I did see some of it on twitter but i didn’t watch any of the live streams so that we can experience it together now wait let me just well the music’s great actually i’ll just leave it on but before we get to that guys you know i haven’t played minecraft and

Well it’s not true so you might think like ah you don’t like minecraft anymore that’s not true i love minecraft i still play minecraft i just don’t upload it anymore just uh after my hardcore series just you know i beat the ender dragon everybody’s like all right cool

I’m out and uh there wasn’t a lot of interest there so i’m like okay that’s fine you guys don’t want to see minecraft that’s okay i’m still gonna play it so i still do play it guys just not on camera and sometimes that’s actually fun like

There are other games that i play off camera and i don’t necessarily play on my channel because well some of those games are inappropriate a little bit of violence in them but uh but in in other kids like minecraft you know sometimes there’s just not interest for it that’s okay

But if there is interest and you guys do want to see me continue to play minecraft maybe when a new update comes out something like that we could wait um click the like button if we get enough attention on this video you know we could uh we could

Start another series or something i don’t know post some suggestions too but like not something like do one with like a million mods cause like i’ve tried launching some modded series and they just they just kind of flop out after the first episode and i just think

Tell me tell me tell me tell me sorry okay okay the next update is the update that you know that so many of you and well so many of us as well has been wanting for such a long time it’s the case and click caves yeah the caves and cliffs

All right let’s see what do we got let’s let’s let’s come on amazing to be able to tell everyone that seriously like i’m so excited about this you said he doesn’t sound that excited he’s like i am so excited so here’s the thing right guys like minecraft

Is about like i mean it’s literally in the name we’ve always thought this right that it’s literally in the name mine and caves are like they have been since well i mean i don’t even know like just years and years and years and versions of versions of versions have never really been

Any update to caves i mean there was like the underwater bit where we had some underwater caves but like nothing that really changed caves and it’s a mining game at its core so this is much needed and much uh anticipated for a very long time myself included okay lush caves this is

An addition here to uh that they’ve added okay lush case what it’s like under the tree i don’t get it i’m like looking okay all right vines okay all right okay okay so we’ve got well we got stuff growing down like this this stuff growing down here that aren’t vines this is different

Um and it may to me it looks like a light source because it would be really dark down here without that we’ve also got like this tree this bush here and then also well hmm i wonder these are like they’re grass blocks but like the sides are colored

You know normally just unless you have optifine um the side of a grass block is is dirt in the bottom but this is like grass all the way around i don’t know what that’s about um oh there was like a lily oh what is that dude like right that

Now do we oh i like all these little particles and stuff too now do those provide light as well all right trees growing upside down like they grow out are they growing out of uh were they growing out of stone beautiful okay okay in minecraft all the original caves you

Know it’s pretty much the same there’s not much variation in terms of that’s what we even see features inside of the overwhelm oh okay this was that that bush that i saw the azaleas this a spore blossom closed or open and it emits particles and it looks like light to me i mean

That really does glow berries okay those definitely emit light but when i see these i feel like it’s light a drip leaf plant which is what i thought was like lily pat well we have lily pads already okay overall environment view well i mean with rtx on

And this is called an azalea tree so it’s a unique type of tree that you’ll be it will be easy to spot for players and if you actually find this and start going down its roots you will find a lush cave there so this is another part of adding strategy

That’s that’s why they went down and right next to that allows you to understand what you’re doing and another plant we actually have is the drip leaf plant and you can actually see that they can kind of grow from like water or anywhere else and they grow quite tall but they have

Like a little plant on the top that you can actually hop onto so yeah look the idea of the mechanic behind it is that the leaf will actually tilt down when you stand on it too long so this will actually break through however after a few seconds it’ll come back

Up so it’s kind of this like platforming block that allows you to just you know continue platforming over and over again that’s unknown you know content creators making maps yeah yeah okay i can see performing levels and then they will repair themselves it’s you know what it’s like it’s like

It’s like a tnt run where things drop but then there’s there’s actually a mob coming to the lush caves what yes there is i didn’t see that actually not tell you about this mob now because in the end of the show we will show even more features improving the cave generation

Oh good yes oh yeah so as you can see here i mean this is drastically different to what caves used to look like and there’s definitely a steel style of caves yeah but we wanted to make sure that there was much more variety in the sort of caves and the shapes and the

Sizes you could get and even here you can see that there’s all right there’s some water and then so we actually added something we call local water levels so in one cave you can find like a cave lake and another okay might not have that one local water levels

How does that work at minecraft like the water level has always been like a block 62 that’s sea level so they’re gonna have local water levels i that that’s weird that’s weird how are they gonna do that if it comes in and then the sea level how do they even all right

