What’s up everybody welcome back to another episode of hermit pack on the Hermit craft server so guys last episode yes we were playing around with the RF tools elevator and we made an elevator that goes down to a second floor yeah last time we made this floor and it was

A five blocks all I have since increased it by two more blocks with seven blocks tall felt a little low ceiling the way that was I think seven blocks is probably gonna be good for what I have planned here we might even want to make it bigger or whatever but I think for

The main floor this should be good if we need more room we can like dig down a staircase into another room or whatever and lower it into that specific place but I think for here I think we’re good but anyway we dug this all out so we

Could start expanding out the base we could start putting machines down here getting a proper automation area set up that’s something that I’m pretty interested in doing when I was messing about these screens I really didn’t know what I was doing and so people have pointed out that I was derping around

And yeah as it turns out for each one of these screens what you got to do is have in one elevator button so this button is attached to this elevator this screen down here has one button and to this button is attached to you that elevator

It seems like you have to have one button / screen otherwise the screen doesn’t display anything right if you put the bun in there it shows both of the elevators from I guess that would be the screen controller sees both of those anyway yeah so I was thinking that I

Haven’t have two buns in each one of these so he could go to each different level but yeah you only need the one in there apparently so that works for me uh so today yeah we’re gonna be looking at expanding down here we’re gonna be looking at chiseling sub-blocks getting

Some walls up getting some things going I’m excited for that let’s go back up to the main floor here so i asked you guys last episode about the chisel mod and it was brought to my attention i don’t remember if it was in the comments from

The last episode or people told me about this before but anyway there is a chisel from i guess i should chisel mod called a chisel that’s different from the regular chisel the regular chisel if you right click on it you can put a block in the chills

Spot and you can see all the different blocks you can chisel that into right well the thing is if you see this block right here it looks like a block with a hole in it right there doesn’t look too I don’t know it just doesn’t look great

But if you go to the I chisel yeah I get out of that screen real quick I chisel here we go to the IHS oh we please all right I guess you don’t place anywhere you click on the block it selected and then it shows you all the different

Blocks you can turn that block into so for instance that pretty boring block that was a square with a little Donna said if we click on it you can see here I guess this is a three by three panel this shows you what it looks like in the

World if you were to place it what this thing would look like I’m not sure with not sure what the button did yeah it looks like you can click drag and spin it which is kind of cool i didn’t really mean to do that though anyway this is

Pretty awesome i like this functionality so you can see a panel it looks like on three by three you click here so it looks like with the connected textures in the center if you just did a hollow one and do like a plus sign or what the

Block looks like all by yourself what you see right here and what you would have seen in the chisel so normally in the chisel I want to skipped over this block be like yeah right who wants to use that one but yeah as you can see

Like if you click on these some of these look really cool as a panel you don’t you don’t have to chisel them you don’t have to place in the world you can just kind of click on them and see what they all look like and that is really really

Cool I like that this block right here would have expected to be like a kinect detection but we can see it’s not so yeah I’m going to be going through some of these and checking them out I kind of like these kind of like a weird offset I

Guess that’s a square whatever the tiles are curved they’re not just the normal square ones this looks kind of cool as well those have an interesting pattern there’s a lot of cool things in here I’m thinking these might be really cool looking for a wall or something but what

We wanted to do was to do the factory blocks right yeah factory blocks have a lot of moving parts a lot of brown colors in here a lot of kind of gray metal colors as well I wanted to set up a machine room down below and we wanted

To you have like you know I guess we’re going to do as the factory style so these blocks are perfect for that so I got to think route which one of these blocks were gonna use for a floor this my well I was just say that would look kind of cool

But I guess that’s like yellow tape that look almost like it was going to be a checkered pattern or something but it’s not yeah so that’s where these come in really handy the I chisel so you can kind of see what you’re doing here that looks really cool it’s like a bunch of

Different metal panels what is this thing called sloppy pleading I do like that anyway I’m going to go through these figure out something to do for a floor and we’ll be right back guys all right guys well I spent a little bit of time here playing around with some ideas

And I think this is what I’ve come up with so far although subject to change like I said I want to use the factory blocks we ended up using these purple wire frames for the walkway yeah the walkway is three blocks wide and we have

A big open area here so we can you know either go down this path and go do something over here or we have you know two different paths over here and then maybe we’ll have another hallway into a room on either side I haven’t quite figured out what we’re doing just yet

