Hello everyone recently i was exploring some seeds in minecraft 1.14 and i stumbled upon this beautiful plains village that is tucked into this little dark oak forest i thought this was such an inspirational area to work so i decided to go ahead and do a transformation on it this is my process And i hope you enjoy it let’s start over here with this small house i wanted to turn this into a larger house because in this area we’ve got quite a lot of those little kind of three by three houses and they don’t have much interior space with it only Being three by three so i thought i would give it a thicker foundation and a much higher roof so that there’s more interior space to work with and it makes it a little bit more fancy since this house had so much room i also decided to give it a little Storage shed and a beetroot garden off to the side this really helps to decorate this area make it look like a more important house i also gave it a chimney to add to that cozy feel now we’re going to be focusing on the center one of the things that really Drew me to this village overall was that it had a tree as its centerpiece and if you know me you know i love building a good custom treat so i decided to thicken the foundation of it and build a beautiful big custom oak tree up around it I think this accents the center so much better honestly even a default vanilla big oak tree would have been better than that tinier one now off to the side we have a big two-story house i wanted to keep the mean shape of this i just added A little porch off to the side with a stairway going up so that instead of accessing into the basement you access the second floor and some windows and a chimney and we’re off to work on the church the church was super challenging for me i’m not that great at building Churches and i didn’t want to do something too extreme to it i wanted to make it a little bit taller so that it fit in with the new houses i was adding but i didn’t want to do anything too crazy or too detailed i wanted to keep it with That fairly simple look so i just extended the tower a little bit and made it a bit longer so that we had more interior space to work with a couple little extra details and the church is complete and we can move on to this building over here so this building was Originally where our fletcher was and i wanted to keep with the main shape that it had i just extended up that taller front area and added out that market stall look in front with these two houses that were in front of the church they were kind of taking Up a lot of space and not doing much being tiny houses so i transformed one of them into a well which i think suits well since it’s near the center and then the other one i turned into a very simple little house you’ll notice this one i didn’t do a thick foundation some Of them have foundations some of them don’t and i wanted to vary that a little bit so they’re not all of these massive houses then right next to the church we have what is probably the pastor’s house or somebody who takes care of the church grounds may live here so i wanted to Give them a little bit better of a house but i kept it fairly simple still just going with a simple foundation and a square building the only thing i varied was the roof making it just a little bit more fancy to stand out now coming over here where we have two Of these once again very small houses i decided since these don’t have very much interior space anyways i would combine them and make them into one house that still sort of looks like it’s in two sections and because this house had flower pots out front i wanted to go With this theme and make it nice and green like maybe that’s a forager’s house then up in the higher part of our village in the center we have a place that had a smithing table on the inside and since this village didn’t spawn with a blacksmith i thought it would be Perfect to add a blacksmith’s house right here so i went with a brick chimney out in front a little overhang and another very simple structure this one doesn’t have a super thick foundation but it does the trick then with a little bit of adjusting of the terrain and paths and another little Potato field we’re ready to move on to the next structure by the way if you’re wondering where my villagers are throughout this they somehow all got themselves trapped in here i i don’t understand they’re they’re a bit dumb but that’s okay i’m gonna keep transforming their village anyways let’s Move on to these last two houses which are right up at the top of this village i decided finally to keep this one fairly small and then the one next to it since it has such a good overview of our entire village i wanted to almost give It more of a town hall type feel or maybe it’s just the mayor’s house something that’s slightly more important and so to accent that i decided to go with sort of a clock face look on the front there so that everyone in the village can tell the time now i’m just Going to be going along adding lanterns fixing up the paths adding some flower gardens etc just sprucing things up around the village quite a bit and finally you’ll notice as we go around the village it had a lot of hay bales spawning but not not a lot of hay growing So i decided off to in this plane’s biome off to the side that i would build a big beautiful windmill and then behind it i did three big fields of wheat to help maybe make a little bit more sense as to where they’re getting all of this hay Trucked in from i think it adds a nice little decoration to the outside of the village and a little bit more lore and with that complete that is all for our time lapse let’s go get a closer look in person shall we alright so this Is kind of cool now we are in game with shaders on with my lovely little villager friends here hello everyone sorry i did dumb earlier it’s just you just get stuck in some weird spots and you make it a little awkward to build but i forgive you and you’re really cute