SirSanj – Minecraft Single Player Season 3 Episode 26-Potion Brewing Guide!

Hey guys what is going on it is us banner and i am back with some more minecraft last time we made a netherwart farm and in this episode i’m going to be showing you guys how to make all the potions ever probably anyway and the ingredients and

What you need to make certain things that are important and la la la okay so uh what i like to do is i like to get lapis zuli blocks uh to put my potion brewing stands on now potions were added in uh the adventure update um pretty action no they’re added more like

In a 1.5 but you need a netherwart to grow them and you get another word from those nether fortresses they’re like they have little farms in them and if you want to see my last video on how to make a proper farm or at least a decent farm check out the next video

There’s a there’s a link annotation if you’re watching from the computer from the top at the top left corner i believe is a previous thing look at it it’s nice so to make a potion brewing stand you need a blaze rod um you got to put it right in the center

Just like this blaze rods are can be dropped occasionally from the blazes that also get also spawned in the nether fortresses and then you put cobblestone along the bottom and there you go now you have a brewing stand all right so there’s a brewing stand now

If you want to put you know if you want to get all the basics you got to make something called a cauldron so you got to take seven iron ingots put them all around this corner like this and there you go you have a cauldron so you place that like that so

Uh that’s there we go that was weird um now to fill up the cauldrons you need to get a bucket of water in order to get a bucket of water you gotta make a bucket i’m sure you know how to do that so i’m not gonna explain

Uh okay let’s do this yes i do this okay get back up there all right so and then you gotta just quickly clack right there and then you can’t take it out once it’s in as you can see the only way to take it out is if you make glass bottles so

You got to make glass blocks like this and you’ll make a glass bottle so uh every coconuts fit up fit up like every cauldron that is filled up uh gives you uh three bottles of water you know for one cauldron so all together this would give me like what 12 bottles of water

I think three for yes so you know that’s nice um so yeah once you have your uh your battles of water you can then i’m just going to fill them up all the way like this i just for you know demonstrate and okay now um water bottles will restore uh about like

I think a little bit of your hunger but in order to make potions you need to get uh your netherwart and you have to put it into the top like this uh one will brew as many as you would like you can only have three at a time it’ll brew these water

Bottles into a an awkward potion um depending on how you do it you can brew it in certain things so then comes the ingredients now there are four excuse me i was gonna say three three types of dusts well all the dust pretty much that uh you can use to make potions um

Sugar is used to make a certain potion uh called the swiftness potion which i’ll be showing right now gunpowder makes potions into splash potions which are like throwable potions and redstone increases the duration of a potion the length and glowstone upgrades the potion going from like a uh let’s say a potion of

Swiftness one to opposing switches potion of swiftness 2. so right here i’m going to show off right now put a piece of sugar in there and the awkward portion will loud mute wow dang that was up high okay and uh after a certain amount of time

This sugar will turn this potion into a potion of swiftness wait in here all right here we go now we have a potion of swiftness so it gives you extra speed for three minutes so right now i’m running you know it’s fast you know it’s better than walking but we drink this

And yeah because we can see we’re faster you’re faster when you walk in when you run but let’s say that’s not fast enough you know that’s that’s not fast enough like at all so now what we’re gonna do is we’re going to add some more sugar okay

You know so it gives you icons right here it lasts for three minutes you can make these uh obviously you can make the duration of these longer with redstone and you can upgrade them with glowstone uh okay also when you consume a potion it turns back into a glass bottle

Um so let’s say you know uh this isn’t fast enough so i wanna i wanna upgrade this so you put the potion back into the thing into the potion brewer and you put the glowstone dust right up here and then you can see it’s brewing give it a couple

So it’s going to from a potion of swiftness to a potion of swiftness 2 which only lasts about a minute and 30 seconds so you’re like oh that’s not enough so let’s put a piece of redstone in there and increase the length of the potions effect um something i should show uh

If you have a uh you know what i i can’t i don’t know if there’s gonna be any cows around here anywhere so just for demonstration i’m going to show what you can do all potion effects you’re like oh if they’re good or bad you don’t want them

Anymore you can consume a bucket of milk and it takes away all potion effects all of them even if there are ones you like if you’re poisoned and you have like a strength potion on which i’ll get into later see now this last eight minutes

But it uh turns it back into a regular potion so the potion of swiftness too makes you a lot faster obviously but let’s say you want to uh you want to make someone else faster you want to make animals faster you want let’s put some uh

