Hello everyone and welcome back to another Minecraft update video it’s snapshot22w16a and this one’s bound to be an exciting one because we have a new music disc added into the game this one is simply known as five and it’s composed by Samuel aberg it is a very Dark and cinematic Track full of all sorts of sound design telling a terrifying story of a player’s interaction with the warden it is really something to hear and if that’s what you want to do I’ve uploaded the record to my second channel so you can find a link To it below if you want to head over and hear this another place you can listen to it is on Spotify because it’s actually part of the Wild update soundtrack and so to celebrate the release of this update you can see that there are a total of four new songs that Have been added and the songs composed by Lena Rayne are fire bugs Arie and labrin fine and those will play in the game if you’re in the mangrove swamp a regular swamp or on the main menu and to make is a little more confusing there was actually a fifth song added in this Snapshot and that is ancestry which for some reason was a part of the previous updates soundtrack but wasn’t actually in the game so this one you can now hear while you’re down there in the deep dark and speaking of the deep dark or better yet the ancient city this is where you Can find disk fragments to craft the new music disc each role in the chest can generate between one and three or none at all this one we got very lucky and got five pieces of it and so once you’ve found all nine fragments you can simply craft them like this into your music Disc and so with this new edition moyang have added yet another reason to venture on down into the ancient city although I gotta say it’s not the most Pleasant of tracks to listen to It’s not a song it’s more of a sound design experience and I’m not sure that most players will be Too keen on collecting this disc if they’re scared of the warden but more so for a player like myself it’s going to be a trophy to proof that I’ve conquered the ancient city now moving on to the mangrove swamp there’s been a ton of changes related to this biome and the Mobs that spawn in it like the Frog which can now spawn on grass the mud the Muddy Roots the regular roots and interestingly they’re now able to spawn on top of the Moss carpet normally a block of this size with this hitbox would prevent a mob from spawning but According to the patch notes they will naturally spawn on top of the carpet block the Frog mob is also now able to pathfind through a door that’s been opened as well as Striders Turtles and axolotls there is also now a sound for placing a tadpole from a bucket of water Like this which is actually different from the other sounds frog lights are now movable by piston and there are also some other types of block that you can actually place on or on top of them or on the side of them and these are now placeable prog lights are also now Visible on a map which they were not before and the atmosphere brick underwater color of the mangrove swamp has changed if we take a plunge and just let it settle in you can see there’s this really nice pale green tint that looks gorgeous and when it comes to Growing a mangrove propagule into one of the mangrove trees the roots that would generate wouldn’t update and observer and as you just saw from this experiment that can now take place and this is good news for technical Minecrafters who want to build tree farms with the new Mangrove wood but it’s got to be said that is a very Derpy skinny looking Mangrove tree right there and lastly related to this biome if you had a chest in a boat with a passenger like a mob on it then you can actually click it to access its inventory that change has Been made so you’ll now be able to access any items and before we continue I have a teeny tiny bit of snapshot news for you turns out there is a really critical issue in this one that is going to be patched tomorrow with a B snapshot And in each video I like to remind you all who are not subscribed to hit that subscribe subscribe button if you want to catch these snapshot videos however I won’t be making one on 16b as it’s simply just going to be a hotfix for a critical issue and probably won’t have Any other features in it but yes make sure you subscribed and now we’re going to take a look at some changes to the LA first of all it’s hell for its amount of hit points have been doubled from 10 to 20 which means it has the same amount of Health as the player does and upon their death the LA would die with the item that they’re holding and not actually drop it and yes I had to use a command to kill the LA because the player can’t do that now you can see it will drop the item That it’s holding and yeah I also learned that you know splash potions thrown by the player won’t damage it and now I’ve become very curious as to what happens to an alley that’s holding a totem of undying because I used a command I guess that might not count Aha how’s that for an answer for you it can use one the lane has some other changes too there is a delay from when it froze its items which used to be five seconds and now it’s three so when it decides to throw these we can see it’ll Do it a little quicker overall and also the arc shape at which it throws items has changed in this update the LA also moves a lot faster when it’s collecting items look at this it whizzes around and that applies to both when it picks up The items and then when it goes to send them to the note block just like that and in contrast to that their wandering speed has now slowed dramatically taking these little pauses and then just drifting off a lot slower than they would have done before and the item search radius has drastically increased From nine blocks all the way up to 32 so now they can look a lot further away for items they can pick up and personally I think all of these changes are pretty good it’s just the throwing Arc that never seems quite right I think it might Be smarter if they knew to go to the front of a note block and then just deposit the items on the ground in front of it because this throwing animation seems to send the items sometimes on top sometimes to the side and all over the place and now for those paintings that You saw at the beginning of this video had this world put together so that you could see all of the individual paintings and also their names too but then I realized the wiki would probably be a far better way to learn the names of each of these paintings if that Happened to interest you so you can find a link to that article in the description box down below but the reason that the names are relevant is because there have been some changes made to how paintings work and this is in Junction with a bunch of bug fixes For paintings and I’m hoping that we haven’t seen the end of the changes here I’ll explain more in a moment but I can give myself a painting okay I fixed that now and because this was given to me using a command and it’s got an MBT tag When I place it it’ll be the one that I’ve specified via the name so here is that command and here is where you would put the name the one that you just saw was called Earth this one is water we’ve got fire and wind and these four are new To Java Edition but they have been in the Bedrock edition of the game for some time and unfortunately you can’t place these in survival mode but with a data pack you can actually Define a list of which types of paintings can be placed the normal survival way like this and so You could include these new ones into that if you wanted to you could also un-include some of these over here and what I am hoping for is the ability to actually specify custom ones that you’ve added to a data pack which currently isn’t possible but maybe they’re laying The foundations to add that to survival Minecraft which I think would be amazing now there have been changes to the predictability of randomized events and honestly this one has been pretty difficult to see any Visible Changes through doing some experimentation however I think the clue is in this part Right here where it mentions extreme behaviors so to me it looks like droppers and dispensers kind of do the same thing that they did before and as that word said extreme there are probably some edge cases where an item can fly out like a really obscure angle and that’s probably the change that’s Been made here so that along with how items erupt out of a block when broken the flight path of arrows the flight pattern of firework rockets and these other things listed here on the website you might notice some minor differences to their randomization although to me They all kind of ended up looking the same and lastly a game change related to the warden there’s a new game rule where you can set its spawning to true or false if I set it to false another Warden won’t be able to spawn in this World but of course I can still spawn them in with the egg but we’re talking about natural spawning there was also issues with the war important being able to summon outside of the world border and then one that’s on the inside of the world border could get angry at mobs on The outside or sniff them and none of those things can happen now and so it’s good to see more and more things with this update getting refined snapshot by snapshot it does feel like we’re starting to get closer especially with that soundtrack being released and if You want to hear the new music disc there’ll be a
