Monkiedude22 – How to Create a Realm in Minecraft on Xbox, Windows 10, Nintendo Switch and Pocket Editions

What is going on everybody monkey do 22 here for another tip trick or tutorial video and in this video today in my Minecraft series I’m going to show you how to start up and create your own minecraft realm on Xbox one now this tutorial will also cover the Pocket

Editions of Minecraft that’s going to be Android and iOS it’ll also cover the Windows 10 version as well as the Nintendo switch version now disclaimer Nintendo switch version is not out yet as of the filming of this video I’ll make sure to update the description as soon as I know that the

Minecraft on Nintendo switch version is available so basically how to create a Minecraft realm on any different version as the new Minecraft who’s basically you’re gonna hit a on play or tap it if you’re using the mobile device from here it’s gonna bring you to the world selection screen so you’re basically

Going to see any worlds that you have locally stored you’re gonna be able to see any realms that you own you can go over to the right and you can see any other friends realms that are adjoining as well as any servers that you can currently join that are featured by

Minecraft to create a new realm what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna press a on to create a new and then it’s gonna ask you what kind of world do you want to create so we’re gonna select a new realm and then create new world so once

We do that we’ll have the option to of course name the realm monkey-do twenty-twos realm is what we have right now that’s perfectly fine but if i wanted to change that i can go ahead and remove characters add characters anything like that in between then we

Get to pick the duration we can pick it for either 30 days or 180 days and basically that’s of course is just gonna be how long that your realm is gonna be open and available for you you can also choose the tier so it can be you and two

Players or you and ten players that’s basically the different kind of tier and you notice as we change the tier from two to ten as well as from 30 to 180 days on the bottom here this price will change so it’ll let you know how much

It’s going to cost to do a 30 day or 180 days and with two players or ten players of course once you’re done selecting the different parameters that you want you’ll want to make sure that you view the terms and conditions and make sure that you agree to those

Before selecting a on I agree and then press a to create the realm it’ll basically take you through the purchasing progress here which I’ll show you the screen what it looks like and right here you can see on the screen that you can actually use an account

Balance so if you do not have a credit card or a debit card or PayPal or anything like that you can use your account balance this is something new for minecraft realms of course you also have the options to select different card info MasterCard Visa American Express PayPal all that different kind

Of stuff well once you’re done with that you’re gonna go ahead and hit buy and then it’s gonna go ahead and create that minecraft realm for you now once you’ve created that realm I didn’t go ahead and create that one because I already have one but this is what its gonna look like

You’re gonna go ahead and be able to press a to take a look at that realm and it’s gonna bring you right into your world or alternatively you can go over here to the edit button and press a on that and then it’s gonna bring up all of

The different options for your world you can of course play from this menu right here you can select the game and you can change your realm name you can change the difficulty from peaceful easy normal hard you can change the game mode from survival creative and adventure you can

Also enable or disable cheats that’s certainly something you can do there just remember that if you’re–if activating cheats it’s going to disable achievements for that world so make sure you keep an eye on that you can also download your world so for example if you know people are playing in the world

And you want to have a backup of it you can certainly download that world and it’s going to go ahead and initialize and then download that world locally to your console so that way you’ll have a backup maybe for example you want to create something new but you’re not sure

If you want to keep it you can just go ahead and create a backup to that world and right there that’s going to go ahead and import that level so now you have that there it’s all done basically if you want to replace the world so

Basically if you have a version of your world that’s currently on the realm and you want to replace it go ahead and go to replace world and press a from here it basically is going to have you confirm we’ll remove your current world from your realm and let you replace it with a

New one your realm members won’t have access to your content world anymore do you want to continue this is the current world so basically the one that you’re removing they won’t be able to access it anymore only you will and if you decide to re-upload it to your realm so you can

Press a to confirm that and then it’s gonna go ahead and let you pick which world that you have locally that you want to upload if you have a world that you’re not seeing here that you created on Xbox one basically what you want to

Do is you want to make sure first and foremost that you are signed into the same account that you used on minecraft Xbox one edition and then if you’re not seeing it on the list go ahead and click a on sync old worlds and you should find

It there just follow the prompts and it’ll show you what you need to do but basically what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna go ahead and replace it with this one right here and it’s gonna go ahead and export and initialize the upload boom it’s all done it was only two point

Two megabytes done let’s go so that’s it the new world is now on the realm and you can basically use it as normal now if you wanted to reset the world basically you hit a on that and basically it will permanently delete any world that’s currently set in the realm

And it will create a new one so basically if you wanted to start brand new in a new survival world or new creative world this is a quick and easy way to just reset it so that there is no current world that you have uploaded or one that’s been there previously so

That’s how that works and of course from here you can back up and go over to subscription and you can see the size of your realm and the duration remaining on your subscription you can close the realm at any point here or you can extend the realm for

Another 30 days or 180 days with the price right there listed you can also change the size as well and of course you can close the realm and basically what this will do is it’ll shut it down completely anyone currently playing on the realm will be disconnected are you
