Minecraft Xbox – Statue Challenge – Battle Mini-game

Hello this is stampy and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today i’m doing another challenge on the the battle mini game uh we are playing on the xbox one today and as you can see there are a whole load of people inside of the game which is only going to make

This challenge more difficult so this is the the way that the the challenge works it’s called the statue challenge and i will start off playing as normal just basically running around trying to get as good loot as i can but as soon as i get into combat so as soon as i’m

Actually attacking someone i need to stand completely still so i can obviously still turn so i can actually hit them and i can obviously attack otherwise you know i can’t i don’t just stop pressing all buttons otherwise there’s literally no way for me to win unless everyone just jumps off the map

So basically run around as normal any time i get into combat stand completely still which is going to be really difficult because the time when you want to be moving most is when you’re fighting when you’re dodging arrows or dodging their attacks or potions and

Stuff then you want to be as mobile as you can to jump around or if you get weak to to escape but during those times i basically just need to to take my thumb off the left analog stick and just stand there and just swing at them so i

Think it means i’m going to need to get better loot than i normally do because i can’t rely on any of my combat skills how whatever combat skills i do have i can’t rely on them because i need to to just basically out power the the people that

I go up against so i really need to to choose my fights carefully and starting off by getting a stick as my melee weapon wasn’t the best start that i was hoping for i do have like a million harming potions though so the humming potions could help me out but if they do

End up like right in my face then that’s not going to be very good for for me and there is someone attacking me already i don’t know if they even have a weapon so let’s let’s just back off from them and not try and deal with them at all oh

They’re chasing me okay i’ve got to stand completely still and i can throw these harming potions and i got rid of one of them oh no but there’s someone else here okay okay i gotta stand still while i’m attacking and i think they think i’m teaming up um let’s have something to eat

And then let’s throw the the weakness potion and then let’s try and get him in the corner and then now i’m attacking so now i’m not allowed to move until i stop attacking and then run away okay let’s let’s get out of here shall we that was like the most

Strange awkward fight ever no i can’t i can’t open the gate i always forget that i can’t open gates here there is a chest down on the the end here though i could try and do a bit of parkour to get up to the the top there don’t know if that’s

Going to be worth the the risk though because it takes a really long time to to get up there and if i end up not getting any good loot then that would just be a huge amount of time wasted speaking of huge uh the map is really

Big uh because there’s so many players in the the game it’s like a bigger version of the the same map so it’s much bigger than the one that i’m used to so like this chest here this just normally isn’t here this is like a little sneaky extra bonus chest the thing that’s

Worrying me most now though is the fact that i have no armor i have no armor whatsoever an arm is probably like the most important thing for me because if i’m standing still i’m going to be taking a lot of damage against all of the different enemies so i really really

Want to get some armor like i kind of care about that more than my weapons right now because i need that to stay alive and oh did i put some armor on okay i got some okay i’m actually i’ve got some um some uh some golden apples

Here as well hello hello okay let’s just run away okay it’s okay i can run because i’m not fighting the second i actually tried to fight back that is what i need to stand still but i do not want to to fight back for for now let’s

Instead have this uh this golden apple and i’m dead Okay so attempt number one of the the statue challenge didn’t go particularly well i got surprised i got greedy going for all of the loot and i got surprised by that person and whoa is there normally is there normally a giant hole in the roof here does santa’s like house normally have

Like a giant hole in the room i guess it normally does i don’t like anything would have just blown a hole into it never noticed that before so right attempt number one is a failure but that is good i’m glad that it’s a failure because it means we can only go up we

Can only improve from here so let me go and cut ahead until we get into the next round and let’s see if i’m going to be able to do any better but this challenge might be even harder than i first thought it would be okay welcome back we are now playing on

Shrunk no big surprise there this one might be okay this is quite a big map but it’s got quite a lot of like hidey holes in it so i might be like have a chance just to like hide somewhere to be able to survive like uh early on just to

Get my my good loot because uh without the loot i’m gonna have no chance but for now i just care about surviving at the beginning here because there are people absolutely all over the place i do not want to end up getting knocked down so oh someone’s thrown that was

Like a like a harming potion or something i gotta get out of here this is dangerous there’s a chest up the end here that’s gonna be really dangerous for for me to go for it in case there are people following behind me but there

We go i was able to get a bow so this could end up actually being okay i think the person chasing me may have just lagged out of the game which might have been just about the best time for someone to lag out a game ever if that

Person was about to get me so let’s go let’s try and uh bounce my way down here just to go and try and get this uh this loot on top of the dinosaur here there’s still a whole load of people in the game so i’m definitely not free yet but once

Again no armor there we go that was my first bit of armor that i’ve got so far i’m getting so bad luck with uh with not getting hardly any armor and that is making things much more uh difficult for me a lot of people are lagging out of

