NEW METHOD How to Get Custom Mods, Texture Packs, Skins and Worlds for Minecraft Xbox! UPDATE FIX!

All right yo what’s going on everybody it is Smitty back with another Minecraft tutorial video and in today’s video everyone we are looking at how to get any Minecraft Bedrock mod working on any Xbox console Xbox One Xbox series console here’s how you do it November 19th 2022 this is still working this

Will be very similar to the basically the methods that I uploaded throughout the last month ever since the October 5th update which absolutely broke everything and doing this actually saved all of my corrupted worlds and stuff so doing this method is definitely beneficial for me but there are some

Reports to people on next-gen consoles if you’ve made progress on your world since the October 5th update doing this method which is going to involve reinstalling the game might lose your progress that you’ve made since October 5th but it doesn’t seem to happen to everyone so I don’t know it’s kind of

Confusing you might lose progress for some reason this doesn’t happen to me and I’m on Xbox One S and this works perfect for me all my data saves but I don’t know there’s just no predictable outcome sometimes so I will say there is

A little bit of a risk to do this but if you want to get add-ons this is the only way I know how to do it if you need any help at all be sure to join my Discord down below link below and nmc support chat there I can definitely help you out

But this video will show three different methods to getting mods just start with the first one if it doesn’t work go on to the second one and then go on to the third one but here’s the first method to how to get mods on Minecraft Xbox let’s

Do it so the first thing you want to do is make sure you have all of your add-ons that you want in their proper folders in the com dot Mojang folder if you have no idea how to do this again I can help you out my Discord but link

Down below I have a playlist in the description it will show you how to get any add-on that you want into the folders if you want a Shader right there it’s a Shader if you want a texture pack right there there’s mods whatever you’re looking for go into this playlist click

On the video you want and it will show you how to get whatever skin packs mods anything and it will show you how to get your add-ons into their proper folders but once your add-ons are in their folders come back to this video and here’s the new final step you have to do

In order to load these add-ons into your game oh okay so we have all of our custom add-ons in the comdot Mojang folder ready to be loaded so where we’re at right now is I have normal Minecraft installed on my Xbox I just typed in a Minecraft on the shop and I installed

The normal Minecraft what you probably already have installed the one that says included in game pass on the Microsoft store but once we’re here from our home screen the first thing we want to do is make sure that our Microsoft store is all the way up to date so if you just go

Ahead and find your Microsoft Store you press on it with the button with the three lines on it right of your center button you can go to manage app and see if there’s like any update here or anything but just make sure you have this all the way up to date and once

You’re sure it’s all the way up to date go ahead and launch the Microsoft shop and once you are inside of the Microsoft shop you want to go ahead and find the search bar like you would any other day and once you’re in the search you want

To go ahead and type in Minecraft now instead of going to the game pass version we are going to find the Minecraft starter bundle right here it says thirty dollars this is the one you want you won’t have to buy it don’t worry it’s free but you want to press on

The Minecraft starter bundle right here remember we’re not buying this but once you’re at this screen you want to start scrolling down keep scrolling down until you get to where it says in this bundle and once you get here you’ll see plastic texture pack or anything whatever pops

Up here texture pack press on it it should be plastic texture pack but go ahead and press on whatever pops up first here and once you press on it then you want to go ahead and scroll down again until you get to where it says works with right here and once you get

To where it says works with you will see this version of Minecraft right here and this is the version of Minecraft that we want to install so once you see this it’ll look like this go ahead and press on it it will take you to an install

Page and you want to go ahead and just simply press install on this version of Minecraft and it will then say install and View and queue and just like any other game one it will start installing now it can be a little bit slow for me

It takes a long time but just be patient it will load out it takes a long time for it to move for me sometimes 10 15 minutes but nevertheless it will install all the way now that we have done this you will see it appear as your first

Minecraft right there all the way to the left of your recently installed and our next step is that we want to go ahead and uninstall the other Minecraft that we have on our device so we have two Minecrafts on our device right now you want to go ahead and find the other