But I kind of wanted to get some walls in here the way I was doing this as I was kind of counting about nine blocks away from the wall here is where we did in the walkway and I guess enter into a new room so that would give us plenty of

Room to put in walls and finish up things over here I just like having things spaced a little bit spaciously so you don’t feel cramped you’re not white wishing you had that one extra block of space yeah if we don’t need it we can fill it in or whatever so another thing

That i did is over here for the elevator down i did make a three block wide on all the walls around it just to make it feel like a structurally sound we don’t want one block wide we don’t want a feeling flimsy or whatever and then yeah

I brought the wall all the way down to the end over here I also move the panel instead of being on the conduit that went on this side I moved it to the other wall over here does not have to be attached to the conduit yeah i just had

Dick because that was like the only thing that place it on at the time so yeah we have this here and then we have in under io conduit going down I think it is yeah we have the facade going down right here and then underneath and then

Powering this from the side that’s a facade right here as well so the facades do work with the connected textures which is really really awesome so now our elevator does this we have a nice clean elevator shaft as we go down the elevator yeah we walk in and press the

Button rate we go down we don’t have to turn we’re now facing the correct direction for this room which I think it’s smart yeah you don’t want you don’t go down the elevator and have to turn around then go off great so the same thing when we go back up we press the

Button we’re facing into the beasts and we can go do whatever it is that we wanted to do up here right so I think that is pretty cool i’m liking that i’m having a good time pulling you around with it just a blocks all these different chisel patterns and things

Like we did ever have these before and i do like this i was kind of like almost a random pattern i don’t know if there is a repeating design here that probably is but feels like it’s random it’s not the same thing over and over again they’re

Just kind of like thai old or whatever so it’s really interesting to look at regardless i think anyway so yeah we’re gonna be bringing these walls up i’m gonna be figuring out how to section off these rooms properly I don’t really know how we’re gonna do that just yet I don’t

Know the materials that the walls are going to be made out of I don’t know for sure if we’re gonna leave the floor out of this stuff we might switch as to the walls are this stuff but I was kind of figuring since we’re doing like a

Machine I guess factory style blocks or whatever things that go with the factory blocks are kind of like a great color metal color kind of thing we don’t really have super too many options to to go with that so I went with the default stone just chiseled stone into whatever

This particular block is I guess it’s called a zag style yeah it’s easy to replace if we want to switch it out for something on later wait wait next step is get the walls in place get the block that the walls are made out of figured

Out maybe flesh out these walls a little bit more over here make them a little bit thicker and then get these back walls finished up and get some rooms going anyway let me get to it and we’ll be back alright guys well this is the next day so I’ve been spending some time

Building on our machine level trying to figure out the room that I wanted to do so yeah we polished up this elevator shaft and then I gave it a proper floor we’re no longer using the courts blocks anymore nope we are using these factory blocks these are like the purple wire ones and

These are I can’t remember it’s like the second block and you look at it the factory blocks on the chisel yeah so this is what we’re looking like now kind of fleshed out the room a little bit mm-hmm I’m kind of happy with it right now after we got all these factory

Blocks in place and did like the scaffolding blocks but kind of likes the porch and just to kind of break up the flat ceilings I’m kind of feeling like the zagg stone oh he fell on the floor year I’m not feeling any more I think we’re gonna have to replace this with

Something else but I don’t know what that something else is right now anyway the room is kind of plane right i mean there’s no like going on here it’s just the the factory blocks for the ceiling in the walls mm-hmm and then we have the scaffolding just to kind of break things

Up and kind of make it look like it’s got some structural support but other than that there’s not a lot of other stuff going on here I would like to improve this a little bit over time you guys want to give me some ideas for doing that I’ll definitely take them

Into consideration but I think what we’re gonna end up doing down here originally I think I was gonna make this kind of like a lobby area would come down here and we can go to like these different places but I think we are going to utilize this space here and we

Are going to put things in one of the things that we’re running low on is stone which is kind of surprising you think with how big of a space we’ve dug out down here that we would have plenty of stone but yes new stone it’s just one of those resources that we’re not

Getting a lot of so what we could do is set up like a cobblestone generator mm-hmm so you start filling up one of the quantum storage is full of that we could use the cobblestone for that or sub the second cobblestone generator and start feeding that into a furnace that’s

