Vaygrim’s Chance – Vaygrim’s Chance – S02E76 Dimension Hopping

Thank you greetings everyone it’s vagrum on a Wednesday episode of vagrim’s chance welcome welcome to the Tech Lab I have been working a little bit on a little bit of things uh relearning some things but we’re going to go over that in just a minute

Uh first thing I wanted to check in and know and let you see I’m actually going to turn off the UI right there nice big two by two screen that’s literally just monitors put side by side if you notice the color has even changed that’s because you can just right click on a

Case or a monitor with a color of uh die and I did it with ink sacks from Squid and it recolors them very very nicely now also notice I’ve got this battery right here I have taken out the under eye capacitor put this right here if I attached any other computer equipment

Directly to this stack they would all be able to pull from this capacitor right here if you notice it says energy stored 500 out of 500 but at the bottom it says 21 000 RF out of 21000 RF that’s this thing helping out so this has been working great runs like a champ

There is one little Improvement that I want to do to that which comes back to the BC Gates over here I need one of these now this is complex so I’m going to show you how I got to these things okay I made all these parts a long time ago

I’m gonna get one of those one of those one of those this is easy stuff to go over right first things first is the Redstone chipset if you put Redstone in here you’ll get a redstone chipset selectable over here pretty simple well just like if you put a redstone

Chipset and some Quartz in here or I think it’s Redstone in quartz you’ll get a quartz chip set and it’s nether quartz right I’m going to put this is blue pipe wire lapis Redstone and an iron ingot gets you eight it’s not bad in the grand

Scheme of things I’m gonna put one of those in there red pipe wire is the same thing but with red dye instead of lapis this is with Cactus green instead of lapis and I’m actually going to let’s see turn that off real quick we’ve got these options the quartz chip set

This is going to give us a quartz and gate and the quartz or gate now here’s the thing what’s the difference and you have multiple conditions that have to be met or you have multiple conditions that could be met I actually haven’t and already I’m going to make an or just for

Giggles now this is going to grab power and it’s going to laser this chip into fine-tune the perfection you can see the progress recipes oh I think that’s new to me lenses yeah gold or Gates gold that’s interesting I didn’t actually know so this is going to Output our Wonder right here somewhere

Or gate there we go now here’s the next step I want to upgrade this thing okay let’s say we give it this integration table that we actually made integration table is not real hard to make oh there’s recipes here too it’s hard to find trouble is the recipes don’t seem to be

Showing properly so here’s the thing if I get a quartz chip and put it in here the same thing that was in it then basically or I think it uses a quartz chip no matter what thing this is if you add a quartz chip it gives it a clock upgrade

Which means we get a quartz up or gate and you see installed expansions clock timer which means now we can have this thing send out Redstone pulses on certain conditions on a certain time interval which is very cool now if we got this I don’t know if it’s

Got any more upgrade slots or not yeah we’re also going to put an altaric Pulsar which means it’s going to be sending a pulsing Redstone signal almost like a redstone engine now quartz Gates let’s get this and put it down that’s structure pipe there’s different kinds of BC pipe there is

Stone pipe which is smooth Stone glass and smooth Stone makes eight at a time there’s Cobblestone pipe now Cobblestone and stone do not connect to each other let’s get there’s Cobblestone darker Stone lighter if you notice they will not connect to each other I have to use a different

Kind of pipe like gold to actually get them to talk to each other well if you get Cobblestone and gravel it makes structure pipe this is no longer meant to be used for actually moving stuff around inside it it’s only for using chips so what I can do now is right click on

One of these spaces and I’ve installed my or gate what was that it was a thing okay so Redstone signal let’s see let’s do yeah 15 second timer 10 second timer five second timer so on a 15 second timer closed input only open only there’s certain things that it should be doing

Energy pulsar so what we’re actually going to have this done done did we’re gonna did done do it I’m actually going to take that structure pipe segment I’m not going to use an or gate I’m going to use an and gate because I want them all running at the same time

I’m gonna come in here and dig up the flooring and this is another little wonder by my friend vexatos vexatos is my go-to for computer craft and even build craft I mean open computers Even build craft and a lot of stuff in there he’s going to

Kill me for saying computer crap but uh everything uh computer craft I mean open see I keep doing it everything open computers that he has taught me so far or that I’ve learned so far I’ve learned from him pretty much and he’s the one that tipped me off to this wonderful

Turn-offs deficist he’s the one that turned me on to this wonderful thing that open computers has installed in it I think it’s open computer so I put a gate right there it’s an and gate what I’m going to do start computer if the computer is stopped started

