Minecraft – Nintendo Switch – Playing Mini-games

Hello it’sa me a staff peek at and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today I am dressed up as cap Mario which is just about as close as I can get to stampy cat at the moment because I am playing on the the Nintendo switch and

There’s no real reason for today’s video rather than I really wanted to play Minecraft on the the switch so I thought why not play just some good old-fashioned battle minigame but yet tried out on the switch and kind of just see oh yeah how fun it is is the switch the same as

The other versions is it better is it worse kind of oh yeah just to play around for a little bit and just have some fun freely so that’s the behave of the game and it’s kind of a little bit like like stepping back in the the park

In some way so especially in terms in the the minigames because at the moment it seems like there are only the three original maps was it Kevin which is the map we’re on now Cove and then all no that was a bad start and then a crucible

As well so there seem to be only three maps it’s winter because in the the storm you can buy other maps I bought the the valley map they doesn’t seem to actually show up in the the game yet so I don’t know if that’s a a bug or if

Maybe I don’t know the game hadn’t updated properly or something but for some reason you can’t get any other Maps right now so be warned if you to play on the switch maybe wait until a little bit until you try and buy any of the the

Other maps until oh I think they just got a backed off the the edge and kind of took themselves out I mean I’m not gonna complain about it made things are easier for me now what’s better be the axe or this it seems like they’re pretty

Much the same let’s err let’s use the the axe just for a bit of a change and let’s see if I can sneak back into the middle and a yes see what I will be able to get from from there so yeah it is only these are the three original maps

Luckily I do like the other the three original maps especially cabin cavern is probably my I think I put as my second favorite battle map over of all time so yeah I’m definitely glad that this is gonna be one we’re gonna get to play but I am being charged down right now let’s

Say let’s try and use this herb this poison potion and that was I think the worst fro of a poison potion in in Minecraft history baby that was absolutely awful so one of the the things that is different is the control so you’re gonna see me messing around in the

Use a lot and whoa he came out of nowhere I put them in you up for a second in whoa he’s doing loads of damage right let’s try and use the bow and arrow and just try and keep knocking him back I do think that I have better

Armor so that should be an advantage in there we go I was just about able to win so yeah the controls are pretty much the same so for running jumping craft being anything else like that that’s pretty much the same the big difference is within the

The menus is the the button to go out of the menus what would normally be like I guess B or sir cool on Xbox or Playstation that is to select things and then kind of vice versa so a lot of times I’ll try and click something but

I’ll quit up the menu or I try and quit up the menu but I click something so that is the the big thing I’m going to have to get my head around as far as I can tell from the the menus there’s no way there’s no way just to say set the

Controls so it’s just the same as all the upper versions which would be the easiest thing because the from business I’m gonna get used to it like this and then when I go back to Xbox then I’m gonna be kind of struggling but in the opposite direction but I just I guess

I’m going after to think about it a little bit more but yeah first impressions is it seems great I mean you would never guess that this game is basically running off a you know an oversized phone basically like a little mini tablet is basically the other thing

Running this game it basically looks as good as mostly the other versions like it hasn’t got they’re the same draw distance and the worlds can’t be quite as big as you know the PlayStation 4 or Xbox one but it’s every better than the the 360 and the fact that I can kind of

Just pop this out the dock and play it absolutely wherever I want is amazing you know and I’m definitely gonna be doing that a hole or any any more time I can have to play minecraft and in more places is something that I’m definitely going to lipo for now let’s go and focus

On this er this game just look at me running around it’s funny because I forget that I’m captain re cuz if I’m just running around with my hand out it looks almost the same as like my normal skin but then I just go in third-person I just see Mario’s face looking back at

Me and just a giant cat onesie it’s just kind of kind of quite a ridiculous thing to be facing to be honest so I got a lot of potion so I got a bunch of poison and weakness potion so if I just go crazy and throw all of those in to start off

With and then hopefully I can just kind of charge in with the sword and I’m finish them off there’s three other people in the game right now and they’re all left alive at the moment and I haven’t played this map and well no one ever votes for this map so I haven’t

Actually played this this map a huge amount compared to some of the other map so that’s kind of one of the the good things is a lot of people kind of vote for the the newer maps and so it’s kind of nice being able to go back to to kind

