Prowl8413 – Iron Farm + Villager Trading Hall | Minecraft Bedrock | Nether Update 1.16

Hello everybody proud here and welcome to another minecraft bedrock edition tutorial and due to popular demand today we are going to be working on iron farms 1.16 nether update iron farms let’s jump in not only is this an iron farm it is also a makeshift villager training hall

I want to give a huge huge huge credit to old guy I’m gonna link his channel in the description below make sure that you that you click on it and go subscribe to his channel a lot of you guys that are looking for iron farms probably already

Know him but this farm is extremely largely based on all of his findings in a farm of his and I did reach out to him for permission to do this video just got felt like it was proper because it’s so similar he was totally okay with it

But yeah this iron farm is awesome let’s go over a couple of key features and get started for starters the rates this will get around 400 iron per hour it is in line with what old guys iron iron farms will do it does have the same efficiency

As the one that he made it is also a villager trading hall you will want to make sure to not use librarians farmers or fishermen those three professions will not work on it rains so the rates will be lower if it’s raining and the iron farm won’t produce during that time

That might not be a huge deal to some of you guys because these iron farm rates are pretty decent anyways so if you don’t care about that by all means put in one of those three professions but I like to use the smithing table the grindstone and the blast furnace because

You get weapon Smith’s tool Smith’s and armor Smith’s and they all trade iron so not only can you use this to get tons and tons of iron ingots you can also use it to trade those ingots back to these guys up here to get tons and tons of

Emeralds last but not least at the very end of this video I will talk about adding a second iron farm above this one and a few key things that you’re going to know to be able to ensure that you do that efficiently and don’t heart hurt your rates and truly get 800 iron

So step number one for you guys is you want to make sure that you are at least 96 blocks away from another iron farm village other beds villager breeder any villager based things because if you are not the villages will potentially merge or the iron golems could potentially assign themselves this other village

Making your iron farm not work so make sure you are at least 96 blocks away that is from technically the center bed in this farm and if you’re not gonna know it’s sometimes hard to figure out what’s gonna be the center bed there versus the center bed here give yourself

A little leeway leeway and maybe do another 10 blocks above that so just to be safe do at least a hundred and six blocks away we’re gonna start on the bottom here by building up our platform that we’re gonna use to kill these guys one so we’re gonna put a double chest

Here we’re gonna put a hopper right here you’re going to go one two three hoppers hoppers place a little funny at one point sixteen I don’t know if you guys have noticed or not one two three one two three and we are going to build up a glass chamber around this and we’re

Gonna make this glass chamber three blocks high now what you need to do next is you need to create a little barrier around this this is where our platform is gonna go so we’re gonna go ahead and put any solid block here I’m using these guys that way you can easily tell the

Difference from one block to the next we have a 3×3 hole here this is where iron golems are gonna fall into we’re gonna put our signs down to hold lava we’re not gonna put the lava down yet though in case some of you guys like myself I

Do this sometimes decided to fall in a lava and ice so I don’t want anybody to die in lava just go ahead and put three signs down there one in the middle I keep hitting buttons to move one one one one and put one right here and that will

Do the trick for that now for this platform you’re going to go out on each side counting this block one two three four five six seven you go up one and go one two three and you’re gonna wrap this all the way around now again it’s seven

Blocks going in each direction and then up and in another three blocks and the next thing you need to do is build a barrier all the way around just like this just one block thick just go all the way around then you are going to want to put three blocks in each

Corner one two three do that in all four corners and to keep water from falling into this hole we’re gonna block it off with sign so we’re going to put a sign here just like this we’re going to put one on top and it one two three and then

The sides one two three and the other side as well one two three now no water will fall down in this hole by the way if you’re not already please subscribe to the channel and check out my truly bedrock series we just started season one of truly bedrock not too long ago I

Played with eighteen or seventeen other great youtubers I build big farms like this on it probably on a much larger and more grand scale and I’m actually about to do an iron farm in that series and it’s it’s gonna have a very fun creative way of killing the golems you guys have

To check it out and now we need to work on the platform that goes above us we’re gonna go up from the corner here one two three four and five blocks just like that get rid of those guys and we’re going to make the same square thereby

