Hello there everybody it’s me your boy is zoom avoid welcome back to another episode of the hermit guy i mean minecraft guide world episode number 82 number 82 i swear i’ve tried that intro like 50 times and i keep saying the same thing i don’t even know what’s happening haha anyways welcome back

Welcome back like gang so today look at this machine this machine has been running a little bit in between episodes i’ve been kind of like standing around planning what we’re gonna do today and it’s running look at all of this barter loot it’s so amazing i’m so happy with this the crying obsidian

Is literally pouring in it’s amazing we might just maybe have enough crying obsidian to finish up this hub by the end of the episode but speaking of finishing hubs this room right here is definitely not done we ended the last episode because it was getting long but

There is work that needs to be done here in this hub and then actually work that needs to get done where our other nether portals are in the nether world tour time it’s coming up it’s going to be episode number 100 i’d like to make sure that nether hub is in

The perfect spot for the world download and the tour so today we’re going to make big progress towards that perfect spot we’ve got a lot of work to do today though so no point in delaying anymore first things first is this hub right here we need to finish this thing up

Now uh at the end of the last episode we got terra cotta terracotta derek i love this stuff so terra cotta is making its first appearance in this hub i’ve been planning on doing this for a long time and that’s why this project has kind of been on hold so first things first

We’re gonna need a lot of black terracotta second thing second we’re gonna need a lot of gray terracotta but not light gray i i think it’s normal gray it’s been a minute since i made this but i’m pretty sure it’s the normal gray chair is this great that yeah that’s great wait

It looks the same what all right it’s okay though i’m pretty sure it is the gray one so we smelt the gray up in the furnace just like this and then we’re going to get glazed terracotta and glazed terracotta it’s an interesting looking block for sure

It’s strange looking but i think it it might actually work in this building let’s make sure this is the right one though please do the right yes yes yes yes yes that’s the one okay we’ll start with the black terracotta so up top here we’re gonna

Have like a walking area so i can access this spot manually start it you know all of that type of stuff this walking area is probably going to be i i think what we might do is raise this back wall up like like half a block like th no no no no

No no never mind never mind we’ll we’ll put this layer all flat okay so it’s gonna be all flat like this we’re gonna have to come back up here somehow in block spawns because spawns are going to continue to happen in here definitely don’t want a bunch of

Zombified piglet in the hub but that’s gonna be like that then next up this is what we’re gonna do black terracotta is going to sit along the base right here going from one end all the way to the other end i’m pretty sure this black terracotta is going to fit the vibe

Of this whole room like perfectly because of the colors the colors are like essentially the same thing so black terracotta all the way along here matches nether bricks and blacks don’t really really well uh i definitely can place it don’t don’t worry about it okay

So that goes like that and then i think what we want to do is probably turn it over here too but maybe do we go like one block pass to add a little bit of depth probably probably like that so the floor continues out this way

Peaceful in here i don’t know what it is guys alright so that goes like that now what we’re gonna do is move on top of these blocks in this two block wide space and clear all of this stuff out we don’t need any of this netherrack in here anymore

Instead we’re gonna come in here with something that looks far more superior but before we do that we’re actually going to come up here along the top and do another stripe of black terracotta all the way along this thing just like this right here same thing

That we just did a second ago then i’m going to come back in here fill in blackstone make that look good my inventory is impossibly full today which is probably going to be a common theme but really quick basalt i’m waiting for stuff to cook up over here but salt

Basalt is going oh that’s going gonna be interesting ah we’re gonna have to make some changes to this tunnel right there that’s okay though it’s not a big deal we can’t afford to have netherrack in here but basalt basalt i i was thinking i would come in here

And go all the way along along this wall like just a basalt wall top to bottom i think that would look probably pretty good it would be different we haven’t really done that quite yet and it would match that wall right there so kind of all tie in together

I the only question is polish the basalt or normal well we did polish over here how about we try just plain old basalt this time and this is going to go all the way along this whole wall and then since i’m going to be able to see it from

From our nether hub thing which i’m sure it’ll look fine it’s just sandstone uh yeah sometimes it’s gonna look like that there i’ll put it over here too so everything looks the same oh look that’s interesting we could actually have a whole window right here do we want to put

I think i want to put a window there instead i’m gonna put a window with black stained glass on that one spot right there instead it’s not gonna be symmetrical anymore but it’s gonna look cool all right it’s still cooking but i can talk about it now we have enough of it

