Good morning everybody it’s me Waddles and welcome back to the welcome back Bonzo Bonzo what are you and oh my you you look a little thin I have so many questions Bonzo I swear just last episode it was all rip Bonzo what where’d you come from welcome Back to the Minecraft guide in this episode of the guide oh it’s all wood wood and even more wood last episode we had a little bit of fun with the Kookie Farm but I think it’s about time we get back to it we’re gonna find every single Wood type in all of Minecraft and talk a little bit about how to farm each one too oh Bonzo I’m sorry for the confusion how does that happen every time this bridge is cursed oh bunzo bunzo today we’re going to set out on a big adventure and it looks like you need A little bit of time to recover but look at the kie Farm we built the world’s biggest Kook Farm last episode you didn’t even get to see it completed look at this thing oh what is that you’re crying in the cookie field funzo it feels so good to have you back I miss You anyways of course from the world’s biggest cookie Farm we get infinite easy cookies and look at this every single time I make a cookie I actually get eight cookies my plan here going forward is to continue to harvest this cook Farm once it’s of course like like you know a Little bit more fully ready to go than this up here and then continue to craft cookies eventually one day soon we’ll have like a double chest full of cookies at least what is a resource that needs no explanation at all in all of Minecraft out of all of the things this is like The most useful thing great for crafting great for building the great thing about wood is it comes in so many different forms and specifically if you’re into building you’re probably going to want to try and gather up every single one of those forms so for us here today when Talking about how to B and farm every single wood type I feel like there’s only one logical spot that we could start that’s with the beautiful brand new beauty that is known as Cherry One D hold up hold up my manager is calling what’s that oh okay yeah yeah yeah I I’ll ask him my manager wanted me to ask you before we get too far what is the single best wood type in all of Minecraft I’m pretty sure there’s only one correct answer but you call it down below and while you’re headed down there delete that like button for me thank you so Much so Minecraft in a world post caves and cliffs update biome generation makes more sense than ever before one of the big parts of the 1.18 update the second half of the caves and cliffs update was getting biom mapping correct basically what the devs wanted to have is like a Biome that is one temperature and kind of one aesthetic blending smoothly into another biome that is like a little bit relatively similar here we have the plains that smoothly transitions into the forest that smoothly eventually transitions into the spruce Forest of course terrain generation is a little Bit wonky sometimes it gets crazy but knowing a little bit about terrain and how it’s supposed to work we could use that knowledge to our advantage to find our first wood type of the day Cherrywood if you’re looking for Cherrywood the biggest thing you want to look for inside of your world is Mountains here’s a completely random world and inside of this completely random world and my spawn was over there by the river if I was looking for Cherrywood I would first look around and then notice these Hills right here off the bat now these things right here they’re pretty big but nowadays not Quite classified as mountains however the trade is starting to get a little bit more Rocky so it would be a good idea to head off that way I head this way and then before too long look at that the terrain gets even more hilly the rule today is of course it will not Always happen every world is different but check this out I go over to the metal biome it gets more hilly and then the hills continue for at least a little while longer so Lads the fastest way to find Cherrywood is to find a mountain and then keep looking around for a Mountainy looking biome called the cherry blossom biome that’s something we did in our world way back when like episode 3 or something so that that’s one wood type down only 10 more wood types to go I think how we’re going to run things today is talk about how to Find every wood type and then near the end of the video we’ll talk a little bit more about farming every wood type but I have a good idea in mind to do in the middle too check this what if considering the fact that we’re never going to probably go out and find new Wood types again we built a simple Monument a small wall maybe a fountain in front of it or something cool like that to Forever mark this day in our hearts a and what if maybe not make it just a flex but a little bit of function Too we put the wood types in order of the gradient that way whenever I need a specific wood type or like a build need inspiration I come look at the wall and figure out that wow Birchwood and Oak Wood they’re like the beginning of this wood gradients and the next two Woods we Should definitely talk about oak wood and Birchwood what I want to do next up is create a completely random world and we will check this out friends look at this oak wood and Birchwood are