Utopia³ Resurrection : S04 E19 – Thaumcraft Alchemy Golem

Now then welcome back to utopia cubed the resurrection mod pack from the feed the beast launcher yes we’re back and i’m back over at nemgo village there’s no sign of ego he’s got other things on his mind are the priorities so i’ve just basically moved back in

And started taking over all over again it’s all mine again it’s all mine again i tell you um one of the other reasons i’ve moved back over here is because i’ve developed the applied energistic system back at the tanker almost as much as i can possibly manage right now so i’ve decided

That i’ve got to wait a little while for things to uh improve over there and not improve as in there’s something bad but just as in uh i can’t i can’t move any further until akko’s done his thing and when akko’s done his thing then i can do some more of my thing

And yeah i don’t know what i’m doing here i need i need to do this first i’m doing a bit of them craft i’m trying to set up a golem um a golem that does alchemy an alchemy golem and for that i require an alchemy core an alchemy core and

That is like this look at this give me give me give me open up oh the little bit of client lag there we go right so you can put your core in there like that right i just bought that from the villager the ignis but i could have i could have

Made the bit of night or myself but i bought it from the villager instead and you then can just enchant it as it were and turn it into something using this alchemical process and i wanted the gollum animation chord decanting okay so i did that made a decanting core

Right that’s why i’ve got my aqua and my vacuous here i’m i’m trying to keep these uh situated that’s the idea now i’m trying to get myself set up so that i’ve got all of my thorncraft stuff right where i need it when i need it

So down here i’m starting to set up a little stockpile of things that i want the golem to come and sort out for me decant for me so that is what i’m doing and the the golem decanting thing that i’m after and i’ve never made this before but i’ve seen many other

People make it is this golem core alchemy this core is a specialized version of a decanting core specifically designed to transport ascentia alchemy golems assigned to an alchemical furnace or alembic it will or golems aside to an alchemical furnace or alembic it will draw essentia from the entire stack of alembics

And transport it to marked warded jars it is not required to mark every single jar the golem will automatically fill all jars adjacent to the marked jar and all other similarly connected jars alchemy golems prioritize near jars first and we’ll try and fill an entire jar before starting a new one

Okay okay so i needed this golem animation core decanting i need a warded jar and three water bottles and some stuff in the infusion so we’ve got that the golem animation and now i need to upgrade it so i’m going to put that onto here out the way let’s put it

On there ready for enchanting now i need three bottles of water which i expect i will find around here i’ve done a little bit of tidying up around the place as you can see this place has been ripped out i’ve taken almost everything stock wise and put it in and applied a

Logistics system in the warehouse this is just to make my life a little bit more simple and i’ve hidden away everything that i need in here are two bottles come on give me a break um well yeah i’ve i’ve got my applied energistic system downstairs as you know and hidden behind

These panels here up the side here and all the way up through the wall using the cable facades i’ve hidden the cables to send it all the way through the few floors uh i had to install a controller down here but basically it’s still the same danny i’m not using this

A lot for applied energy sticks but it’s a little a little applied energistics lab just a little one just out the way just to keep me um sorting out the nemgo village with applied energy sticks oh potion of healing oh now i’ve got an empty glass bottle oh look oh what a shot

That’s how it works that’s how you do it that’s how i do things in them go if i need it i find a way to get it okay three water bottles job done so three water bottles and a wooded jar that’s what i need so you’re supposed to

Try and set these up as close to being uh some sort of symmetry as possible so i’ll put that one there and this one over on there uh yeah and then a warded jar i’ve got loads of these at the minute i made a load of water jars and labels before the

Episode to try and sort of figure out what i was doing so that in theory should be that okay so three warded jars no one water jar and three water bottles now i’ve got precamtasia motus and aqua 15 of each with an instability miner now i’ve got those

Already down here and i want to see if this uh infusion will draw from the aqua that i’ve got here the pre-camtasia that i’ve got here and the motors where did i put the motors and i had motors somewhere where did i put it where did i put it

I didn’t put the motors over there maybe the motors still appear good job i checked first innit um oh no wait a minute wait a minute i need some more trapdoors to make some more motors that’s right oh and it’s raining out i’m not going over there

