TubeAndKnuckle – Automating Sky Stone Catalyst – Create Arcane Engineering Ep 10

If you’re playing this mob pack create Arcane engineering one of the challenges that you face throughout the playthrough is you have to figure out a way a solution how to automate these catalysts throughout the world this is the skystone Catalyst you feed it Redstone and skystone blocks grow around it

Now you have to break them bring them back to your base or process them here however you choose to do it but one of the solutions that’s being shared as the easiest solution which I think is kind of I don’t want to call it cheesy but to me

It’s like if you’ve been paying attention to my playthrough I kind of OD on Minecraft like right now there’s a cat going around on a train placing blocks under these tracks just because I didn’t like the way it looked and I wouldn’t don’t think I like the way the mechanic

Of putting a Contraption in here solidifying it the blocks break and then when you pull it out of there you can collect the blocks that to me seems kind of cheesy so I’m going to try this the way I think it should be done with drills we’ll get something rocking if it takes

10 years to break these blocks with a drill then maybe we go cheesy but we got to at least science this right you know half stuff in here a cat on a train playing blocks and blow whistles let me take this thing apart and then we’re gonna build

A Contraption of sorts I’m gonna use a Minecart Minecart Contraption I got the rails powered rails keep it moving drills to break the blocks hopefully a couple chests on the back here a deployer and I put Redstone into deployer’s hand and hopefully when this thing rides by there punches the Catalyst and skystone

Grows let me fire this thing up this is a cart assembler you put a mine car in there if you’ve never built one of these real quick you put a minecart in there you build your Contraption and then you have to Super Glue everything in your Contraption together

And when you put a lever on here and you flick the lever on that engages your whole Contraption so now this mine cart will power all them drills and hopefully they break skystone we just gotta give it a little push to get it started And it didn’t do anything with the Catalyst there it goes that’s just gonna sit there for a month and unload all the Redstone if this takes 10 years to bring a block there’s no way right I mean if it goes around one rotation and unload skystone over here by the

Time the train goes to the home base unloads and comes back to pick up more is that gonna be enough time I had to time this train I think and time this one rotation around 13 minutes and five seconds if my offload spot is here

That’s my timing that I did I set up a little block here because if I did an offload how much did I even get I mean that’s not a bad amount for one rotation right and every 13 minutes that’ll get dropped off at home base and be processed into more redstone

I have to see how long it takes to burn through that all right I think we’re golden honestly this thing I put skystone in there and due to my little notepad here 13 minutes right put a rotation gives you 12 stacks of skystone that’s 768 pieces of dust this thing doesn’t go

Through that in 15 minutes by any means and unless we end up making four of these Contraptions to make redstone I think that’s plenty of skystone coming too and from skystone to here now I just gotta get this guy what did we name them water you better hurry up and finish Paving

So we can set up a new train to deliver skystone from there to here we go while we wait on water I think we can set up an offload and we need an on load because the new train is going to bring Redstone from home base to here

And that’s going to feed this deployer so it can keep this thing rocking and we need I need to let this go around and then turn it off with that lever and then we can add some parts and pieces onto here we need a loader and an unloader

And we need to put skystone somewhere up here so that when a new train comes it can load the skystone on there and offloader for the Redstone to here yes unless I’m missing something and we need skystone for other things other than like the applied energistic stuff that we’ll get to later on

I think this is going to be sufficient honestly I get why people are going the other way it is awfully slow at breaking skystone and I don’t know if there’s something that the developers can do to to code this block differently so that it breaks it quicker but I would

Imagine at the other Catalyst this is also going to work I went a lot faster with speed because skystone typically is a tough material to break let’s pick this guy up you don’t want to do it like that though perfect nailed it you gotta have lever on

And then you can click that with a wrench now I want to move this over to here because I want to have the offload and on load somewhere in this vicinity so if we go put that except I want this to face the opposite way we want it to go that away

The arrow on the top because that’s the direction that this is going to move and then we take this Minecart toss it in there and we get our Contraption back right and the blocks that it broke and here’s the other thing I put a stack of

Redstone in there when I started this to begin with I’ve already pulled out that first amount this is what it’s got now and I got 29 pieces of redstone back from it so we don’t need to bring an exuberant amount of redstone over here to run this I think

If I could set up the train at home let’s say every half hour it brings a stack of redstone over on every second trip I’ll set the train up so 15 minute intervals it’ll come here to pick up skystone and on the second trip it’ll bring a stack of

