The ULTIMATE Alchemy Guide (Including a Brewing Machine)

Hey everybody it’s thorpie and it’s been a while since I’ve made a video because I’ve been busy with real life stuff and you know that’s just how life is but today I want to talk to you guys about alchemy now I recently went through my levels and I realized that I don’t have

A lot of alchemy levels and I wanted to do this the easiest way possible of course because you know why else why suffer when you don’t have to so I went through it and I figured out the fast way to get the Alchemy XP the best way to build an auto

Brewer all of these sort of things and now I’m going to share with you so the first thing that we need to talk about is going to be what Alchemy is all right so Hypixel has this system where you can brew potions and basically all of them

Suck so the first thing you need to know is all of the potions are terrible they’re entirely worthless the only point of getting Alchemy levels is so that your God potions will last longer they last longer you save money right so it’s Gonna Save you like millions of

Coins Alchemy uh bonuses also include some Skyblock XP you’re gonna get some intelligence and potions that you brew will have a long duration this includes God potions as I’ve mentioned so anyway not really worth it for the potions themselves but the intelligence is nice and the potion effect extending is nice as well

So first things first we’re going to talk about how Alchemy works so you’re going to grab you know a brewing stand which is just going to be the vanilla recipe you just need a blaze rod with three Cobble beneath it um you can make a stack for basically

Like 500 coins it’s super easy so you’re going to put your ingredient on top and you’re gonna put your water or awkward potions here so in order to brew the vast majority of Potions you’re going to need to turn your water bottles into awkward potions using netherworts so

I’ve created this machine to do that as easily as possible and I’ll talk to you about that in a minute but first let’s just demonstrate the basics so what we’re going to do is we are going to grab glass bottles now you can’t actually buy glass bottles unfortunately

So the easiest way to get them is going to be to go to the hub and to go and talk to the Builder and to buy glass and store it somewhere and then craft it so you’re going to buy glass and then you’re gonna have to craft it

Um so what I like to do is I like to fill up on glass and also fill up as many kind of sacks or backpacks as I have take it back to my Island and go up to some kind of chest that I have so like this one I’ve dedicated to

Glass so what we’re going to do is we’re going to open up a crafting bench so if you’ve got the quick craft this makes it a lot easier you just are going to fill up with your glass bottles and craft them as much as you can obviously

Only use what’s in your inventory so anyway So eventually you’re gonna have a whole bunch of glass bottles and you’re gonna grab these guys and I’ll show you how to fill them the easy way but for now we’re just going to fill them in general and you’re just going to right

Click them on so water source block and you’re going to get water bottles so then you’re going to walk over to your brewing stand you’re going to fill it with your water bottles you’re going to put in another word now this always takes 20 seconds there’s no way to make

This faster it just is what it is there’s no pets that help now there is alchemy pets but this just means they get XP from Alchemy so if you’re doing Alchemy you should probably have these pets out the sheep or the jellyfish are the two Alchemy pets and there’s also the parrot

Um which is nice to have because it boosts potions durations and it also uh will make the guide potions last longer but again something worth leveling while you’re doing Alchemy but it doesn’t actually provide any bonus to Alchemy so none of these providing bonus to Alchemy

But if you’re doing Alchemy you might as well be leveling Alchemy pets so then you have these awkward potions now if I were to collect one of these I would get 5xp that’s worthless to us like we have no purpose for that however if you then

Add another ingredient and you can add a whole list of ingredients it’s on the wiki I’m not going to go through all the options I’m just going to go through the best options um you add another ingredient and you can then Brew it for another 20 seconds

And get a different kind of potion now each ingredient is going to have a different kind of potion again they all are sucky it’s not really worth making um so you brew them all and then you have an interesting option where you can actually grab a enchanted glowstone dust

Or an enchanted glowstone obviously these things are worth different amounts um and then you can add it to the potion now you can only add one of these so whatever uh level you make your potion so a level like two ingredients so enchanted sugar or like Enchanted melon or whatever will

Make a level three potion and then the tier three Enchanted so like when you combine Enchanted stuff so like this Enchanted sugar cane will make a tear we’ll make a level five potion this is like a level three potion this is like a level one potion then you can grab that

And upgrade it using the glossum dust so this will upgrade it by two and this will upgrade it by three now again potions are useless so we don’t really care except that when we add something like the enchanted glowstone dust or the enchanted glowstone we can actually sell

