Hey guys, I never cover data packs on my channel, but I thought I’d give it a try. I searched through Planet Minecraft and CurseForge, looking for some of the most interesting data packs that were released over the past few weeks. I’ve tested all the ones I’m about to Showcase on the latest version of Minecraft, but I’m sure lots work on the likes of 1.16 too, and you can find the links to all of these packs in the description below. Our first Data Pack adds the Infinity Gauntlet from the MCU. To craft it, you’ll need to Throw a Netherite Ingot, Copper Ingot, Redstone Dust, Lapis, Amethyst Shard, Emerald and Gold Ingot on the ground. By using different slots on your hotbar, you can switch between the different stones, with each one doing something different. The Space Stone will allow you To create Portals to teleport between. The Power Stone is extremely strong, and will fire an explosive laser where you’re aiming. And the Time Stone can freeze time. You’ll now be able to craft the Portal Gun from Rick & Morty, which costs an Enchanted Golden Apple, 4 End Stone and 4 Netherrack. For the Portal Gun to work, you’ll also need Portal Fluid, which can be crafted from Slime and Redstone. With it in your inventory, you can hold down the right mouse button to open a Portal, and it will teleport you to A random selection of around 30 dimensions. These are typically made up of all different blocks, and you can get lucky too, as some are filled with resources like Ores. Strider’s Redux 2 adds lots of new biomes to your world, while making improvements to The Vanilla ones too. With this data pack enabled in your world, you should be able to find new Jungles, Mountains, Valleys and more. It’s also compatible with the Terralith mod, which I’ve mentioned in one of my recent Fabric videos. The generation is massively Different, and it should be difficult for you to get bored exploring. With this Data Pack, you’ll be able to own a Drone, which you can receive from a Book after entering a function code. It’s quite difficult to control, as you don’t mount It or get a drone view, instead you press the buttons that are displayed in the chat. It has some special features, like being able to shoot at enemies, connect to entities or cause an explosion, so there’s definitely some situations where I could see this being useful. Overgrown Citadel adds a huge dungeon into the Overworld, which you’ll find below the surface. The easiest way to find it would be by using a map which has a chance of spawning inside the Chest of a Cartographer Villager. The Dungeon itself is massive, and should Take you a while to explore, as each room has lots of detail, with there being over 40 in total, and you’ll often come across loot and hostile mobs. Lake’s Iron Man Data Pack adds some of Iron Man’s armor, including the Hulk Buster set. The recipes are quite complicated, but you’ll mostly be upgrading Iron equipment, and you can view the recipes on the Planet Minecraft page. When you’re wearing it, you can hover over the middle hotbar slot in order to fly, and hold down shift to move fast, and you Can right click to use the Repulsors. Using upgrades, you can add more features to the armor, like being able to self-destruct, scan for players or summon a Nano Shield and Sword. The first change added by Ocean Additions is Lobsters, which come in 3 different colors. When killed, they’ll drop Lobster Meat and Lobster Shells, but they also malt every 20 minutes when alive, dropping their Shell. Using 3 Prismarine Shards, 5 Copper Ingots and a Heart of the Sea, you can craft an Ocean Core. When you right click the ground with The Core, you’ll summon the Ocean King, a boss that has some cool animations and sounds. It’s a fun fight, as it also has a custom boss bar and the weather quickly changes. If you can kill the Ocean King, you’ll receive a lot of experience, as well as pieces of The Ocean King set, which has increased stats when worn underwater. Or you can get the King’s Claw, an item that fires projectiles dealing huge knockback. Level Up introduces an RPG-like system into Minecraft. On your screen above your hotbar, You’ll see your current level, and the amount of experience you have. Each time you level up, you’ll gain half a heart of health, and 1 bonus attack damage every 5 levels. All the creatures in your world, whether they’re hostile or aggressive will also have levels, Which determines their health and attack damage. So you’ll have to consider whether you should attack something that’s a lot stronger than you are. The Stardew Valley Datapack is huge, adding over 500 items from the game. To start, you Should look for Wandering Traders, as they now have a chance to spawn as Seed Traders, giving you access to all the new crops. The crops that you farm can be turned into all sorts of foods from Stardew Valley, like Pancakes and Soups. There’s so much included with The pack, and the developer seems adamant on keeping it updated, and has also put together a Wikipedia to help you get started. More Dungeons generates 7 new dungeons in your