Oculus Quest Minecraft – How To Play On Virtual Desktop With Touch Controllers

Supported minecraft with 6 degrees of motion on the oculus quest honestly it’s incredibly easy but you’re going to need a few things first first of all you need to have your quest set up to stream games from a steam VR from your PC because minecraft isn’t a super graphically intensive game you won’t

Need a super gaming PC to do this if minecraft runs on your current PC or laptop then it should work just fine if you’re not set up with steamvr streaming and then the first thing to do is download the Steam client and install it

And set up an account if it isn’t set up already I will leave a link in the description you are also going to need to install steam VR which allows you to play VR games through Steam and I will leave a link to that as well once you’re

All set up with steam and the next step is to set up to stream it to your quest from your PC I just did a how-to video on exactly this so I will leave a link in the description for you to check out my tutorial uses virtual desktop and so

Far that’s the only way I’ve tested this to get it working after you are set up to stream to your quest it’s time to get minecraft ready now obviously you’re going to need to have minecraft installed for this to work this method works with the most recent build as well

As the previous several the first thing you need to do is head over and download 5 crafts but you can find a link to in the description before you install 5 crafts make sure that you have run the minecraft Launcher at least once if you have a fresh install just to make sure

All the game folders are in place also make sure that the minecraft Launcher is closed before you start the installation as well next run the vive craft installer I left everything to the default settings so no need to worry about any of the check boxes if you want

To run forge mods make sure to check that box click install and then let vive Kraft install the needed files once the installation is done exit the Installer and then run the minecraft Launcher now it’s time to leave your PC and jump into the quest headset connect to your PC

Using virtual desktop and you will see the minecraft Launcher click on the installations tab and find the vive craft installation click on play and wait for steamvr to launch give it just a minute while everything compiles and then voila you are in minecraft VR take a few minutes to get used to the

Controls but overall the default mapping seems to work quite well is totally different in your experience in VR and it’s creepy going into the ocean let me tell you so that’s my super simple tutorial for playing Minecraft with motion control support on the oculus quest what’s the first thing
