PineleafNeedles – Minecraft Mage Rage November 2021: Map 4 Ep 3

Welcome back everyone to major age four november 2021 where it looks like we found ourselves a little bit of lapis which is of course not what we’re looking for what we’re looking for is redstone and looks like we found instead of some lapis and some diamonds or i should say some lapis

And some lava as hoping to try the old diamond trick one last time before the release of 1.18 which will ruin that entire procedure and yeah i’m not going to go through the lava i don’t need diamonds that much what i’m really needing is redstone so i’m going

To just continue on digging my way until i find some and i’ll probably grab some any iron that i see along the way and if i’m lucky i will have enough iron for all of my needs before long yes just a bit of digging and eventually in nebulae i would find this redstone

That should be enough 14 well i think that’s many times more than what i really need but might as well go for a little bit of overkill and bring this back into the to the furnace and friends there we go now let’s see what all what we need here we’ve got

Redstone so with redstone we want a piston right piston what i really need to do is to let’s get rid of a stack of cobble get rid of oh to the chest into there get rid of the tough get rid of i just stick that into there

Now what do i want to do i want to get a piston all right it’s just a regular piston all right good that takes care of that little bit redstone lamp i’ll just put the redstone into there so that’s where the redstone lamp is eventually going to go calcite well

I guess i’ll put the granite in there for now because if i just remove it then more granite is gonna actually diorite would probably be a better signal for that one simply because it’s closer to the same color so therefore we have calcite so mushroom stem we have snowy block

We’re going to need that at some point we need blaze rods there we’ve got two items actually no we only have half the chains we need we have a piston we need a redstone for its own lamp and there is our trapped chest all right good

So far so good but we’re going to need a lot more anything else down here well we do need iron still so i guess there is still more mining to do it just doesn’t matter as much at what level i am when i do it so perhaps

A little bit higher world might be a little bit safer i’m getting tired of mining iron so what i’m going to do is i am going to use up one of the pieces of iron that i have remaining make some flint and steel and i will

Build a little bit of another portal so that i can head over there maybe avoid the steel the gravel get rid of gravel i need i guess i need everything else well maybe not need but i’ll keep everything else for the moment now where can i build another portal that so that

Won’t get in my way let’s try this right over here yeah right where i was mining before nothing can go wrong right there we go let’s two three four a little bit of a portal there you go one another portal actually before i do that i better make that

Shirt i was talking about earlier let’s see we want to have an i see a golden shirt not making anything else out of iron at the moment good we got 11 pieces how about keeping that for barter for the time being so let’s head on over into the nether see what happens

Oh when i do so but just in case i might as well grab these mementos to make sure that if i do get killed i’ll have my stuff with me let’s go oh my goodness gracious now what was it i needed over here striders are here oh yes glowstone

That’s the most important thing yet at least see close to where is there some glowstone ah there it is glowstone am i close enough let’s see glowstone 19 glowstone dust right good those are zombified piglets so no regular piglets around is there anything else i could get at the nether

Oh yes i wanted to see if there was a fortress in the area just in case there was a convenient place for blaze rods here so i have a feeling that it’s not gonna be the case i always had trouble finding these fortresses in any case how about what happens if i

Blink up to here and do a quick check no no no no no absolutely not well then if that’s the case let’s just head on back to the overworld and call that portion done i got back in one piece at least now let’s see what we have we want oops

All right we’ve got glowstone and i think we put that put this with i think it’s four pieces of redstone dust yep good that’s another item so if i have things reckoned right i’ve got five of my items see one two three four five all right i

Need a lot more iron i need some snow i need some calcite and i need a blaze rod so i guess since i’m tired of doing iron mining for now let’s head over to the magic realm oh boy this is going to be fun isn’t it

Welcome back to the magic realm now did i see something pop over the edge no it’s always puts my shields there and what’s here and i seem to always come here with the full inventory you would think that ah there you go there is some snow up there

That should at least get me the snow that’s one item that i can use so let’s head over there get the snow so that’ll be so we get snow block let’s see it is what is that yeah let’s see that looks like all right so the snow block goes right over here

We might as well grab that too it gives us snow blocks so that’ll be another item down now let’s see if i can find one of those purple areas because that’s going to be the next because i need a purple area and i need a blaze rod oh and i need a metal

Works in the metal works might be a good place to also find some oops to daisy you should go on underground and done some mining or something like that the problem is it’s harder to keep track because of how short the nights are so i’m just thinking that

Well if i did that then by the time i’m all done with it will be already daytime again i’ll lose half the day that’s what it feels sometimes when i am trying to do anything the day is over before you know it it’s also hard to see those

Purple mountains and all that whenever you’re over on this here especially here where i’ve got end stone in the light let’s see this is all sorts of weird stuff but where are the purple lands yes but it’s going to be run run run until i get killed most likely because that’s

Where things work in the magic realm i see purple up ahead so i will try it over that way and i’m not talking about the purper either which also happens to be of that type of color it looks like we also got a metal works in the area um

Might be able to find some blazes around here but let me try finding the amethyst area first uh here’s some calcite right here all right there we go calcite so then you have to look for an amethyst node you get calcite right on the ground good

That’s one two three four five six that just means a blaze rod and lots of iron and let’s see let’s get rid of this apple tuck it nice and safely in my stomach and now we’re in this area where i think we can find blazes in the metal works

But the question is where there would there be some let’s see am i only going to find them at night now i’m running out of out of durability on my axe that could be a bit of a problem what if i go see i don’t remember running into them

Too often so the question is where are we going to find places around here because i think this is where we would find them if they’re going to be anywhere around hold on i think i saw something up ahead that was a little glowy oh no that was just