Let’s do it over here instead uh what have i got what have i got that is wood like uh there we go let’s get uh well 24 why not i know this is a a very uh un efficient method of getting trapdoors and all that but i’m in a

Bit of a rush i’m in a bit of a rush and there’s the motors i’ve got three at the moment that’s it 64 of that and nothing in those okay so let’s melt down those trapdoors and we should get more arbor because it’s wood and plenty of motors as well because it’s

Got a motor action that’s all i know about it that’s what i know about it uh trapdoors to make motus is the best thing that i know of uh and i’ve lost all of my uh aspects well all of my aspect research as it were all the scanning that i did

I’ve lost it all come on there must be some more no i gotta make some more trapdoors hang on i’m gonna go and get some proper some proper wood and make some proper trapdoors and make a little bit of a stock of this because um well i’m not i don’t want

To have to keep running around all over the place every time i want something i want to try and get a stockpile going of stuff in there let’s see if i’ve got any trapdoors in here already one well that’s better than none i suppose and a wood i just basically threw everything we’ve

Got into the ae system over here um there’s a load of stuff that i took over to the um tanker as well there’s loads of stuff i took over to the tanker come on give me give me give me give me gate i’ll do 35 that’s got to be more than enough

Surely i want to get a wireless setup on this ae system as well so i’ve got wireless connection to up here so i can do all this stuff as and when i feel like it um i used to be able to do wireless before in applied energistics one and

It’s still there and applied energistics too i just haven’t done it in applied energistics 2 yet so i’m not 100 sure exactly how it goes together but we’ll figure that out maybe maybe a bit later on this episode so that i can grab lots and lots of loot out of the applied

Energistic system and just literally put it straight into the alembic underneath the altar so that we can get it all sorted out quickly there we go right we’ve got enough now to perform the one go so i’m going to take this and i’m going to place it downstairs and see if this works

The way it is intended to i want to see if they’re in range around this room so we’ve got one over there one over there and one here so in theory with the thing right above us we should be okay okay let’s see get me one down and give it a tap

And then fly up and have a look around make sure that everything’s working there’s minor instability and i haven’t got any defense against instability at all at the minute i haven’t put candles all the way around the inside of the altar i haven’t put schools down

I know the things i’m supposed to do but i haven’t done that yet is this actually getting into it oh it’s got all the accenture that’s good now it’s taking all the parts yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and it’s done okay so it can get the accenture from

Underneath there which is very good i like i was kind of i was kind of sure that it would right so now i’ve got that golem animation core now we need to make a golem i think i’ll probably just go with a wooden golem it just requires a great wood

Log uh its strength is low but it doesn’t need to worry about that self-repair average carry limit four speed above average one upgrade so yeah i think that’ll do so i need humanists motus and spiritus four of each and i should have those around already let’s see how much motors have i got

Left i’ve got six so we’ll have that uh spiritus i’ve got six so of that and humanise that one eight as well that’s good okay so we take these whiz over here pop these down so that they can get to them and that one

There we go and then i just need a log uh one of these guys there we go that should be able to make myself a golem thorncraft is fairly simple when it comes down to it fairly simple there we go oh perfect that one what else could i make with that

I could make charcoal okay i could cook charcoal with a bit of that and that okay uh wooden golem okay spiritus for motus 4 and humanist 4. let’s check spiritus 6 motor 6 and humanist eight okay make me make me a wooden golem let’s see if wooden golems can do the

Job for me i may need to make one of these little vials as well turn that off and he’s away and there he goes the little dude and his animation core okay i think he probably needs a little vial uh i don’t oh yeah i’ve got glass vials on me

So that might work that might be okay i may need a golem’s bell as well but i don’t know about that so if i place him on there yes he’s now inanimate give him the animation core hello little man how you doing dude you doing okay

Good good good okay so let’s test him out um what can i test him out with um what does stone give me i don’t even know what cobblestone gives me look i’m that i’m that uh that this much disarray because all of my scanning went cobblestone gives me those two which is