the two most ancient Minecraft wood types Oakwood and Birchwood are also the two Most most easiest to find in Minecraft wood types as well it can almost guarantee that almost any world that you find with a crazy spawn maybe will have oak wood and Birchwood somewhere within like 500 blocks of Spawn our catchphrase again not always of course you can spawn Isolated in the middle of an ocean without those things but most Minecraft worlds Oak and Birchwood should be relatively easy to find right from the start Oak and Birchwood the easiest spot to find it is going to be inside of some kind of forest biome biome GR wise the Forest can really fit in almost anywhere you could find the forest biome next to some kind of warm biome like the Savannah you could find it next to a colder biome like a snowy Tundra once you locate one of Minecraft’s oldest biome with these ancient wood types inside of it it’s straightforward it’s So easy walk over to the tree punch the tree get a log walk over to the other tree punch the tree drop a second log on the ground pick that log up and just like that the proud odor of the ancient types getting ever so slightly more Complex here next up let’s talk a little bit about Spruce Wood hands down the most beautiful wood typer for building flashback throwback World spawn inside of this world ha beautiful beautiful place we got really lucky with like a forest raped by spawn a river by spawn And also a TIG of forest raped by spawn too it’s a beautiful fact that nowadays getting your hands on Spruce Wood no it shouldn’t be that hard at all if you’re living in a mountainous area all you really might need to do is climb the mountains up high look for a biome Called The Grove and you’ll be able to find this stuff on the other hand if you’re in a little bit more of a foresty situation like our world spawn well continue traveling through the forest until hopefully fingers crossed that Forest flips into a tiger we’ve also got Some really cool variants of the Tiga as well where you could definitely find this stuff a little fun fact about this season of the guy the world that we have everything like that originally when I was trying to come up with an idea for what I wanted to do with this season and Where I wanted to build I was heavily highly considering Building inside of one of these old growth biomes because I mean look at these trees they’re just so beautiful like super giant really tall the ground is pretty de decorated and detailed as is too like wow chef’s kiss Of a biome right here Lads this place is great so Spruce Wood is a wood type that really shouldn’t be too hard to find in the grand scheme of things dark oak wood that might be a little bit more tricky but it’s still shouldn’t be too bad way Back when episode number seven I think it was we talked all about how to find specific biomes inside of your world using the biome gradient and things like that the dark oak forest biome fits in the biome gradient pretty much right next to the birch Forest the normal Forest the tiger forest and other biomes with trees all over the place hands down by far it’s not even close the easiest way to spot a dark oak forest biome looming ominously off in the distance is going to be those red red mushrooms a really really nice way to find specific Biomes if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation and you can’t hey yo check this that’s the biggest Flex right there try to find an area inside of your world that is as high and as open as humanly and physically possible if youve got a giant tall mountain your nearby Great that’s perfect if you don’t have a giant tall mountain nearby then just find a tree that is relatively isolated where you can probably see a lot from it up on top of the tree go to video settings raise that render distance all the way with OptiFine I got 64 chunks Let it all load in give it a little bit of time and then hopefully somewhere from spinning around and looking around you’ll be able to find that specific dark oak forest biome that your heart has always been dreaming of and so now it’s time our next toop on the Minecraft Wood train today sends us over to the most evil dangerous place in the world grab a gold helmet for this one cuz we’re going in well I guess I should say grab a gold helmet and grab a silk touch pickaxe as well we’re going to talk About farming a little bit later on but for farming this specific type of wood well you need to silk touch the nyum block either the red one or the blue one or I guess both move into The Nether and make a portal hopefully before too long You can find one of the two or maybe two of the two forest biomes that you’re looking for you got to be careful specifically inside of the red one because you got these nasty buy log ones all over the place if you have these blue mushrooms use these to your Advantage look at that big boy right there he terrified of it now look we’ll talk about farming a little bit more in a second but spoiler alert here if I chop down one of these trees all the way it doesn’t Decay like a normal Overworld Tree and if I were to break these blocks that are like the leaves if you will I actually am not going to get any saplings either if I want to farm these things it’s actually all in the nyum and these small little mushrooms