One of those silly things not what i’m looking for i suppose i’m gonna have to wait till night time if that’s the case perhaps i should just grab a grab this get a new axe that way i’m less likely to have my axe run out while i’m here now

Let’s see is there something i can get rid of yeah get rid of that i don’t know the thought of magma cubes in water just doesn’t make sense i guess because they are programmed to be in the nether they never considered the possibility of them jumping in the water oh well hey

Monster hunter on a magma cube well that’s a good way to get things going i wonder what the odds are that there could be some blazes inside of this cave would it be a better place to search for blazes say where i am at right now no because there’s an enderman there

Trying to keep me from doing anything useful enderman ah another cave maybe this one has a blaze in there somewhere that doesn’t look like a blaze it looks like a skeleton ah stop it stop it i said stop it now what else is around here oh well anything useful well there’s some iron

I’m still collecting that while i’m looking for places to come in give me trouble i guess all right i don’t particularly like this biome that’s what i gotta say about that because it not only gets you the rare occasion ablaze but it gives you way too many magma

Cubes and of course just about every other mob you could think of so that you’ll never have any hope of actually being able to kill the blaze if you needed to well see what we could do here but now it’s night time again all sorts of things i guess are going to

Be popping up all over the place now let’s see let’s get up here and have a look ah typical i am back in the oval world in a mine because i got killed several times trying to wait for ablaze to come up and they’re not looks like i also am near a

Mine shaft and i’m grabbing iron at the moment because i’ll be wanting to at least maybe could finish the chains and then once i finish the chains i can have enough iron in order to make some better weapons and armor so that i could have some hope of surviving in the area

Maybe you could find some diamonds i’m at 19 right now so i have to go down a little bit before i can before i could find any diamonds like down here and that way i could get a diamond sword perhaps and a diamond sword i think will go a long way to

Helping me to survive and maybe get through there long enough so that i can actually get a blaze to come up i thought i saw a blaze early on in the process but after a good deal of time i could not find any at all

Now what what i want to do right now is to find a nice safe place where i can set up shop that’s low enough in order to do something here see i’m at 13. this is a nice place i think so what i want to do is set up cooking i’ve already collected

Quite a bit of iron let’s see 27. that is a good amount see 27 plus 13 that’s 40. actually that might be enough to finish up the chain that’ll be nice at least be part of it done and with that done we can get much we can perhaps then start making some

Better tools in there because right now my tools are pretty much junk since i’ve been trying to conserve iron as much as possible see do i have i have only only 12 more planks left though since i met a mine shaft i could easily get some oak blanks from the area

See what can i get rid of i don’t need a magma cream yeah that’s what i got while fighting all of those mobs down in the down in that area so i just go along here and maybe i could finish up the chains at least meanwhile it’s time to start digging all over

Again here we are 40 iron and i need to make sure that i have one two three i’m going to make sure i have 30 alrighty 32 of that and i’ll be needing 64 nuggets is 44 62 so just one more of them and they’ll give me plenty of nuggets

Here we go one stack of chains that means everything should now be complete except of course for the laser rod which is going to just confound me no matter what i do perhaps and make sure i didn’t accidentally remove some oh yep just a blaze rod

I passed this on a couple occasions i probably thought it was a piece of lichen or something like that but i think i was wrong in that so let’s grab yeah diamonds all right good that should help me to get a nice sword that i can use to help protect myself

And i’ve been collecting a bit of iron so i could start to make some oh boy that’s i think i’d make a close to a full set of iron armor i obviously can’t get a helmet due to the way matrix works but i can get the other pieces and a diamond sword yes

Back to the ancient metal works where now i’m waiting for ablaze to spawn i of course there are all these magma cubes that are all over the place there are pigs which aren’t much of a problem unfortunately there are other things that are going to be spawning here such as creepers and

Skeletons and the like that i’m sure are going to give me trouble and it’s just a matter of waiting until a blaze spawns and what do i find under the area a spider spawner nothing useful here either they’re nice if it were a blade spawner it would have made things doable

I need to get back to the surface before it gets me nighttime oh forget it ah there are bear blazes right down over there looks like they’re next to a skeleton and probably other nasties i don’t know how in the world i’m going to get down there safely

So let’s see if i could blink over and find a way there well no because there are husks in the way i don’t think i’m gonna make it this time we have to see i’ve gone through things like this before yes every time when uh well

Problem is it’s also easy to get lost here it looks like it’s very easy for the blazes to have a line of sight on me but i seem to lose my line of sight oh here they are stop no no no no no no well i killed the blaze is the good news

The bad news is that if i had picked up a blaze rod yeah obviously you didn’t drop a blaze rod back to the drawing board oh the second blaze is still there any chance that i can get to it hey no no don’t do that to me uh well

I’ve killed two of them now and neither one of them has dropped a rod ah another place this time maybe i can get closer to it and did i go past it here they are no not that one not that one huh still no blaze rods that is that is not working out

I found another blaze right over there actually that’s nice and close the question is can i get to it or are they going to get to me first that’s the problem there let’s get over as usual looks like i overshot it oops there they are ouch come on let’s get around here without

Getting killed yes can i get it yes yes no ah well now there’s another blaze up there if i could find it oh my goodness gracious not a good time to run into the husks actually it’s never a good time to run into husks all right i i better

Get healed up before i make another attempt at it oh good grief now zombies down down all right let’s get up here again yes well can i avoid the fire this time just above it and ouch oh finally four hours 37 minutes 19 seconds ah i think that’s a new record long one

Unfortunately well that’s it for the november mage rate for 2021 and perhaps i’ll see you in december when we’ll find out what else ed has for us in mage range
