Sword4000 – 100 Days in ONE BLOCK SKYBLOCK in Hardcore Minecraft…

One block one life 100 days that’s right over the next 100 days i’m going to try and build an island a world a whole community from this one block people have done this before but today i’m going to try it myself to see how far i can get in this

World this block has 12 different phases allowing me to slowly progress will i be able to break my way through all 12 phases and reach the end let’s find out if you want to join the server and try this yourself check out all of the information in the description

Now when i started this all i knew was that i was going to be doing a lot of mining over the next 100 days and because i’m on a server there’s an economy on here so until i could make a money source every single block i would

Get in this world would come from this block so after staring into the void i started mining and straight away i entered the planes phase these phases are self-explanatory each one has a theme that allows you to get blocks from that theme to build with on your island

So in the planes i’ll be getting dirt stone wood and a few animals which started off with a pig now due to limited space i had to expand to accommodate for the pig but mr pig didn’t last very long on this island because he wouldn’t move but that’s fine

Because after punching my way through some coal ore that i don’t have the resources to mine yet i got mr sheep who also didn’t last very long here although i felt somewhat guilty i continued mining the block i was able to grab a few more important blocks like

Wood which allowed me to craft up my first tools and finally mine up some of the stone here instead of just punching it like a fool now i could actually start collecting some blocks at a quicker speed oh and i may have killed a chicken that decided he wants to join me

On my adventure i promise i will save some animals eventually but look at the space i’m working with i don’t have room for animals here with that in mind it was time to expand this island with only limited blocks making half slabs out of my wood and

Cobblestone would allow me to expand two times quicker but still with that i only had enough blocks to expand by a small amount at least enough for me to save one or two animals at some point to get a food source set up because at the moment my food source is non-existent so

These animals need to die or i will but as day one came to an end i started saving a few animals here and was even able to upgrade my tools and grab a few pieces of iron which will definitely come in use later when day two started i mined all day

Saving all of the animals that spawned in and even was able to grab a sapling which is huge like i can plant trees now and grow my own wood so i made sure to plant this thing down and got back to mining which is exactly what i did all

Day literally the whole of day two was breaking this block by the time day three rolled around this place was starting to look like a farm there were animals everywhere and not only animals because today i got my first friend a villager i didn’t really know what to do with

This guy right now so i decided to call him winston and continued with my day which i’m sure you can guess by now was just spent mining blocks until winston got a friend another villager spawned which is great but now this place was seriously starting to get overcrowded which meant

It was time to get the last few days worth of blocks together and expand my island again instead of building around the block like everybody else does i wanted to build out from it making the block that regenerates the front of my island i built all the way into the night and got

This place completed now i had room for a house and even had enough resources to make a load of fences and line out a farm area for all of these animals to move into i was already so happy with how this island looked and all of it had come

From this one block if i could do this after six days i couldn’t wait to see how this turned out by day 100 on day seven as soon as i got back to mining i advanced onto phase two of the block the underground this phase was the

True start of the challenge now i wasn’t just limited on resources but also i was going to be put up against mobs that were trying to kill me my plan from here was to try and get some iron from the block to craft up some armor and now

Because we’re on the underground phase that should be easier than it was during the planes so i got straight to work mining the block as expected this phase gave me a load of oars but also slowed me down a lot with things like obsidian and even though i

Had already got a couple of diamonds i didn’t yet have enough for a diamond pickaxe so i was stuck mining obsidian with an iron pickaxe which took me ages but finally it broke and i got an obsidian block again i was so annoyed but that was fine i just spent a long

Time mining it and again and again and again and then we went back to getting iron after i lined up a few more blocks i found another diamond which took my total up to three i decided straight away to turn these into a diamond pickaxe to prevent the obsidian problem

From happening ever again and then i grabbed the last few pieces of iron i needed to make my armor the block will get much harder than just spawning zombies and skeletons so hopefully this armor will protect me against those mobs but for now i was

Safe and if i wanted to stay that way i would need to set up a farm because even though i have a load of animals i have no food to breed them with and no food to feed myself either so i definitely needed to set up a farm

But i had one main problem the block hadn’t yet given me any water and that helps a lot when it comes to making a farm so for now this thing will just have to be very very dry once the farm had been built all i had

