Welcome to the mischief I’m Ellen and this is actual sorcery today we’re covering exploration since last we left off here we opened up a new chapter in your journal and of course previously we covered discovery now we move on to exploration so when you first get into This there are quite a few options actually you don’t have to go for one over the other as much but I do have some recommendations now don’t forget of course you have your slow moving lines here that tell you the progression so you’re going to either want to start With the rock crystal properties the light well or the hand telescope all by itself now personally I’m going to recommend the light well because it’s the only one that actually will take a little bit of time in order for you to progress on to any other steps in its Progress and then you could easily jump into any of the others so let’s start off with the light well so this one here is going to allow you to turn starlight into a liquefied form it’s actually really really cool so let me show you How to get going on this I mean it is a simple recipe of course you’re going to need some of those rock crystals so I showed you how to harvest last time you’re going to need some starlight and it shows your luminous crafting table not much not much at all and in fact I’ve placed one down here yes I’m currently out on this little platform that I kind of made and lit up but I mean you you check in here I’ve got a whole bunch of starlight I showed you on the previous of getting started there on how to actually increase your starlight Amount but currently this should be enough to craft it and you know this because it actually shows the icon on the side now you’d probably think well what do we have to do next how does this even work well then you take your resonating one that we crashed in the Last episode then you shift right click if it makes a really cool noise and starts Auto crafting it for you from that and there you go it is now complete so without that I mean now that it’s empty you don’t see any icons or any items in there So it will show you what is ready to be made provided that your light or your starlight level meets requirements as well as the items are in the proper order in the crafting grid then you just shift click with the resonating one now a light well what Good are these these are potentially a lot of good actually if anything they look really nice I mean I do like kind of like a little encrusted blue gem in there but they accept aquamarines and that’s what you’re going to want so let me grab a few aquamarines here which You’ve probably harvested as shown in the previous episode and if I put one in here you’ll probably get the unachieved but you’ll notice nothing’s happening besides it’s hovering over top of it that’s really nice but it needs to have access to open sky so currently you Could use it as a decorative item the which which could be nice I’m going to grab a bucket here and then we’re going to go up to the top of my observatory here that I have made and in fact we’re going to go up on top and I’ve set some Out here now it’s currently turning daytime so let me click add a little bit of time here so that it’s nighttime against there we go and you’ll see that there is actually a little bit of liquefied starlight in here and if I put some of these in here You’ll notice that they start filling up with the looks lights are light it takes a bit of time and if you have a whole bunch of these at once you probably notice that over time they’ll start breaking or creating things now in this case that one actually created a flare Which is actually a little living entity that you can kind of push around like a little balloon or something like that eventually it will it will die and also these aquamarines will over time they’ll break and you will get a random amount of Starlight liquid from them as you can See there so you’re going to want to monitor these a little bit or just put a few in here and then come back after a while it’s possible that one of these crystals could potentially fill up an entire light well but currently you’re going to have to probably monitor this I Did try it with some a like a hopper and it doesn’t really work so well with that so it’s not something that you need a lot of and you don’t have to make a lot of these if you so desire but usually I make a few of them just so that it’s Easier on me I can just plop a bunch of aquamarine sand and then come back after a bit plop a bunch more in and so on and there we go and eventually I’ll get myself some of this the liquefied starlight now once there we go and each one of these will Hold about two buckets worth so there’s another item for you to keep into my notes is another flare they’re really pretty they’re just little fun entities they’re not going to hurt you or anything like that but you can bounce them around and it’s just really cool and kind of neat Sorry I really like them just because they’re really pretty but I have liquid starlight bucket now let me switch back into my game mode one so that I don’t just use up this one bucket that I have let me show you what it looks like here it’s going to be a little interesting There you go it currently is very very white you notice I now have night vision for 10 seconds provided that I’m touching for 15 seconds actually you know while I’m in the water but it will but see if I can actually place that properly it will eventually pour away Kinda in the in a fashion I mean you see how fast it flows it’s really fast but you pretty much have to I think if I have another bucket I can pick it back up but I’m just going to destroy it so it’s like like that and of course you Can have really interesting displays you see