These for more to the NPC which becomes important when we’re talking about costs so right now if I was to go to an NPC menu and trade the water bottle it’s worth two coins obviously that’s worthless the glass bottle is worth just as much um and this healing five potion for

Example is 37 coins that’s terrible but the speed eight potion that we have here is worth 28 667. so again you’re not gonna make money doing the fast way unfortunately but you can make a little bit of money back if you add this glowstone now that is an extra step so

It’s annoying but with Auto Brewer that I’m going to show you it’s exactly the same amount of time so let’s talk about what the best potions to make are hey there everybody if you’ve gotten to this part of the video I ask you you know like it and subscribe

If you can really helps me out as a small YouTuber um you’ll notice that most of my views here are actually from non-subscribed people so you know it’d be great if you subscribe thanks so the best potions to make at this moment in time and costs vary a little

Bit is going to be either the enchanted sugar cane which is going to give you speed five so brewing with the enchanted sugar cane because it is the most cost effective so this is going to cost you the least amount if you are just buying the sugar cane and

Brewing the potion and not selling anything so you’re not putting in the glowstone and you’re not selling the potion because it can take time and it’s kind of annoying and honestly it may or may not be worth it depending on how much money you have um that is the most cost effective at

This time if you are just selling it now the most cost effective at this time in terms of like making it fast but still like costing as little as possible is gonna be to grab your Enchanted fermented spider eye which is going to give you weakness 5 and add on an

Enchanted glowstone and then sell those weakness eights back so that is going to be the cheapest fast way of doing it because these are going to give you 15 000 XP each and this one’s going to give you 15 000 XP each but these sell for a little bit more so

If you’re selling them back after adding the enchanted glowstone you can make a little bit more money back and therefore spend a little less now if you want to do this the slower way and actually make money or almost make money depending on the current prices at the time you can make healing

Potions so healing 5 with Enchanted blistering melon I always want to say blistering I don’t know why but Enchanted glistering melon currently um costs you a little bit now the problem with these three guys is uh these two are actually profit right now if you add the glowstone and then sell

The potion back but selling the potion takes time and also um these guys will only give you 500 XP 600 XP and 600 XP um for the potion so it takes a lot longer to get the Alchemy levels you will make profit but you also will spend

More time doing this so it may not be worth it unless you’re like really going for like a null cost uh kind of system because at the end of the day you’re better off like farming or something and then spending more me because of the time cost

So I wouldn’t recommend using this this one is a possibility with selling it back but honestly I personally would go for just Enchanted sugar cane and you just Brew them and you don’t even sell them back and don’t bother because at the end of the day what you’re gonna make from selling them

Back is like 10K per potion which is not significant in the long run so just to review if you want to make profit glistering melon prop puffer fish Jada puffer fish Enchanted rabbit foot throw on an enchanted glowstone sell the potions back if you want to go fast but in the

Cheapest way possible Enchanted fermented spider eye add the enchanted glowstone instead sell them back if you want to go fast fast and spend the most money you can do Enchanted sugar cane and just don’t sell it back this is what I would do I think this is the most cost efficient uh way

Of doing Alchemy now Alchemy is really annoying obviously you guys watch me just put all those ingredients into the things one at a time and that sucks so let’s make it a lot easier so I’m gonna show you this little Auto Brewer that I made it’s not a true Auto Auto Brewer

Um because you know Hypixel hates to automate things so it made it as hard as possible but it’s pretty darn close to automatic considering that you have to remove the potions manually so um I would recommend I’m going to show you guys how to build this and I’m

Going to show you how to build it to 11 and the reason I say 11 is because that’s how many inventory slots you have and you have to take out the potions manually so I’m going to show you how it works first so you go to the top there’s like

A little thing and you just right click here and you can hold down right click or you can spam click whatever you want and you’re just going to make water bottles and they’re just gonna go into the top of the Auto Brewer this is going

To set you up with a ton of water bottles you can put as many chests up here as you want um I’m gonna put like three or four when I build it but that’s really the idea um so you’re all gonna have to kind of block up this area with glass because it

Likes to just kind of throw these randomly but not too bad next what we’re going to do is I’m going to show you that these are awkward potions these are nether words so this Auto Brewer right now is made to create an awkward potion add my ingredient of choice and then add

