Rays Works – This Minecraft farm never stops making DIRT…

Hello there ray here and this crazy contraption you see behind me is an infinitely automatic dirt farm meaning that once you have started it it can go on forever producing blocks of dirt for you and you never have to resupply it with bone meal or tnt

Or any type of tools you heard that right guys now it’s possible to make a farm that produces infinite amounts of dirt just by afking it when doing large terraforming projects having a lot of dirt is quite useful so having a farm that you can obtain unlimited amounts of it

Just by afking it is essential for these large projects now in the past we could obtain unlimited amounts of dirt but it wasn’t infinitely automatic the way this was done is that you would get dirt and you could bind it with some gravel so we got two dirt blocks

And two gravel and that produces four coarse dirt and then these could be placed down and either turn into path blocks or farmland and then when they were mined up they would produce a normal dirt block and you could automate this process like i’ve shown in the past by

Using explosions but you’re still left with the process of crafting dirt into coarse dirt now we no longer need that method in order to get unlimited amounts you guys have seen my previous farms as well as my snapchat review videos you’ll know how this works what we do is we get

A stone from a stone generator then we bone mill a moss block near it which will convert the stone into a moss block then we plant an azalea on top of that and we grow it and this will turn the moss block into a new block which is called the rhythm dirt

This rid of dirt can then be used with a shovel to turn to a path block and then when the path block explodes or you place a block on top of it it turns back into a dirt block even though this is a long process i have completed this

Entire process and not only that i made it infinitely automatic by using a bunch of different tricks like all my farms i designed these live on my twitch stream so if you guys want to see the process from the very start to a final product make sure you guys follow me over

In the description there’s a lot going on so let’s start with the beginning which is my azalea tree farm you’ve seen this video that put out a week ago where i showed this really simple tree farm that you can make where you just plant in your azalea

And it automatically grows it up and will blow it up so that you get the items and the logs out of it this is exactly what i use over there except i added a bunch more stuff to it the first thing i want to do is this

Block here which is the block that turns into the rooted dirt i want to first to get that collected as an item so that it can also be a rooted dirt farm that’s what this design over here does exact same setup underneath is a little bit different

We have our stone generator right here and that’s just pushing in stone into the center what it’s going to do is swap out this block here with a stone block and then we’re going to convert it into a moss block automatically by using a dispenser on a nearby moss block

Now we got two of the steps that we want next step is to plant in the azalea since this is a tree farm the player would be sitting here placing in saplings and once you place one in it’s going to convert it into a wooded dirt block now we have three of

The five steps that we need in order to make it a dirt farm on this farm it just collects the red dirt by pushing it around with some pistons and pushing it up it’s going to pop out of the ground right here and get exploded by tnt so with this farm it’s pretty

Simple still at the zelia farm there and we also got the rooted dirt being swapped out so we get some extra items out of this farm all the items are being collected down through here and they’re going to go into this chest here you can see you get a wide variety

Including the new azalea bush types and the red dirt of course the oak logs and the sticks but since we’re also bone milling that moss block we can get some byproducts such as the moss carpet and the seeds so if you just want red dirt you can go

For this farm here i went ahead and took it one step further with this design where the player not only places in the zelia but he’s also going to have a shovel where he’s going to convert the wooded dirt into a path block now the player kind of sits in a weird

Position right here i had a little bit of fun with this one and the player actually looks on the edge of this block right here with this alien offhand the shovel in the main hand when the player right clicks he can’t do anything to the moss block with this shovel so therefore it’s

Going to use his offhand placing in that bush then if you hold right click right after it turns into a rooted dirt it’s going to come down player can turn it into a path block players then move backwards and then he’s moved forward again for the next cycle

With the player turning all of the rooted dirt into path locks it will be the fourth step that we need and the fifth step is actually done automatically as soon as the path block is pushed underneath of a solid block it will automatically revert back into a dirt block

Then dirt block is just piped around with some pistons and pushed up here and then the tnt will come down and blow it up and drop it as an item it’s very similar to the other designs just a little more extra stuff added in and it’s a little

