Witch Farm (EASY) and Tower | Bedrock Guide S1 EP45 | Tutorial Survival Lets Play | Minecraft

Hey everybody proud here and welcome to another episode of the bedrock guide and here we are on the guide world where we left off in the last episode which was at the sheep farm yes this place is awesome we have a more literal sense of a sheep farm where we we have

Every color sheep walking around including our jeb sheep which i did get a question last episode so just tell you guys all you got to do is just take a name tag and name it jeb underscore name your sheep that and it will change multiple colors just like that

All the time which is awesome although if you shear the sheep it is only going to give you the color that the sheep was originally it’s not going to give you the color the sheep is actually displaying at that time so unfortunately it doesn’t do that but

Um the sheep farm has been running over here not actually any longer than it was the last episode and yeah we’re sitting here at a full double chest of wool and another almost half double chest of wool which is awesome and it’s just going to keep coming in

Sometimes the wool is getting stuck here but it’s because i’m unloading the chunks while it’s floating up it’s not because it’s actually getting stuck in like a more literal regard like it’s not getting caught on anything it’s just because me going in and out of the area which is

Fine i don’t really care um it’s not really going to happen too incredibly often and i don’t really need that much of the wool anyways so there’s that but let’s get on to what our project of the day is going to be and today’s project is going to have to do

With this i mentioned it in the last episode i want to do a witch farm which farms are ridiculously easy if you want something especially like even early game just to like really easily get several materials like health potions a little bit of gunpowder redstone dust like glass bottles stuff like that

Which farms are an excellent source for those things because you could put one of these up in literally just a few minutes and without really a whole lot of effort and it can kind of like get you started on some of those materials that you may need

So i have a few tips and tricks that are going to make this even easier for you guys and i have an amazing build that i want to go around this as well so let’s go ahead and let’s get this show started and the first thing that we need to do

In here is we actually need to find out what the spawning spot of the witch is so whenever you have a witch hut on the bedrock edition of minecraft there is one and only one spot that a witch will spawn and it’s actually really easy to find

And i learned this trick from silent whisperer so all the cred goes mr whisper and if he got it from somebody else whoever he got it from or if he if he figured out himself then that is super freaking awesome um but we need to go ahead and we need to

Like get ourselves a little grid set up here let me grab some glass whole glass blocks really quick because i just want to make sure this is closed off all the way and we need to do the same thing over here there we go and when we do this in the room here

Like this the witch because of how spawning works on bedrock mobs always spawn on the corner of a block um and i know some of you gonna be like it’s the southwest corner or east west corn i don’t i don’t pay attention to the cardinal directions

Okay i’m not that level of a technical player i just know how to make things work for me so um they will spawn on the corner of a block so when you make this grid like pattern it actually makes it so the mob will the witch will spawn inside of one

Of these little glass tubes because we’re making little tubes like this so he’ll spawn like right in there and since we put it up at his head level or her head level i guess um since we put it up at head level for the witch they will actually

Spawn in there and get trapped and they won’t be able to move and then we can go in there and mark the spawning location now what we’re going to do is we’re just going to wait for the sun to go down and then we’re standing far enough away to

Where which should be able to spawn in there and i think we have a witch in there i think we have a witch let’s go look if i can stop getting caught up in the trees yes we do there’s a witch absolutely a witch there so you see

We have two at least two witches there and we can carve out some of these other blocks and hopefully not die because these witches they can’t see us okay and yes so they are on these four blocks right here i don’t even have any torches to be able

To like light things up for you guys so what we need to do is we need to take our axe right here and we’re going to go ahead and pop a hole right here put a glass block pop a hole right here put a glass block we’re going to replace

These in a little bit but this is just so we can kind of mark the area that these witches are in a glass block here put a glass block here so this is the spawning location for the witches that we’re going to utilize to move these ladies off of here

