So minecraft playstation 4 the bedrock version is getting virtual reality support before servers and realms but welcome back everyone my name is echo and i hope you’re having a great day today’s minecraft video it’s the latest news in the minecraft community so if you have a vr headset this is Going to be something fun for you guys now this is going to be completely free this was actually coming from roger carpenter who worked very closely with 4j studios when they were around before they were binned off but anyway he tweeted this saying at least we can say something yes ps vr Support is coming to hashtag minecraft on playstation 4. now you may already see the articles from playstation posted on social media but if you haven’t i’m here to go through all the details kind of curious let me know in the comments section do you have A ps vr headset let me know i was looking at the prices of them because i thought this could be a pretty cool video they’re like 250 pounds pushing nearly 300 i’m tempted to get a vr headset but that’s what if you guys would like to see some virtual reality minecraft The next post is on the official playstation website posted by roger carpenter this has been much requested and much discussed among our minecraft playstation community and players but i can finally say something officially about it yes we are bringing playstation vr support to minecraft and we’re going to do it Very soon this month in fact so september yes that soon us mojang folks have been bursting to say something about this for ages psvr support has actually been a planned ps4 feature since we got the thumbs up from sony to bring cross-platform play and the bedrock version to playstation 4. there was Never any question of would we just when now i find this incredibly interesting and the reason why guys is because going back probably two months ago and in a video i talked about the other day they literally discontinued the gear vr version of minecraft that was a cheaper version that was a Cheaper headset a cheaper virtual reality headset that you could play minecraft on i think it was linked to a samsung device or android devices they literally discontinued the gear vr and now they’re introducing this it’s kind of really interesting because they have the habit of announcing things and then discontinuing things like for Example they announced super duper graphics pack right which was going to be available on all bedrock platforms for them to then discontinue it for them to then announce the rtx ray tracing with nvidia which is only available on windows 10. so they’ve gone from making things available for more people to making Things available for only the high-end rich people is what i’m gonna say i don’t know i think it could be a pretty good cool thing here’s a couple of pictures the first one here of course it’s your uh your controller and your headset there’s a chick in there it speaks for itself Someone’s obviously leaning on the side the next one we have here is someone’s looking down on a tree you really can’t see this picture in great detail but i imagine that’s pretty creepy especially if you’ve never played virtual reality before the next one here is inside a ruined village Sword at the ready that’s quite interesting diamond sword huh you tell me you didn’t go into creative and give yourself that and the next one here is actually a roger carpenter and he explained hashtag minecraft minecraft vr playstation vr you will be able to lean Uh lean out a lean around to look around corners so you better lean to look around all fun and games until you lean around the corner and there’s a freaking in there that would not be fun i’ve i’ve played virtual reality before but for me specifically virtual reality gives me migraines and headaches Virtual reality you can only play for so long if you don’t get headaches or anything like that then you’re pretty lucky but yeah i mean people have been able to do this i think for via oculus rift and stuff like that via the pc version but looking around corners and seeing creepers Doesn’t sound fun to me and there’s there’s the actual picture in in better detail as you guys have already seen the article then goes on to say once we finish the final bits of polish to the experience the psvr support will arrive via a patch for the main minecraft game everyone who Has minecraft on playstation 4 will get that patch automatically download that patch and you’ll get access to the new minecraft vr functionality of course you’ll need a psvr setup in order to use it all of you have one of those right yeah not quite not for the price that they’re gonna cost And then goes on to say but surely there must be something different yes of course there’s a bunch of new settings and guidance so that you can tweak the vr experience to your needs there’s also two main ways you can play the game in vr immersive and living room modes we think Both are cool but it’s up to you just like the main game you will use your dual shock 4 controller to move around and do all the crafting and choppy fighty things that you need to do but you’ll be fully immersed in your minecraft world i Guarantee you will jump out of your skin at some point so you’re still gonna have to use your controller i would love to see some gameplay of this because i don’t know how it’s going to work is it going to work very similar to the way The oculus rift worked or how the gear vr worked so i think i would love to have seen some gameplay there was no gameplay actually posted in regards to this topic um now as i mentioned i think the video was yesterday they have now they’re now using the render Dragon on the bedrock version so it looks like the render dragon engine is definitely opening minecraft bedrock to more possibilities now with the introduction of the render dragon they have started to discontinue a bunch of devices this is gonna be older mobile devices older tablets older pcs laptops That’s that’s happening if you have a message that pops up saying that your device is not going to be supported you are going to have to upgrade your device but yeah sometimes you have to leave some things behind to then push forward to better things they did it with minecraft Console edition and it looks like they’re doing it with parts of minecraft bedrock but if you have a vr headset hopefully this tickles your pickle and hopefully you guys are excited to see this i’ll keep you updated on this subject as much as possible have a great day stay Beautiful and i’ll catch you next time You Video Information
