Hello my friends and welcome to another gaming server tutorial from shot byte hosting my name is Stifler and today we’re going to show you how to change the physical location of your shock byte server since we have several regions where our servers are hosted players From around the world are able to get a solid connection and fast speeds no matter where they are if you’re often playing on your multiplayer server and find yourself getting a lot of rubber banding or block like this could be caused by you having a poor connection To your server and we have a simple way to help you improve this problem when you’re setting up a new service with us you can select between a number of different regions for your server and you should probably choose the one closest to where you and your players Are connecting from so if you live in Germany you would select the Europe server region but if you already have a server setup and you’d like to move that server to a new region we have a way for you to make that happen too this is a Two step process to complete the step one being to place an upgrade order and step two being to send your transfer support request first ahead to shock bite comm and in the top right corner click client area to log into your account in the top blue bar select my Services you should now see a list of all the servers you currently have active select the server that you would like to move to a new region then in the left sidebar select upgrade / downgrade options once the page loads you should see a drop down box on the right to Select a new region that you would like to move your server to be aware that sometimes your monthly server cost will change depending on where you’re moving to or from our asia-pacific servers for example have a slightly higher price than other regions because Internet bandwidth is more expensive there after You’ve selected the region you’d like to move to click to continue and then you’ll see a final price on the order confirmation screen letting you know what your new monthly cost will be after the move once you see your order confirmation page you can move on to Step 2 head to shock byte comm / the content and create a new support ticket let us know that you’ve placed a new upgrade lerner and would like to transfer your server to the new location make sure you include that you understand that your server’s IP address Will change that way it’ll save us this step when asking you to confirm we’ll take a look over the details select the data center location that’s best for you and send you a new server IP address that you and your players will connect to watch for reply to that Support ticket to arrive with all those details once the transfer is complete or you can log into the control panel again and check to see if your IP address has been updated as soon as it is you’ll be ready to go with your new server location that’s it you have now moved Your game server to one of our other data center locations and hopefully that means a better connection speed for you if you have any other questions about the different data center locations that we offer be sure to get in touch with us and shocked by comm / contact thanks for Watching today and I look forward to seeing you in the next video You Video Information