And this also means that we get naturally generated waterfalls which is so pretty and okay that’s like kind of giving something new ways to traverse whoa dude that is cool because it’s big enough that you can yeah you can use a little bit you can

See in a bit that uh our player here will actually use a boat to raft and that is just such an exciting opportunity through a cave when would you ever want to like normally like look at this it’s so fun and all of us you started to go with the boat on

The waterfall oh that is that yes so another thing to note here is that you can see that a lot of people do and whenever i think about the idea of like it’s literally dripping the image yeah stalactites comes into my head it’s still like on the ground adding these are delayed

Difficult you know it’s a very unique shape that minecraft isn’t really accustomed to yeah but i think the way that the artist uh put it into minecraft works quite well and of course there’s some mechanics surrounding that so you can see that uh someone destroyed the block

What do you do with those and so the drip stone can you fell what i was going to say does it hurt to fall on them on these spikes dude look at that of course that’s cool there’s another interesting mechanic in the drip stone caves

Yes so maybe so in the video that like from the stalactites you could see that it was like dripping water yeah it’s actually if you put the cauldron under it oh it fills it it will fill up with water that’s cool renewable renewable water i wonder if you can

Bring this how do you remember which is stalag tights and stalagmites i know the answer to this stalactites need to hold the ceiling tightly stalactite and stalagmites has a g in it because they’re on the ground let’s see what they say that’s a very good question it has been

Very tricky to remember that no it’s not i just think i learned so we actually yeah it’s hold on tight it’s just yes they’re like tight yes yes yes yes yes so stalactite is in the roof and stalagmite is on the floor perfect yeah yeah she’s right she’s right

All of us but yeah that’s right for a long time like amazing in this update for the sort of redstone engineers out there yes we’ve been thinking about this redstone block that lives in the deep dark a new biome at the deepest depths of the world deep

Darkness wait so the biomes are vertical i am too much today but we are going to show some of the blocks and maybe later a mob that comes from it uh so if we look at the video we can actually see whoa that looks like basically this graphic

Looks like and this is called the skulk blocks and one of the blocks is called the skulk sensor this is the new redstone block as you can see when you place or destroy a block or wireless footsteps it’ll actually detect the vibrations around and then emit a redstone signal

So this is going to be very interesting for redstone players uh we even have a mechanic around it where you can actually use wool with wool occlusion to essentially prevent signals from being able to uh get into the skull sensor so let’s take a look at that now confusing but i understand

It blocks the vibration yeah okay and as you can see here i walked next to the stock sensor oh yeah and it’s actually kind of an infinite loop where the piston is causing a vibration right and then it’s uh activating the skull sensor and going over and over again

But here i’ve actually put a wall in between the piston which prevents the signal from going to the skulk sensor so you can allow you to even do sort of directional skulk sensors where you can put wool blocks on each side that’s crazy because you can you can

Just set a switch and you can have that thing i don’t know how far away and you don’t have to set up any redstone which was always an issue like especially trying to go i wonder if it’ll work vertically because that was always a thing like having things go under and over and

Uh it was kind of confusing and now we we said there’s another mob coming later but i think it’s time for a new mob coming to the caves and cliffs oh all right let’s see and this is a very scary mob oh it lives in the like the deep oh the deep dark

In the deep dark okay this is a very dark place it’s a ballroom this mob is very well adapted to the environment so it actually it can’t see anything so it’s the first blind mob in minecraft and that’s very interesting because it gives such interesting mechanics so instead it will react to vibrations

Yes like the skeletons are blocked so if you aren’t like very careful when you walk around in the deep dark you might upset that mob so it can’t i mean sometimes i’m blind in minecraft and walk right into lava but okay uh yeah let’s see this thing and watch closely

For the warden the warden all right oh okay oh and that was the the one of those sensors okay what is this oh this is cool the stone looks like oh so i wonder if it responds to those sensors how do how do you all right

Oh dude is that a done wait are those candles those are candles like gray candles black candles actually that yo oh does it give you blindness too because look how dark it’s getting super dark all right so that’s when you know oh is this a this is a dungeon

This is a new dungeon so i’m glad they did that too like that you know that we don’t just have like the typical dungeon we always see with the two chests and the cobblestone like in the mossy cobble on bottom oh dude what is he oh you distracted

Yo that thing is cool man be quiet oh oh and you can see when he threw it the particle goes toward it as like oh i hear something and that directs him all right it kind of has like an iron golem walk dude what are you doing wait uh uh