And collect their wonderful drops okay so some of these next parts that we’re gonna go through are gonna be a little bit more on the aesthetic side although there may be little bits of like tech talk and that kind of stuff here and there but at this point once you know that

Location which we do the witch structure is useless if you want to keep it because you think hey so this is a witch hut and it looks cool and i want my witch farm to still look like a witch hunt then by all means keep it

But that’s not what we’re doing we have a bigger and better build planned so actually what i’m going to do is i’m going to take this entire witch hut out and we’re going to be centering a build somewhere around right here where the mobs are going to fall in and

We are going to end up using a trident killer down below to kill our witches so we’re going to make one of those too before we actually set up for the witch spawns and all of that so we’ll do a little bit of demolition here i know this probably hurts some people

Some people probably really hate to see the witch hut get torn down but we have a better build that’s gonna go here that you guys are gonna love okay so our method of getting rid of these witches is going to be a trident killer and we’re going to be doing a couple

Different things here that are going to help us get some extra drops from them now first of all i would like to better mark our witch body location and what better way to do that than to encase it with purple wool because witches are purple and purple wool is accessible to us now

And we’re going to be dropping the witch down two blocks they’re gonna be dropping down right here we’re actually gonna drop them on to magma blocks which this is another little tip that i picked up from mr silent whisperer and i thought it was pretty neat so um

You get fire resist potions from them if they use a fire resist potion and they use that if they catch on fire and burn in anyway so the fact that we will be partially killing them on this means that they will be uh using those viruses potions

And we need to be able to get our drops from this so what i’m going to do is i’m going to clear out a little area around here i’m going to have a hopper facing in this direction right here just like this and on top of that hopper

I am going to get a rail hold on we’re gonna put a rail on top of that hopper by holding down the duck button clicking and putting a hopper mine cart right there that hopper mine cart can suck in all of our items from the witches right there perfectly fine and

Then we want to be able to send our items over to some chests um we’re not going to be sorting these items to be honest of which farm doesn’t produce enough items fast enough to really want to sort at least not for me to have it be something that i’m worried

About so alls we’re gonna do is we’re just gonna create a little bulk storage area down here where we can store several chests worth of stuff it’s worth it to have a decent amount of space because the potions do take up a fair amount of space so i’m

Just going to dig down a few blocks here all right there we go we got a nice little area for all of our items to go into again not sorted very simple all we need next thing we’re going to do is we’re going to go ahead and build up this trident killer

They are so incredibly easy to start out we’re going to go ahead we’re going to surround our platform just like this i like to show off the trident killer in pretty much any mob based build that i do because it is a bedrock exclusive they cannot build these on java edition and

They’re really quick and easy to build so i’m just gonna go ahead and take a piston and then do them in this type of fashion right here here here and here so you see they are all on the same side of the block no matter what i am facing

It is always on the right if you look at the back one there right right right and right and then we just need a super simple way to power these guys so what i’m going to do i’m actually going to knock out all these blocks here that i was placing them with

Just get them out the way to make things really easy for you guys to see we’re going to use another color of wool here because we can do such things we can absolutely do such things and we are going to place our blocks directly under the pistons to power them there we go

And then we do need to have ones down below the pistons as well sitting right here beside that we put a rail a rail rail and rail and then we need these observers looking at the rails so i should be able to stand here select the edge of the rail

You see it is looking at the rail and then we’ll explain how this thing works really quick once we get all these guys in and there we go so the way that a trident killer works is that the piston will see that the power is going to change on this rail

Which i can do by grabbing a lever and going to sleep and all i’ve got to do is just power one of these rails drill temporarily like this turn it on turn it off and now as you can see it is going in this nice little circular

Motion and then i could just keep the block powered if i want it to be turned off just like that super super easy um it will fill will probably i don’t know it will necessarily decorate this per se although we might um but we definitely will do something different with the switch regardless

But now that gets a setup to our trident killer is operational it is working and now we can start focusing on the build that’s gonna go around here i’m actually gonna terraform up the land a little bit first and then i’m gonna show you guys something really cool