So this is what we’re gonna do up here we have the black terracotta stripes then this is kind of a nightmare but i’m going to place these things in here and i have to get these blocks to align i’m placing glazed terracotta that’s definitely not something that i missed

For sure not not at all uh but it’ll be worth it if i can get it in so what i want to try and do with this pattern is try and link the center up so you see that right there uh it’s it’s gonna link up but by the time

We’re done with it okay so that’s gonna go there all i need to do is figure out how to place this last one which i have a feeling is gonna be probably from the back right if i go back here and place it is it gonna work um it’s gonna work it’s

Gonna look just like that over and over and over again repeating pattern down this whole wall and over there uh down the bend too it’s gonna look pretty sweet if if that is uh if if i can actually get these blocks to be to be placed in in the right shape and

In order and everything like that like that yeah it’s gonna be a little tricky when placing the stuff though here’s the strategy so what i like to do is figure out which way one of them goes which is going to be like that and then i’m going to to think about

Where every single one goes that needs to face that direction which is going to be along the top right here every single other block after i finish all of these ones then i’m gonna come back in and figure out the next direction that something needs

To go so maybe like like let’s see where would that go okay so that’s gonna go up there yep and then i finished the top part uh just like that it’s actually not that bad next up the ceiling the ceiling is going to be pretty easy soul soil it’s a

Really cool looking block and it’s going to match all of the colors that we’re working with already so the ceiling i’m thinking a bunch of soul soil in here and then maybe if i have to i could come in here and break it up with something else like

Like some kind of cross support a beam something like that i’m not too sure even honestly solid sole soil might look pretty cool the floor the floor is also going to be insanely simple so the floor to start i’m gonna dig down uh let’s see

I think i wanted to get on three blocks and then all over the place on the well not all over the place in some of the spots i’m gonna put some of this crimson nylon then i’m gonna fill everything else and make it entirely flat smooth with netherrack

Then i’m going to bone meal everything so the nylium goes everywhere then i’m going to bone meal the nilium so then there’s plants all over the place so it looks like we’re basically in a crimson biome like standing on it and then to stop spawns from happening

I’m going to skip this block this is going to be where the plants are up here glass a solid glass floor probably black stained glass maybe basalt reaching from like there right across maybe i’m not too sure it honestly might be better as just solid glass that’s the plan though for the

Rest of this hub pretty simple all i need to do is finish it okay real quick progress update i’m getting soul sand for the ceiling uh look at this this is crazy soul speed is amazing and and these boots they seem to be able to handle it pretty well i think

We’re gonna probably need to make like a soul sand highway somewhere in this world because this is like absurd like look at this this is crazy it’s so cool i love this enchantment i still really wish i didn’t take that durability damage but it’s such a cool enchantment uh anyways back to work

It’s done you ready for the grand reveal so first up here’s the hallway we have the basalt in here i think the result looks really good the cool window too that’s nice then same thing down here basalt and no window though so kind of different but then the big room here

It is i’ve had a lot of fun working on this room the terracotta up top like the glazed one i feel like that fits in really well the black terracotta and then the ceiling uh gotta admit the ceiling is maybe the only part that i might change

I think the ceiling needs a little bit more but like cross sections across this thing i i just don’t think that’s the way to go i was thinking maybe like fossils hanging through like bone blocks and stuff but uh bone blocks a bone see bone meal

Yeah i don’t really have a lot of that stuff right now so that’s gonna have to wait but here is the room the floor it’s got that whole crimson mile feel which is perfect because that’s where the piglets live everything in here now this wall by the way it’s really blank and i’m

Thinking like a banner with a particular pattern and another one and another one and another one like four of them in there to break the wall up i think that would look pretty cool but for now that’s kind of what we’re looking at i did go around and try and block as many

Spawns as possible like i have buttons up there i have a lot of light up there uh lanterns all over the place the glass is not spawnable so for the most part we should be good we shouldn’t see any more gas money in here which is at least a good thing

Now i’ve gone ahead and emptied all of this by the way completely forgot that this thing gives me soul sand so i didn’t even technically have to go get more anyways i emptied it all i think it’s time to start it and then we’re gonna move on to

