Minecraft VR Announcement!!!

Minecraft is coming to the playstation vr this month and i am so so excited when i saw the notification for the twitter tweet right on playstation at first i thought it was one of those uh playstation troll fake twitter accounts but when i clicked it it was their official twitter account so

I knew then that this link to this article was real and by golly it is i’m recording this close to nine o’clock on monday night and i’ve got to get this edited and uploaded ready for tuesday because i’m not going to wait another week to get this out i

Have my normal thursday video ready to go but this has got to come first i’m telling you it’s got to i’m just so so excited so when i first clicked it i saw minecraft as playstation vr support this month i did a quick read on the whole article

And then i’m like i’ve got to make a video and it says new update will allow you to enjoy mojang studios game in full vr this has been much requested and much discussed amongst our minecraft playstation community and players but i can finally say something officially about it

Yes we are bringing playstation vr support to minecraft and we’re doing it very soon this month in fact yes that soon us mojang folks have been bursting to say something about this for ages playstation vr support has actually been planned since they got the thumbs up forum sony to bring the cross platform

And bedrock version to playstation 4. it’s been that long so it’s kind of incredible if you ask me i’m not going to lie and when i was looking at the pictures i the ui is very very very similar to the vive and oculus and why wouldn’t it be you know that was

My one thought and as i read on in the article and as you’ll see it really isn’t much different so they have a little bit of polishing left to do as they say here and then the view the vr’s report will arrive via a patch for the main minecraft game

And everyone who has minecraft for playstation 4 will get that patch automatically so then you can download the patch and get access to it immediately and of course you’ll need psvr support or setup sorry in order to use it all of you have one of those right

I love the little snags they do here in these kind of articles uh and you know they ask you know what is minecraft x playstation vr i hear you say and it says well drum roll it’s minecraft but in stellar vr it is 100 the same minecraft uh same minecraft

Game that you can play every day every week every month every year why does that sound like something vaguely familiar On playstation 4 nothing removed 100 wholesome and pure full fat minecraft okay moving on anyway um and it says like surely there must be something different uh but of course there’s a bunch of new settings and guidance so that you can tweak the vr experience to your needs

Uh saying there’s two ways immersive and living room i’m gonna assume like living room mode is where you’re not moving as much or you’ve got more vignette on uh your headset so you don’t get so much motion sickness as you would on immersive um that’s just from experience playing

Vr but we’ll you know we’ll wait and see we probably don’t have to wait long i’m going to assume because it’s coming this month so you know it’s pretty cool and like the main game you use your dual shot controller to move around and do all the crafting and choppy funny things that

You need to do but you’ll be fully immersed in the minecraft world so they say here i guarantee you will jump out of your skin at some point and uh to finish the article they go on to say like that despite the pandemic develop it on the vr

Has relatively been drama free dare i say it normal even and that the minecraft xps vr experience itself is based on the minecraft vr tech that was developed for other vr platforms such as the oculus and the vive a few years back and skybox labs took that and have been working on their

Magic to convert it and optimize the existing tech for playstation vr i hope it’s really good i hope it’s really well optimized uh and they go and finish this by saying that of course friends at sony have been there all along to guide them because they know their system better than anyone

And i would hope uh it’s been a brilliant team effort and we’re so excited for playstation vr’s player to get experience a gorgeous immersive version of minecraft and to take a quick look okay or not i was going to say to take a quick look