right there I combine this boy with bone meal and Basically get a new one of those those guys I do kind of hate to do it to you but I have planned this series out in an order for a very specific reason if you’re looking for either of the nether forest biomes what great news we talked All about exploring the Nether and a ton of tips and tricks and hacks for finding specific biomes I talked about that in the nether exploration episode that you’ll be able to find inside of the guide playlist so if you’re really desperately looking for those wood types Check that next now so far today we’ve been talking all about wood types that aren’t necessarily like warm wood types if you will when I’m talking warm wood types I’m talking wood types that originate from an Overworld biome that’s a little more spicy humid warm dry or Maybe what you know just like a hotter than both the forest the Tiga and all the other ones we talked about if you didn’t get lucky like our beloved dear president T did inside of his Minecraft world and you didn’t start inside of a biome that is already like kind of warm It’s time to explore you’re going to need to travel across your world’s biome gradient until it starts to get a little bit warmer the plains biome is a great signifier that it could potentially get a little bit warmer but at the same time the pl Bome is a signifier that it could Get colder too long story short here it’s time to start searching your world for something like a warm ocean a jungle a desert a Mesa biome or maybe even the Savannah Biome last it’s time for a consequential moment it’s time we hunker down and collect the final two wood dipes that We’ve never picked up before and also maybe a KN to the Forgotten one aelia oh hey no way no way look at that I’m not looking for it today but a warm ocean biome I mean the world’s smallest War motion biome tiny coral reef right here it’s sad the environmental tragedies That this world has come through but sea pickles Coral all of it oh that’s beautiful I’ll remember you I’ll come back for you later next up we’ve got a casa wood type a wood type named after mildly controversial internet blogger you will find a CA wood type Inside of the Vana biome to be honest it’s actually kind of worth passing up on this is maybe the worst most terrible wood type ever like uh what in the world who want to build with that but I mean if you insist now I big a wood type Pro Tip to save you a lot of time that I have for you when traveling around your world and collecting them all once you are able to locate the specific biome that you were looking for that has that wood type I highly recommend chopping down a couple trees and get in like 10 Or so saplings of any wood type before you leave get 10 or so saplings espe especially especially if you’re inside of the dark oak forest biome or the jungle biome that we’ll talk about in a second I think by chopping down like four Savannah trees here and giving it a Minute I’ll probably hopefully be able to have more Savannah Acacia saplings than I could ever need of course of course once we take these saplings back home and properly Farm them hopefully we’ll get lucky and be able to get more saplings from the leaves that grow to like sustain our trees forever but Unfortunately that’s not always the case if your biome is really far away it will be big no to have to travel all the way back and while wow look at the nether portal in the distance it’s so tiny out there huh that’s cool 13 Savannah Saplings oh yes good I was going to say it’s so unlucky I can’t leave with 13 16 yeah I think we’re probably check good done good to go next up is that swamp to get there a little bit quicker let’s make a boat and then get there whoa hey Hold up hold up I almost wasn’t going to say anything but this looks like it’s the world’s biggest deepest aquifer H drowned inside of there goes really really deep looking like maybe you can see it better from here yeah look at that the lights and everything I can Literally see deep SL oh that’s insane we’re going to come back later and so here we are we set foot to where no man has ever set foot before the deeps the depths they continue but the trees the beautiful red man W the trees oh my gosh These things are so beautiful so tall and the saplings they actually don’t Decay from the leaves instead they grow on the leaves M now the mangrove tree The Mangrove tree is a m messy messy tree this is going to be a tricky wood type to farm because of other branches Grow and go probably the best way to get a lot of this stuff fast is to commit an environmental disaster and DeForest the entire mangr swamp this wood type though it very well might be the most interesting wood type because not only do the the saplings come like completely Differently on the leaves but also you get this root thing too in the grand scheme of things to be honest the root is maybe like not super useful for anything but like building decorating yeah yeah you definitely could use that for that because the sapling don’t really come from the mangr leaves when You chop a tree down you don’t really need to chop a tree down and then wait around instead you can just run around in the forest jump around and pick the propagules off the leaves technically speaking you could leave all of the natural