Games these days are getting more and more advanced with new Advanced features like better textured more details and even Ray tracing capabilities games are looking more and more realistic all possible with the highest performing gpus Minecraft actually being one of these games with the ability for Next Generation Graphics like raise updated Textures and more detailed lighting but where is this feature no seriously it feels like there hasn’t been a lot on this feature over the past three years and it’s been out of beta for that long that feature being Minecraft RTX Minecraft RTX or Minecraft Ray Tracy was Announced back in 2019 almost four years and there still hasn’t been much on it but interestingly enough Minecraft RTX wasn’t the first look at Advanced features in Minecraft in fact during E3 in mid-june 2017 which is an expo where manufacturers can show their new products Minecraft unveiled a trailer For Minecraft announcing the Better Together update and the new shiny 4K rendering super duper Graphics Pack which was a new pack that made Minecraft look amazing Ray tracing all new shaders lightingfx new textures and more detailed models the trailer showcase what this pack would essentially look Like you’ll notice it’s kind of what we have RTX as today but more on that later this pack was originally going to be released that same summer in 2017 but then was delay to 2018. in August 2019 however super duper Graphics Pack after two years of waiting was canceled this According to an article on the official Minecraft website was due to technical challenges however this wasn’t the last we receive an official look at enhanced Graphics in Minecraft that same month that super duper was canceled the brand new Minecraft RTX was officially announced to the public at Gamescom a trade fair for video games on August 19th interestingly only being announced a mere seven days after super duper was canceled I assume they found a better opportunity since they weren’t happy with super duper and decided to put the plug for better looking and better software option Minecraft RTX was Announced on a trailer on August 19th and showcases the beauty of RTX honestly it still amazes me to this day on April 16th 2020 the beta became available for PC players with an RTX graphics card along with six playables Maps showcasing RTX and a positive response followed Many fans and content creators were very impressed RTX left beta a few months later on December 8th and with that two new playable Maps this release wasn’t really as hyped up as say a Minecraft spin-off would be for a long time me and I’m sure many Others thought RTX was still in beta for this like of hype but the truth is there hasn’t been any major changes other than a few bug fixes in quite some time and because of this RTX can get a little bit boring since it only allows you to play RTX on official worlds from the marketplace made by a Nvidia oh yeah I didn’t mention the fact that RTX requires a downloaded pack from a third party to be installed in order to play it on any kind of world yeah I didn’t mention that so the only Way to play it without downloading that pack would be official worlds but what if you want to play on your main world there’s not really a fixer other than using third-party websites that’s kind of disappointing to me it’s weird that this feature seems almost dead no one is Talking about it and I haven’t heard of or seen anybody playing it and I don’t blame them RTX seems forgotten on the surface for this lack of improvements and attention it’s clear that devs have priorities set for expanding the Minecraft brand and for more updates rather than this feature which was Incredibly hyped up for its first year so it’s a forgotten feature well not entirely there is still hope in March last year a sneak peek was accidentally released showing what RTS would look like on consoles it was released on the Bedrock preview version of Minecraft which allows players to Look at unreleased features that are still in the testing phase similar to how Java does weekly snapshots this version of RTX according to a lot of the players who had Xbox series X and recorded some of the footage currently on YouTube shows that RTX was incredibly buggy and had bad performance at low Frames the lighting was noticeably off and no upscaling it’s obvious this feature was not yet ready for Xbox it was later removed from the game and confirmed on Twitter to be a mistake despite this it proves that RTX is still actively being worked on and could possibly come to Next Generation Consoles like the Xbox series X and the PS5 and Minecraft RTX being on consoles was actually already brought up there was a demo back in 2020 showing how RTX would look like on the Xbox series X and possibly the PS5 additionally there was an article from March 2020 that talks About the Xbox series X and its capabilities with Minecraft horse racing with this information and even new info the possibility for Minecraft RTX coming to consoles and possibly the feature being improved on as a whole is that much more likely even though this feature is a bit confusing Minecraft RTX Still looks incredible sure I’m not as hyped as I was back in 2019 but I’m still really looking forward to see how this future will work and push the boundaries of this game but what do you think about Minecraft RTX let me know in the comments but before you go I’d like To thank our sponsor Wonder shift tomorrow for more as an easy to use video editing software to spice up your videos for any epic transitions enhanced keyframing new AI cutting tools titles and 3D titles and much more add tons of audio and video tracks to multiple layers use GIFs gifs GIFs in your video from Muse like this example right here like this clip of me dying in Minecraft Sure it’s pretty funny right now who I can make it even better by adding a meme to it so if you go over here to the stock media click giffy and let’s do some like uh crying how’s that look that’s oh wow look at all the options For crying oh I kind of like this one though let’s go ahead and heart that you know I guess I want to use it for later oh there we go look at that keep him crying but I don’t want to overlapping the entire thing so what I can do here is double click Here’s the opacity um just change it to like 50 see how that looks yeah let’s do 20 percent a little bit more there we go look at that but I wanted just to pop it out nowhere like this I want more smooth in you know what I’m gonna add another Keyframe right here we’ll go ahead and keyframe the end I’m gonna go ahead and edit this keyframe make it zero so it slowly fades in see how that looks Nice there’s also the ability for multiple audio tracks so if Minecraft RTX was such a huge topic back in mid-2019. However, it seems to have died out in discussion. It is likely because there haven’t been any major changes or updates to this feature. So what happened? That’s what we’ll be asking in todays video. Make sure to subscribe to the channel so you don’t have my videos on Minecraft discussion videos like this one!