The game i always have a really bad connection on xbox one compared to like xbox 360 or ps4 for some reason so people do join and leave the the game quite a lot so hopefully you don’t find that i know i got the text but you know what i’m going

To take any little bonus i can get and if people lag out the game and it means there’s less people for me to try and survive against then i’m just going to take that as a little victory and oh there was a um there was an axe in there

Let’s go and grab the the axe hopefully i don’t get surprised on and i won and i won there oh that mean it was difficult there was challenges i had to face there were ups and downs but overall i tried my best and i overcame

All of my obstacles and i got a heroic a heroic victory only joking never lagged out the game so i won by default but hey i will take a victory honestly i’m going to count that as a victory because i was able to stay in the game and everyone else didn’t

Therefore i am the winner only joking we won’t count that one but let’s go and cut ahead straight into the next round to see if i can have a a proper victory okay folks we are now playing on frontier oh look at that they’re sharing a space this like they’re like stuck

Inside of each other i think like more people joined at the same time they’re just like like okay you guys can share we will go and put you two together right then oh there’s so many people here i need to go i need to go i don’t

Know where to go i’m panicking like everywhere i ran there was like someone else already running that way that i panicked and nowhere to go okay i think if we escape the the early rush like as long as i just survived for like the first few seconds in the game i just

Feel so much happier just like sometimes you just get someone like charging you down straight away then you just feel like you got nowhere to go but we got a stick not the uh the strongest of weapons but hey a weapon is a weapon and we’ve got some iron armor actually at

All okay there’s someone here i’ve got to stand still i’m going to be a statue oh no okay there’s another stampy cat coming i think i might bear webs okay i can use my bow i can use my bow i can’t like just charge and start hitting them

Though i got to kind of hang back a little bit there we go that was another nice hit so let’s move forward but then when i start attacking i need to stand still so i’m going to stand exactly still now i don’t know

Or did he fall oh yes i took him out i was able i was able to scare him away by just how bold i was being and just standing still he was like whoa he must be so tough just to just to stand there

And take all of the damage so i think i was able to scare him away that way there’s another cat here i couldn’t attack them yet because i was moving around so i had to wait until i was standing still and i did not want to stand still in the middle of nowhere

Down there you know what being on the top of a ladder this might be a great place to be like not just in general i don’t just love ladders but like if i stand up here and people come up the the ladder and i can just boink them down

Like whack-a-mole then that could actually be a really great way but oh there’s someone down here and i might be able to to get this person so i kind of need them to attack me almost because if i attack them then they’re just going to

Run away so there we go attack me attack me keep attacking keep attacking because i can’t come to you keep attacking me keep it oh no no stop attacking me i changed my mind i changed my mind yeah i was too confident why was i too confident i was too confident and hit

The target i hate the target was the the winner that’s mug marty sorry 9000 was the the winner god this is going really tough this is a really challenging challenge so what i’m going to do is i’m going to set the the the limit for how

Many people can be in the game i’m going to change that just because i think the game fills up too much and then just everyone ends up lagging out all at the same time so let’s go and uh and change it around so less people can join so let’s say

Oh it’s really all or nothing isn’t it let’s set the limit to eight but eight people will be able to join in and then hopefully we won’t have people lagging out of the game not that i think that would have made a huge difference with my bad performance in that round but we

Gotta win one and we’ve gotta win one properly not by just everyone lagging out of the other games all right once again let me go and cut ahead until we’ve had eight players join in and we can go straight into the next round and see if i can finally win one of these

Things okay welcome back we now have a game with a players in we are playing on the the map crucible which isn’t a good map for me because it’s gonna be way easier for me to be knocked in lava when i’m not moving so yeah i gotta be very very careful that i

Don’t get snuck up on at all during this it’s annoying there was a sword in that chest that i looked in but because like my pockets were already full i wasn’t able to to pick it up so sadly we are going to be starting off uh proceedings

Hitting people with a stick it will set them on fire but it’s not going to do a a huge amount of damage apart from that hello hello hello hello okay i’ve got to stand still i’m going to stand still um are you are you leaving okay goodbye

It’s funny because like they don’t know it but if anyone’s like been attacked by me and they think they’re gonna lose like all they need to do is just like walk away like just go a block away and like i can’t do anything against them

Like all they need to do is just step back ever so slightly from me and then they’re going to be able to like survive from you know oh i thought that was a person ah that was dangerous that was really down what was i doing there i just like dived

Into the lava that was very very scary at all there’s someone down there um right i got these i got these harming potions i don’t think they saw me though and i didn’t really get a chance to chase after them so they’re they’re okay for now they’re all right let’s let’s leave

Them to them and let’s leave me to me let’s hope i’m gonna be able to to survive i really don’t remember where any of the chests are on this map whatsoever so i’m just gonna have to to wander around as blindly as i can and just try and hope that one just drops