The next hub of the day so there we go there’s one over there here’s the next one perfect perfect you should be able to get that and then finally the last one right over here i did go up to the gold farm in between cuts too

Uh to get even more gold and to heal things up but perfect there we go all of these big ones are bartering i don’t know if this will continue to actually run while we’re not here but we’ll see on to the next hub with the bartering hub finished now it’s time

To talk about the other mini hubs that we need to set up there are actually three of them the first one is going to be over here this is down the hallway that’s right next to that bartering hub now the hallways these are pretty plain but i’m actually fine with these

To me these always are way too long to really care about them that much i mean going down the whole hallway and revamping it all it would look cool and it would be nice when it’s done but it would also take a long time and in my opinion would kind of be pointless

But that’s definitely not the case for these hubs so hub number one that we need to revamp this one right here this one goes over to the desert i was thinking that it would be pretty cool to revamp each hub and the theme of whatever it goes to so the desert hub

Should probably look deserty now yes i do go through this hub to go to the frozen ocean too but i don’t think i really want to try and mix the whole ice and desert theme after all if we wanted to we could make an ice themed tub over at the ice spikes

Biome portal but technically that one isn’t even fully connected so we’re not really going to worry about that hub today so i’m thinking for what i want to do i’m going to need a little bit of terracotta definitely a lot of sandstone for sure and then some sand

So minecraft desert when you hear that what do you think of of course sand and stuff like that but how about those structures what do you think of of course there’s only one structure well not really only one but there’s one big structure that i think of you when i

Hear the desert and that structure is exactly what we’re going to try and recreate here or at least kind of it’s going to be inspired by that structure so we’re going to start with sandstone over there this hub is going to be pretty small these are mini hubs after

All they don’t really need to have very much in them just really really like a fancier portal entrance but small hub so we have right there that’s gonna be a flat side of five so that’s gonna go one two three four and then five is gonna be down here we’re gonna finish that

All the way around here all right so that’s gonna go like that and then i’m thinking in the corners maybe cut sandstone or maybe maybe actually smooth sandstone smooth sandstone might yeah smooth sands unfortunately that’s gonna be the answer so there’s that now uh next up on this side this is what

We’re gonna do we’re gonna go up one more layer uh just like that and then there there’s a shape there with the desert temple you know that one thing on on the one sides like like on the towers yup that thing exactly that’s what we’re going to recreate in

Here which is going to look really really cool then the floor is really simple the floor is just going to be all sandstone or maybe actually the floor is going to be sand yes santa’s gonna look a little bit better and then the ceiling look at this we’re gonna be up by

Bedrock so the ceiling is gonna be bedrock and then on every single flat wall except that one because it’s not gonna fit we’re gonna have the desert temple shape in there desert temple shape desert temple shape sand pedarock portal in the middle oh it’s gonna be perfect that’s exactly

It now while i work on this hub i would like to make one thing clear i’m not really worried about stopping spawns in in these smaller hubs spawns are gonna happen in these smaller hubs because we’re not gonna do like slabs on the floor or glass everywhere or anything like that

I just want these things to look a little bit better so then when i go up to the nether portal it’s very very obvious as to where that portal goes and it’s pretty fancy too i think fancy would probably be pretty nice and i mean after all the main another hub i

Would consider that pretty fancy yeah so probably the rest of the hub should be nice too okay here we go desert temple for sure definitely the vibe now the new portal the new portal is gonna have to be a different shape we’re gonna make it a

Little bit bigger so it fits in the center let’s see maybe we go i don’t know i feel like that high that high is probably gonna be good i don’t know how high that actually is but it felt good uh so we’ll do the same thing over there corners always wouldn’t

Ever skip that nope i’ve never have nope never have skipped a corner on a single portal but there we go that’s good that’s a big portal there we go like that and then finally to make it easy to get up and down slabs right there then i can walk right

Up into this thing and go to the desert whenever i need to go to the desert okay that’s pretty good next up the next few hubs that we’re going to work on are both going to be down this hallway now there is the ice spice mountain we

Do have a portal there but like i mentioned earlier it’s not fully connected like i don’t have this whole ice right in and honestly i’m trying to decide if it’s even worth it like do we put this in to go to the eye spikes vinyl because

Honestly how often will i go there i’m not too sure anyways the next stop is going to be the flower forest hub the starter base hub i have a really really cool idea for this hub but before i can do anything i need like a bunch of light blue concrete