Minecraft that you have installed originally before you install the starter bundle and this will be the Game Pass version of the game and we want to get rid of this one by uninstalling it so you want to go ahead and hover over it find it on your device and you want

To go ahead and press the button with the three lines on it right of the center button and once you do that you will get these options to appear from the side you’ll get these drop down options and you want to go to where it says manage game and add-ons okay so you

Go ahead press unmanage game and add-ons and you guys know how to do it basically we’re just going to go ahead and uninstall this version of the game but you want to make sure this is the right version to uninstall and to know if it’s the right version you want to check

Added size right here it’s 2.7 gigabytes that is the proper size if it’s over two gigabytes that means it’s the right one to uninstall and that is where you want to check before you want to install this but go ahead and now you want to uninstall this version of Minecraft

Because you know it is The Game Pass version because it is over two gigabytes so go ahead and press right here it’ll say you’re about to uninstall that’s okay go ahead and press uninstall and you’ll then see that 2.7 go down to zero and that is how you know it is now off

Of your device leaving one Minecraft remaining on your console and this would be the starter bundle version that we just downloaded a couple minutes ago so now we only have one Minecraft on our Xbox and that is perfect now that we just have this one from the starter

Bundle remaining we want to go ahead and try to launch it and once you try to launch it it’ll say Minecraft needs an update and that is perfect go ahead and press on the update button right here and that will begin the update for your Minecraft now for me the update doesn’t

Move for like 25 minutes so you might think it’s not working people on next-gen consoles it goes quick but for me it literally takes like 30 minutes to install this little update so it will be moving trust the process just let it sit for 30 minutes and then come back and

You will see it now installed onto your device so right here I actually left my Xbox it kind of fell asleep and the uh it installed itself after 30 minutes and then finally I returned to my Xbox to see in my recently installed one Minecraft right here press on that

Minecraft it’ll launch and once it loads up this will be the proper version of Minecraft that you will have all of your add-ons loaded into you can go ahead and activate Global resource packs all of your custom custom skin packs will appear all of your mods you can add mods

To Worlds and just everything should be good and balanced in the universe and again if you check your worlds this also saved all of my corrupted worlds since the October 5th update so it did that for me but hopefully it does the same for all of you enjoy the add-ons thank

You all so much and now let’s get into method number two if for some reason that one didn’t work here’s method number two all right what’s going on everybody Welcome to Method number two on how to get add-ons now make sure all of your add-ons are in their proper

Folders in the com dot Mojang folder on your Xbox and here’s what you want to do but go ahead and now remember you have your Minecraft uninstalled mine showing right there but just yours will be uninstalled make sure your game’s uninstalled and what we need for this

Version is actually a computer or a phone so if you have any device at all literally because we just need to install Minecraft to our Xbox from a second device so we first have to set our Xbox up to do this so what you want

To do on your Xbox is press the middle button scroll all the way over to the right of your screen to your profile and then you want to go down to where it says settings once you press on settings it’ll then take you this screen right

Here and from the screen you want to go down to where it says device and connections and we’re going to go ahead and select device and connections and go over to the right side right here where it says remote features and we’re going to of course press this box that says

The remote features and once you press on this box it’ll make you enter in your pass key so go ahead and do that but once you have your password enter in as I showed on my screen you’ll then see enable remote features right here and

That is the box that we want to make sure is check marked so go ahead and check mark this box and once you check mark this box it’ll actually say like setting up your device or testing your setup it’ll maybe take like two minutes so give it some time let it load and

Eventually it’ll give you this screen once your setup is tested that pretty much says just next right here so you can go ahead and you can press next and after you press on next it’ll then give you the final screen that says close and that is perfect your console is now

Ready for remote play which is what we had to do now what we need is the link to the proper Minecraft 2 install so you’ll have to go into the description of the this video and in the description I have a direct link for Minecraft that

Will take you to the Microsoft store to look something like this so on your second device PC tablet phone whatever go ahead and press that link in the description and once you do that it will take you to this screen right here once you’re at this screen the first thing

You want to look at is if you’re signed in in the top right you’ll see a sign in button and you have to sign into your Xbox account hopefully know the password but you have to sign into the Microsoft Account associated with your Xbox account so go ahead and do that now go

