What’s going on everybody it’s Smitty back with another video hope you’ve all been doing fantastic So today we’re talking the current state of shaders on Bedrock many issues and fixes people have been having and then we’ll discuss a little bit of confirmation we’ve gotten from Minecraft Executives about The future the community has been popping I want to thank you all so much for the support on the last couple of videos it really means a lot to me and I hope you all have been enjoying the shaders really quick three second plug I started a website in it you can find Ways to get completely free add-ons on Minecraft Xbox and I also plan to add in tutorials for other consoles so link down below smitty058.com but without any further Ado let’s begin so I’ll start quick by discussing an issue many windows 10 or computer players have been experiencing and that issue is that the Deferred technical preview toggle is grayed out in their video settings you all know we need to activate this in order to make the shaders work well to make this toggle accessible you need to have a GPU you capable of running DirectX 12 and many people do have a Compatible GPU but when they log into the game that toggle is still grayed out while this is actually due to a bug and this is a very well known bug right now in the community that will eventually get fixed as more preview updates are Rolled out but we are gen Z we do not have patience so there is a way you can fix this bug right now on your computer and what you have to do is go to this GitHub page that I have linked Down Below in the description and you have to Download this ZIP file called better render Dragon once you have that installed you can open it and launch Minecraft from here and it will give you the option to toggle on deferred lighting and then you can enjoy all of your packs so you’re basically forcing Minecraft to use DirectX 12 and it will Work real quick your computer will be telling you that the better render Dragon download is not safe and I’ve been using it as well as other people in the Minecraft Bedrock Community like smokestack so your computer will warn you about 15 times but in the end I’ll Let you know it worked fine for me it’s worked fine for everyone and it is safe the next issue I want to address real quick is targeted towards the Xbox community so there is a really popular Shader pack out there one of the best called pogi’s luminous dreams and if You’re on Xbox and you installed it you may get the issue that the pack is built into Minecraft 1.20.30 and you can’t apply it or it won’t show up for you all you have to do to fix this is go into your resource underscore packs folder where you Imported the Shader then you want to press on it with the button with three lines on it go to where it says extract once you have extracted the Shader pack to a folder you want to press on that folder and you’ll see this manifest.json file inside then you want to press on That go to where it says open and then in here you want to go to where it says the version number and all you have to do is enter in 1.20.12 right here after you do that go to where it says save file at the top And then back out leave the folder you extract it exactly as it is in the resource underscore packs folder but then delete the dot MC pack out of here as you don’t need that anymore then it’s just the exact same steps load up normal Minecraft apply the pack import into Minecraft preview and there you go you now have poggy shaders and they look amazing funny story this is what happened the first time I loaded the shaders up on my Xbox One my game kinda froze I will now insert a meme I saw on a Discord server when you activate deferred lighting Now that is comedy the next issue is very common on Android and that is the shaders cause your game to crash now this is because at the moment there is no support for Mali gpus and this feature appears to only be supported on adreno gpus I think it’s how you say That so I’m sorry to break it to you I don’t have a fix to this one yet I think in the future we can be confident that they will add support on Mali and at the moment here’s a list showing all the devices that are currently supported on Minecraft 1.20.30 this was a tweet sent out by poggy and King dark and as you can see right there I’m sorry to many Android users you will have to wait as your GPU will cause the game to crash it’s not supported I’m sorry but now we can talk About some things said by Executives at Minecraft and in particular we’re going to be talking about Kayla on Twitter and her official title is executive producer so she put out this tweet a few days ago announcing that shaders were live on Minecraft preview and of course with Such a big announcement came quite a few questions and one of these questions came from prowell who asked I’m curious Kayla is the goal to have every platform capable of every feature or to build up features that each platform can handle so for example mobile switch can handle Certain features but new gen consoles can handle more and PC can handle more than that now Kayla responded to this question by saying a bit of a complicated answer the goal is that features should scale across platforms so as a Creator if I make an add-on it’ll work across platforms but as a Player if I have a more powerful platform my visual Fidelity should be better so in that answer she’s basically saying that their goal is to make it so that everyone can have the same features but of course if you have a more powerful device it’s going to look Better for you now in terms of performance another person asked the question yo the shaders are here but I’m just curious how much does this affect performance and of course Kayla responded saying really depends on your hardware and again this is super early days so performance and visual Fidelity Will improve over time so again if you’ve been having terrible frames terrible performance trust in the developers they are going to make optimization and performance very important on their list before they officially release Minecraft bedrock with the Deferred lighting just stay optimistic my friends when this finally Releases it’s gonna be so cool and it’s something we’ve been wanting for so long everything’s looking great right now but I’ll be sure to keep you all up to date on the latest news of course if they fix that Mali GPU issue I’ll definitely let You all know but until the next one I want to thank you all so much for watching have a great rest of your day it’s been Smitty and until the next one peace out Video Information