environment alone and I guess You leave it alone and just be a true conservationist or something like that but is that me oh that’s debat hey wao hold up little buddy where you going you’re like leaving your Homeland you wait right there I’ll be back for you later one protest that I’ve got for you for when You’re looking for warm biomes or maybe even wet warm biomes is use the ocean to your advantage if you happen to live by an ocean it’s a whole lot easier to jump into an ocean and sail around than it is to like run around by foot on land the M Grve swamp biome is a wet warm biome it’s very common that you’ll find like a warm Ocean or lukewarm ocean that basically Blends smoothly into a mangr swamp biome that or a swamp biome if you can find a swamp biome you might be in luck heading into the swamp look around And hopefully that BL lint into a mangrove swamp and well well well would you look at that a very familiar place right here as the sun slowly begins to set inside of our world the final two wood types of the day jungle wood and bamboo wood if you’re looking for wood Types and diversification the jungle is just about the spiciest best biome to look ever since the Minecraft 1.20 update if you head over to a jungle biome you’re not only able to find the jungle trees all over the place and once you find these things I recommend Chopping a couple of these down cuz the sapling drop rate is not exactly the best on these leaves but also sprinkled throughout the jungle generation you’ve got oak trees as well if you’re looking for Oak saplings and you can only find a jungle well I got great news also Sprinkled throughout the jungle every single variant is going to be bamboo you’re going to want to chop down a little bit of bamboo or maybe even a lot depending on how much you want and then head over to a crafting table for Minecraft’s final wood type and so every single wood type Inside of Minecraft the biomes that you find them in how to find those biomes everything like that that’s just about it there is a secret weapon that I haven’t even mentioned quite yet that’s because it’s despicable the lead sales tra if you happen to find yourself Inside of a world where you just can’t find one of the biomes we’re talking about today well you could wait around for a little bit of time and hopefully a Wandering Trader will pop up at your base check out the wandering Traders trades and sometimes every once in a While you get a sapling trade fun fact you could actually find every single sapling in the entire game including from the wandering Trader the price that the wandering Trader is going to offer you it’s not exactly so hot at all but this could potentially come in clutch if you can’t find something Specific back over at home sweet home with our dear boy sweet bonome what do you say we finish up this wood chart so I don’t know this is where it gets a little bit of like personal opinion but I feel like jungle wood kind of fits in There right next to Oakwood it like kind of almost transitions into Spruce a little pink but maybe next up hands down it’s for certain after we finish off like the basic wood tones right there we move into the really cool and fun ones we kick things off with Mangrove for Sure but if we want to talk about like specific logs Mangrove is a really good log to transition from like Oak log and maybe over to like spruce wood or something like that like that tone is perfect after red you know how Roy goes say it’s orange orange is next H bamboo Would bamboo wood bamboo wood is something that we’re going to talk a whole lot more about very very soon could be a subtle hint could not be I don’t know to craft bamboo wood we need a bunch of bamboo like that though I can’t believe that I’ve slept on bamboo Wood all the way up until episode number 31 I mean like look at this thing we crafted into the planks you get the yellow plank right there is beautiful looking and a green log too kind of fire one of the crazier things about this game in my opinion is the fact that we Still don’t really have a proper green wood type but you do have that green log that could kind of work I guess after that we would probably go with like the say and wood type right here and then I don’t know it’s hard to tell but I mean Before the context of man gr wood this was definitely red but not 100% purple and finally last but not least to finish off our wood tier list the big chart today we got the brand new cherry wood it comes full circle let’s talk about Farms what do you say Bono when it Comes to farming wood basically I’ve created three imaginary categories of course in the future we’re going to talk about some cool more efficient more effective Tree Farm but if you want to talk about farming wood like basically the most simple form in category number one the normal or basic wood types Oak Birch cherry and AA all you really need to do is Place saplings down and space them up if you really don’t care about sapling yield like you have more Oak saplings than you ever need you could probably crunch your saplings all together like that and eventually they Will grow but on the other hand if you want more saplings then place a sapling down go three blocks and place another one and basically create a Big Grid formation as long as you’re not placing