world. These are the Pillager Tower, Supply Fortress, the Pit, the Shrine, Skeleton Dungeon, Temple and Dark Tower. The most common Enemy you’ll find at these locations will be Pillagers, but if you can beat them, then you’ll find lots of useful loot. Realistic Item Drops will change how dropped items appear. Instead of hovering, they’ll rest in the ground properly, which looks a lot better. But there’s also a flat setting, Which causes items to rest in the ground, and there’s an option to stop items from despawning. This next pack will allow you to ride the Ender Dragon through the sky, which you can do by throwing a Dragon Egg onto the ground. When you do so, a Saddle will spawn which You can mount, and you’ll be given an item which looks like a Fishing Rod. When you hold the rod and right click, the Ender Dragon will spawn beneath you, and you can control it by pointing the Fishing Rod in different directions, like when you ride a Pig. Right Click the Rod again to de-spawn the Dragon. Smithery adds new combat related content, and to get started, you should craft the instruction manual with a regular Book and Iron Ingots. It contains all the recipes for the new items, which includes Maces, Lances, Muskets and Hatchets. You’ll now also be able to craft Chainmail Armor too, which costs Iron Nuggets and Ingots, making it cheaper than Iron Armor. Your Diamond and Netherite Swords can now be upgraded, giving them effects like Withering, Poison, makes it ignore armor or even give more experience. Bubble Vehicles will add Vehicles into Minecraft, and what’s great about this one is that It doesn’t require any resource packs to work. You can start buying vehicles from the Vehicle Trader, who can be created using a name tag. You can find vehicles like Bikes, Tanks, Cars and Helicopters, with some being able to hold multiple passengers. Some vehicles Have special interactions, like the Tank which can fire projectiles, and if you sneak and right click a vehicle, you can scrap, refuel and paint them. Ultris adds 8 new bosses, which can be summoned in survival, or using functions. These bosses include the Corrupted Enderman, Blaze King, Ultra Wither, Sanctum Keeper, Phantom Swarm, Giant and Shulker Stone. They can be found across all 3 dimensions, with the data pack also generating some structures for you to search, like the Sanctum, which is a huge structure that houses the Sanctum Keeper. Overhauled Villages makes huge changes to Villages, but only ones in the Plains Biomes Right now, as it’s still a very fresh pack. But the developer has lots of plans, hoping to add over 30 different Village and Pillager Outpost types soon. As you can see, the size of Villages has been increased, so they look more like towns, with all new building types. Whereas at Pillager Outposts, they look more like Campsites, with them having caged Ravagers, defensive walls and tents. The Chug Jug is a new item which can be crafted from 6 Planks, 2 Iron Ingots and a block of Glass. By selecting Potions in your inventory, you can place them into the Chug Jug, either One at a time, or all at once by placing it in your off-hand slot. The Potions inside will be converted into uses, so that you can consume them multiple times, and when you do, you’ll receive each effect at once. If you look up while drinking from the Chug Jug, then it will fully drain the jug, combining the durations. Llama Locomotion gives you a new way to transport Villagers in your world. By taming a Llama and giving it a Carpet, any nearby Villagers will hop on. Attach a lead to the Llama, and You can control its movement with the Villager. When you want the Villager to get off the Llama, just attach it to a block. Funky Flora changes a lot of your biomes, with the biggest changes coming to trees. They should look less boring, with them being some new sizes and shapes. But you’ll also Find more flowers, grass and other fungi spread throughout locations where you usually wouldn’t find them. I’ve talked about Terralith in its mod form, but you can also download it as a data pack. It completely overhauls your world generation, adding lots of new biomes, while also changing All the existing ones. Your world should be unrecognizable, as it’s going to be extremely different to vanilla, with all new mountains, forests and meadows. You’ll find lots of changes below the surface too, as the pack changes Caves to be much larger. Some of these Biomes have a fantasy theme to them too, as shown in my RPG video. That’s the end of our data pack video. I might cover another one of these next month, but if you want to check out some mods or resource packs instead, feel free to check Out my channel, as we’ve covered a lot so far. Video Information

Hey guys, for the first time on my channel, we’re going to look at some datapacks released over the past month for Minecraft! I looked at PlanetMinecraft over CurseForge, as they have alot more submissions. I tested all these on Minecraft 1.17.1, but it’s probable that they’ll also work on Minecraft 1.16.5, if you’re still on that version!