Of playing some of these these original maps that people probably don’t for a vote for quite as much as they used to when they they first came out there’s just more choice now I guess and it looks like no one else is really hanging

Out in the middle and this is always a a dangerous middle to hang out in because there’s so many entry waves from every direction and a lot of wolves kind of blocking you you off so sometimes it’s kind of hard to see if someone is

Sneaking up on you but no guy was able to to get a boat so let’s kind of hide back here rather than in the the middle and let’s just go and switch the bow around to here they’ll get old I was always saying about how I’m getting

Better at the menus then I go and make a mistake like that but where is everyone I reckon the rule down down here somewhere let’s go all yeah they’re literally right underneath me right let’s go for my photos at all I nearly fell in the lava or I need to be careful

Oh I need to jump over the lava and they’ve no idea where I am do you see them just kind of spinning in a circle I think they’ve got a fawns helmet I was getting hurt then just from the helmet we can go and grab this shovel at all they’re an enchanted but

If they saw me approaching they might have probably won that because they had some some pretty awesome stuff from them to be fair and so I was kind of quite lucky down I think they had some some iron yeah some iron leggings down here as well so let’s go and grab them and

Let’s go have a little look back into the the center of the the map and AH there is I knew someone would go there people always end up kinda gradually making their way back to their the middle it looks like this person has some pretty good stuff as well so let’s

Try and get the poison potion that should get them weak and now we want to not let them escape at all there’s like a a wall of fire but like their path was credible terminal and knock them down and knock them all the way down to the

Bottom it’s kind of annoying because it means I’m not going to be able to get their their stuff anymore but I’m not gonna complain about that because I still have pretty awesome stuff myself and there’s only one other person left in the game and it’s a relatively small

Map I just need to I need to find with all their in the middle as well alright let’s have this this regeneration potion and then that’s running because if they start hurting me then my health is gonna go up really really quickly I know we’ve just both talking each other back

Knock back shovels we just knocking each other fly fine get him into love and I’ll be amazing all they’re trying to set fire to me right let’s use the the bow and arrow then there we go if you try and set me on fire I will set you on

Fire with my errand or they fell down oh no on the lava not in the lava not in the lava that was bad that was really bad luckily I had this healing potion so that should hopefully keep me alive enough to be able to have the fire stopped but that was really really

Dangerous so let’s just go and I keep keep eating all of these these apples try and keep myself as healthy as I as I can and there we go I am just about still alive it’s a little bit risky but let’s see if I can

Get this this chest up here it’s good I have something good in like look how look how hidden this chest is all the way back here there’s got to be some girls empty it’s literally got nothing in it okay that was a waste of time and

It’s bad as well because I’ve kind of given them time to make their way to the the middle so let’s go and try and get back there and if I get some good shots with the bow and arrow that might be the the only thing to keep me alive because

They’re gonna be getting absolutely everything in the the middle now this is good it’s gonna be a pretty awesome kind of 1v1 showdown tur to end this game so where are they still here all the rounds gonna end soon so if the time ends and we’re both still alive it’s gonna be

Whoever’s done the most damage in the game so I no idea how much damage they have done so I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing but let’s err let’s see we can finish this before it kind of comes down to that anyway and there we

Go there they’re pushing up these stairs if I can get one good shot then I can kind of charge in with the rest but they’ve got a they got an enchanted bow as well so this is a pretty dangerous situation for both of us and that’s the

The last of my arrows as I’ll pick up one more up there they grind all I hit them with it I hate them move it they got to be so weak let’s be aggressive let’s just go and charge down they have to be so weak I can look them in the

Lava I love them over the lava I don’t have any arrows left let’s see if I can pick up their arrows that they’re firing at me there we go I’m picking up their arrows they’re shooting arrows at me and I’m picking them back up and firing them

That it’s like a ninja like they’re shooting like arrows at me and I catch them out of the air and then fire them that not quite as epic as her as that but it’s still pretty epic though right so far so good on either the Nintendo

Switch for for me then so we played cabin when he played crucible so let’s bow for four Cove then shall we and that will be all you’ll be the the original maps I would have played at least one so I’m just gonna quickly cut ahead in the video