Making a five block square so one two three four five one two three four five one two three four five and close it off perfect and then from here you will go out eight blocks from each side including the block that’s already down so one two three four five six seven

Eight do that on each side one two three four five six seven and eight and then create your floor alright so now you should have your platform here with the eight blocks in each direction from the whole next step just like we did down below is to go ahead and put a border

Around it and just like below put blocks in all four corners now the next thing we need to do is build the platforms for the villagers to go on so you could pick any two sides it doesn’t matter but you need to do it at this Y level if you

Don’t do it at this right level then it’s possible your villagers are not going to link to the beds so we’re gonna do it even with this top level of the farm don’t try to do it below the farm don’t try to do it any higher because your villagers have to be

Within plus or minus four of the height of the beds meaning you could go up to four blocks above or four blocks below the beds but any more than that and they’re not going to be able to synchronize up with them so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna build out a

Little platform three blocks wide and we’re gonna go around to the sides just bring it to the end and then do the same thing on either one of the sides going in this direction – all right now you are going to want to have some glass for

This part that way you can see and access your villagers easily we’re gonna build some villager chambers and they’re gonna be really easy we’re gonna start from the corner here we’re gonna build up two blocks on each side and for now we’re just gonna use regular solid

Blocks not glass yet and we’re gonna keep building little chambers like this and it’s gonna equal out to where we’re gonna have ten of them on each side you’ll see that there are ten slots for villagers to go there I’m gonna do that to the other side next let’s go ahead

And close the fronts off with glass like this put water in each one of them like this and put either glass or solid blocks it doesn’t matter to close off the back side okay so these next instructions are very important as you start getting villagers in here there’s

Gonna be a couple important things that you need to make sure that you do I kind of mentioned us earlier I want to reiterate it so nobody has a farm that doesn’t work so if you want golems to spawn you cannot have baby villagers in here if they start out as babies and

They grow that’s fine don’t activate the farm until they’re all grown though and you also cannot have nitwit villagers which are the green ones you need to get rid of those guys as well so fill it with all regular villagers make sure they are all grown up and again make sure they’re not

Linked to any profession blocks you cannot have any profession blocks in this area don’t use barrels for chests don’t have a bed to sleep in don’t have a stone cutter to cut stone you got it you cannot have any profession blocks over here while you’re moving the villagers

In we need to cover all the villagers heads this will be slightly annoying to do once you get all the villagers in there but if you spam click while they’re bobbing up and down you will eventually get the block over their head I like to keep things glass because I’m

Trying to keep things spawn proof so I would recommend using glass go all the way around and get all of the villagers heads covered Oh light your build as well that way you don’t have any mob spawn and try to kill your villagers creepers blow it up etc light everywhere

That that you can just to try to protect this place a little bit better when you have to do this after the villagers are already here we’re gonna do beds so we’re gonna go to the bottom level and we’re gonna go up three blocks and then we’re gonna make ourselves a little ring

Here it’s gonna be temporary until we place our beds okay now we have to do this in a certain order that way we know which bed is going to be the center of the village there’s a trick again I learned this from old guy I don’t know

If he’s the one that discovered it or not although I think he is is that if you have villagers in water if you’re wondering why they’re in water they will not unlink from their beds or their profession blocks so the first bed we place is going to be the centre of the

Village it doesn’t matter where you place it just any of these Center blocks like this well that is now our centre bed what we can do is we can go around like this and we’re gonna end up with 20 beds if we do it in this pattern to

Match our 20 villagers once you have all the beds in there you can knock out the blocks below them you do not need them install our water and our lava so let’s do the lava first just be super careful here that you don’t slide down into this

And die from the lava okay you could just either put one right there I like to fill all the spots because it makes it more likely that all the cats are actually gonna get killed by the lava so we’re gonna go ahead and just put lava

In all 9 locations just like this next is the water and you’re gonna do this the same way on the top and the bottom ok so I put a couple stone blocks here just to show you guys where you do not put water all four corners don’t put