how fast that goes all the way down and it lights up the landscape as it goes so it could be a lot of fun actually I might do something more interesting with that starlight but you can use that the light source so that It’s not you know cluttering up your starry atmosphere plus it also will give you your night vision which is going to help you fend off all those creepers that are going to be spawning nearby while you’re doing things at nighttime with this mod so now that you have Liquid starlight you are able to progress a bit further in your was the exploration yet exploration area so with that you can either jump into you know some of the other stuff here with the rock crystals or the telescope which don’t get me wrong those are totally Awesome but I’m going to continue on with us because we already started to light well so let’s go skywave resonator which is actually something very very important time-saving and useful so the earlier you get this the better off you’re going to be now the recipe for this one is Going to be simply just a liquid starlight bucket hey look what we just got some marble aquamarine and gold ingot so let me get a little bit of this couple of those one of those and I’ve already got a gold ingot so we should be alright let me just put these here and I’ll take that liquid starlight bucket and look there it is there of course don’t forget you have to meet the requirements for the amount of starlight then you just just right click with your resonating one and we’ll start making the recipe which which is quite lovely And it makes one of these which I already have in my inventory but the idea oh you know the screen probably just went dark that’s because this will allow you to detect star fields or heavy concentrations of area that will give you more star light than normal and I Just so happen to pick this location here because this now therefore you might not want to build your own observatories until you’ve actually gotten to this point so that you can find an area that is going to have a really high concentration of star light power now of course you can see it’s Starting to get daytime and this is starting to get weaker and weaker so let me add a little bit of time and you’ll notice it turns daytime and it goes away as the day progresses and gets dark again it turns intense so around you know like 2/3 of the night in maybe like A quarter than I in it’ll is when you’ll get your best star light power up to about a quarter of the night before it goes to dawn so basically the darkest time this is when you’re going to get the best star light power which is very logical actually now therefore with this Sky wave resonator you are going to be able to upgrade your luminous crafting table which is actually going to be one of the steps in here which is here the starlight crafting altar but I’m not going to cover that yet we’re going to cover that last we’re going to go and do Some of the other fun stuff that are in this chapter before we go to the end of it so we’ve got here rock crystal property so let’s do that one next we have here it just tells you that they have some different properties on them you’ll Notice if I hold shift this one has a really big size very low purity and extremely love cutting ability this one here has very low size very high purity very high cutting ability so you’ve got a lot of variance on those now the cutting purity the size of it besides is Think that as a durability meter for the size so the less size there is the less durable durability is left or using it as a tool ingredient but also the lower size it is the more it takes in order for that size to reduce so if I were to Use well actually here I’m kind of jumping ahead of myself let’s let’s make ourselves a grindstone so rock crystal properties oops I just covered that word now I keep clicking the wrong thing here please forgive me the grindstone which is very simple to make one marble to Wood two sticks gets you a grindstone so let me let me grab some of those I think I’ve got some marble here there we go wood we’re going to have a couple pieces of wood and a stick a couple sticks there we go actually I already had Sticks but no big deal put those there those there and the marble and whoops comes not it there we go got ourselves a grindstone same as before shift right click with the resonating wandering nighttime or even during the day if you have enough starlight power and it’s a Strong enough area you might be able to do that any time that you are doing some of this actual sorcery you might make some of these flares which are they’re just entertaining things it’s like a surprise you just got a really cool thing and I already have a grinding Stone here how’s the grindstone work well let’s take one of these rock crystals here this one here with a really big size and horrible everything else let’s take that put one in here and because I’m in creative I just duplicated it which is fine I mean if I’m not in creative it basically just placed it on here and you’ll see that it is in place now if I right-click it will start sharpening that one crystal and you can keep doing this just by holding the right-click button down and it will over reduce the size and increase its cutting Ability it will not however change its purity level that is a random number generator of generated from you finding the different ores and potentially gaining them at this point at least now once I take this back off let me grab that there you’ll see that it is now Size 45 from 300 and it’s purity is still 16% and it’s cutting is up to 64 percent which is considerably increased it’s you know quite a bit different there now if you look your I’ve already grounds this one down is what