You know you don’t want to take all the time to consume it like you know drink it so we’re going to put a piece of uh gunpowder in there and then it’ll turn into a splash potion of swiftness so splash potions are throwable potions they can work on you animals

Mobs so let’s make this pig faster as you can see now it’s faster this is acting fast but i’m faster now because it got on me so the effect has gotten on me now this potion ah still a thing obviously all right now i am going to show you how to make

A potion of healing potion of healing are just oh my god so um in order to make a potion of healing you’re going to need melons and to make a melon farm and i have made a melon farm before so you know look around my videos um

But thank you so uh you need uh gold nuggets which are normally dropped from pigment but if you put a piece of gold ingot in your crafting space and then you’ll get nine gold ingots back if you stack them all together like this it’ll make a gold ingot so you know it’s

Kind of a win-win thing i suppose but um in order to do uh to make a healing potion you need to put a piece of melon and a uh golden nugget together to make a glistening melon now glycerin melons aren’t consumable but they are great uh what do you call potions

Because you’ll see in a sec because uh glycerin melons make potions of instant healing they give you instant health uh the one we’re making right now i believe stores three hearts of health and then the next one stores six i’m not so sure about that but we’re gonna test it out anyway okay

And now we have a monday potion okay so as you can see that’s different from a um oh that’s different from an awkward potion i believe the mundane potion of different effects but i’m not too sure about that okay well okay i didn’t actually know that looks we’re gonna have to

Totally forgot to brew the potion but uh mundane potions are actually used to make potions of weakness i believe um but you know there’s a whole different there’s several ways to do it i’m just going to show you the simplest way so we’re going to brew this and other

Awkward potions and so now we put the glycerin melon in there okay and now we have potions of instant healing uh so i’m going to turn on this oh let’s go take some damage oh good night time i’ll just climb this ladder and jump off real quick all right so i full hearts

Right now bam you know now i have that much no i have three and a half took took three and a half shot all right so i’m missing about five hearts five and a half i’m drinking the poster mission healing and bam i just destroyed about three and

A half hearts if not just three so let’s say oh that’s not enough health you know obviously there’s not enough health you’re gonna need a lot of health when you’re going places we’ll put a piece of glowstone in there and we’ll make it a potion of instant health two what’s your story is

About i think i’m actually gonna check the wiki on this one uh i think it restores about six yeah it says six so i’m open but yeah just showing off you can also make you can make a splash potion of any potion um but these potions i’m showing you

Right now are just uh the effects effects um so i’m actually going to do this so yeah oh this one either one of them i hear a zombie up change my sensitivity i hear a zombie now i’m scared i’m gonna go fill these up with water and then we’re gonna make some more

Potions real quick to show off more stuff good that’s good that’s really good all right it’s lovely wait all right and let’s do this right here alrighty excuse me if you can hear my clicking it’s kind of kind of quiet nothing really talk about what i’m doing this

Alrighty so these potions are ready now i’m going to be showing you how to make a potion of regenerate yeah sewer generation so positive regeneration are definitely not as good as uh potions of instant health because they’re kind of hard to get unless you like killing gas

Um but to kill gas you need to either hit them with the fireball once or shoot arrows at him or hit him with your sword or whatever but occasionally they’ll drop a gas tier when you put a gas tier uh mix it with an awkward potion and all

That it will give you a potion of regeneration and restores about a heart every two seconds um and it lasts about i think a minute that’s probably wrong but you can make the time longer anyway if you’d like um yeah oh it’s 45 seconds okay okay well um

So yeah that’s how to make that now a potion of strength is used uh you take a blaze rod and if you put a blaze rod in your crafting space it’ll make blaze powder which is used for one of two things making eyes of ender and

Potions uh to make a potion of strength increases your uh i think it adds about uh i’m not sure what does it say uh two and a half damage to all melee attacks with or without weapons you know so if you’re punching uh that’ll work too if you’re using a sword

It’ll do more just the same thing okay and now we have a potion of strength i guess i could show all the icons so as you can see uh it’s doing the fancy thing there’s all the icons okay that noise scares the crap out of me

Now um i’m going to i didn’t get this one legit so i’m just gonna put it in but if you get uh i’m not sure about this i think magma cubes can drop magma cream i’m not sure but to make it okay you need a slime ball and uh blaze