Automatically filling up another deep storage or quantum storage whatever they’re called with these new stone other things we’re running out of like I keep finding myself having to make sand all the time so we can smell that into glass so if we could fill up another storage full of sand maybe have another

One going or I guess some of that going into a chest or I don’t know to be smelt into glass that’d be really them so I think that’s something that will probably be looking at doing I think we’re going to end up setting it up over here we’ll just make like a

Little thing in the center area here where we were having all those things being processed I think that makes the most sense for right now as far as these other areas go I’m not sure what we’re gonna put into him we have things like the out of crafting machines that we

Could set up over here maybe maybe we can start breaking up our machines little bit have like the mechanism machines over here that we could do and right Oh on this side or I don’t know what there’s so many different possibilities that we can do right now

But the first things first I want to get the cobblestone generator hooked up we’re going to set it over here in this I guess I would be the back left side when you come down the elevator right yeah well get that set up over here so it’s automatically making the

Cobblestone the stone the sand the gravel all that stuff I still need to make the machine so we can get that set up so I’m gonna go and do that and we’ll be right back guys all right guys well I went ahead I made a few machines we’re

Gonna try out the machines from actually additions we made the double crusher and we made the power furnace previously double furnace so I haven’t gotten a chance to use these things at all i don’t really know how they work I assume they work just like you know most furnaces and crushers masters whatever

So we’ll go ahead and check it out so it looks like a dude that does have two slots for items to go in and there was a thing here at saw that said Otto split items on and off I don’t know if this is like if you pipe items in from one side

He goes to this slot or if you can just split them you just put them into a top I don’t know we’ll figure this all out so yeah we have the power furnaces we got the double crushers seems like it’s gonna be pretty cool but first things

First we need to get ourselves some cobblestone being generated so let’s go ahead and do that I’m going to put a quantum storage here I have myself a transfer node you know what I thinking yeah I need some transfer pipe do we have any that transfer yeah we have some

Transfer babe okay so we’re going to want to pipe the cobblestone from wherever the cobblestone generator is into this thing for the right now I’m just going to stick it in the form will probably make this thing look a little bit more fancy later so for right now

Do lava one piece of cobblestone water will get a transfer new like so and then we will connect the pipe to that there we go we need to add in one of these mining upgrade things so let’s just start generating cobblestone and putting the cobblestone into here now I didn’t

Make a second one I don’t know if I’ve ever tried speeding these up I’m extra utilities to like I don’t know if he just with speed upgrades if it just makes a stupid amount of these things maybe need a stack upgrade and then it make 64 at a time honestly I don’t know

But it seems to make the cobblestone rather slowly so I figured we’d probably end up making a second one of these so i made another mining up create another one of these we might look at that a little bit later okay so we have cobblestone being generated now we need

To go ahead and starts melting that easy way to do that just by putting into a power furnace like so and then we can put another quantum storage right there cool all right look at that alright so I think that’s how we’re gonna end up doing that so we need a pipe the

Cobblestone from here to here and then pipe the smooth from here to here I assume we can just go ahead and use these item conduits something like so so I be Auto extract that should be insert all right auto extract always active so cobblestone should now start going into

Here looks pretty good alright so now we need the stone from here to here and I don’t know if we can do this from the bottom or how this is all going to work I assume we have to pull out from the bottom like I said I haven’t used the

Furnaces before so we’re just going to try this and nothing else this will just make it simpler so we can just see always active here and then insert to this one nothing should be going in here yet ok I think we’re fine I also did bring some conduit facades they assumed

We were going to be breaking up these blocks we had these machines sitting on though than that yeah that looks pretty good right I think that’s going to be fine we might even be able to do those condo facades under here as well and just hide those completely but for right

Now we’re just kind of testing it I’ll button it up make it look a little bit nicer as we move on so that should give us our cobblestone enter stone right and then we’re going to want to do another one where we’re doing into a crusher when

You call us up going to a crusher this will make sand some machines you put cobblestone and it crushes it and it turns it into gravel and then you have to redo the gravel into sand apparently this turns it directly understand so that’s kind of nice okay so we have the

Cobblestones going to go into here that’s going to turn into sand the sand is going to go into a furnace I guess we can just do we’re like that into well we want the sand store don’t we yeah because we want seeing we want seeing going into a furnace and then we want