Redstone I think that’s possible enough talking let’s get the building and not hurting myself for dying all right the first thing that we gotta do I think I thought this through and it’s gonna work correctly is we need to put a filter of redstone in this deployer so that whenever these chests

Have Redstone in them that deployer will pull it into its hand while this thing is running right yes and then we need to take some of these guys portable storage interface and I’m gonna put one right there I should probably do this with glue in my hand actually it’d be a lot easier

Take that off we’re gonna put one right there and I also want to add one up higher and the reason I’m doing two is because that one is going to feed Redstone into the machine and this one that I’m putting up here is going to pull probably Redstone and

Skystone out of the machine so we need to set up a loop that’s all glued on there that’s all we need on the contraption now we just need to figure out how we’re going to offload right so we’re going to put this can have a two block space for these to interact

We’re going to put this guy right there and then when the contraption Drives By it’ll offload whatever’s in the storage into this one it knows to do that because below here we’re gonna put an inventory collection system we need I hope I have the stuff on me I do we need a shoot

We’re gonna put a shoot under this guy and we also need a storage controller we’re going to put a storage controller here so anything that comes off the contraption will go into this storage controller and then we’re going to take a linking tool we’re gonna link this to the controller

Now if we go down here to the Redstone loading level we come up we still want that two block space right and we’re going to take another portable storage interface this guy is going to go right there and above here we’re gonna put a box with redstone I didn’t leave enough room Okay buddy and we’re putting this one right onto that chest and it wants to spin facing us and then we’re gonna do the two block Gap like we spoke about and we’re gonna put another portable storage interface right there and that’s going to face this one and where this Drives By it’s

Going to interact remember that whole conversation we had it’s going to do that we’re gonna do that and then I’m going to take a drawer right here first try and we’re gonna put Redstone in this Shelby and then we’re gonna link this drawer to that controller and the last thing that

We need is a drawer for the sky Stone and in order to set that up properly I would need the train that we’re gonna build later once water gets done with the paving he’s certainly taking a sweet old time with that let me tell you this one’s

Gonna have Sky Stone boom let me grab a key we’re going to lock this drawer we’re going to lock that drawer we’re gonna link this drawer eventually this drawer will be up there somewhere loading the new train and I want to say that’s it correct

Geez fire this thing up see if she works all right it’s loading Redstone onto the contraption right we can send it on its merry way we can send it on its merry way we can send it on its merry way that’s just gonna hard lock it right there

I’ve created myself a problem but I think I have a solution to this What I’ve Done by setting this up this way is this deployer has an inventory it can hold 64 of whatever you put in the filter right but the problem with how I set this up

Is if I put a stack of redstone in there it constantly feeds it into this contraption and then unloads it feeds it unloads it so I created a loop and it hard locks this machine at this exact spot you’ll never move it from here

Right so what we need to do is I could still unload Redstone here because the machine is going to travel that way and around so by the time it makes it all the way around and to here it’s going to unload Redstone and skystone here that’s just the way this

Is going to work but what I need to do is instead of reloading Redstone here at this area I need to move it over a couple blocks so it can offload whatever Redstone is in there and we’ll limit that to one stack but then I need to reload it once it

Goes like a couple blocks and then we can still have the offload set up the same way with the storage controller it’ll put the sky Stone in this drawer up there I just need to relocate this guy makes sense I think it does I was a little baffled at first but that’s

What’s going on right here so the simplest solution is we’re going to take this box and we’re going to move it over a couple blocks give it some room to breathe take this guy down we’re gonna put you right on top of here that should have

Redstone in it Redstone and now we need to re-link this guy to that controller so now the Redstone that comes out is going to be fed to the box right here and we’re gonna offload the Redstone out of here we gotta come down two blocks we want it

To line up with this guy and then we’re gonna put a portable storage interface right there so now I think this is gonna work I’m pretty sure it’s gonna work now let’s put some Redstone in here that can have all that Redstone and it’ll run fine it should because by the

Time it makes it that two block Gap after breaking skystone it’ll refill Redstone and now we can actually push this machine and get it started right I need to be able to push the mine cart we need to do this you go there give me my Redstone back this is going great

Except it doesn’t have any Redstone in there why did I not put all the Redstone back in there I think I did I linked these you’re all Linked UP okay it is growing Sky Stone it does have redstone I think we’re cooking now I’m pretty sure these are the blocks that I broke