My glowstone so this is going to be like a way to do this profitably again I don’t recommend it because the profit isn’t worth the time let me just show you what all is happening this is going to have netherwort netherwort and then it’s going to make awkward potions from our water bottles

This is going to have our ingredient of choice in this case I’m using Enchanted melon not the good kind of Enchanted melon just the cheap version so I can show you how it works which is going to make healing threes ome healing threes and then finally we’re going to have our Enchanted

Glowstone dust at the end here and that’s going to change these healing threes into healing fives this is just a proof of concept this is not what I the ingredients I would use ever I just you know didn’t want to spend a ton of money on this particular

Show since I won’t be using it this way I’ll only be using two just the awkward potion and then the sugar cane so we’re going to hit this button we’re going to wait a few seconds until these potions disappear and we’re going to hit the button again

And you’ll see that this brewing stand is going to fill up with water bottles that are going to go be a come awkward potions this one is going to fill up with awkward potions that are going to become healing potions and these guys are going to be

One kind of tick delayed because I didn’t actually take these out so I have to take these out for them to fill I take those out and see they’ll fill with healing threes and I put more glowstone in and as you can see I got XP at the end

Which is important because otherwise this whole method is useless obviously but without further Ado let’s show you guys how to build it so the first thing we’re going to do is we are going to place a block of choice in the spot where we’re going to have our Brewing

Stands and the reason for this is that you cannot actually put um Hoppers onto brewing stand now if you just right click with a hopper you’re just going to open the interface which obviously is not what we want because now we can’t build and place Hoppers so

We’re going to make 11 of these because our our inventory holds 11 times three it would actually hold 36 but the SkyBlock menu unfortunately takes up a spot so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven um and then we’re going to put 11 hoppers this way

Next up we’re going to grab chests um so I’m actually going to go ahead and show you guys how I like to craft chests so I just grab Birchwood because it’s almost always cheapest I cannot explain to you why but it is we have a stack of chests you can also I

Believe buy these from the Builder and then I like to go to the Redstone Merchant so we go to the hub yeah so he sells chest too so we’re going to go ahead and grab a couple stacks of chests we’re gonna go to the hub and we’re

Gonna grab tripwire hooks let’s get two stacks of those just to make sure we have enough and another stack of chests back to the island and what we’re gonna do is we’re going to craft half of these chests into trap chests and the reason for that is that you can’t place chests

Right next to each other um but you can place chest and then trap chests so we’re gonna go ahead and do two so chest trap chest chest all the way down chest trap regular trapped regular and then we are going to add our ingredient hoppers on top now this isn’t

Strictly necessary you can go in and put like a stack of whatever you want in um kind of whenever but I just kind of prefer to be able to store this up and have it going for a really really long time with minimal interaction um

So this is going to allow you to brew like I don’t know like a thousand potions or something without having to refill ingredients all right so this is now ready to replace because we can so we’re going to grab our Brewing stands and place all the way down

And then we’re going to do the next one so the next is going to be very similar we’re going to put 11 Hoppers and then we’re gonna place our brewing stand stand-ins and then 11 hoppers on top now in theory you can make this as long

As you want but I don’t really see the point of making it longer than 11 because you can’t hold that many potions in your inventory anyway so that’s what I’m doing all right and then we’re going to replace these and put in our Brewing stands

So this first one is going to be our glowstone Adder if you’re interested in that if you’re not interested you only have to build two of these and I’ll tell you where you can stop and where you can kind of continue to get the top bit

So next we’re going to do our chest thing again and the reason for this is that we actually need to separate out because of the way we’re doing the Redstone and then our ingredient chest again optional as I mentioned just lets you run it longer without having to worry about refilling it

All right and now we’re going to do our red stoning so um you’re gonna need a platform block any block you choose is fine you’re going to put it under this Hopper so the one that’s got the brewing stand on it and you’re gonna place all the way across 11 blocks

And then you’re going to grab the repeaters now again you can get these from the Redstone Merchant like we got the um basically all these things The Hoppers the Trap jet or the tripwire hooks all of that and then we’re going to place another layer like this

And on top of this layer we’re going to place redstone torches then we’re gonna place blocks all the way down with repeaters again then you can choose which side You’re Gonna Want Your um switch so Redstone all the way down and just to make sure that this never runs out