Water in the corners right beside this block but put it everywhere else so you’re gonna put one up top you’re gonna go all the way across like this you’re gonna stop before you get to this one put one up here and then again you’re going to skip that block in every spot

Do this on all four corners on the top and the bottom level up with is a water flow that comes right to the middle on both top and bottom that’s gonna flush in your cats and your golems this thing will already be spawning cats for you

Guys because we got the beds in its not gonna spawn golems yet because now we need to do profession blocks I’m gonna remind you guys one more time if you use a lectern for librarians a composter for farmers or a barrel for fishermen they do not work quote unquote work at when

It rains meaning that you will not get golems while it’s raining especially if you’re gonna afk there with your you know your leave your computer or console on that’s gonna slow your rates a decent amount every time it rains they stop whereas these other professional blocks

I don’t know if I got them all or not but all the other ones they are good to go they will keep golem spawning all the time I do recommend the blast furnace the smithing table or the grind stone again because they actually have iron

Trades so you can take the iron that you make from your iron farm and trade it right back out to those villagers okay so we are down to the last tedious part of this and that is linking up your villagers with their work stations they do have to have access to the work

Station so what you’re gonna want to do I would probably build yourself up just a little bit of platform to stand on temporarily and place your block one place a profession block down look for who links to it you’ll see green particles see it was this guy right here

Yep you see he’s got the particles it was him you’re gonna have to go through and you’re gonna have to do this for each villager placed it down looking for particles I think it was yep it was this guy right here it’s a little bit of a tedious process but once they’re all

Linked it’s all good to go you don’t have to worry about it and after you get it linked you can go ahead and pop that out that piece of glass or whatever you put there that way you can access the villager go ahead and get all 20 of them

Synched up now and if you took your time and got everything linked up properly you should now have cool I’m spawning as well and starting to brain iron ingots into your chest so one final thing before we go I am NOT going to do this on camera for you guys but

I’m going to explain to you what to do if you want to have two of these working in the same area you can build another one of these exactly seventy six blocks up from the center of this one that’s seventy six blocks from the level where Myatt from the bed level right

Here so the beds are at Y level 11 I guess that is that Y level 12 so at Y level 8088 do a math no camera Y level 88 or higher I would go a couple blocks extra just to get you a little

Bit of a buffer but all the way up at Y level will say 90 you can build another one of these iron farms now if you’re gonna do that build everything the same way all of it exactly the same way except for you do not need the caching

System down here you don’t need this so what’s gonna happen is it’s going to flow the golems and it’s gonna drop them down to this farm now what happens when they go from up there to down here for that period of time they’re down here they become part of this village the

Reason we have 20 villagers is 20 villagers allows up to two golems at a time to be alive which is going to give you almost maximum rates but if you’re dropping golems from up there to down here then during periods of time you’re gonna have two three maybe every once in

A while four but most of the time 2 or 3 golems down here because they’re dropping down and they’re gonna die in this lava so what I recommend that you do if you build another one of these up in the sky which I do recommend you do

That you’re gonna get lots of iron if you do that put 30 villagers here and 30 beds here instead of 20 now the bed’s go ahead and put them at this same level and just wrap them around the outside we already have our center of our village

Established so that’s fine but go ahead and wrap the beds around the outside here and go ahead and wrap around one more row villagers around one of these sides get yourself ten more villagers then your iron farm can support three golems and as they drop down it’s not

Going to affect your rates on this farm a lot it will affect it a little bit but it will not affect it a lot and that way you could have two sets of iron farm schooling going last but not least if you’re gonna do that I think this is

Still true but I have not seen confirmation on this but I believe you have to be within 54 blocks of the iron farm for it to work so you’re gonna want to go up somewhere between this farm and that farm let’s say about 30 blocks up

And you’re gonna want your afk spot to be up there so you’re gonna be somewhere right around this general area between the two farms that way both of them are loaded and both of them are spawning golems just find that center point I guess that would be what twenty thirty

Thirty eight blocks up go thirty-eight blocks up that’s halfway between the two and that will make your golems spawn and cats spawn in both everybody well I hope that you have enjoyed the nether update so far I hope this farm gets you lots of aren’t again special thank you to old guys