And get signed in if you’re not I’m now signed into my account and once you do this very simply you will see the install to button right here nice and green and you want to go ahead and press on that install button and once you press on that it’ll pretty much ask you

Which console you want to install it to and you just select your Xbox which will appear in these options very simple process and once you have that go ahead and press the install now green button on the bottom right and then of course that will start installing it to your

Xbox and you’ll notice the change on your Xbox when you go on your Xbox you’ll see it installing in your queue and then from your home screen I just go down to where it says my AI games and apps and I click on that option and

After I press on my games and apps I go down the left side right here to where it says manage and then this is just going to be to my downloads I press on manage and after you press on manage I just go to queue and then once you are

Inside of the queue you can very easily see this Minecraft installing right here and it will take a little bit of time but nevertheless this is the right version it’ll probably eventually say like 900 megabytes or whatever up there on the right side that’s perfect but just let this Minecraft install and

Remember it does take a little bit of time but trust the process it is going but once that version of the game is done installing right here it’ll get up to a hundred percent and then it will eventually say Minecraft installed you’ll see it appear in your recently

Installed right here and we’re going to go ahead and click on it in the recently installed list and once you actually click on this it’ll then say that Minecraft needs an update and this is a very good sign and what you want to do is now go ahead and press on the update

Button right here because we actually have to install another thing and this one takes longer than what we just did but it will begin installing the 1.7 gigabyte update and honestly this from me takes like 25 minutes so a pretty slow process but it is a small price to

Pay for salvation but nevertheless after 25 30 minutes you’ve come back and you will see this update is done installing and then you will then see the new Minecraft appear in your recently installed ahead of the other one and you want to of course press on this version

Of the game it’ll probably say getting your game ready I just go to the home screen here but eventually it will load you into the Minecraft that you just clicked on and once this Minecraft starts loading up it is the updated version it is the correct version and

Once you load in you’ll have all your Global texture packs you’ll have all your custom skins and everything will just be balanced in the world and you can go ahead and enjoy all your mods and everything and hopefully this helped you guys out this is the current working

Method if this breaks eventually I’ll find a new one but enjoy all your add-ons everyone thank you so much and now let’s move on to Method number three alright so for method number three here this will only work on the Xbox series consoles if you’re on an Xbox One this

Will not work but if for some reason the first two methods didn’t work here is Method number three we call it here’s it out written for you if you want the written step right here but yes this will involve us reinstalling Minecraft from the Xbox app on our phone so here’s

How you do it okay so where I’m at is I have all of my add-ons in their proper folders in the com.mojing folder I have completely uninstalled Minecraft off of my console and now I go into the Xbox app on my phone and from the Xbox app

What you want to do is go to the middle bottom right here to the search bar and once you see the search bar you want to go ahead and select games right here and from the games we’re going to go ahead and type in Minecraft because obviously

That’s the game we’re going to reinstall once you type in Minecraft it’ll load right here it’ll be the top option it looks like this and you want to press on this version of Minecraft so go ahead and click on that but once you click on it you will see this green button right

Here and this green button should say install too if it says launch to console try to restart your console restart the app try to sign out and sign back into the Xbox app if it says launch to console but it should say install to or something along those lines but pretend

This green button says install too so once it does that press the green button it’ll say what device do you want to install to and you will see your Xbox right there and basically just want to select your Xbox it’ll look more like this and once you’re on the screen you

Want to make sure it says the Minecraft you are installing is less than one gigabyte right here it says about 900 megabytes that’s how you know it’s the right version if it’s like 1.7 gigabytes don’t do this method it won’t work that means it’s probably been patched but if

It’s more than like 1.5 gigabytes do not install that version of Minecraft this method won’t work anymore but it should say less than one gigabyte for you and that’s how you know it is the proper version of Minecraft so go ahead and get that under one gigabyte version of

Minecraft installing onto your console so you’ll notice the change on your Xbox when you go on your Xbox you’ll see it installing in your queue and then from your home screen I just go down to where it says my games and apps and I click on
