What’s up guys it’s your buddy MOG swamp here on my creative world to show you a little tutorial today and I hope you guys like it I’m going to be showing you a few different things but main the main point of this video is to demonstrate to You how to build a cobblestone Mountain like the one I have on my flat world so let’s get started here now water and lava react in certain ways when they touch so oh jeez if we just fill those up real quick okay you can see these are All source block source blocks mean that each block is a water block because you can see water flows or or the same goes for lava lava flows slowly so a source block means that it is an actual block of water and not just the runoff so when Lava meets a bunch of water source blocks it creates stone as you can see here by that messy demonstration and when and I guess most of you should probably know this if you’ve ever played Minecraft but if water meets source blocks of lava it creates obsidian so there’s that and There’s one other thing to show you when a source block of sorry when running lava meets running water it gives you cobblestone and we can try it the other way around here place the water first and then the lava well that didn’t work I got up I got to be quick I guess hold on I wasn’t quick enough um here we’ll do it like this there we go yep see makes cobble no matter what you do alright so now to show you how to make the cobblestone mountain basically Pillar up as high as you want to as high as you can preferably and build something that looks like this just like that and then you want to have a block below it like this sorry about that just like that and then poke a hole there that’s where your water and lava Are going to fall down and then you’re going to have you can do it with one sticky piston but just for ease I will do it with two just like that place your sticky pistons there place your blocks and then you have a block next to each Piston and then grab a lever and place one down next to each make sure one is pulled at least then put your lava and then your water so basically I actually I should do the water first so if we pull that piston neither the water nor the lava are flowing downwards as you Can see and but if we pull this piston the lava begins to flow and eventually it will make its way down to the bottom and spread out and then once it does that you’re going to want to pull the lever again and pull this lever and eventually the level will reach the Bottom and spread out and then the water will turn it all into cobblestone so let’s just wait for that to happen here and we can go ahead and pull the levers again once that happens there it goes so we only got one block there because I Pulled it a little too soon but you’re going to want to wait until everything is nice and spread out before you pull a lever and yeah then you can just send the lava down again keep doing this and eventually what’s going to happen if you don’t have this block these blocks here Is at some point you’re going to get a buildup of cobble because the lava will spread out on top of that cobble and so on and basically it’s going to build more and more now the reason the reason I’ve done it like this the problem with This design is that you have to do a manual you yourself have to be pulling the levers whereas some people have created redstone contraptions that automate the water and the lava pouring down the problem is as the mountain gets higher and higher you need to wait Longer and longer for the lava or the water to spread out and as you can see there we’re getting a little buildup of cobble it doesn’t work as well as it used to just because the lava dries up faster I mean it’ll still work just as Well but since the lava dries up faster you need the timing to be a little better because before you could you know pull this level lever and wait for the lava to go all the way down and then pull this one and it didn’t really Matter so you just got to be a little careful with the timing there like I said there are some redstone contraptions that automate this but the problem is they have to get the timing has to keep changing and changing and it’s really complex redstone no one Really has a great tutorial on that that I know of and I’m not very good at redstone unfortunately but this is the design I used someone was asking me about it now let me show you the end product right so for those of you that Have not seen it this is my flat world basically a last way I do on a super flat world and this is the giant mountain I have created completely legitimately in the game and this would have taken pretty much an insane amount of time if not for the trick I used basically I’d Pillowed it up all the way to sky height with a with a big pillar and then built a bridge out over this spot and kept pouring the cobble down or kept pouring the lob and the water down again and again we got such a big buildup but it Turned into a big mountain and I’m currently in the process of putting dirt all over it waiting for it to turn to grass and then planting a bunch of trees and as you can see I’m almost done with that and then I put some wool at the top To replicate snow because I can’t get snow in the flat world here but yeah this is just an example of what you can do with this little trick it’s not again it’s not the most technical tutorial but I’ve had a few people ask me how I did It so I thought I’d show you guys real quick it’s a really really simple trick so if I didn’t go in-depth enough I’m sorry you can ah you can go look at my old flat world episodes where I explained it and showed the process in a Little bit more detail and I will link that in the description so thank you so much for watching and I’ll see you all next time you Video Information