Oh dude wait why did you take so long to shoot it if you’re gonna oh did it fall oh it’s mad oh he’s it’s not that hard oh no dude it’s fast yo dude dude use your sword you got another like just bro come on come on wait dude he’s got full armor

That’s full diamond yeah that’s full armor did that just one two three four six and a half on full diamond or whatever that he may have i don’t know he’s got good armor i mean it may not be enchanted i mean we don’t we can’t tell we can’t tell what armor

He’s got but that’s a lot i mean that’s a lot of damage even if it’s just just full diamond yo dude be careful king v dogs is dead what did we just see we just saw him witness the murder vote out the warden i saw him do it

Because not only is it trying to be scary it’s you know we had to keep a balance to it it was very oh look here we go here we go look at this so cute and terrifying responsive vibrations different ear shapes idea big oh friends with bunnies but then also terrified

Sort of a meme going on twitter to vote for glow squid and look i’m friends with eyeballistic squid and he wanted it so i i traded a vote for the glow squid for shields and one free vent the next time i play among us with him so if he is the imposter

I get shields until everybody else is dead he can’t kill me and if i am the imposter i can vent right in front of him and he won’t say anything so i figured it was a pretty good trade speaking of mountains yes for last year’s vote yes it was a fierce competition yes

But the mountains won after two intense rounds of voting i have a sneak peek into what you’re springing to minecraft on the cliff side of the caves and cliffs oh so they’re sticking them together dog the goats yeah and adorable oh my goodness we better be able to ride these

As you can see they live on the mountains and if you are i don’t know where you’re they might knock you off they all just kill excellent jumping skills yeah can we ride them i want to ride one and jump that’s like also get better mountain generation okay

And more dramatic mountains i’m i want to go pendant just i want to go that means except they’ll probably eat all your crops tops that will be more challenging with lots i mean snow and ice and speaking of snow yes it will be snowing yeah there it is the snowier snow

Block called powder snow kind of trap block it looks similar like a quicksand right if you or a mob walk on it you will fall right through now let’s talk about cool can you show it no you have three all right awesome we know what happens here you’ve been really looking

Right like filling out the caves even more yeah back to caves even more things to show because you did say there was a lot it’s a lot about like improving the journey and one of them or crystals want to add like new things to find like new resources

Okay one of them crystals crystals what do you mean in the caves Oh oh okay amethyst geodes okay and can we collect that block too i mean i assume we can they make they sing yo i wonder if like if you play some certain ways they play different music or whatever like you can have music around your base without having to build

A whole redstone thing really did they make noise so beautiful yes that the moment you turn the corner and you see that glowing thing that’s so it’s just it’s incredible oh man i want to play minecraft right now i want to play this minecraft um yeah they’re so pretty and we were

Thinking a lot about like what is the purpose for crystals in minecraft yes one thing good question they should have a use and we will talk more about one of the usages soon okay the other thing is a lot about just adding a lot to the experience of exploring

And we want them to be quite rare so when you find them it’s really going to be like really rare it’s beautiful and you know when you walk on on the crystals you hear these sounds the killer of underground of marvel i feel they’re just the perfect feature for that

That’s cool but you can’t just take them with you what right what do you mean you can we create the christopher plant we saw in the video but they actually grow from a very special block okay and this block is unobtainable it’s it’s sort of like what do you think about uh spawners

Right you cannot know your base it it makes you go and build farms all around your world and that also encourages you to create tunnels between them and and find out ways of transferring those items from place to place and i just love those sort of features that

Really increase i want to take it home in the game somebody’s going to figure it out yourself i’m very excited obviously there’s creative all of these come on mentioned a usefulness to them oh yeah yes so from those crystal plants okay from the crystal shards items

Okay and you can actually use them to craft the telescope okay okay cool okay all right let’s see oh so wait it’s like worse optifine like it’s without defined you just press ctrl you get the whole screen zoomed in like that and on this you just get like

Not even a circle you because there’s no circles of minecraft we get an oval um yeah i’d rather have the blocks and like put them around my house and make music then a telescope like a bad optifine so yes you use the crystal shards to craft them but you also need something more

And that’s also a new thing that we added which is wow she looks nervous a new ore copper from every mod craft everyone this is like the low tier uh like oh okay all right i mean i can kind of see a metallic shine i think i think with

Shaders it would be really cool that’s amazing lydia’s like what okay so i think i got inspired by the pre copper roofs in stockholm and they are all green because we have so many yeah i mean that’s what happens and we’ve actually added that mechanic to minecraft as well

So you know if you place a copper block it will first be orange okay but after a while a pretty long time it will turn green and it’s something i think it’s so cool because it actually adds history to minecraft because for example if you have a really old minecart

