house don’t forget to leave a thumbs up and subscribe for more Video Information