Those two over there which are both full so i’m not going to do that is he um there’s a terror that’s half empty where did you go you popped right up there you are thank you give me give me give me okay let’s put that just there and let’s put

A piece of cobblestone in there and see what he does see if he does anything right so it’s in there that’s in there now we can’t do anything yet okay let’s get one of these vials out and let’s give it to him hello give me give me access to your

Inventory no no access to no inventories there okay then um okay i may need to make myself a golem bell then i guess maybe i throw this on the floor at him does that work can you pick it up dude can you pick that up no no you can’t okay

Okay right well i will pop up here and uh head on over and make myself a golemant’s bell which is another simple little thing um i’ve made them before i’ve had them rushing around before in previous versions of thorncraft but this version of thorncraft i’ve advanced very little

I could have done some last season i suppose let’s see sticks and there’s a stick there we go and the quartz is around the corner i’m gonna need four quarts and i think that is going to be made in a table uh arcane works bench yeah with five ordo

There we go and tapity give me that thank you all right so let’s see now oh give me that give me down here it’s not an easy access that’s for sure all right let’s put that on the shelf where it’s supposed to go just so it’s out of the way 64 32 yeah

Yeah yeah yeah and that arbor we’ll put that over there yeah that’s the only one and motus i’m gonna put that over there okay so go to mancy bell you do that yes and let’s pick one of these over there and these over there and this one over here and those ones over

There yeah you do that you do that for me okay maybe maybe this golem type isn’t so great after all maybe i can’t give him anything to carry maybe i need to carry he needs to carry something like one of these upgrades uh let’s have a have a look through what’s these

Flicks damage on anything uh pic specifies different colors allowing to travel further afield um the number of slots added depends on the base number of swaps usually possessed and more filtered or slotted specific golem cores might benefit okay and upgrade range and that one upgrade speed okay and the other upgrades are golomancy

Upgrades the animation cause okay so what do i give him what do i give him to make him pick stuff up okay i think i got the little dude sorted out now what i did wrong was i right clicked the alembic and i should have right clicked the furnace

With him so he should have been placed with the furnace as an inventory and then he’ll work the alembics so all i had to do yeah see all this all i had to do was zap him get back all the bits and pieces that i needed here we go

Uh 22 mark locations instead of putting him on there i have to put him on there and then he’s got access to all of the locations that i tell him to do and i think i can get rid of that one can i get rid of this

How do i get rid of one oh well it’s there so yeah he’s got all of these various locations marked up and he’s supposed to do things that are close by as well so let’s do a test of this let’s do a little test um i may as well spell

One of those up i was gonna make another golem to try another golem and then i thought hang on a minute hang on a minute maybe i just need to have him attached to this furnace instead of the alembic so i replaced him and now he seems to be able to do stuff

Look so now he’s finding finding things look uh unfortunately he’s finding that this is an empty bottle he needs an empty one because some things haven’t got warded jars yet yeah so he’s oh that’s metal that’s okay that’s good that’s a good one that’s fine i like that i needed that anyway

Okay so now the dude has cleaned up those few things that’s awesome okay uh well i don’t need i don’t need to keep testing him but i do need to fill all these things up i was thinking about making a warded jar with a void on it so that if

Anything is over the over the limit of what we actually need it will just get voided off so we’ll keep putting them everywhere he needs to put them uh so now he’s working he’s working fine and all i have to do now is fill this place up with jars of everything i need

Which will probably be something like um void jars as well the void jars are like the upgrade so obsidian warded jar and blaze powder with pedicio and aqua in an arcane workbench gives me void jars so i may just go and upgrade the last of these

Warded jars into void jars so that i can have ever full void jars instead of having all these spares that i keep getting i don’t want spares i just want it all to fill up nicely and back here i’ve got another area that i want to start developing

But i i’ve got ideas but i’ve not done it yet and i’m not doing it just yet so that’s it for this dude now i just need to carry on filling it all up and so it’s all ready uh but i’ve got something else planned for this episode so i won’t bore you

With just filling all this up and making him run around doing stuff all right inventory cleared um i just wanted to put away some stuff except for the emeralds i got the emeralds on me to test out the villager trading for thorncraft stuff now these viz stones