Bit more redstone underneath with some sorters and other stuff going on down here another reason why the player is afking so far away from where he’s placing blocks that’s because the tnt drops right there and there and i want to make sure that the player won’t take any damage from it

That way we won’t have to worry about killing the player using like a region beacon it turns out the player only has to move a very small amount in order for him not take damage at this location here the player can just barely reach a corner of that block

In survival and then i have some water physics which will just switch this water around and then i’ll move the player back here and back here he won’t take any damage from the explosions i also know how to take advantage of the new spy glass as a way to be precise

And where my player is aiming go ahead and run it in survival right clicking hold it down right click player gets moved back by some water it’s back here the explosions go off have them turn down really low and then the player moves in and the whole process repeats itself works pretty fast

The slowest thing about this farm is just waiting for the tnt to ignite and fall each time now besides making design with tnt it also made one with a mine cart which you could say is a bit more expensive but dealing with water can be kind of annoying but this one works a

Similar way moving the player back and forth just with a minecart instead the player in the minecart is always located in such a position that he can pick up new azalea coming off of the tree farm so that’s what this waterway is near the player any of the items that come off of

The farm are going to wash by the player and he can refill his stack then after a player picks up his items the rest of them are washed over here on top of this hopper and it goes into a sorter and the way we use excess items is we

Actually compost them so first we take out the logs the sticks and the dirt and then we compost the extra azalea flowering azalea moss carpet and seeds that bone meal is piped back up and resupplied to the farm not because the zele trees are pretty small they don’t have that many leaves

And therefore they don’t produce that many saplings and because we’re using the saplings to produce the bone mill by no means can we get enough bone meal to supply the bone milling of the azalea which is just like other trees taking an average of 2.2 bone meal in order to grow it up

And only having a five percent chance of dropping a sampling now besides the bone meal it takes to grow it up we also need to remember that there’s bone meal that goes to this part here which is a system that converts our stone block into a moss

Block that takes one bone mill each time too because that’s gonna take over three bone mill each time so in itself the farm does work properly but you would have to resupply it with bone meal and that’s where this final design come in where i went all out

And made it so that don’t matter what you need it’s all provided by supporting farms around it let you see the initial design right here in the center this is the afk azalea tree farm first thing i did is to make infinite source of explosion and that is through

The tnt dupers up here both of them are providing the two tnt for either side of the tree that way you don’t have to use dispensers this is the infinite source with the tnt taking care of the next thing to take care of is the bone mill as we know it doesn’t

Provide enough to keep it self-sustained over here i got my infinitely automatic bone mill farm which uses the new moss block mechanic this machine here produces stone with my stone generator and it pushes it in and then what we do is we bow mill a center

Moss block and it’s going to convert a bunch of the stone into moss blocks as well and then there’s also a chance of it producing moss carpets on top also some seeds and you can get some azalea and everything is harvested with the incoming stone as well as the pistons

And we got a hopper minecart underneath which is picking up all the items making it into this storage over here now the storage will take it into a composter which composts it down into bowl mill and then we are putting that into the farm the neat thing about

This moss block farm is not only does it produce bone meal but also produce an infinite source of fuel as the azaleas can be burned inside of a furnace but by putting anything here that needs to be smelted it can automatically be smelted as well now the farmer itself makes some bone

Meal so before we give the bone meal to the azalea tree farm we first go ahead and give some of it back to this farm because it only uses one bull mill each cycle i did a little trick over here that has to do with the priority of chest

So if you didn’t know when stuff goes into the chest and there’s two hoppers directly underneath of it the game has to decide which hopper will get priority now as we want priority always to go to this farm first because it needs to produce more moss blocks in order to get

Bone mill i put the hopper on the right hand side that means anything that goes into here will always go into the right hand side hopper which will then go over into this dropper this dropper then only activates once each cycle and it’ll pump one bone mill up into the system

And if done properly there should always be the same amount of bone mill inside of storage not because this farm does produce stone it does come out with some extra on the backside here i decided to put in a stone generator so we got some tnt that just drops blows us up