Okay so a little bit of terraforming is now complete and we have ourselves the base of what is going to be a witch’s tower yes the witch is going to live in this tower or i guess continually get killed in the tower uh it’s fine it’s fine maybe the people

The townspeople have figured out how to make this happen or maybe there’s like a head which kills all the other witches i don’t know but in any event the witch’s tower is here and we’re gonna have the witch farm inside of it now i’ve made this base here it’s not

I guess this thing isn’t like exactly centered to this which is fine it doesn’t necessarily need to be for what i’m doing but we are going to have a very easy way to build this witch’s tower because i’ve actually already designed the entire thing in creative and i have an

Interesting way to pull it over to the survival world here that i want to show you guys it’s going to assist me with making a nice time lapse which is going to be coming up shortly and then after we do that we’re going to do the couple of last little functional

Bits to actually get this thing working but let me show you something called structura so we are going to use this program or add-on called structura and it is made by mad hatter the link is right here and i will put it in the description of the video down

Below so you guys can go to it what we’re going to do is we’re going to actually go to structure so we’re going to hit show more structure release files is where we’re going to go and when you’re on the beta 1.1 page here this is not the latest version

Go click on releases and you can see the beta 1.3 right here this is the latest version and that’s when you’re going to want to download i’m not going to go over the instructions of how to install it um just follow the instructions it’s very easy and then

What you’re going to end up with if i go over to my desktop here and i’m just going to pull up a folder on my desktop is you’re going to go to your folder where you have structura and all of your things are going to be

In here okay we’re not going to run this yet we’re going to go back into the game here and we’re going to give ourselves a structure block and this is a creative copy of the world just for your demonstration so i’m going to do slash give at self structure underscore block okay

And then we now have a structure block and then we’re going to find the structure that we would like to copy let’s go ahead and let’s grab this building right here so let me see which way the structure block likes to face looks like

It wants to be on this end so we’re just going to snag this building i’m going to put the structure block right here and you see it’s already giving us a little bit of a wireframe i’m going to click on the structure block and it’s giving us a preview of

The area that it is grabbing now um you can either go measure exactly what the area that you need is or you can try to kind of guess by typing a number and clicking it and then seeing if you got it all so 20 looks pretty

Close let’s try 22. it looks like it’s getting all of that let’s go in the z direction let’s go another 22 and see how much we get and actually went kind of far forward maybe too far let’s drop it back to like 16 maybe

And we’ll go out we’ll do 18. so we grab a little bit extra so here we go um i don’t need to grab all the grass right so we can go ahead and take out the negative one we could put the offset at zero now the grass is gone and then we need

To pick how high our structure is so i don’t know how tall it says 12 looks like oh gosh blue jay he this guy keeps messing with me you guys see you guys see that there anyways this grabs pretty much all of it if i wanted

To shrink it down a little bit i can maybe take this down to 20 and bam that gets our structure right there okay now what we need to do is we need to name it and we can name this the um stone mason like that we’re gonna hit export

And then we’re gonna actually export this to structura so we’re gonna go to structural and then i’m going to put it in the structures folder right here export now we’re all done we’ve already we’ve grabbed our structure it’s been saved at this point okay so now i can go back over to struxura

I can run structure.exe structure file i want to point it to what i just did here so in this case it was stonemason pac name i’m going to name it stonemason make pack the pack has now been made i can close structure at this point you see we have stonemason.mcpack

So i can save it quit i can load the mcpack right here so mason.mcpack import started successful we go to settings go to global resources go to my packs and add in we want to take out anything i don’t have anything loaded right now good so let’s take my packs activate

Go back let’s go to play and let’s actually go to the server so this pack does not need to be installed on the server so i can go in here bedrock guide season one and here we are back where we were right so i can go and i can take this armor stand

And i can let’s plop this somewhere like out in the open okay place this armor stand right here and there we go there’s the build that we just copied looks like not all the entities come through perfect and maybe i don’t have the latest version installed