happened its size is down to 20 but if you think Alright well that’s that’s something to worry about here it’s just going to rind it another it will if you keep going but I mean it will take like a few minutes before I’m able to actually well several minutes actually before I’m able to actually grind this into nothing once it Gets down into like the the 30 size range and less it takes a lot more in order for it to actually grind into nothingness so let’s check it out now cutting is 83 percent size is 13 not so good so ideally what you want is something with a decent size and decent Cutting to get the best kind of crystal why might you ask well there are open there goes some more the aquamarines up there there are many uses for these rock crystals and namely tools and weapons so let’s open up the journal here and of course it shows handling them properly You would need to you need to do so but let’s jump down here to the crystal tools now with some of the rock crystals and a stick plus a little bit of starlight power you can make a sword similar recipes for vanilla with a pick An axe and a shovel now they are a little bit different though if you notice here the attack speed and attack damage 1 and 12 Tek speed 3 and 6 attack speed 3 attack damage 14 so yes you’re going to get some different properties on these two-and-a-half attacks beaten for attack Damage and some of them won’t change as you sharpen them some of them a lot now before I move on to making those though I should mention that that you can actually grind some other tools on here I believe it’s not not like a pickaxe or something but you might be able to Sharpen a sword let me grab a diamond sword oh look at that it fits on the grindstone and it grinds up only so much and you notice the spark stopped well if I shift right-click take it back up I get a temporary sharpened bonus it gets plus 10% attack damage that’s pretty good so you can sharpen some vanilla tools to make a little bit better and this also stacks any other kinds of magical enhancements you may have now of course it starting to get daytime again so let’s let’s add a little bit of there We go time to it there we go and I’m choosing to add time because I want the stars to progress as I go instead of just being able to you know reset it to the same time every single night now if I have let’s see stick and we’re going To choose these ones here with terrible cutting percentages and really high sizes right so let’s let’s do those and we can make ourselves a sword and therefore ship right click for the resonating one and you’ll see that a sword will pop out of there and I made This one here with much more powerful stuff of course but we go grab that I now have a sword with a size of 500 cutting 10% look at that attack damage 2.6 but the speed is really good I mean I can almost spam this thing it’s that fast because it’s a very lightweight Item but don’t worry I can grind this thing up and it’ll be much better now if I can with something here that’s got like a higher percentages let’s grab a two of these rock crystals here alright I have just duplicated this rock crystal here so I now have two of the same one With a really high cutting very low size because these ones were already pre sharpened now it’s not necessarily the same Rock crystals but in my experience I was finding that it you sharpen the crystals first you’ll get a better overall result not by much But it it does tend to help as far as increasing the attack damage and the cutting ability of it overall with using less of the size bonus on Etna so now you now see this one here is ninety percent now this is already been sharpened or at least the the rock Crystals were sharpened first and then I made the sword this one was the other so let me go in here and I’ll actually open this up put the sword on here throw away the old one because I just duplicated it by accident and I’m going to just Sharpen this for a while and we’ll see how it comes out okay so I haven’t been sharpening it that long I just want to show you that just by sharpening it though you can see if the cutting percent has gone up and it’s attack damage has gone up considerably as well And the size has gone down as I continued sharpening it the sides will continue going down until it gets down probably in the 30s 20s tens you know and the cutting percentage will get up to around 80 or 90% before it really starts getting slow and difficult to Actually grind that now this one here I’ve already ground it I can grind it even more if I want but it is going to take a bit of time in order to actually progress that so I might as well just keep it with me see here it’s still 90% And it just took away three of the size so I mean there’s only so much that you really should sharpen these before it’s just kind of counterintuitive for that but hey I mean the difference here is this one here as 11.7 to attack damage these can be enchanted though you’ll Want to see down at the bottom it says durability ten out of ten you don’t have to worry about the durability that’s just a base stack and it’s not going to change with you attacking critters in the world it’s going to stay the same what will change is the sides as you Sharpen it so these are somewhat temporary of tools that you can resharpen just like a quick pop it on the grindstone sharpen it and off you go but at the same time they certain properties of them might be able to be recharged now if you look here I Actually have a couple of picks one here that has a low cutting high size this one has a high cutting low side and they’re basically made from the same crystals the reason that I have these is to demonstrate to you the ability that you can actually have very big Differences