Until the the next map is about to start okay welcome back we are now just loading up on coab it’s a me and only two other people left in the game and do they have a really big head is it just me or does that zombie look like it’s

Got a huge head is that just me or they do do always why I think they’ve got one of the ones from the the lobby in I thought that wasn’t their skin at first I was like why why is their head so big anyway what we’re doing just running

Around in a circle let’s go in this direction let’s go and head to the boat then shall we once again this is a map that I used to play all of the time but I haven’t really played properly in quite a while as you can see me failing

My parkour to get them to the boat here I always remember that there’s this kind of slightly hidden chest down in there the corner here so I got a bow and a good amount of arrows and that’s kind of one of the first things that I always

Like to get so now I’m just gonna focus on trying to get maybe more armor let’s try get a helmet on even though it’s gonna push down my my cat ears let’s go and see we can get it a good helmet and that’d be at least a full set

Of armor and I got three harming potions as well which is good because if I go up against someone and they have a load of armor I can just kind of spam all of them down really fast under try and do a bunch of damage that way so that’s gonna

Be what the plan is and let’s just go and have this invisibility for for now and oh let’s see we can go and make our way up to this skull you can see that there’s a chest inside of there and that would normally have some some pretty

Good things it’s generally a little bit risky to go for it because if someone sees you as you’re getting it they can often go and knock you down but I think it’s definitely gonna be worth it cuz that we’ve got some enchanted shovels here with knock-back so let’s go and

Grab then and it looks like someone’s pushed into the middle let’s see we can do like a cool flying a tiger no no that went wrong I was meant to land on the bounce pad and that went horribly wrong let’s err this let’s go back and cower

In the corner for a little bit first shall we and then what’s my helps got up I can go and push in but they do have a lot of really good armor as I said I do kind of have my my counter for that I

Can go and um oh yeah fro down all of my my harming potions and my helps pretty much volley back at all look the other person’s there though let’s see if they don’t fight each other I’m like here hiding in a bush of invisible and hiding

In a bush so that guy seems to be just heading away let’s go after this guy first if I can get him with my my harming potions and then I can get his chest plate and hopefully go after the the other one I’m just worried that me the other person’s

Gonna sneak up behind me but I should have done it a really nice amount of damage to the new Vickers I’ll never go I was able to take them out that work perfectly even though they’d way better armor than me I was able to take them

Out and then let’s go and grab their armor there’s a few more arrows some pork chops basically steel everything that they heard there but they they had and then yeah let’s see if we can uh go and take out the the final person wherever they are we know in showdown

Yet so their gamertag isn’t well not their gamertag their switch tag whatever it’s gonna be coded this is that their Nintendo ID I think it is oh yeah that’s not gonna be showing yet so I just need to spot them the old-fashioned way and I

Have done that now and all that was a nice shot they were just about to go up the the the staircase I was able turns I saw them in there we go I have become the master what’s that mean why have I become the master what do I need to do

Gonna do now soon as we’ve played all of the other maps let’s go and try out the the the tumble shall we let’s back out of this let me load up a a tumble Lobby because I didn’t play tumbling ages hope I can remember the last time I played

Tumble I can’t and if I can’t then you probably can’t even say yeah let’s load up at a game of tumble let’s do let’s do snowballs always prefer doing snowballs so let’s say yeah load a per game of this I’m gonna wait for a few people to

Join in and then yeah let’s go and have a few games of this as well then okay here we go we’ve tumble I think overall I did pretty well with the battle minigame so let’s see if I can if I can keep it up and how well I’m gonna be

Able to do ever add tumble I did just kinda have one game now coming to warm up also just because I wanted to wait to have enough players in the game I really had like pretty much a 1v1 and one big one tumble is it they’re the best thing

In the world it’s best when there’s lots of people just jumping around and it’s absolutely crazy this one was crazy because there was all the tnt everywhere it just blew up half the level to begin with normally the level starts off really full and then kind of gradually gets broken away but

Like the whole top just fell down and then it just blew up half of the the bottom at all how’s the last person well it looks like on the momentum from the battle minigame but that was a crazy pleasure a look at the Yoshi skin Yoshi Yoshi I always get