And converts the stone into cobblestone kind of an extra little thing you can get from the farm all the cobblestone that you will ever need then any of its extra bone mill through this hopper line here and into this system here which essentially takes it into the center we have our dispenser

Oh milling the azalea saplings now besides that one we also need to pipe the bowl mill down and over into this dispenser right here which is going into that moss block that gets bone milled each time so with those two dispensers getting satisfied with the bone mill we never have to worry

About them running out next thing we have to look at is the player itself does the player actually take any damage or does he take any hunger does the player taking hunger or damage would eventually die i make sure the player does take damage by moving him away from the area that

Gets exploded that is good player also doesn’t take any hunger because placing down blocks doesn’t use any hunger and also right clicking with the shovel doesn’t take any saturation or hunger the player was actually mining up blocks than it would we don’t have to worry about using regen beacons or food

Or having armor on the player he’s completely fine the way he is but we do have to worry about his tool that he’s using and the durability of it running out and this is why we have unbreaking on the shovel to make it lose durability more slowly but more importantly we have

Mending which has the shovel repair itself whenever xps get picked up by the player and that is why i have a pigment portal farm here using the same kind of setup as my infinitely automatic snow farm the player uses durability up on the tool but the big portals here have a

Chance of producing pigment spawns and once they come out of here they will be mad at the player because the pigmen way over there are still mad at the player and they tell a surrounding pigmen to also be mad the new penguin will try to get to the

Player that they’re mad at which is the guy in the minecart over here and then they will make their way to try to get as close as possible which is going this direction and they think they can walk over here and they think they can walk past this

Trap doors here and think they can walk this way and this way and eventually get to the player uh the problem is that they can’t actually walk through these trap doors instead they end up hitting them and they fall down into this hole here which is full of 24 mine carts

All inside themselves so they will start taking max cramming and when they die since they are still mad at the player they will drop player loot which includes xps and then they will slowly try to make their way towards the player and eventually up into the players shovel which will repair it

Besides getting xp off of the pigment you also get a bunch of loot which is kind of nice as well but we have just satisfied all the different requirements needed in order for this farm to be infinitely automatic once the player hops into the system and starts it up there’s nothing that the

Player needs to do to keep it going now if i was to ask you what do you think was the hardest part about designing this farm you would have guessed the water you would be correct i spent quite a while trying to get the water correct

And in the end i used a setup that i didn’t potentially really think was going to work now the reason why the water is important because we don’t want it to get too close to these holes and we don’t water fall down the holes because now items will float on top of

Water so if any water ends up in here the items will just float to the top rather than going into our collection system and because it was so difficult to get all the items to go to a single hole we actually had to put in two holes on either side

Besides that we also need to make sure the water doesn’t go to this center spot right here this azalea won’t grow if there’s any water on top of it those items end up going down either of these two holes and then down here there’s little waterways which they

Slide around and eventually go into this bubble column they get shot up here and then they go down through here and to the player and then to the storage system now trying to make sure all the items would get collected was also quite difficult that’s why there’s a bit of timing

Between the two tnt to make sure the items don’t get exploded also the water around the edge here doesn’t actually go into this area right here this water source is actually provided by this waterlogged stair it took a while to get this to set up properly but you can see that

This stair has water inside of it and the water is flowing outwards over here and that’s important because sometimes items get stuck underneath the stair especially items that fall into this area here when they get squished by the tree growing up they often end up on this ledge here

And rather than putting in a bunch of like hopper mine carts or hoppers i was able to waterlog the stair which then flows over here falls into this hole here moving all the items this direction now there’s a problem because of this water being so close

To this area over here which has no water whatsoever you might be asking how did i prevent the water from flowing on top of this moss block now we can’t have any water on top of it otherwise it won’t grow and it won’t convert the stone into moss

Either the way that i trick the water to not going that direction is that i make it think that there is a hole that it can go to now it doesn’t actually think it’s going to go down this hole because of water source it’s actually

Right here on top of it so it doesn’t go straight down it always goes out then down and because of that i put in a fake hole right over here by putting in a water log block the water thinks it can actually fall down into this hole but it actually can’t