To do was wait for the wheat to grow so that i could fill out the rest of the farm but until then i had another idea this tree was my only tree and i didn’t really have much room around here for many more so i wanted to expand another

Branch off the island to build a tree farm for all of my trees to be able to grow and give me infinite wood i didn’t realize until right now that this island started looking a little bit sauce after i added the tree farm but if we cut to

Another angle we can see that this tree farm is great and now i can get as much wood as i want to expand my island even though i’m trying to only expand with dirt for the main places since i got to the underground phase of the

Block it has been really hard to get much more dirt since it’s just given me a load of stone and ores instead and now to get to phase 3 of the block i need to break just over 800 more blocks so i made myself a few pickaxes and got to

Work breaking through i had to kill a load of mobs over these next few days and my armor took a beating but it all paid off because as i was killing the zombies one of them dropped a carrot instead of just planting this carrot down with the wheat i extended

The farm a bit and made a carrot section and then used the bone meal i got from all of the skeletons i had killed to grow these quickly and expand the farm once that was done it was back to mining the block and as soon as i did that i

Reached phase three the winter phase a new challenge was here and i was hoping for something great to come from this something like ice or water but no instead i got a polar bear like what am i supposed to do with a polar bear i don’t know this guy wasn’t hostile so he

Was all right to keep here but he also just didn’t move he just stood on the block so i had no choice but to aggravate this guy and move him away all right come on he’s nearly getting me if we can just lock him in here come on in

Perfect now we can just shut the doors not today nice try once he was dealt with i moved back over to the block and started mining i really wanted some water from here but this block was only giving me ice now yeah ice is great but

When you can’t break the ice into water because you can’t physically put a block below it it makes the ice completely pointless so i just had to keep breaking it and letting it go to waste after spending a few days that’s right days i decided it was time to upgrade my tools

Again i had enough diamonds and obsidian for an enchantment table so i made one and started upgrading my tools obviously with no sugarcane i can’t get bookshelves yet so i’ll have to work on that later on but for now the level 1 enchants will work fine when i got back

To the block with my new tools i wanted to power through this phase because well it just wasn’t benefiting me at all until i got this chest inside was two blocks of ice finally i could get infinite water on this island and with that in mind i placed the ice

Down gathered the water and then got straight to watering my farm now i have water i can go below the island as far as i want but instead of going below right now i chose to go up and expand my wheat farm now this was done it was time to get on

With something i’ve been holding off building my house even though i hate this winter phase i got spruce wood from it which is not too bad so at least now i can build out of spruce wood which is exactly what i did now if you ever need anybody to build

For you i’ll be the last person you’d want to ask all of my houses look exactly the same when i build so i just went for this classic design it isn’t great but it does the job and with the shell of the house now done i

Was able to move on to the inside which i’m also no better at designing i tried my best adding some chests furnaces and even a little enchanting area but when it was all done i had over 3000 blocks worth of loot to transport inside which

Wasn’t a quick job and as soon as that was finally done i moved on to a new task to make the island look a little bit better now that i can go below the island i wanted to drop by one block and make a grass verge around the entire

Island to plant trees to kind of hide the void and just make this feel more like a real world but before i did any building i realized i had more than enough diamonds to finally upgrade my armor and protect myself a little bit more

So i did that then i grabbed all of my scrap pieces of dirt and got to work i didn’t expect to get as much done as i did but after building for a while i got most of the island done and surrounded now all i had to do was wait for the

Grass to spread and then i could start growing some trees and make this place look lively but until then as you can expect i was back to mining the block which didn’t last long on phase three because i finally reached phase four the ocean i had no clue what to expect from

This phase but what i quickly found out was that i was going to have to adapt this cage around the block because every time a new mob spawned from this biome a cube of water came with it even these little fish were flushing me out so i

Quickly had to adapt my strategy and build a box around the block to stop the water from just flooding my island over and over again which actually worked perfectly i could stand outside mind the block and all of the mobs would be trapped inside of the cage meaning that

They couldn’t hit me but i could hit them i was getting some really strange and pointless blocks from this phase well something good did come from it every so often i would get this chest that spawned that gave me like eight bucks each time so i was hoping that i could get this

Chest a few times and then i’d be able to upgrade my entire enchanting setup and finally be able to spend all of my xp i got super lucky and this chest spawned a bunch but after mining for the entire day speeding through this phase i advanced straight onto phase five the