So um i don’t know if that’s a me thing or structure thing but it doesn’t really necessarily matter i can tell these defense fences uh i can tell those are fences i can tell these are the rails and now i can see exactly where to build things so i’m going to go

Ahead and actually do this for the witch tower and we’re going to time lapse it and hopefully it turns out amazing The What’s up My Now we actually need to get this farm working it needs to be operational and one of the things we need to do to do that is we need to make this little platform right here completely dark we don’t want to be able to see in it

At all that way the witches can spawn so let me get these lights out the way right here and we’ll just build a little box around it also we need to replace all of this glass and we need to encase this with blocks too so no light is getting on the inside here

And we have accomplished it we’ve we’ve covered the whole thing we also covered where the pistons are because light can go through pistons as well so that’s all been covered up and what we should see if we go up top here we should see a completely dark witch spawning area

Let’s close ourselves in and yes this is dark the glow from slight glow from the magma blocks isn’t going to hurt or do anything the witches will be able to spawn here perfectly fine and if we really wanted to test what we could do since this is

Probably one of the only dark areas around we can get a few blocks away and give the witches a few moments to spawn and let’s take a little peek in here oh and there’s definitely a witch there so our our little plan worked perfectly we have at least one witch in there

There’s our two we have two witches in here let’s pluck this one she’ll probably fall down there and just kind of sit down there which is fine um also i did not think about this we need to get a trident in the trident killer at least

One if not more i think i have one that i killed a drowned for around here earlier yes i do so let’s go plop down here real quick we’ll open up a little hole briefly just to throw in our trident and we’ll probably get attacked by which if if she’s in here

Nope she’s not okay cool uh let’s get a little bit closer there are trident down with the trident killer doesn’t matter the durability of the trident it just matters that whoever is using it is the one that throws it and then you’ll want to make sure you

Hold a looting sword in your hand when the device is turned on and then you’ll kind of see how it works here if i just let it let it turn on it just moves the triad and around the circles and it the trident actually hits the witch while it’s moving

And that’s what kills the witches and i almost forgot one important thing for the system in which you’re gonna flush these guys out of here so we need to get them out of here and into there really easily so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna place scaffolding on the floor here

The witches and mobs in general can spawn inside a scaffolding like this so we won’t have any problem with getting the witches to spawn there and then also we’re going to be putting water on here to flush them down they will spawn with their heads inside

Of water that’s fine but we do need to block this water once it gets to this point so what we’re going to do is we’re going to place a couple buttons here and then a button here and a button here so what’s going to happen is we’re going to put water up

Here and i can show you guys really quick let me put a button here just so the water doesn’t like get out on us and let me torch things up again so if i were to take a bucket of water and place it right here um you’re gonna

See that bucket of water is flowing in this direction and if i stand still it’s pushing me out i’m gonna go ahead and get a second bucket of water just so we can have one on each side although you don’t really need to and once you have that in

You can pop this button out and then put a block there to block everything off put this back block it off now witches are going to be able to spawn there we can have light otherwise in here because we want to make sure witches can spawn nowhere else

Except for in here so to do that we do need to make sure that this area inside of here is lit up well we also want to make sure that all of our crevices that something could possibly spawn on inside of our structure here if you build a structure

Like i did that is you want to make sure that there’s no spawning spots through here either so what we’re going to do is anywhere where there’s a ledge you could put a button there to keep mobs from spawning i kind of want the area to be lit up

Well anyways i think what we’ll do is we’ll place a couple torches last but definitely not least is we need to make our afk platform now we need to make it 126 blocks above the center of this so we’re at 64 now and i’m sorry this is if you

Are on a sim distance 6 or higher world it needs to be 126 blocks above this location right here if you are playing on a sim distance four world it needs to be uh i think you probably want to do 43 i’m not sure if it’s 43 or 44 blocks