Are a little bit rubbish these ones that you can buy for 10. they only charge up 25. i’ve got one and it’s well i need to recharge it every now and again i’ve got an auto discount i didn’t know i’ve got these little rings kicking around as well and i don’t know what

They do for me really um what i’m thinking though is getting something along the lines of these sort of trades so that i can buy random things to start filling up all of those jars this guy has that same thing for seven which is better but to unlock the next trade along i

Need to unlock this and see what they’re getting there are a couple of hello dude there are another couple of dudes that are hanging around this is an english discount for six and this dude here is mana beans now the mana beans one i am intrigued about because it’s a random manna bean

Uh examine us okay do i have to try and catch it what did i get tuttman and pedicio okay so i could possibly trade this guy out to get mana beans and then grow the mana beans harvest the mana beans and use mana beans as a source of essentia

So i don’t have to mess around with all those sort of things it would be nice to be able to do that for quicksilver to unlock his next trade um i want to be able to trade this guy out completely every nanny four can i make these back into a full

Quicksilver yes i can awesome uh but only one more quicksilver okay so i can’t unlock him if i lock him so i’ll get what i can out of him and then leave him alone for a bit come on trade with me that’s the guy okay yeah i once i’ve

Traded as many as i can i won’t be able to get much more let’s see if we can catch a yellow one oh look at that unknown aspect spiritus okay it takes a little while for it to settle then i see okay that that they’ve all changed they’re all changing they’re they’re all

Changing this this is weird these are all changing as we speak spiritus yeah give me that give me their memos back you sure change me these are these are magic beans if i throw them on the ground am i gonna grow a beanstalk uh let’s let’s go with that one potentia

Oh now he’s now he’s stuck now he won’t let me get any more so that means that his trades are locked that first trade is now locked yet which means i’ve got to do that sick quick silver trade to get past that but i did get some mana beans out of it

Which saved me hunting around here for forests come on let me fly thank you we’ve got the village breeding going on again a little while now as a there’s a dude hey dude what you got rings of protection for nine probably not gonna bother but i might

Just unlock him later on and you you hey dude come here your bookshelves for knowledge fragments not a great no what do you do you do safari nets and things okay interesting hey hey stop crowding stop crowding stop crowding oh we got another b one a tree one oh that’s cool black

Cherry sapling i’m actually interested in getting all the tree saplings i might try and do that uh i did it for me3 not so long ago um but i might try and do it the villager no the b the b reading way the actual uh normal way you’re supposed to do it

Instead of grabbing a load of things and doing it gender street style the gender street in me3 was pretty epic and i’ve played around with it now i can say it’s done uh but i wouldn’t mind giving it another go because i’ve got to finish off this

Village and i would like to do some more building in different wood types having the vanilla wood types as the rooftops and all that kind of stuff is okay but i want to do a little bit more modded to it so we’ve got this one tree over here the sapling that we found

Which is limewood not exactly the most exotic of the forestry trees that i could think of but never mind these guys over here have been traded with a fair bit this butcher guy is one of my favorites he trades me emerald uh he trades me raw beef pork chops and then to

Unlock him i have to buy a saddle which put me right off before i was just buying bits of leather and stuff before and that was okay i went through the trades and then i got to six for a saddle uh these guys over here wheat for emeralds is okay

Then we’ve got the wool for emeralds which is a good one as well uh but then at the unlocking stage we’ve got flint uh we’re buying flint to unlock his next level and this guy again wool perfect to start off with but then he’s got the gravel at the end there

Wool again to start off with and then we’re all the way to melons at the end this guy is not too bad the farmers as farmers go because six melons for an emerald to unlock him isn’t bad one emerald to unlock him is good i suppose it would be better if he had

Like a a trade that i wanted to do over and over again as his very last trade uh so wool at the end would have been better but now i can trade in my load of wool and then when i finish trading in wool and he’s locked up i can just give him

One emerald back gives me six melons then i start trading him wool again yeah it’s not too bad not too shabby let me just show you how it works because um this is one of the reasons why we’ve got this pig farm down here uh check this out this is running most