But this only works within five blocks of the source so the water all goes over here and tries to go down there and doesn’t even attempt to go over here i also had a block up this hole here otherwise it would see this hole as being somewhere it could go into

Now with the water set up how it is we use these little ledges to extend the water so they reach near the center but over here where the tnt drops it drops right here any blocks that are here or here actually have a chance of blowing up

Even though they appear to be fully encased in water right here in this tip of this tip of this water corner here the tt blast is actually able to skip through that little piece of water and hit the block behind it this is how tnt is able to go through corners destroying

Stuff and because of that these two blocks will get blown up eventually the system works just fine with those removed same thing for this side now overall there is a lot of stuff kind of happening here in the center which makes it kind of compact it was a bit hard to design besides

Having two dispensers nearby we also need to have the moss block nearby to convert the stone we also have a stone generator which starts on this side and goes all the way through even though it converts into dirt and it continues almost the full length of the farm before it gets moved over

And up to get exploded on top of that we also need to have hopper lines that supply the dispensing and we also need to still have our observer breeding when the moss block turns into a red dirt there’s also a piston system which pushes up the azalea that grows so that the log

Can be exploded by the tnt then we still need to manage for the player to be able to reach the center not only place in azalea but also be able to turn the rooted dirt into a path block and on top of all that we need to

Collect all the items without having any of them getting destroyed by tnt or by getting glitched into other blocks only place that everything item possibly get stuck was right here on this ledge here if you want to you could put a hopper there but it’s so rare that i didn’t bother

With the farm provided with all of its materials it can consistently run and produce a large amount of items over time i went ahead and ran this farm for 10 minutes just to get an idea of what type of items you’ll get and how much of each they’ll get like over

A stack of dirt and the slowest thing about the farm is the igniting and dropping of the tnt was about nine seconds between each cycle of the farm almost get two stacks of sticks about seven stacks of oak logs and if you decide to keep your azaleas

You get over three stacks of those and you also get byproducts of seeds and moss carpets typically all these are put automatically into the composter to get more bone mill without all the bells and whistles the farm is moderately simple to build up of course if i go for this design

You will be having to do quite a bit more redstone now as i showed before you can make the azalea tree farm infinitely automatic as well as playerless but since we need to have the player in here to convert the rooted dirt into dirt it doesn’t really matter that he’s also placing in

The azalea sapling this allows us to use a lot less bone mill rather than depending on rng for the sapling to be placed on top actually having a sapling grow up here could cause problems with the farm and that’s why we have this piston here because after the moss block places

Some vegetation on top of this one or on top of this one as you just seen there the piston will go ahead and break it off at the same time we also turn off the powering system to it in case a zealot is grown there we don’t

Want it to grow into a tree which would mess up the cycling now aiming properly with this farm is a little bit difficult but you can hop in here and are the minecarts your players over here then use your spy glass you look for the edges block you to look

At the very very very edge right here then switch to your level and right click if you right click then it worked out properly after it goes through one cycle make sure that you’re still aiming at the right location now we move back you notice that it doesn’t work so let’s go ahead

And readjust it move it right to the corner there has to be on the very edge of this boss block let’s go ahead and give it a try again and now when i send this back it should be lined up properly so we can afk i’m going back and yep everything works

Out good placed in the zaylan and also turned it into a path block once you get it all working just hold down right click and then press f3 plus t and then when this pops up release your right-click button now your guy will automatically do both right-click actions on its own

Now you can use alt tab to switch out so you can go into a different menu so if you’re aiming properly these are the coordinates which you should be pointing towards if you have trouble you can push yourself all the way to the edge and then have the machine reset you eventually

You’ll get in such a location where you can aim right up against the corner right here it should say that you’re looking at a moss block and every time you go back and forth it should set you in the exact same location now the egg growing of the pigment

All you have to do is hop in your mine cart and then aim a little bit high and then throw a snowball over there and you’ll be able to hit one of these guys which will make them mad then when the player moves back and forth

The pigmen in the distance which are way beyond these guys those guys over there will be able to see you no matter where you’re at no constantly riagro the other new guys coming on the portals now if you would like to build up any of the different designs i showed today