Since i don’t play on some distance four um but at least 43 blocks if not 44 blocks above this level so for us we’re going 126 above this that’ll put us at y level 190 you see the y coordinate up in the top left hand corner of the screen

So we’re going to go up to y level 190 and we’re going to do that at the coordinates that are right here which is where our which spawns so we’ll do these four blocks at y level 190 up in the air with a bunch of glass and also although

I am going to decoratively do this a little bit later for demonstration purposes now uh we do want to light around just this platform right here just because it is within mob spawning range and unfortunately i don’t have any utilities available to me right now that’ll show me like light levels at

Night time and that sort of thing so this should be the only places that mobs can spawn we’re gonna go ahead and go with that and see if that’s the case and then if they can even spawn here honestly they might not even be able to

Spawn here but we’re going to play it safe and we’ll end up putting some like lanterns on the walls and stuff anyways ooh maybe some soul fire lanterns will look really cool maybe we’ll do some of that um but if you would like to test out your afk position that you’ve already made

Now is the best time to do it so what we’re gonna do i’ve emptied out my chests that are down there we’re gonna go ahead we’re gonna fly up or actually we need to turn our trident killer on first try to kill our zone we are at y level 90 which again is

Where we need to be for the same distance six or higher or y level 190 which is 126 blocks above down there which is what we need to be for some distance six or higher we’re just going to sit up here for a few minutes and then we’ll go down

And make sure we have a decent amount of drops in there which will indicate that this spot is working and after sitting up there for about five minutes this is what we got guys not too bad at all and i don’t really need most of this stuff really i mean we could use

The sticks instead of making them right i’m sure we can find some use for the glowstone dust for potions and such and the redstone dust is what i really need we haven’t gotten a lot of that yet but it’s fine um it’ll it’ll come in when it comes in

And for the most part in terms of functionality this thing is all done i just need to tidy up oh hello a couple final things and i did realize that i kind of need to spawn proof up here too so i think i’m just going to make a

Whole bunch of warped buttons and put them on top of everything i could put them on top of that way it doesn’t mess up the look up there um and then in terms of like how this thing works it’ll be complete so i had seen a hole filled with mobs uh

Passive mobs like animals and stuff so i decided to take a look down and i find skeleton horses i’m suffocating get me off um i feel like i feel like we need to save them um skeleton horses can randomly appear um during a thunderstorm and i’m not

Really sure the mechanics out outside of that usually they’ll spawn with like skeletons on top of them but apparently that like actual skeletons have disappeared and we need to get some name tags for them to save them um and there’s four of them i’m gonna check with stream i’m on

Stream right now and we’re gonna see what they want to name them okay we got our name tags here so we have fibula humerus femur and tibia super original i’m loving it i don’t know what i’m gonna do with these guys yet maybe they’ll post out around here by the witch hut though

Okay some amazing things have happened on stream oh my gosh it looks so great but we’re gonna wait for night time because that’s when it looks even better and now it’s turning night time some drowned are trying to get me let’s take a look at this place

Go leave me alone we have to be careful for creepers because it’s not all well lit but look at what we have done it looks absolutely like mystical i love the way this place looks we got our we got our horses here which did just not long ago get blown up by a

Creeper or the the posted anyways but yeah we got like mushrooms and we got bushes and we got soul lanterns and the the play there we got witches and the place just looks so awesome i am like ultra happy with how it turned out and then let’s just take a look at

Things from the air oh yeah it looks it looks so good i’m loving it i’m absolutely loving it it looks great um and everything is 100 functional i afk here overnight last night and actually i think um i think between episodes at some point i’m even going to

I’m probably going to put in an item filter an item sorter because we we not only filled like all this and all this like it made it like all the way here just one night afk because there’s just so many potions so we’re probably gonna have to run some

Filters through for all the items and then maybe have like a row of chests or two rows of chests for potions at the end and then trash can everything else because this is just getting full too quick i can’t like i’m not getting i’m not gonna be able to store enough of like