in how these function so with the very low cutting one you think all right well I’ve got a lot more size on it I can sharpen this one forever but look how long it takes me to mine this one piece of diamond or you know these don’t mind the obsidian they’re they’re Just crystal items here it takes quite a while you should get through these ores oh my gosh it’s a little bit painful but if I go with this one that’s been sharpened it’s not a problem at all and I just tear right through them and of Course then I can just touch it up now this being a tool the attack speed attack damage are not affected it just increases its speed with mining so you want to keep that in mind hahaha what a punch so that you can make sure that you have your tools up to par Now once again once you start wearing these down over time you’ve you know mined a whole lot of blocks and stuff like that you’re going to notice that your tools are starting to slow down a bit and you’re going to want to sharpen them back up what do you want to bring a Grindstone with you or just find out that that’s time for you to head back to your base or whatever it’s the same and the crystal axe of course works really good on trees and of course can be used in a pinch as a weapon as well because It’s got a pretty decent attack damage now this one here is kind of max stats on it right now because I use max deck crystals but you get the idea now going back to the journal let me actually back up a little bit here and we’re going to Go up a little bit further now with this I’ve got to start like crafting altar and hand telescope well we’re still going to do that but first let’s do the hue telescope because that is actually a lot of fun this is where you really start getting into the the theme of this Mod in my opinion it more so than you would have been so far and that’s because you’re really looking at the Stars limits crafting table you don’t need too much but you need to make a glass lens so let’s get some glass here and just Grab a little bit one two three four and I’ve already got some aqua Marine so we should be good now luckily I know it’s daytime but I’m in such a strong star light spot that it should still work during the day check that out we still have the beam going on it’s Daytime Suns coming up and I got myself that lens now this is only because I have prepared this quite well and it’s in a very strong area now going on to the next spot we’re going to need to make telescope for sticks Gold that lens we just made and planks now I’ve got Sticks gold and lens I just need planks so wood there we go that should do it actually so let’s put gold sticks on either side and here’s another good thing about this luminous crafting table is it look I just backed out and back in and it’s all still there It’s really nice I can’t remember how this is made all that is how it’s made alright I got lucky so therefore I still have enough starlit power in here that I can still make this I’m rather surprised actually but there we go and I now have a handheld scope so If I right-click with it what do I see nothing because you’re in the middle of the day let’s change it to a little bit darker of a time so that you can actually see things now here is the first thing that you’re going to make a mistake on you’re going to stand near Something anything and you’re gonna look through this maybe like I don’t see anything this sucks because you’re standing near something you have to be out in the open and then you use it and you can see the stars and oh they are so nice it’s really cool I Mean it just kind of magnified it’s not the exact set up that you’re seeing right now it’s kind of like this reversed version but what you’re going to want to look for are some stars that look a little bit different shifty er than others best way to do that is to Take your journal and one of those constellation papers out and you’re going to want to actually put that in your hand and then try using your hand telescope and this might actually help you out assuming that that constellation is actually in the sky at this point and This might take you a bit of time to actually find the stars that you’re looking for so I’m going to do this I’ll look around see if I can find the stars in yet I realize I’m kind of looking through my my building right now it’s it’s Minecraft people so once I find a constellation I’ll be right back all right so I’ve been looking for quite some time now don’t give up it takes a while with your first constellation or two but don’t worry there’s also improvements you can make on your hand telescope but for now if you notice There are some stars that are kind of shifting around a little more so than the rest of the shows the rest of the stars in the background they’re actually rather bigger and brighter and they move on a separate plane well it also took me a bit to figure out which one’s these Work if I were to just click on the one that I had it was our mara but I counted the number of those large stars and doesn’t match up then I looked at this one and it does match up a vataj so therefore I’m going to want to try and make this work Now for this to happen you basically have to hold shift and that will freeze things you see now my mouse pointer is moving around then you can actually using left-click drag and drop lines from one to another to actually kind of make them all line up now I’m kind of Doing this rememory I hope this actually does line up hey there we go I just unlocked it kind of chima there so now when I back out of this if you look up in the sky and it is currently supposed to be in season you might see that Actually marked in the sky otherwise actually I’m not finding it give me one second here it’s almost