Jungle so i cleared all of the mobs that spawned in during the ocean phase and then moved straight onto gathering blocks from the jungle this phase actually seemed like a helpful one again i was getting animals jungle saplings and even this cool parrot i couldn’t miss the opportunity to

Attain this guy so i made him my friend and called him jeff say hello to jeff in the comments down below anyway me and jeff decided to try and be smart after becoming friends we thought that maybe we could make this block a little bit more efficient if we made a

Water stream flowing all of the mobs away from it it would make it much easier to farm the loot and gather it all but as usual i was wrong the first mob that spawned in completely ruined the water stream so i decided to drain the water and then go back to the

Old strategy this phase was great though i got some gold bamboo and then was even surprised with a panda now one of my goals was that eventually i want small islands branching off the main island here showing each phase of the block that i have completed so

Instead of just killing this panda i pushed him out of the cage and saved him for later after i finally moved the panda i remembered i had 40 levels of xp and a bunch of books from phase 4 that i still hadn’t used so i finally put them to use

And built an enchanting area i wasn’t too focused on enchanting my armor at the moment so i crafted some brand new tools and enchanted those instead enchantments like efficiency 4 will make getting through these phases so much easier i had already got a few jungle saplings

From this phase as well so i decided to head back over to my tree farm and expand at two brand new islands for some jungle trees eventually i want a farm for each tree on this island so the more saplings i get the larger this area will

Become i stuck to the same style i did earlier and built two more tree forms and to make sure that this place didn’t just look boring and have no colour to it i decided to add some crops along the walkway to brighten it up a little bit

And then this form was done now obviously because i’m on a server there is a whole economy on here that allows players to buy and sell things to upgrade their personal islands now me personally i have zero dollars to my name so if i want to start buying

Anything to help me upgrade my island i need a way to make money now thankfully because of the jungle phase i saw an opportunity in the pumpkins that i had taken from the block i decided to start working on a pumpkin farm each pumpkin doesn’t sell for much but

If i can get a good enough farm going on this island i’ll be able to make a few thousand dollars each time i farm it and use that to buy some helpful blogs so once again i expanded the island out into the void and started working on a

Pumpkin farm now obviously right now this is not a big area to work with but because i have limited dirt i can’t make this farm any bigger so for now this will have to do i decided to use all of my bones to bone meal the seeds to get them growing as

Fast as possible the faster i can get these pumpkins to grow the faster i’ll be able to expand the farm and make more money after i added a few extra touches to protect the seeds this farm was actually starting to look good now all i

Had to do was farm it up and keep selling it to make some cash when i went back to the block i mined straight through into phase six the swamp this phase caught me by surprise i was just mining away gathering some swamp-like blocks and then this happened oh oh what the hell

Well that dude just broke the cage open oh my god nearly killed me yeah this guy was big he broke my cage in half he just busted it wide open and started killing me so instead of just rebuilding this for the slime to come back again and just break it i increased

The size of the cage by one block on each side to give enough room for a slime to spawn inside once the upgrade was done i got back to mining and tested it out surprisingly for once something i did worked perfectly the slimes didn’t break the cage and there was more than

Enough room inside for plenty of them this phase wasn’t only a struggle with the slimes though it spawned witches that poisoned me making this a lot harder but i was still able to get diamonds dirt and even more villagers which was great eventually i want to build a village on

This island to let me trade for a bunch of xp and loot so the more villages i get now the better as i continued the dream of reaching day 100 on this island was almost cut short oh oh oh no no okay no no run run run run run run run run run

Why the hell did an evoker just spawn in i need to heal up before i go back there oh the vex is here oh no this is not going to end well oh yeah any vocal spawned on the block now obviously that’s great i killed it i got

A totem off and dying now we can move on to clearing the swamp phase right no because later that day as i was still mining up the block another one spawned and it straight up almost killed me again i wasn’t sure how many more times this

Was going to happen so now i was on edge the entire time until i was going to clear this face i carried on mining and i was able to get a load more dirt diamonds and yeah as expected morifocus showed up but after a few days mining through probably

My hardest phase yet i finally completed it and moved on to phase seven the dungeons now after the way phase six treated me i wasn’t really interested in taking on whatever kind of mobs the dungeon phase was now going to give me i knew that if a swamp phase almost killed me dungeons