People telling me off or however I pronounce it looks like evil way I pronounce it people complain to me but there’s the the computer cue cute dinosaur from Mario is in the game it’s what I was trying to say all right I’m gonna play aggressive like the way I

Think to win tumble is to kind of hang back a little bit make sure you stay alive don’t jump around too much because the more you job the more chance you have to fall but that is not how I want to play today I am gonna be hunting I am

Gonna be just going after as many players as I can find and this is a crazy one it’s oh it’s so bumpy below put the place in like this natural park oh no Yoshi got me right you got me down let’s see if I can go and knock them

Down as well they’re being good the things you want to be careful you don’t want there to be someone left at the top no here’s Mario sneak it up at the rezidentura Mario’s not be dabbing that I bounced up with this lime right there’s a piranha plot just kind of bouncing around over

There there’s the the classic Steven err in the tuxedo that would come last place in the costume contest that is this their this game but there’s that Yoshi still at the top so now you have the the tricky decision of do you go after the

UM the person at there at the top or do you go to the person on your level let’s see let’s see what the piranha plant does because if that piranha plant goes after me then there’s no way I’m gonna be able to get the person above me right

Looks like I need to try and deal with the piranha plant there we go I got the piranha plant down and now I can focus on the the final one we won against the Yoshi of course I am at a big disadvantage here see there’s a mom all

The way down here at the bottom and I don’t know if yo she’s at the the very very very top or maybe on the the second oh there they are then they all can I get them can I get them I think I can get them all know they were just able to

Avoid me then but I’m throwing loads up in the the sky and these are all gonna kind of basically come ready I don’t know was there was just a tiny gap and then they threw the snowball through right they seem to be pretty good at this game when the game is filling up

Even more oh it’s another TMT one right oh I need to I need to avoid the pressure plates or let’s just jump around and avoid the the pressure plates because that’s all gonna drop down that floor as people step on it so there we go that should be hopefully a few people

Down with that and all this person’s going after me as well and remember you can always break away with your hand well with the the snow like yes even though this isn’t the the shovel game you can still punch it away and sometimes that’s just quicker than

Throwing it so if there is someone right in front of you don’t even worry about further but no it’s because of that TMT it’s because let look at this this this world he got absolutely destroyed by the TT and I fell down and I fell all the

Way to the bottom why wasn’t i lucky like that for Ryder blood ID right now we’re gonna cut ahead until this round has finished and yeah I’ll be able to see if I’m gonna be able to do it a little bit better in the next round

Okay let’s give this another go the the Yoshi player they won that round too and it looks like they might be my my main competition so I’m gonna focus after them at the beginning just to try and make sure that they can’t win not because I’m being mean just because I

Want to win so I’m gonna I’m not gonna only go for them but I’m gonna try and focus on them especially on this this first bit because this is this is kind of where they’ve been doing really well as they they they’ve been very good at

Just staying up at the top layer and once they’re at the top layer and everyone else has fallen down it’s really hard to kick them but look at that go crazy jumping around just like you would expect Yoshi would do with all of the the platforming practice that he

Has so let’s just go crazy the stuff is all can I get him to make it all that was my chance but there we go Yoshi has fallen down right I am now in in the position that he has been in there the last two rounds and are neither the sole

Survivor up at the top so I want to just chill out here I want to throw snowballs down and see if I can take out people that have fallen down at all it looks like this one done that well there’s only one person left and it’s Yoshi

Right one me one time but the the roles have been reversed now so it’s me at the top and him all the way down underneath me so I want to try and do is make sure that even if I do get knocked down I’m not gonna fall be the entire way down

And I’ll and back into the the lava again and Oh looks like we both know where each other are let’s err let’s move around and see if I can get a little bit closer just to to get a better angle on him and he’s moving

Around there as well I just need her to keep track of where he is and I need her to spot him before he’s able to spot me and it looks like he’s under the move again going back over to this side he’s a sneaky what is the he’s Devon you

Sneak one at all oh boy this was gonna be like an epic final battle he just slipped into the love and that’s not be something that I would do I know looks like we’ve been joined by an octopus under and a hippo as well a few more friends from the

