Yo actually though um here’s my real intro dude this is much better Okay guys actually though enjoy the video also uh i’m starting here because i have to re-edit this whole thing because uh everything crashed hey everyone it’s vanilla how uh i am recording two videos consecutively uh the previous one that i just recorded was about optifine on forge so if you want to go Check that one out i’ll leave a link in the description so what we’re going to be doing today is i’m going to be showing you how you can run minecraft in multiple directories so what that means is each version will generate its own files its own video settings Its own optifine video settings its own mods folder uh pretty much everything and we’re going i’m going to show you how to do that and when you do that and you switch between versions whether it be on lunar client or through your minecraft launcher these settings won’t interfere with each other Some of you have probably had this happen to you where you’re like oh yeah bro i just played 1.15 for survival for the first time used minecraft launcher never even downloaded i don’t know why and then you go back to lunar client or buy a line or whatever like one of those 1.8 pvp clients and then you’re like yo dude my controls are all have all reset all of my sounds have uh all been reset my video settings have been reset bro what is this and so yeah i know it kind of sucks um a lot of people have had this happen And so we’re going to be showing i’m going to be showing you uh how to get rid of that so i am going to be for this example i’m going to be installing a new version of minecraft one that i have never probably installed before which is 1.10 1.10 is Probably the version that has been least used so let’s get started if one point i have optifine i’m going to be installing optifine uh along with 1.10.2 guys if you are downloading optifine click the download one so you can get this ad so you can support the guy Who is i’m making optifine he needs this money dude seriously and here it is on our desktop so regardless if you’re installing optifine or not uh we’re gonna go create a new installation right and let’s make it 1.10.2 there it is uh what we’re going to do is we’re going To go to the game directory so you probably have already heard me talk about the the directories in this before so yeah right here we have the minecraft folder you guys are probably you may have seen this in windows to pop up the pop-up file selector uh windows select or sorry Folder selector before uh so right here we have all of my files as you can see i’ve you can probably tell oh yeah yeah this is definitely these these two other versions that he’s installed so i have my 1.15 version right here and if we look inside it Uh it has all of these things uh same thing with these 1.16 things right here uh you know they have the same mods folder they have the same config folder and yeah so um right over here uh in the other in this minecraft folder in the actual minecraft folder We have pretty much some of the same files here um except these are all what i i use all of these for 1.8.9 so we’re going to make a new folder now and let’s just do 1.10 i don’t think you can put periods periods in your folder so we’re going to Make a new folder oh so we have the 1.10 folder right here and so we’re going to do now is we’re just going to go select it and now we have we are going to run all of the files all the resources that 1.10 uses uh in that directory Okay everyone i’m gonna turn down music so right here as you can see uh all of my video settings are well reset uh these are all default um and you know this is the fov is normal you can see that these are all the default um settings So uh yeah so here’s minecraft 1.10 and let’s just say let’s just change the fov to 30 we’ll turn realm notifications off right uh we’ll fricking turn all these cape jacket off right uh we have no resource packs again because this is a separate directory uh but let’s put something in there so Guys i’m putting a resource pack in as you can see the resource packs for 1.10 that i just opened 1.10 resource packs it’s in that folder so we’re just gonna go and copy and paste this in here right this is in the normal minecraft folder Okay right you might be able to see it there it is okay so i’ve done some stuff this is a completely new directory and maybe we can even go change some controls okay guys we’re done we’re gonna go to 1.15 and see what happens 1.15 okay guys so i’m in 1.15 now and As you can see oh yeah so i have the basic mods um i oh yeah i started a survival uh that was pretty cool good seed by the way uh so let’s go and go to my settings right uh so my fov is quake pro Uh if you know me i i use quake pro regardless of the version uh and then right here uh you see i think i did some stuff to the things so yeah uh these are all uh customized settings as you can see this this isn’t the default key For drop selected item it’s cue so as you can see this is customized and it was untouched when i uh launched 1.10 and changed all of those uh you know controls so in case you didn’t know that’s pretty much it um and yeah so that’s pretty much it Uh if you guys have any questions leave them in the comments below uh if you want to access your mods and everything it should be pretty simple let’s just go do our windows key r let’s go percent app data percent right uh go here as you can see And 1.10 we have um all of the uh all of the files so if you actually go and like install optifine make a world um maybe do some other stuff uh it will minecraft will generate more files obviously it’s gonna generate a logs in a world file right Um but it will also it will like once you add a server um it will probably store that and probably create another file and stuff like that uh if you guys like this video uh please subscribe uh i’ve been working a bit hard to get these videos out And yeah that’s pretty much it i also uploaded another video sorry i’ve been uploading uh just some uh personal life reasons and yeah i’ll see you guys later peace out You Video Information