your saplings right next to or two blocks within a block that steps up your Tree should be able to grow a general rule for tree farming is if you have something smaller and weird like a torch or something that could be right next to the sapling and it should be able to grow also you need height room when farming any tree like if I try and plant That there it’s never going to grow now category number two for wood types gets bigger and actually speaking of two it’s 2x two the best way to farm Sprucewood dark oak wood and jungle wood is with a 2X two square of saplings to farm the big tree place a square of saplings on The ground just like that and then give it a little bit of time or a little bit of bone meal eventually the thing’s going to grow up now the one thing to know is when farming big rooster podsa will grow all over the ground to stop This rad of Bodo for the most part you need to isolate the square in other words build like a floating Square somewhere build something that can’t be turned into dirt next to it like Cobblestone or something and then plant your saplings over there if it’s far enough away from the ground your ground Won’t be rude with it disgusting pod like what even is that it’s from the toilet category number three is the Netherwood types lug we kind of already talked about when collecting these wood types you’re going to need the nyum slide into The Nether and silk touch Yourself a block of nyum or two and also while you’re at it pick up some of the funk out this is the source of the tree after you’ve made it back over to the Overworld find a spot of land that is relatively open something like that and Place your nyum down place this on top of it and make sure nothing nearby is in the way now it’s bod meal time now I have no clue if I’m actually going to have enough to do this here but bone meal this thing po just like that I do Have enough we get a gigantic tree now after that you know how things go it’s time to chop the tree down or maybe leave it for Aesthetics I can’t decide if I want to do that or not I think about it now a little bit later on definitely I’m going To design us a much better nether Tree Farm than just like nyum Square on the ground but for the basics of farming that’s basically how it’s done oh and also you can bone meld the nyum itself for like different plants and stuff like that and to grow more and so with all of That crazy talk today that brings us to our outliers we’ve got mangrove and we’ve got bamboo oh and also not the flex or anything like that but I’ve got a Vines those boys are coming with me just like we’ll do for the nether wood types just like we’ll do for the other Wood types and also just like we’ll do for this stuff later on inside of our world we’ll build a proper farm for these things but mangrove trees when you bod meal them they’re a little bit messy The Roots kind of go everywhere the height I mean it can get really really Tall or really really small if you wanted to you could try limiting the height growth of these things with like a ceiling somewhere if you limit a sapling L with like a ceiling somewhere it might take a little bit more bone meal to grow but it also might be easier To contain and harvest long term Now look for the mangrove tree if you’re looking to farm this thing I highly recommend considering making a setup that looks something like this right here here I’ve got a sapling dead center three blocks out I’ve created a ring of scaffolding after that in Survival Minecraft if I were to bone meal this thing eventually it will grow into a Tall Tree then I could use the scaling that I’ve placed down around here to move around the edge of the tree reach into the middle and actually chop this stuff down also being up on top of the Scaving I can find the propagules and make sure they’re fully grown and harvest those things too and that’s like pretty much the world’s easiest manro Tree Farm keep it in mind maybe use it in your world we’ll build a better one later H so I would like to beautify this Part of the world to make it feel a little bit more intentional I was thinking first things first we could definitely come in here with like some Corner blocks maybe like definitely turn the corners into staircases and then also mix in a little bit of Mossy bricks That might make it feel really cool we could maybe even switch up our block variant a little bit and on the bottom do something more final and absolute like that cool design that could be sweet in the future ooh good yeah yeah yeah in the future going forward here Maybe we make some like big pots maybe even archaeology pots and put them here with like every sapling too that could be kind of cool looking but yeah you know maybe something like that then I was thinking cuz this is kind of like my world’s water source that I’ve been Using what if I built like a small fountain uh like straight out from this thing I’ll find the middle and do like a 3X3 a little ring I can it I can It now for today’s comment of the day I’ve got a good one a really really fire one in fact these things right here the sparkle every single tree type obviously just plant a little bit of bamboo in there and then yeah maybe work the nether trees in here too so I have like a whole almost like Tree Garden is that a bad idea