Powder so blaze powder is used for three things not two uh so you combine those together and you get a magma cream and if you put a magma cream in with an awkward potion you will probably get the most helpful potion in the history of ever in in my opinion

So wait for it you will get a potion of resistance that gives you res uh immunity to fire and lava for i think about uh three minutes that’s what the wiki says and also uh if like a uh if a blaze hits you from far away with its fireball thing i don’t

I believe you’re also immune to that but up close i think you take damage but fire resistant potions are amazing they’re extremely helpful and yeah it’s like for real if you’re just like if you’re just messing around in the nether and you actually fall no big

Deal you just climb back up unless your pokemon runs out then you’re screwed okay now we’re going to be getting into potions that do uh damage um that are mainly for splash potions so spider eyes are a good um a good way to start so let’s go ahead and do that let’s uh

These potions are ready so uh if you mix a spider eye which you get occasionally from killing spiders obviously then with an awkward potion you’ll get a potion of poison which uh i’m reading this from the wiki right now poisons the player for a given time reducing their health at

A half heart mostly approximately for every uh you take half a heart like every 1.5 seconds or and that’s goes for the same with mobs so you don’t want to consume this because this will poison you and you know if you just want to die slow i

Don’t think you die from this actually but i’m not too sure about that you can check that if you’d like it i want to show right now so uh let’s say you want to do this to your enemies you know you’re like oh i don’t like i want to poison some

Creepers from a far away or if you’re on a server you can you know mix potions or whatever so you turn it into a potion of splash potion of poison um now uh if you mix a spider eye with a only it can only be the brown mushrooms

I tried it can’t be the red one and a piece of sugar in whatever order as long as they’re in the crafting space you get a fermented spider eye spiders will also rarely drop fermented spider eyes anyway slash bunch of poison that’s how i’ll explain that later

So if you put a fermented spider eye in with an awkward potion you will get a potion of weakness and it reduces all melee attacks by a heart um and it lasts for i think a minute and 30 seconds i’m not too sure about that but i guess we’ll see won’t we

Yep there we go um now uh we’re gonna get into a little more complicated uh thing these are actually i didn’t know how to make uh until just looking at the wiki a while ago but now we’re going to make a potion of harming so there’s two ways of doing this

Uh so you’re gonna need a fermented spider eye so we’re just gonna make let’s make like two more just because i think we’ll be using it more than once sorry if i’m my voice is weird because i’m standing now because you know i’m stretching out my legs

Uh see oh yeah there’s a couple in here all righty um so so yeah so there’s two ways of doing this you can either make a uh a potion of poison or you can make a potion of uh uh instant health or healing or whatever so let’s just show that off right now

Let’s make the fermented spider eyes and okay okay so here it is let’s make the health right here and the poison right here so this can all be kind of complicated to uh to remember but you know that’s why normally if you keep making these uh you will remember all right

Oh we’re also going to want a potion of swords right so now we have a potion of instant health now to make a potion of harming uh which uh which uh inflicts three hearts of damage and then six hearts of damage um when it’s upgraded you can either mix a fermented spider

Eye with a potion of poison or you can mix a fermented spider eye with a potion of instant health it doesn’t matter if it’s one or two it’ll always end up the same thing and you can operate it from there um so yeah you can do it either way

I believe it always works all right now we’re gonna need one more fermented spider eye to make a potion of slowness which is uh i’ve actually never used them i’ve never gotten inflicted one of those or used one of those before that was a bunch of scrambled words

Alright so here we go potion of harming does instant damage um so we can make these into uh splash potions if you’d like and yeah alrighty so now we’re going to be making one more potion i hope let’s just look at all of them here i believe this is the last potion

There’s a potion of slowness so there’s two ways of doing this you can either i’m just going to do this real quick because i don’t have another magnet cream um sure let’s do that um so obviously there’s two ways of doing this you can either have a potion of

Fire resistance or a potion of swiftness and mix it with a spider eye a fermented spider excuse me um make one more minecraft music i loved it i love me some minecraft music i just dang it and okay uh but the portion of slowness i believe

Let me check here i don’t actually don’t know these affect what it does um players moving is slow to crouch is slowed like when you’re crouching your speed is like this it’s your normal speed so instead of this or this it’s this um i believe it’s the same even if it’s uh

I think you can only extend these i don’t think you can make them go uh any higher but if you also mix it with a uh portion of fire resistance you get a portion of slowness as well so that is the guy to making all the potions that