So I think in theory that means that if I control W out of this and shut it down I’m going to turn it off and it immediately gets turned on by that instantaneously that’s it it’s that simple ladies and gentlemen I now have a computer that is going to be guaranteed

To make sure that it is running all the time now I’m going to have to actually come down here we right click and what we’re going to do is uh let’s see Redstone signal on and I could say gate side only where it’s only receiving a redstone signal

From the top but I’m not going to do that we’re going to have Redstone signal on stop computer so what I could actually do if I wanted to is let’s get real do we have a pressure plate pressure plate yeah Stone pressure played good enough we now have an emergency stop

Not gonna leave that there but we do have an emergency stop method for our computer but we also have a constant emergency restart that machine is going to stay running thanks to that gate now I’m going to go over this one more time whoopsie let’s get some spare redstone Redstone chip

This is going to laser that chip into perfection I’m trying to be as useful as I can with open computers despite my limitations so I can’t program but I can’t show you a lot of tips and tricks outside of that so this has made us a couple of new

Redstone chipsets right we get one of those and then one of those I think or maybe nope let’s left click on that to kill it okay so it’s just straight Redstone and nether quartz the chips don’t get used for that they get used for other things that’s fine though

So a piece of redstone and a piece of another quartz and you get a quartz chipset which like these are so now what I could do if I wanted to let’s get a diamond chip set I’m actually going to grab quartz I’m gonna grab pulsating and I think what am I doing comparator

We have it no we don’t have a comparator I really thought I had comparators set to AutoCraft but apparently I don’t let’s turn any eye back on comparator just grab one of those that’s done I think what I need to do now is grab some redstone

I’m gonna put one of those in there one of those in there yes Redstone comp set there we go and I’m going to explain these as best I can where did our let’s get some structure pipe again put that right nope it’s gonna bug me here we go almost done

Now we have our new Blinky Blinky chipset okay so integration table I’m gonna get a diamond uh wait I’m missing a step here one two three let’s get this diamond set some pipe wire in there what am I missing oh yellow pipe wire naturally hang on a sec

I need to get an iron ingot do I have yellow I do that is the last color I’m gonna take all of this out we’re going to do it yellow wire please shoots through that real quick like a rocket one two three four five there we

Go I’m gonna do a diamond or gate just for giggles and this is going to take a while so I’m probably going to cut part of this otherwise it’s gonna be boring okay our chipset is just finished nope there it is diamond or gate I’m gonna actually grab this one for

Future reference we’re gonna go up here I’m going to do diamond or gate Redstone comp chipset and that’s going to actually get put in I think I can put those in that gonna work oh that’s just storage space or something um yeah you notice it’s got a clock timer

And it’s got a redstone fader and now we’re actually going to be giving it an Antarctic pulsar yes there we go so we have our wonderful gate let’s get our other one that we have not got upgraded this thing’s fancy it’s got moving stuff on it good great

So this is our quartz chipset it’s got Redstone level one Redstone level two level three this is actually been upgraded with the timer and a fader we can give it the actually I don’t think let’s do chords yep that’s just timer okay so that is only a timer and a redstone

Signal that’s all we get off of that we can also do a pulse if we want to energy pulse are single energy pulse which basically means that as long as uh this is meeting whatever condition this would be it’s going to be sending out a constant

Energy pulse wave on off on off which would be useful for pumping things out of chests using BC pipes for example um or if you want to give something a constant Redstone signal or a constant energy pulse like that um that’s the just the quartz gate though and that’s the limitations it’s got

They do connect now we get this diamond gate this diamond or gate is crazy upload upgraded okay first of all way more slots the higher grade the actual material is used the more slots you get now the problem becomes if you have an and gate every single one of these conditions if

They’re all set to something they all have to be met they all have to be either true or false that’s why I like or Gates individual conditions can be met this thing has standard Redstone controls right I can give it specifically what level of redstone I want to send do I want to

Send a weak signal or a strong signal we can send it out on a timer etc etc all sorts of great stuff can be done and then it’s got closed input only output energy Pulsar all the other conditions that need to be met so we could say when it receives

Redstone signal level 15 we could have it send out a level eight all sorts of crazy stuff can be done with this it’s a very elaborate chip I’m going to be trying to use these with future builds but I wanted to just kind of brief you

On these for folks that maybe are new and haven’t used a lot of the BC silicon system I’m going to be going over little bits of it I would like to start using parts of those in builds I think that would be a really cool idea let’s get

All that and put it back and yes so yeah that is a kind of you know a a poor man’s primer on how to make use of some of those chips and uh in general get some life and mileage out of them now there’s a different thing that I actually want to