Of the time when i’m here it’s not junk loaded or anything so it’s just it’s only working when people are online around the village take a couple of stacks of that and stack up there and a stack of that why don’t we the only thing i’m not getting is mutton

Now i know when i kill sheep i get mutton but when this mine factory reloaded machine kills sheep it doesn’t produce mutton and that is an issue for me but you okay uh first off let’s take your emeralds from you thank you i do them one at a time because

Sometimes it glitches if you shift click well that’s all those gun i could just sit there and just keep doing this trading all the meat away for loads and loads of emeralds now he’s now he’s done trading with me he gets locked give me that back thank you and let’s do

The middle guy because he unlocks for one emerald which means i can make two three four and he’s still not locked so i can do some more of him as well and this guy he’s uh he’s all locked all the way to there so now i’ve got to spend

Six of my profit basically all my profit to get a saddle to unlock him again that is not the best butcher in the world but he may have unlocked something new no he hasn’t so it’s gonna cost me six every time so let’s let’s say this is my profit for now okay

So beef now we’re not doing beef we’re doing all of the pork chops and we’re gonna make as much money as we can from this guy and the idea is to make the emeralds down here with the simple farms that i could automate and then once i’ve made the money

I go and spend it with the thorncraft guys to go and get some new stuff so uh yeah we’ve got some emeralds in the system but there’s 14. i don’t really think that because of that saddle i’m in much profit to be honest i don’t think i made a profit there i

Think i actually got our done by maybe made one emerald or two emeralds profit overall but there are more villagers being bred so we’ve got lots of breeding going on here and one of these is going to be a butcher and i’ll take that butcher and then i’ll

Put him down there and hopefully he’ll have a better trade for me uh but it’s it’s a it’s a hit and miss with villager trading you never know what you’re gonna get right so hey hey i didn’t i didn’t mean to punch you you moved out

You moved from the trade while i was clicking on the arrow okay i can’t get him uh i can’t get i don’t do i want to take his ignis discount maybe maybe maybe maybe you you are unlocking for seven to the next one you are doing these for one okay let’s do

One of these random is it gonna stop shifting these all still the same yeah that’s if you stop shifting no you are a random essence are you a random essence now still you’re still a random essence i don’t know i don’t know what’s going on but he

Also now has alimentum so let’s unlock the next one from that we like unlocking unlock some more stuff give me give me gimme uh that that that purified bath salts for five that’s not too bad we’ll have one set of those even though we don’t have

Warp on the server at the moment because we had potential issues um spikes when players were around so it was player-based spikes of lag oh books i can make books easy enough because we’ve got a sugarcane farm on that but really and then i’ve got seven left i

Could see what this guy’s got next and then go and do some more trading yeah let’s see what he’s got next let’s just punt at something good we’ll take that that’s the last time i need to do that trade hopefully oh 21 coins for an emerald well 21 coins i

Might be able to do coins we’ve been getting these little treasure bags these little common treasures and stuff off mob drops and i’ve got 16 gold coins at the minute let’s see what i get from a common treasure uh what did i get i got some more coins

So i’ve got 24 coins now which is all i needed uh let’s see what we get with the other one as well an ender pearl and a splash potion of weakness okay and the final one is an uncommon treasure oh i got a diamond and a ring of

Discount and a ring of air discount not bad not too bad those little treasure boxes are quite nice so which one was it was it you no you you’re done for me at the moment uh 21 coins for an emerald okay well show me the money that’s what

I want to see emerald unlock me something new then come on that’s it and what have you got now books for knowledge fragments again so these guys are all selling knowledge fragments uh let’s put that one emerald in there take that one knowledge fragment and see what

He unlocks next it’s a lot of trading a lot of faff but i might eventually get a few of these guys that i end up keeping this is kind of their their trainee period as you like order shards oh nice nice i like that that’s good so hmm yes

Next i’ve got to try and figure out how i’m going to use these mana beans and how good i get all of the anna beans even though they’re fairly random over there do loads and loads of villager trading to just sell all my pork chops on the wall and