So we’ll start with the floor of this up because the floor is going to be really straightforward grass for sure now unfortunately the grass is kind of ugly and then other we’re just gonna kind of have to deal with it it is what it is

Now this hub i i don’t know if it’s actually going to have like a perfect shape i’m thinking a little bit more of a random shape we’re going to try and create a bit of a cave that’s open to the sky in here and then we’re

Going to put like a bunch of flowers and life around the portal because of course it goes to the flower forest and uh yeah the one thing that we need to remember that we have to work around in this hub is this access spot right here this

Actually goes down to the lower nether and i definitely need to have this open still i have extra ladders so that’s not that big of a problem i figure we’ll just throw a ladder there that’s good i just need to remember it and i need to incorporate it into the design somehow

Incorporating it might just mean like literally leaving it open on the ground or putting a trapdoor over it i don’t know i can’t decide quite yet but it’s a thing now over here we have a hallway to the og nether fortress it’s cool but honestly

I i might end up blocking it up i’m not too sure i don’t know if i’m ever really gonna need to go there ever again so let’s see in terms of a shape maybe something like that i feel like this is good like we walk into it and then we

Can put the portal right at the back this time yeah yeah yeah i feel like that would be pretty cool so let’s see here uh same size portal as the last one so it’s gonna be five wide just like that to match to the hallway

Then uh however it’s all we did i don’t know i’m just gonna kind of guess here maybe we went up like like the one more block that should probably be it yeah that feels good all right cool that’s gonna be like that perfect ah so now the tricky part i

Have to be honest i don’t know how i’m gonna do this i don’t know how i’m gonna pull it off it’s gonna be a little tricky but this is what i’m thinking we’re gonna do like cobblestone and stone piled around the sides and and there’s gonna be layered like we’ll have

Bits sticking out bits going in and stuff like that and this is going to go up probably like this high or so it’s not going to be perfect on every single side but it’s going to go up like an average of that height that should probably be good

The part that makes this all really tricky is making it look good like it needs to look like an actual cave but even better than that like like an even better cave uh yeah okay uh yeah in hindsight that actually wasn’t too bad something like that that’s pretty

Good we’re probably gonna have to mess with it because this is the tricky part so we we have a cave right here this is what i’m thinking we come in here and try and recreate the sky right this is like a little bit more abstract but we recreate the sky with light blue

Concrete in here uh and then we put like a sun and then we put like clouds in here too with wool and it’s gonna be completely different than my normal build style especially in this world but if i can pull it off i think it would look

Really really cool it would look like like we’re literally like like in this nice peaceful room so we have the sky and then the sky will probably wrap up and around like one block above the portal too that’s what i’m thinking clouds with white wolf flowers all over

The place coarser on the floor too So that’s the plan let’s see if i can actually recreate it all right not gonna lie i’m pretty nervous about this one here it is though we have the blue sky in here i got some clouds the sun check it out no i could not resist the bedrock ceiling

I don’t know this stuff never gets old so i decided to swap it up instead of blue box all around it didn’t look very good to be honest i did that up there i think that looks a little bit better but here’s the room we got flowers all around here

Uh some sweet berries i put a furnace in here a crafting table stone cutter a chest with a flint and seal just in case but yeah this is the room i feel like the vive is like pretty much exactly what i was going for i think it looks pretty cool i mean it’s

Pretty flat looking but that’s the style so we’re gonna call this hub check done good to go on to the final hub not gonna lie i’m like honestly in shock about that hub i think it turned out really well final hub this hub right here now where

Is this place well it’s quite simple you see if we go through this portal we’re gonna load and then boom we’re right here in the stronghold now it’s been a long time since we’ve been over at the stronghold like a long long long time and it’s been even longer since

We’ve been in the end but we need to start by going into the end to get end stone so the end i haven’t done very much with the end in a long time i’m thinking that we’re going to go back to the end pretty soon to do a

Little bit more exploration and then i would like to eventually make an end outpost based but really right now i’m trying to round everything off that we’ve been working on there’s a couple of villager things that i really want to do the nether hub of course there’s a

Couple more nether things that i want to do so uh yeah i haven’t forgot about the end just been busy hopefully we’ll be back soon all right now here’s the big question where we’re gonna go i think we’re gonna go oh yeah we’re gonna go all the way back