Um you are going to need one of these every 16 blocks um the way I have it set up but uh for us you know it’s just just really need one because we’re only doing 11. and then we’re gonna need a lever which I’m actually going to steal from here

So there’s our lever and you’ll see that when I push the lever all of these will turn on and all of those will turn off so we’re gonna go ahead and build the next layer up it’s going to be exactly like this layer so if you are

Only building two so you’re not building the glowstone part of the glowstone adding part this is where you would stop and then come back so then we’re gonna put our stand in here we have our Brewing standing block and we’re gonna put our chests again alrighty now we’re gonna Redstone this

Guy up just like we did the last one so I’m going to show it to you again if you’d like to skip ahead please feel free so we’re gonna go right under our brewing stand in actually we’re going to replace that with Brewing stands first and then we’re going to place a block

Right here and go all the way across and this is going to be our repeaters so repeaters into the one under road blocks which is above heaters across and then we’re gonna do our line of redstone and we’re just gonna March this guy up like that repeater there to make sure he

Doesn’t run out and there we go so you’ll notice I flip the switch right so if you’re building the double Brewer um you actually are going to be limited to eight of these guys so because of redstone limits you can only build eight of these um if you’re doing the double Brewer if

You are doing only one obviously you’re fine with 11 and that’s what I recommend anyway so you know you do whatever you want so uh we’re gonna go ahead and do the top part of this guy now and I’m only going to do it for eight of them because

That’s well how many we can do otherwise it won’t work and I can’t demonstrate it and then you’ll be like therapy I’ll be like yeah I I did I lied and I don’t want to do that to you so so this top part can really be as big as you want it to be um it’s just going to be the water bottle storage so I’m gonna do like that many

All right so they’re at the top part I’m going to encase the whole thing in glass I’m going to use panes above the chest to make sure that they can still open and I’m gonna make it uh three High um now for this you can actually like put two here

If you want um but it doesn’t really matter then you’re gonna grab a magical water bucket or a regular water bucket whatever you have on hand you’re gonna place a water source block on one end and it’s gonna flow all the way to the other end then you’re gonna grab your

Glass bottles You’re Gonna Pop down into this Square I would recommend placing a glass block right there so you don’t flow anywhere and you’re just gonna right click on this water with a full inventory now because the chests are um have this glass pane here you’re actually going to end up with water

Bottles on that glass pane block unless you also go out a little bit again making sure that you’re three High and you’re gonna place a block here to block you and a magical water bucket there and your water your bottles are going to flow all the way

Down there so we’re going to grab here we’re going to go to our glass bottles and we’re going to click on our water source block and all of our water bottles are going to flow down there and slowly fill up all these chests we’re gonna do this for

A really really really really really really really really really really really long time and we’re going to have filled water bottle chests all the way down so this is going to take about a stack of bottles per chest all right so we’ve got all of our things

Loaded up and it’s ready to go and it’s got water in the top it’s starting to make awkward push it’s already with another word and I’m going to show you how it works now one thing to note is that Enchanted glowstone blocks cannot be placed into The Hoppers because the

Hoppers won’t pipe them into the Brewing stands so you’re going to have to place them manually a stack at a time but I don’t think it’ll be too much of an issue because honestly 64 times 20 seconds that’s like 30 minutes I think or so so

All right let’s go ahead and run this thing so we’re gonna go ahead and click our button wait a few seconds and click again here we go you can see the potions are coming to the second layer where we’re going to make them into healing potions

So you do have to place the first ingredient of all the kinds in order to make it go so for example I have to place the first glistering melon so if you just pipe them and they won’t work but like for this one I placed just

One Nether wart and you’ll see that on the next round it’ll work so when you’re using eight it looks like there’s a bit of a redstone delay when you have this whole set going um there we go you just keep doing that over and over again now there is

Something going on here where these guys are being a little bit wonky and I’m really not sure why so unfortunately it looks like the Redstone does get wonky sometimes um so again if you’re doing this you know kind of good luck to you Hypixel does a lot of stuff with the Redstone

That’s really really annoying um and there’s really nothing we can do about it but this is a working Auto Brewer and I wouldn’t use it I would do the sugar cane method and just spend your time making money doing something else instead all right guys thank you so much for