Animal kingdom have decided to join us and I’m not just gonna go for the Yoshi fuzzy because I feel bad now just because they want a couple rounds you should only go after one person but it is it is a fair enough strategy because

The way you win this is you have to win a certain number of rounds and and Yoshi’s won two rounds and I think I’ve won two rounds err as well so now I can’t remember how many rounds you need in order to completely win but yeah I do

Definitely want her to make sure that you know he doesn’t win like even if even if someone else wins instead of him that’s fine I just really don’t want him to win Lizzy we can get this so this octopus I’m kind of trying to break away the blocks rather than throwing them

Seen as weird we’re so close could I break the ones oh no I wasn’t able to get them you really need to break the blocks like in front of where they’re going rather than where they are because always they’re just gonna walk off and then not end up falling off and wow that

Person went all the way down I don’t think Mario’s playing I think Mario’s had enough he’s he done enough jumping around for one lifetime let’s hurry and drop him down into the lava and it’s me and two other plays and looks like I’m the only one on the the

Bottom layer so this isn’t too bad because no one’s really going for me right now they’re both going for each other so I can kind of stand here relatively safe and just throw as many as I can and try and knock them down and all bears the octopus over there and

Yoshi seems to be kind of in the middle and once again they’re they’re really focusing on each other so let’s just kind of throw snowballs everywhere in the kind of direction over of them and to see if I can luckily get one of them them down so yeah I don’t think about

Too much of a disadvantage you know can I get the octopus I nearly got the the octopus then but where where is Yoshi that’s what’s wrong I think yoshi might just be hiding somewhere I’m trying to to look through the the slime the problem is is that Yoshi’s berm green

The same color as the the slime so it won’t be there the easiest thing for four-meter to see where is Yoshi I know it I don’t know where evil damata to be honest I mean surely they can see each other they’re on the same level is he is

He above me up here somewhere ah he is he was directly above me that was a good surprise attack man I just saw some some snow balls coming from that direction protip for tumble don’t stand still like a lemon oh I was so focused I didn’t

Think Eve of them knew where I was I stood still way too long then I shoulda stayed moving I was asking for that let’s let’s stick with D the action this time and let’s er let’s see what’s gonna happen because I think that I’m not sure

How many rounds it is but I think there’s a chance that if M Yoshi or a coma economy yeah if they win this this round that I think they might end up completely winning so I kind of need to I kind of need her to root for our

Friendly octopus down here for for this round and hope that they’re going to end up end up winning this one but yeah we say we’re see how it’s going to play down Yoshi’s got me the advantage at the moment by being at the top but look at

The look oh look how aggressive the octopus has been at all oh is he or she gonna fall yo she’s just don’t knock on just hit that one block hit that one block to office at all okay looks like looks like Yoshi is flying a

Little bit and then what was that so one of the things that I was worried about on the switch and it seems like it’s coming through is that the Wi-Fi on the switch isn’t that great when you’re connecting and not many people use an Ethernet cable like your cable to plug

It in because you need to get like a really expensive adapter for it so I was worried that the game might be a little bit laggy but that was ridiculous then I think we’re I think we’re finding out once and for all why Yoshi’s been able

To win so much because he seems to just be able to fly look at his tie detail look at his tie detail wiggling is he’s proud this dough balls it’s the most adorable thing in the world but we’re down we’re down to dirt the showdown now

And it there is a time limit to this game it doesn’t often go to the time limit normally kind of one person falls down there eventually and I think when it’s a time limit it just becomes basically a draw but look yo she’s fallen I earned a few she fell down all

Or kind of charged and it kind of look like you did it on purpose and he was like right I’ve had enough of this I’m going in and trying to take a bulked was once a fraud oh I thought the old fuzz was gonna for that they went right to

The edge it’s so close I’ve no idea who’s going to win it looks like the looks that Yoshi could have fought better of it and decided to back off they’re really risky look at the way they’re jumping over those gaps they’re right by the edge again and again they seem to have

Absolutely no fear but it seems to be working for them normally people that kind of jump around like that end up falling in but you can tell that they’ve played this game quite a lot they and know what they are doing but the octopus is staying with them