Do today I want to mess around a little bit more with RF tools and the dimensions now when you make an empty Dimension you have to make one of these things called a digit dimlet these things are real simple to make I’m just going to make about six of them

And here’s the funny part right okay it’s just Redstone torches and paper and stuff like that let’s go over here I’m going to show you something very very clever if you get one that says digit zero right if I put this if I put made two empty dimensions

Like these empty Dimension tabs and I put this in one this and a second one they would come up with the same randomized Dimension because it’s digit zero but what you can do digit zero do I have a crafting table in here crafting table there we go there we go

You put it in the middle digit one two three four five six you just cycle through take it back to zero so now what you can actually do is get a tab where did I put it I’ve made a dimension that had a digits five thing in it because I found that as

A part of my actual loot now what I did was you get this and you put it in here extract digit six I took it out put it in crafting table and cycled it from five to six we make this as a dimension now and it’s going to be different if you notice

There’s an assorted energy doesn’t show as depleted so this is a totally new thing this is a new randomized dimension and this is how you can make several randomized Dimensions now it could be I could do zero zero I think I might even be able

To do like zero one or one nine or whatever the more of these digits you put in you can actually get more and more randomized empty dimensions and here we go uh dim three it’s actually ID number five but if I go over here

I want to get the tech lab and I want to go to dim three actually I’m going to check that one Destination Power low that one still has power and this one still has power that is impressive this one destination check okay now we cannot forget we need to actually get matter transmitter

And a uh what is it called dialing device you get one of those and we also want to make sure we take our dimensional transceiver with us also going to get my wrench out have it handy and my wand just in case I do not know what is going

To happen so I’m going to step Across the Threshold here real quick and there’s probably going to be a shortcut starting teleport okay I am back I waited a moment for everything to cut back in this is weird and strange and interesting but I like it now first thing I have to remember

I have to get my gym boots and take them back out second thing oh there’s water beneath this here okay and then I’m gonna get this here this checks for proximity we’re just going to get this we’re gonna set it to receive power from the main power Loop

And I’m going to put that there that there that is gaining power M3 dim three so now I can dial The Tech Lab back and we have a way home first thing I’m also going to do mark an exit now when it first came in there was a

Whole bunch of sand attached to the edge so as soon as the world loaded it all fell into what I’m expecting is a great great void but that’s fine we have a weird kind of a Skylands desert oh here we go watch this this is going to be what I’m talking about

And it’s just gonna fall to Oblivion all the way around very weird very interesting very cool I like it we’ve got some cacti here cactuses uh as my friend Bentley would say uh what um mode am I in clean mining oh now I want step assist yeah got some interesting stuff here nothing

Terribly amazing but may as well do a little bit of prospecting zinc don’t need more of that yeah now what I want to do Amber yes please thank you Marble Marble everywhere whoa I’m always on the lookout for charcoal for coal coal is always useful zinc

Let’s head back over here real quick but what I’m actually on the lookout for and I’m gonna I think the map is zoomed out as far as I can get it straining Journey map to the limits of its credulity credulous whatever words nah never gets old so I’m looking for more dimensional I

Mean uh more yeah dungeons looking for more little outposts in buildings from RF tools I’m getting a little bit of hitching probably every time I start stepping in I I step into a new Zone area new set of chunks it’s having to deal with all the Falling Sand oh

There’s lots of coal here the only problem is I don’t think there’s gonna be anything lower down because there’s no lower down if that makes any sense aha that is what I’m looking for we’re looking for these little buildings I’m not even sure if there’s bad guys

That spawn in this world or not to be brutally honest I am getting some hitching but I’m not sure where the hitching is frame rate seems to be really good redstone lamp there is a front door somewhere here we go okay so I don’t think we’re gonna need those right now

Uh digit three material green stained clay interesting interesting Sky green fog very cool and here we go here’s some unknown dimlets we have no clue what this is going to be material black stained clay magenta stained clay what are some of the common ones apparently

And I have a lot of these already I don’t know if I’m going to use them or not but basically that’s what I’m looking for is these Nifty little buildings like this now I see my way home is right over there I’m just gonna do some aha look at this

On a lower level this is why I like having a flight they’ve got a slightly different looking building that’s one doozy of a drop off after your front door man same building more unknowns to add to our collection and to research from these really only stat they stacked 16

Okay sky black fog ooh that’s creepy sounding and then let’s pick that up we’re gonna grab this one biome tiger very cool material purple stained clay we’re gonna have a lot of stained clay man and Sky normal dimlet that’s actually really really good it’s craftable yes

But it’s really good to be able to find that I like having those to be sure uh long term I think it could be very cool to actually have avoid Dimension that we could play around and maybe make a kind of a tech base there or a way station for the