Minecraft world i do you can see on like a house and like oh the roof turned all green and then you know that house it’s been there i built that like eight years ago i wish i could oh that’s cool i like that i like it how it’s like spotted and

Stuff that’s great it kind of looks like a virus spreading Oh wait it turns to prismarine i mean kinda to help the players with that we are introducing the lightning rod yo i needed this in my hardcore series this would have saved mooncake’s life if i put a lightning rod near where mood cake was during the thunderstorm i would never have lost

Helpful and it’s the bundles okay let’s see all right is it one is it a pouch yeah it’s a pouch okay thank you sir um all right so you take what 32 so you put so it holds look i mean i guess like that holds it i mean it’s cool looks cool

I like how bundles yeah that’s cool i like that actually i think until i saw those sketches by the art team i didn’t really understand what archaeology and minecraft even means archaeology and ideology yes so we’re actually adding a new system called the archaeology system what uh in this system

You’re basically going to find these excavation sites all throughout your world make this new tool called the brush that is going to help you what’s the brush the mysteries of the blue oh this is cool so this is naturally generated like this a living quarters questions ancient structures and you can sort of

Use the gravity to clear away some of the rubble that may have collapsed in those uh structures and sometimes you might even find something shiny inside them but like a sword and this is important if you are not careful enough yeah like in real life you can destroy that artifact

Oh a diamond block baby oh all right dude what is this if you take your time you get it and you’re deliberate what even you can what was that some of those blue ceramic and for example here we got a ceramic shard which is basically how whoever lived here used to tell

And pass on their stories okay that’s great but i would have preferred the uh the diamond block are you kidding me oh sorry sides of the archaeology because we we often talk about that we want to what do you do with these minecraft ceramic sharks when you find these hidden artifacts you

Kind of find like oh and it works on and hints dirt blocks this is going to take ages story yes that someone built for this where he can compare all the different clues he finds and then try to preserve whatever was down here uh and he can uh compare what he’s

What we found with whatever uh a new thing and sort of try to connect the pieces exactly and when you’re you’re pleased with your creation you can fire them up and you have your own um so it’s like putting them in a kill okay is this programmer art still

Actually i don’t i’ve never heard of such a thing that is an axolotl oh that oh i see it swimming almost like a tadpole they don’t look like predators there’s a pink one there’s a brown one there wait what it oh you’re gonna catch it like item.minecraft axolotl bucket

All right so you can catch them like this there’s only one sound i can make after seeing that which is like i don’t know about that yeah so the x models as you saw in the in the video they live in the lush caves and they live in the lush caves

Okay so they only come in there’s also a bucket of axolotl yes albino oh the pink ones are albino ones what does it mean why would you oh look at it in the bucket it’s so cute okay whoa wait oh so there whoa what just happened

Wait a second yo oh wait did he kill one i don’t know dude wait is he killing them or are they kill i mean i i know that they’re attacking him now i see why you’re calling them the cutest predator so they are friends to us and predators

To others when you scoop them up you can actually create your own uh exoludo army yes an axolotl army dude with them and they will help you fight various uh well they’ll attack guarded fish as well but they’ll help you fight that they can fish from the guardians

And they’re actually quite useful when fighting guardians because these they draw its attention that whenever they take damage they sort of play dead oh yeah i saw them do that will actually attack attack them so they have this time to regen back help and then jump back into the fight together with you

So they’ll never die right because they don’t they don’t attack anymore they play dead like whereas like your dog is fighting skeletons it just keeps going and going and going until well until they can’t anymore you go you get 15 minutes there there we go very cute a scale of cuteness axolotl

Goats in the middle and cute and terrifying the warded nice nice all right i think that’s pretty much it i mean oh i guess i could have just could have just gone to right oh dude the music’s good too hold on i could have just done this i didn’t

Have to sit through all this i spent like two hours There we go so that is the upcoming update um i don’t know if they are going to tell when we should probably wait for that but yeah this is the the the caves and cliffs update yeah when are we going to get the the caves and the cliffs yeah come on

We’re all a good question well like i don’t know three three weeks ago entered fall of 2020 so that’s a while a but but there will be veda versions before that so i think what they mean is that’s when it’s going to be released but we should be seeing snapshots before

That i would say um maybe by christmas time or january we’d start seeing snapchat so we can actually play some of this but full release obviously not until summer of 2021 hopefully the beginning and not the end but guys that is it i just sat through two hours

And 15 minutes and 22 seconds of a stream um afterward but uh anyway i’m excited about quite a few things mostly the goats i if you can ride them if you can’t just watch them jump i mean oh man you need to be so annoying too