Are you guys taking over this lovely wool shop here okay well let’s start here i guess so this was the only building that i didn’t get in time lapse uh just i forgot to hit record my bad but if we come in here we’ve just got a simple little area with Some loom set up and a divide right here so that you can sleep a little bit more separated from where you can work and if we just pop out here and out sheep why does everybody want to go in this hole what the heck okay and this is a little pen for our Sheep before they were just sort of trapped in this little tiny area and it seemed a bit cruel so i set them up a water area in the shade here and some hay and just a bigger area to roam oh excuse you okay let’s continue on the path here Gosh shaders just make everything so fun to look at so i wanted to take you through here because i have done a couple of the interiors for example this one here with a small chimney going up through the center and a little campfire inside the place to do some cooking and A smoker and a yummy cake to eat not a whole lot of room in any of these interiors this one probably could have had a second floor if i wanted but there’s so many windows i felt like it would have been a little bit awkward i could have probably put a Slab right across this layer if i wanted to and then a ladder right here and then had a sleeping quarter up here but the villagers aren’t super good with ladders anyways so i think it’s fine the way that it is it’ll function perfectly well for this beet farmer one building that I’m super excited to show you in the game is this church i’m so proud of how this turned out and i ended up doing the interior which i think helps a lot especially as you’re looking through these sort of stained glass windows just so much more realistic and i imagine at Night time these windows would glow even more which would make it just so so beautiful so let’s come on inside we’re in this big entrance area at first got a little storage area some flower pots and a brewing stand then i’ve just sort of been able to make this a lot longer so Now that we have an area for the priest or minister or whomever to stand up here and he or she can preach to the audience which i’ve now got some chairs for people to sit on which isn’t in the default church which is a little interesting but anyways there’s some Room for that and i made it a little bit fancier by throwing in some glazed terracotta i want to see how the farm looks with shaders real fast i didn’t do a whole lot extra out here but i just love walking through a good farm it’s so relaxing look at this Fields and fields of wheat swaying in the wind this is just so calming i love it all right let’s walk back inside our village just slowly stroll along look at the town hall up there so lovely one of my favorite spots i think in game is actually this spot right here just Directly under this tree with the lantern path i really like what i’ve done with this path so before it was a little bit more confusing but now we can go straight up this way to get to the higher parts of the village or we can simply turn this way and this path just Leads us to the blacksmith and of course this simple little potato farm right here just is so lovely and peaceful i can imagine a villager working here for sure is anybody home nobody’s home today so this is where the smithing table was originally and i’ve just added a little Bed and some beams going across the top just a simple little workstation for our blacksmith and i love the way that the smoke looks like it’s rising all the way through the blocks up to the top campfires are so fun let’s head back down now i want to show You this house down here i really enjoyed making this one i like the way that it sits on the foundation because this was originally two houses and i’ve gone ahead and added lots of flowers around this one which i think definitely helps it out quite a lot oh sheep So if we enter in through here i’ve just got a simple little work area in here i wanted to add a cartography table a little furnace and then we can come up here we’ve got these lovely two little beds we’ve got very very high ceilings In here once again i could have done a second floor in here but villagers are simple creatures so i decided against it in the end but i like the way that i did kind of shelving here with the chest they’ve got lots of room to store stuff and i think it’ll be perfectly Functional for the villagers needs oh i almost forgot let’s head over here by this fletcher’s house i love the way that this one turned out especially since i kept that original vanilla sort of balcony area that it had here uh i’m not sure exactly what to call that but It had sort of a wall entrance area right here and i’ve kind of just added a little bit more variation and shape to that but still kept it then we can enter in through here and we’ve still got our lovely fletching tables right here with Some arrows and a bow and then a little target and then of course this is more of a workspace but we can head whoops we could head up the stairs right here and now we’ve got a lovely place for our fletcher to eat some of his dinner or Maybe sleep in their beds depending on who lives here i’m really excited about this space doing the interior really makes it come to life all right everyone i think with all of that said that’s about all that i have to show you today for my village i hope You were able to gain some inspiration from this and enjoyed seeing my tour and process of building this little plains village minecraft 1.14 has been so fun and inspiring to build in i hope you’re enjoying it as much as i am and i hope to see you in the next video Bye bye everyone Video Information

Today I am upgrading this simple minecraft village! I add custom trees, a farm, a windmill, and fix up all the existing structures. The villager’s don’t seem to care about my changes, but I am hoping some of you will enjoy them! Thanks for watching.