A fried a bunch of snowballs a little bit of a flying action there once again from her from her from Yoshi as he as he keeps avoiding all of the other snowballs but he needs to throw them back you’re not gonna win by just running all day you need her to go after

Each other I always find it’s a good idea in situations like this to kind of stay further back and then that means they got more blocks that they need to break away until they’re they’re going to get to you but there’s now only ten seconds left in the the game at all is

Yoshi gonna fall Yoshi fell down there was about five seconds left in the game and then brackets brackets brackets brackets brackets brackets brackets the octopus was able to win the game so that was the outcome that we were after but that was an epic battle as I said I wasn’t in it

But just to watch it was an epic battle or let’s try and get Yoshi down straight away there’s loads of Mario’s we’ve got a doctor Mario we’ve got a Mario Mario and then of course we got me the the the stampy cat Mario I know Yoshi didn’t actually fall down

Then he’s doing his his flying strategy again looks like everyone’s kind of just just standing and just throwing snowballs at them so let’s try and take the self at unity to try and knock down as many of them as we as we can and let’s just try and avoid everyone I

Really want to disturb with the top of this mess is just an edge rock and on an end rod they’re just standing around I broke away now hopefully once the the game catches up with the other connection they’re gonna fall down the octopus seems to be are out and about

Then so and he seems turd to be playing so let’s go and see and we can go after that that octopus because they might become a new nemesis I mean they they did really well in that last round I don’t know what’s happening with the flying Yoshi

But let’s go and target down the the octopus shall we because they did really good in the last round so I can get rid of them quickly now and that’s gonna look really good for for me now let’s just be careful though because we’re really running out of ground on this

This top level here so things are gonna get dangerous but the octopus isn’t going for me the octopus is okay now now now the octopus is going for me but they were just throwing snowballs down and I just like free ranges to throw snowballs at them I wasn’t able to too much with

It but it was a good opportunity to drop them down looks like when a lot of people are backing out of the game now the people that were like in a no I’m gonna get the octopus he’s only got a few blocks I don’t know we both took each other down

At the exact same time we were both gradually running out of blocks and then both fell down I think I just got dr. Mario down though oh no he didn’t he was able to stay on let’s just go on do I break away the blocks all the way around

Him and see we can end up knocking him down I think the octopus fell down to the the next level under underneath me let’s kind of stay here on the the snow because I showed her to get really matters because if you break the snow from her from above there’s kind of two

Rows of it but if they’re throwing the snowballs up at me I don’t think it really makes too much difference so let’s kind of just ask around the outside here and let’s try to work out where people are I think someone knows where I am or they’re they’re getting

Very lucky with where they’re throwing their snowballs yep they definitely know where I am so let’s kind of keep moving around I’m not gonna make the same mistake I made in the last round and just stand completely still like a statue because that is never a good idea

In tumble so I’m gonna throw a few snowballs and then move around before anyone has any real good chance to work out exactly where I am and there’s two people if there’s the octopus and I think dr. marrows if the octopus left I can just see snowballs coming from

Somewhere over there and it is it’s the the octopus friend and they know exactly where I am so let’s try and keep moving around and all we’re into there the showdown which means that my my name is gonna be above my head so that means the the octopus is definitely going to know

Where I am and all that was gonna be a good chance then to drop snowballs straight down on it sir on his head there but let’s say instead I back around to the other side and I probably want to stay on the the outside because I don’t want to be endured the

Middle because if I fall down there I’m gonna go straight down into there the lava I want to make sure that if I do fall down I’m at least gonna land on the the level underneath me rather than falling all the way down but there we go

That doesn’t even matter because I was able to take up the the octopus and that is I think three rounds one fall for me so maybe it’s four rounds you need to win or was that the final one oh that was there the final one I was the the

Champion I broke over a thousand blocks did 180 four jumps and I traveled 988 something’s blocks I guess that probably is I mean I go and that was kind of my my first impressions of the the minigames on the under the switch it’s really good fun off see that game was a little

Huggy at the the end there and I think that’s kind of just to be expected oh yeah jolly good fun so there’ll be plenty more games coming up on the switch as well as just kind of the the minigames in general above it up and I