Down in front of me or something because otherwise i am not gonna get any loot here so is this that i think this is the one i got earlier yep that one has not been refilled i guess so far so good i’m still alive and i got

Okay armor is the good thing uh i got a bow with no arrows though and no proper melee weapon so they’re the bad things so the bad things probably do outweigh the the good things at the moment but look there’s a chest right down there in

That cage so can we just drop down from like here and then can i drop down into oh i can’t get into the cage from here oh yeah okay oh that’s the one i need to get into so let’s jump into the roof and there we go now i can drop down through

The ceiling and okay we’ve got a sword we’ve got a sword swords are good swords are good let’s go and get a healing potion as well okay armor i got a sword still would love some bows that’s gonna be the the big thing for for me at the

The moment is getting some some bows so i guess we can kind of just jump around this little loop here there’s gonna be oh hello hello okay harming potion harming potion i got them there we go without moving i was good then i did not move a muscle while i was attacking them

And i was able to take them out with my harming potions they were like my my best attack though my harming potion so i’ve used up all but two of them is there any other i’m gonna be careful so i don’t want to be snuck up on at all i

Think there’s some good leggings down here let’s go and grab the leggings there we go i got some iron leggings on everything else doesn’t seem to be too great actually there is an enchanted bow here still don’t have any arrows so it’s still basically useless but hey when i

Do get some arrows it’s going to be even better than the normal one so let’s have a bit of a look around there’s a chest down in the middle here and all no one’s got it yet it’s a very it’s a very dangerous one to go for without a

Um a fire resistance potion but you know what oh i did not think i was in the fire then like i think just like my tail touched it as i was walking past i did not think i was going to land another fire but this is okay i do have a i do

Have healing potions if i need and oh why i didn’t touch it you saw that i did not touch it but whoa i think this is going to be worth it because i was able to get loads and loads and loads of good loot oh is it because it’s soul sand i

Think because it’s soul sand just me standing here is like hurting me anyway let’s go and grab some of these uh these poison potions though and then uh some golden apples as well hopefully i’m not being too greedy here there’s also a helmet in there i’d love to grab so

Let’s go and throw this helmet away and then let’s go and grab the the better helmet oh there’s a fire there’s this sword here let’s go and grab that and okay let’s not be too greedy there’s probably other stuff i could grab from there but i just want to get out of here

Because if someone catches me here then i’m going to be in big trouble oh no don’t kill me golden apple let’s have a golden apple and no we’re in the the showdown so everyone’s going to know exactly where i am right now i know that i’m probably burning away down here so

Let’s go and get a get my hunger up we can go and put my uh poison arrows into my second hand and then let’s go and see if we can uh push up and try and take out the final person we’re down to a 1v1

This is going good this is the the best chance so far but the person i’m up against has probably got some pretty decent loot by now so i’m not expecting an easy fight whatsoever but at least i have some arrows that i can shoot i have

A decent sword and i still have a two golden apples as well so i might as well just go and eat one of these just to start off with there seems to be fire all over the place and even even more fire than the normally is on this map i

Can’t even put the fire out i just got to go and jump over and oh i literally set myself on fire to start the fight that could have not been worse but let’s go and try and do some damage let’s do the the harming position yes without

Moving a muscle standing still on the spot i was able to take them out and get my first victory in the statue challenge i have proved it’s possible but land now let’s see if i can prove that it’s uh it’s repeatable i guess i’ve done it once let’s see if i can do

It again on a different map so which map shall we vote for does it really matter because everyone’s probably gonna vote for a different map anyway let’s vote for haven’t done invasion very much invasion isn’t one of my favorite maps but hey i always like

To do maps that we don’t end up playing too much so yep that’s going to be the the map i’m going to vote for but we’re going to see what we’re going to end up playing when we actually get into the game okay well i won the the map vote

But let’s see where i’m going to be able to actually win the the game itself as i said i don’t play for invasion very much so i’m not i’m not like an invasion expert so it’s not like aha invasion finally i can win i don’t know i want to get that

Chest i want to get the chest faster faster faster and i missed it i missed it oh that’s so annoying but i saw that they got a pickaxe so i want to run away from that penguin and there we go okay at least i got something to kind of defend myself and

Let’s go for the the old ladder strategy because if they climb up i can just kind of stay still on the ladder and keep knocking them down i guess might be a might be a way just to stay alive in the early game but i’d rather uh just get

Some decent loot as my wave four for being able to survive i do have a fishing rod as well and a fishing rod might actually not be too bad on this map because you can kind of like knock people out of the the way and there’s

Some fire arrows in here oh hello hello okay whoa he sent me flying right let’s run away and then let’s try and stand still now i’m not allowed to move i’m not allowed to move no don’t knock me off don’t knock me off where is he where