Are gonna be so much harder so with that in mind i went and started a new extension on the island for the village area as mentioned earlier when it comes to building i have absolutely zero skill i can’t even copy a village properly so when it came to the building i just

Stuck with the generic village theme i had to expand with cobblestone because my pumpkin farm hadn’t yet made enough money for me to buy any extra dirt and i wanted to save all of my dirt for my farms but once the platform was done i built some standard houses a blacksmith

And a large town hall for the villagers to breed in this place actually turned out a lot better than i expected now all it needed was the villagers to be dragged over in the boats and to be given jobs then my village was complete with the dirt i saved from expanding the

Village with cobblestone instead i extended my farm but instead of going further out into the void i decided to build the farm up and stack them on top of each other to keep it all in the same area i used spruce logs to line out the edges and

Then filled in the dirt to allow me to start planting the seeds ready for me to sell when they grow when it was done i had to do some waiting for them to grow and instead of just standing around wasting time i headed back over to the block and tried

To get through the dungeons phase as quickly as possible because all it was giving me apart from some stone and oars was just a bunch of mobs that wanted to kill me i decided to make some more changes to my cage and try and make it

Just a bit safer around here you know i wanted to try and make a hopper system that would collect all of the blocks that i mined from above and then transport them into a chest system down below so that i didn’t have to keep dumping my inventory in random chests it

Took me a few minutes to make and of course not every technique is 100 effective but this worked so well i was able to stand below and mine the block as much as i wanted without being attacked by any mobs and all of the blocks were being picked up by the

Hoppers and sent straight into the chests not only was this way safer but i was also making much quicker progress through the phases since i had no mobs trying to slow me down and i didn’t have to keep emptying my inventory it became more of an xp farm than a block and with

All of my xp just stacking up it was now time to spend some of it my armor had taken an absolute beating again and i needed a new set so i made all the pieces i needed and enchanted it with the highest level i could and then

Made a new sword and added sharpness 5 to it now it was even easier to kill the mobs that had fallen into the hole but because this new technique of mining the block was so quick i powered through phase seven and before i knew it i had already reached the desert stage which

Was phase eight this phase was finally another useful one i was able to get sand cactus and even some rabbits but with all of these new blocks i was starting to run into a new problem i had pretty much completely run out of storage in my house and instead of just throwing down

Random chests to store my valuable blocks again i chose to build a brand new storage house that served as almost an entry point to the village in the farm area again i built the most basic of houses i pretty much just scaled down the main house and then changed the interior but

Even though it wasn’t the most advanced builds it worked perfectly for what i needed it to do now all i had to do was move all of my items from the other house into here and once that was done it was time to finally sell my pumpkins i had been

Letting them grow all this time and i got a good few hundred dollars for selling them each time so straight away i spent that cash on a few stacks of dirt to expand the farm and continue to make money it was during the expansion i realized that melons were probably a much better

Choice of crop for this farm they are worth more and you get more of them when you farm them so i decided to plant a few melon seeds down and start converting this pumpkin farm into a melon farm it took me quite a while to replant all of the seeds but after some

Time i got it done and then it had me thinking what else could possibly be a good money maker i looked through the different pages of the store and saw the emeralds sold for a really good amount now with the villages i had i knew that

I would actually be able to trade to get a load of emeralds with them and then money making would actually be quite easy luckily i already had a tree farm which meant getting wood wouldn’t be hard i got a load of sticks and then went straight to the villagers to start

Trading and after only one trading session i got 1 300 for my emeralds for literally two minutes of work getting money was going to be so much easier now so after i chopped down a few more trees and did a little bit more trading with the villagers i had over two stacks of

Emeralds that i sold for over four thousand dollars this was great i had a lot of money coming in now but until i could test how much money would be made from the farm as well i started on a new build as mentioned the block has 12

Different phases and one of my goals was to try and make an island with the design of each phase that i complete as a kind of reminder of what i’ve accomplished on here and since the first phase i completed was the planes that was the first one i wanted to do i went

With a basic design a small pond with a rock and some grass around it i loved how this turned out and once it was done i started working on two more islands just to the side of it one of them was made for the winter phase which