People of voluntara oh we actually have a different this is a desert biome this is a different biome I think wow that’s one heck of a pit like the sand Lions came out here what is this this is uh oh this is all an ocean biome what biome ocean biome ocean

Yeah desert and ocean Elysian Forest oh that is podzol can I even see Erebus hangers oh what’s this what’s this yellow right that I Spy okay I need to hang down here more often this is awesome let’s do this real quick Geronimo yeah so we have a new and strange Dimension to

Explore I’m going to poke around here a little bit more then I’ll meet you guys back in the Overworld okay so I’m ready to go I’m shocked full of things and stuff um why or how more where do I want to actually make my departure

I want to make sure that I can come back here so I’m going to make sure this is still here just in case I want to get back in the dimension uh wow problem number one I need to actually get this and we’re gonna send everything that doesn’t need to be processed

Back I’m actually going to send that back as well we’re gonna make sure make ourselves some space right here put that there we’re gonna put our bag back or Yetta Ranch out okay this has an internal battery and it’s not using that power unless it’s making transfers receiving and transmitting so

If I pick this up you should notice right away five thousand and it’s not going down this is not changing at all this will use a chunk of change when I transport out but this will remain fully charged from this which means we can take this with us I

Could even if I wanted to now that this connection has been made take this with us and zinc perfect I need zinc like I need a hole in my head right now okay so now I’ll fill those up so when I transport I don’t fall through a hole

And basically this is ready to use and still come back to this isn’t going to use any power until I come back into this Dimension then I just make sure I bring these two with me but in case I don’t want to come back I’m not wasting this equipment

Stand on the teleporter and we wait okay we are back in the Overworld safe and sound this is using 10 RF per tick primarily because it was a completely random Dimension and I think it was a trip well worth it now this first thing I have to do immediately because it’s bugged

Zero you notice that I’m gonna get this put it back down get this put it back down there we go all nice and sound I’m going to go up here and I’m actually going to put all my or to be processed up here do I have that

I gotta check what my power usage is at I can’t remember nope turn that off okay oh you know what silly me I put an emergency cut off that I’ve forgotten about you see this lever right here ta-da wow I’m a genius I forgot my own safety measure I put another one right

There so I can cut off the auto crafting and I can cut off the auto processing and save power if I’m not using them and it’s so effective I actually hid it from myself there we go we are actually getting things processed now we’re gonna have a nice

Chunk of ulurium added to our stock and we’re getting some more Ores did I miss anymore or just the zinc or and let’s clear that up okay so now let’s go back to the lab I have a plethora of new things and I’m actually going to start making use of let’s

Put all of these up here first things first I’m going to go to the dimlet researcher put these in regeneration that’s huge what that means is players in the dimension gain the Regeneration effect yeah mob witch oh God biome tiger I already have one of those controller filtered interesting liquid water okay

I am Beach biomega Spruce tiger okay hendrils ooh that’s cool controller single there’s another five digit terrain chaotic hmm there we go sky sky body large Moon that’s cool I like it material Soul Sand Twilight Lake biome Inferno Sky oh I gotta see that one and Sky body large planet interesting so we

Have all of these now I’m gonna have some duplicates like I’ve got a digit I think five digit zero we still got some unknowns that we’re going to be going through I tell you what I’m going to do I’m going to get all this stuff out I’m going to sort it

Then I’m gonna put this stuff back controllers filter single digit three I’m actually going to drop that also the Scrambler this is something I haven’t gone over the Scrambler is actually a great resource you get three dimlets that you don’t want oh I don’t think it can be craftable

Ones I think it actually has to be found ones that’s interesting well I tell you what I’m going to do eight nine zero it’s a great way to get them to stack all over again nine zero let me go back in here and there we go we got eight of those things

Four dimension randomization uh red plasma fluid that sounds gross biome tainted land I’m not keeping that one terrain void that’s cool that means we can make a void Dimension now Extreme Hills plus that is good controller checkerboard I want to keep that one mob horse I’m not going to keep

That one so biomes tainted land let’s put that in there this is going to squirrel and it’s going to give us a new unknown I mean a new known Sky body large planet now unfortunately we already have that so I’m actually just going to plug that back in

But this is going to be a wonderful thing we are making connect collection of dim lights to make our own custom Dimension now I am actually going to pull this out it’s going to start going through its current power storage I’m just going to put it right there and

Leave it and we’ll be good to go that way if we need to we can come back to this but I don’t know if we’re going to be using this anymore actually you know what I want to go explore for more dimlets I’m going to leave it in there