Is he where are you okay i’m gonna run away i’m gonna run away i’m gonna run away i’m allowed to move as long as i’m not attacking at all i nearly fell off okay let’s just hide here i don’t have any healing stuff let’s just try and hope when i get my

Health up if someone attacks me i have a knock back shovel i might be able to knock them down i might be able to knock them down oh no don’t knock me down don’t knock me down i’m not allowed to move i’m not allowed to move he’s going

To knock me down he’s going to not be down oh i knocked him back onto the ladder okay i’m going to run i’m going to run again i’m going to jump into the ladder and i’m just going to get out of here because there’s oh no okay i’ve got

To stay still i’m fighting i’ve got to stay still i don’t know i’m gonna fall okay i’m just gonna run i’m gonna run i’m not fighting i’m not fighting again okay i’m gonna sit in this corner i’m gonna sit in this corner and if anyone attacks me then i’m gonna shoot them

With my little arrows okay uh so let’s go and get an arrow on this guy oh i scared him off i scared him off i’m switching my arm i don’t know he’s shooting me i can’t dodge i can’t dodge i just need to try and out shoot him

Let’s just get the bow ready where’s he gonna come from there’s a penguin who’s hunting me oh he’s easy he’s drinking something hopefully that wasn’t strength there’s probably healing i’d imagine because it seems like they’re quite hurt and i don’t know i can’t miss these arrows i got i got to

Be better with these arrows i can’t miss them i’m not allowed to move at all was there someone else over there i think that might have just been a bat i don’t know if this person’s waiting to ambush me and bats don’t get in my way hey

Looks like they might have gone for for now let’s have something to eat and let’s see if we can let’s see if we can make our exits i’m allowed to move i’m not attacking i’m just moving i’m just moving where’s the penguin where’s the penguin where’s the penguin

I don’t like this that was such a horrible fight oh i just saw i’m so sure i was gonna fall off i just couldn’t move and i was right on the edge and i’d even have to just attack or run i probably should have just ran to be fair

That that would have probably been the the smart way to go about things let’s throw this armor off the edge if i can’t have it i don’t want anyone to have it so i go and grab a few more potions not the best potions but hey a potion is a

Potion let’s have some swiftness and some invisibility and let’s see if we can go and grab a little bit better look i’m doing all right for luke i’m doing okay i’m doing better than i have done in some of the the previous rounds so i’m not crazy crazy worried about that

It’s just this is a really bad map to do this challenge on to stand still when you’re like hanging over the edge of somewhere is just not a not a nice feeling it’s not a nice place to be i can see though that there is a chest down there

Which has had its loot refilled so let’s uh let’s try and jump my way down to here this might hurt a bit but i want to be as fast as i can because we’re down into the the showdown now and uh it is a 1v1 showdown as well no no

This chest was uh okay oh hello hello oh okay i’m running i’m running i’m running i’m not fighting what hurt me what hurt me then don’t even know what i was uh let’s have a uh let’s have a regeneration potion what was hurting me then where were they are they invisible

I don’t even know what that was something was hurting me there or someone and i have no idea where they were so let’s uh let’s just not go that way where are they it’s the showdown i should be able to see oh i can hear arrows there’s arrows being fired at me oh

There they are look oh look at all these arrows they’ve been trying to fire at me let’s just go and gather up some of these arrows right let’s go for a bow battle there’s going to be a tricky one because i can’t dodge i just need to

Stand completely still and try and try and hit them better than they can hit me but they can dodge right i’m going to move again get into another position and all they’ve run back into the middle so they’re getting all of the loop that respawns back in the the middle which is

Going to be a problem because they’re probably going to get crazy crazy equipped right now i just need to make sure if i am going into a bow battle i’m not in a position where i can just go and be knocked off the the edge and oh i

Got some more some more poison arrows right i don’t want to start fighting them here because i’m way too close to the the edge let’s move up have something to to eat and then let’s go and try and reposition and try and once again get him with the

The bow the problem is they can move all over the place he is like the easiest shot in the the world to hit me because when i’m attacking i just need to stay really still i might have a better bow than him though actually i did some nice

Damage right uh although he did a lot of damage against me as well there actually i just i just got a glimpse of my health i also don’t have any food either so i’m gonna be really careful about that but it looks like i won the battle for the

The middle and there’s not very much time left either in the the game i really just want some food to be honest i can have a uh a potion of healing and oh no they won they won the game because they had done more damage than me let’s see how close

This was ah so annoying i would have charged in and used my shovel so i did 42 hearts of damage and they did 85 they i mean they like doubled my score to be fair they did deserve to win that game that was such a crazy intense game

Though i was just happy to survive when i was on the edge of that building to be fair right then that was the statue challenge it was even harder than i thought it was going to be but still a whole load of fun if you like to see this challenge