Some glass being made I think that’s how you want that set up so I’m not go ahead and get the rest of the wires hooked up here I also brought uh would I bring the dimensional transceivers we have wireless power down here and we can

Power all these things will ya let me go get some more wiring hooked up and we’ll be right back alright cool so that wasn’t so difficult to do so yeah again we have the cobblestone going into this deep though I guess it’s quantum storage almost called a deep storage

Cobblestones coming in here we are pulling out of this guy on the green channel that’s coming over here and going into the bottom side of this furnace on the green channel we’re able to extract out of the bottom side of this furnace as well and we’re extracting on the brown channel the

Brown channel is coming over here and being inserted into this quantum storage so yeah we’re getting stoned and we’re getting cobblestone yep it’s being smelted using the double furnace here pretty awesome I like that I was a lot simpler than I just think it was gonna

Be it’s a nice a juke in push and pull item from the bottom side of this powered furnace I do like that okay same kind of a thing over here on this side we do have another lava I guess cobblestone generator right here that’s just pushing cobblestone directly into

His double crusher we aren’t storing extra cobblestone anywhere hey I do notice that this machine right here this double crusher this is going pretty slow I don’t think there’s a way to speed this machine up I don’t know if we need to speed it up if it’s gonna be in

Little chunks and running all the time but this thing is going pretty slow isn’t it yeah I think a sag mill or something might have been better here or maybe the crusher for a mechanism I think the sag mill turns cobblestone into gravel then you have to do gravels

Dan I could be wrong anyway it’s same kind of a deal we have now the sand being extracted on the green channel on this particular extraction though we have it set to round robin so it’ll strict some put here than abstract others and put it into this one so half

Of its going over here to our quantum storage unit for sand and the other half is going over into this double powered furnace turning into glass this one seems like it’s being wasted doesn’t it yeah there’s a smelting a lot faster than we’re getting least and like I said

I’ve never used these machines I didn’t really know what to expect I don’t know what the speed was gonna be on these guys yeah we have sand here and then we have a glass being stored over here and they should be about the same that’s 46

This is 45 pretty close right so yeah that’s pretty awesome so anyway that’s being extracted on the green and then over here we have the glass thing stricter than the brown that goes into you this one so yeah that’s all pretty nice and I think we should be able to

Just use these counter facades on the bottom here I guess we have to click it directly on the conduit that trick clicking into the ground that doesn’t work and that should cover up everything quite nicely it’s not a bad little system we have here I think eventually I

Would like to get some storage buses or whatever theta is called storage bus isn’t it I can’t remember from our grid system or refined storage system on the back of these guys and that way we can have access to all those items from up above well I guess we won’t be able to

Put on the back of this particular guy that’s just cobblestone so I guess that doesn’t really matter but yeah we could have these guys hooked up into the grid Network which would be pretty awesome yeah over time they’ll gain a lot more of those resources and then hopefully we

Won’t have to worry about those again I was kind of considering if we wanted to have gravel being automatically produced and you know it might not be a bad thing certain items that we make in the game do you require gravel like I just had to make more this

Onto a binder here so I can make more of these under energy conduits conduit binder comes from the binder composite which comes from sand and gravel and clay clay we have a lot of gravel we don’t have an automated way of doing anything we don’t have an automated way

Of creating it I think we might have a decent amount of the system though let’s take a look gravel about 700 we have some that’s not a whole lot that’s enough to get us by for now maybe we could set up a quarry in the future to

Not void that kind of stuff out I don’t know we’ll have to see but for right now you know getting our first bit of automation stood up in our machine area I like it alright guy so I looked at this one last time before I decided to step away from this particular setup

Yeah end up changing this up so both transfer nodes are going into this one quantum storage and this quantum storage is sending out to both this double crusher and to our powered furnace over here yep I think that just makes more sense we were getting a slight surplus

On the cobblestone over here that was going into the powered furnace which made me think we’re getting a lot of cobblestone being built up over here on this one is going to this extremely slow crusher so just going to make sense I would just store all of the extra

Cobblestone that we’re getting right over here into our quantum storage unit yep and then that can ship it out to both of these if we ever need more cobblestone we know where to get it alright so that seems pretty cool to me I tell you guys what I think we’re gonna