Included an igloo and some spruce trees whilst the other one was a jungle theme that had some jungle trees bushes bamboo and even after quite a lot of work i dragged the panda over from when i was actually on that phase at this point the island was starting to

Look incredible i think these biome specific islands made a huge difference but until i could start working on a few more themed islands i wanted to finish more of the phases on the block to make sure i had enough different blocks that i could use

After i did a few more blocks of the desert i hit phase nine the nether this phase was just absolute chaos a whole new type of challenge remember when i had to expand the cage because of the slimes earlier well now i had an even bigger mob that i had to deal with Oh my god there’s a ghast oh it’s broken the cage no oh i don’t have a bow i can’t oh there’s mobs everywhere what is going on here that ghast is huge i didn’t realize a gas was that big i’ve never been that close to a ghast

This is not good there are magmas oh my house is burning oh no the blazes i didn’t even think about the blazes they were just shooting fire everywhere okay it’s not connected to this other building luckily i need to try and stop this quickly oh is there any blazes left

No right let’s just get rid of all these the house ah the blaze and the ghasts had destroyed my island now my house was burning the mobs were free and everything was crumbling right in front of me i tried my best to put out the fire but decided

It was too late and eventually just left the house as it was my new main focus was making a better cage around the block that would stop something like this from happening again i needed something that wouldn’t burn down which meant i had to build this out of stone

Once it was done it didn’t look great but it made sure that the mobs weren’t escaping and thanks to most blocks from the nether being instantly breakable i was able to completely fly through phase nine and complete the nether phase before it caused much more problems but

Now i was on phase 10 the plenty biome now i had no idea what this biome actually was like plenty what does that even mean well before i could actually test it out i had a load of nether mobs still clogging up the cage so before i

Could start mining it i had to kill all of those this phase was actually probably the best one yet it was full of colourful useful blocks and non-hostile creatures like villagers and even donkeys these donkeys were perfect to use on my planes by home island so i got them on a lead

And brought them all the way over this phase continued to impress me when i went back i was getting more animals villagers wood and even food but i was also getting a load more blocks and animals that were kind of just filling up the island so instead of

Just keeping this half burnt building right in the middle of the island i decided it was time to actually tear this down and build something a little bit more productive and practical where it is i came up with the idea of building a villager hut for specific jobs i was

Getting a lot more villagers from this phase of the block and the village is already quite overpopulated so instead of pushing them all over there i built a simple and effective hut to store them inside of and give them jobs to make trading much easier the change looked so

Much better once it was done it made the middle of the island seem a lot more welcoming and lively now that i had villagers trapped inside of the hut trading for emeralds and cash was going to be so much easier and that was when i came up with a new plan to

Make money even quicker bamboo is a great way to make sticks for trading so a bamboo farm on the island would be really helpful at getting me some cash i decided to build the bamboo farm right next to the melon farm as everyone knows now bamboo grows pretty high so i had to

Make sure that each layer had enough room to grow all the way up and after a quick and easy build the bamboo farm was complete and now i had a super efficient way to gather sticks for trading instead of just chopping down wood but since it

Was now day 97 i didn’t really have much time to do more trading with the villagers and because i was enjoying this phase of the block so much because it didn’t try to kill me every 10 seconds i completed it so quickly i had broken 2 000 blocks within a couple of

Days and now had made it all the way to phase 11. this phase was called desolation i didn’t even know what it meant so i had to google it and google says that it’s a state of complete emptiness or destruction so i was extremely scared to be starting this phase especially with

Only one day remaining on this challenge if i died now i would be so angry after breaking only two blocks in this biome something crazy happened none of these blocks are even worse oh oh what the hell what’s it oh i’m blind why can’t i hit this guy what’s going on here

Where’s the one i can hit disappeared to they’ve gone there he is right come on why can’t i not hit him this is like the fake illusion of oh now i’m breaking the thing the trap is falling apart which one is it is it you is it you no oh oh they’re dead

Oh okay finally the illusioner was taken down and after going back to mining the block another one spawned in this time i didn’t let him teleport before i killed him but after mining a few more blocks and gathering some materials i had officially made it all

The way to day 100 after taking on 11 out of the 12 phases on this server my journey for today’s video had come to an end over the past 100 days i had become self-sufficient allowing me to expand my island form a village and take on the