Over here ah big rip okay so the end hub the end hub is gonna be a little bit different i’m like set on the other two homes the desert hub that’s good the flower force that’s that’s really good too we’re definitely gonna leave those other two hubs alone they’re gonna

Stay like that forever but this hub is so uh i don’t really know what i want to do here i was thinking maybe like end stone on the floor that could look cool and then maybe like recreating the stronghold on the wall like stone bricks and and honestly maybe even just keeping

This hub a little bit smaller i’m really not sure what i’m saying here is we’re gonna finish this hub up today so it’s in a good spot but we might end up coming back in fact we probably will end up coming back and changing this hub

Entirely later on so i’m not gonna put as much thought into it see eventually once we have more purpur and probably more obsidian stuff like that i think it would be really really cool to make this hub actually like out of purpur that could be really really awesome but i just don’t

Have it right now for now though here’s what i’m thinking first things first big portal centered on the ice room big portal check light the big portal check the floor is end stone the wall is gonna be stone bricks we’ll do normal snow bricks and mossy stone bricks i’ll also

Come back and put some windows in here with iron bars you know now that i think about it honestly the strongholds are really nice but they need an update like like seriously the structure is actually like really really basic compared to everything else or at least like like leave the current

Strongholds in the game but maybe remove the end portals from them or something and then put like a new better stronghold in the game so then you have like the old stronghold that’s like a ruined stronghold basically and and yeah like i said the portal is broken or something and then you have

The new stronghold that is like more interesting and intricate and better mazes or or something cool maybe traps or something uh or even maybe the warden the warden lives in the new stronghold maybe that would be cool all right so this is gonna end up looking like this over here we’re gonna

Have iron bars looking out into the nether that’s pretty cool it’s not much to look at but it’s so cool on this side it’s gonna be a little bit different because we have netherrack we’re not going to move the netherrack though we’ll just put the iron bars right against it now this time

Instead of lanterns we’ll do torches i feel like torches fit the stronghold vibe pretty well so a couple torches just like that now it’s nice and bright all we need to do is the ceiling now and the ceiling i’m kind of thinking maybe more end stone so we’re like kind of like

Sandwiched in here in the stronghold or maybe do i want to do some bricks um tough call another thing that i really really would like to do eventually at some point is come back to this stronghold because this is a really really close stronghold finish exploring it because i’m pretty

Sure we never finished exploring it and then actually heavily renovated like basically rip the whole thing out maybe have like an entrance from the surface so we could like fly over to it and then fall right down in but uh for now the stronghold netherhub is going to stay

Looking like this it’s simple but the vibe is nice definitely absolutely better than before so now now all we need to do is get back to the other nether hub and check this out i have a shortcut right here into the overworld all right into the end

Nice cut right through the end while intensely staring at the ground the whole time to get over to the center portal fall through it and boom here we are back in the nether hub because that’s right i remember to set my spawn at the respawn anchor this time

So i’ve done the math here i think each section over here is going to require 24 crying obsidian so that’s 24 24 24 and 24 that’s going to be about 100 crying obsidian which is gonna be like a stack and a half right now we’re actually sitting at

About a stack so we’re not quite there yet today but soon for sure soon we’re gonna be able to replace this whole hub in the corners with crying obsidian and it’s gonna look really really good but now with those renovations our nether hub system is feeling way more complete than it ever was

Before i’m really really happy with this there are still things that i want to add on to the nether up and we still do need to do something with this room right here i have a couple different ideas but i still also might actually expand another hub that way too

I’m not too sure and check it the barter machine is still actually running let’s see how much gold is left in this thing how much do we have oh wow we have so much gold left okay maybe i should let this thing run in between episodes and then baby when i

Come back we might actually have enough crying obsidian to finish this whole hub gamers that makes the time for the comment of the day we need an episode about mob heads mob hebs yeah so mob hebs that brings up an interesting point about data packs i’ve been highly considering

Adding a mob head data pack to the world talking about the data fact like doing an episode on data packs and stuff and then having that in the world uh should i do it so the reason i wouldn’t do it is because it does technically change the game it’s

Not like entirely vanilla minecraft anymore but the data pack would probably be like the vanilla tweaks one it would be super simple and minimal and although that data pack would do would add mob head drops to mobs that usually can’t drop their heads so like piglins for example maybe zombified