daytime that’s not helping and there we go it also helps if I get up beyond the tree line but there we go you can see it over here Now if I line up with this and then I right-click it’s not going to it’s not going to line up with it like that so no it doesn’t work where you find the constellations it’s all seed based from what I understand and yes they will slowly rotate across the sky which is Really cool and therefore during certain moon phases they should be available in most cases if you look at the bottom of the paper here you’ll notice that there are all these different moon phases these the moon phases that it should show up for that doesn’t mean that it’s Going to show up for those and you’ll notice that it should show up all these should show up for pretty much all the moon phases but there are some that they’re going to be very weak and they’ll only be up for like maybe like a few seconds or some During the night and other times they’re going to be up for a very long portion of the night time so it can be very tedious to actually do so but you can always at least find one if you want with the hand telescope before you move On to a future upgrade that we may come to in a future episode like I did and it does make things considerably easier than trying to search the entire sky but it is kind of fun and a good you know kind of a time thing to like look around And try and find the different constellations you’re probably only going to find one constellation whichever one is dominant during that time of the moon phase each time so if you keep coming across the same constellation if you’ve already connected one like this one here Ava toss I already connected it if you come Across uh sorry I’m kind of spinning around in circles here but if you come across the same constellation again then you will are probably in the same you know moon phase where its dominant but if not then you might be able to find another one like right now I’m actually Not finding this not finding Ava toss in with the hand telescope I might be able to find another constellation in the sky up to four of course at this point but hey that that’s just part of the fun the last part of this chapter the Starlight crafting altar this is a very simple Recipe with a very complex result so you can make one but then you can’t use it without specially making a super set up for it so first we’re going to make the star like crafting altar then we’re going to make the little kind of minute multi block structure for it so it’s Just a matter of some marble pillars some chisel marble liquid star like bucket and the rock crystal there we go and I now have that recipe in here and I can make this just with a simple shift right click and there’s a little bit of weird particles going on Right now I think that’s going to change over time but currently you’ll see a little bit of light going on some weird stuff happening because you’re making an upgrade for this luminance crafting table into something bigger and better it will actually amplify the amount of starlight that you are able to harness For your creations as well of course I just ran out of time when I had done that it actually stopped and the moon was setting and it was becoming daytime so yeah I needed to have it actually be middle of the night as usual in order to progress with it Well I kind of like how this mod needs a lot of things to do it at nighttime and therefore allows you to do a lot of stuff during the day specifically probably with other mob mods but there you go I learned more about attunement which is A new new galaxy chapter but before we do that we’re still going to be finishing off exploration one last time here and we’re going to be building this altar set up so right now I’m going to just get a bunch of those items and then I’ll be right back Now for those that are curious on how to use this you just like with left-click you can grab this and you can drag it you can turn it upside down you can see exactly what blocks they are if you hover over the star over here it tells You exactly how much quantity you need of every single item plus tells you it’s a 9 by 9 by 4 tall structure which is fantastic I don’t think you can get much better than this without it actually doing it for you all right so first and foremost find the Center of where you want to build this and I recommend once again that you have a skywave resonator nearby so you can amplify this even further then you start placing down a three by three plane if you will and then you just go from there by adding some extra stuff on the Corners making these little extra squares here it’s kind of like making an X out of even bigger squares kind of in a way I mean you see here it’s really basic design and then you’re just going to be adding in a whole bunch of this the marble bricks leaving the corners Empty you don’t actually want to fill anything in the corners unless it’s just temporary you can if you want to I don’t think that that’s actually going to make things bad or hurt this in any way but you are going to want to do so because On a weight this is actually the the tiers this is the tier two not tier 3 so in this one you are going to want to put down these chiseled marble blocks on the corners because these are going to be the pillars then you speaking of which Put two pillars on top of each and another one of these whoops there we go up the chiseled marbles on top of that so you’ve got yourself four of these posts when you’re done there and then to finish it off you just need marble arches and you don’t actually need to Have them connect on the corners this is the corner I was actually thinking of you don’t want to have anything on the corner they just need to go up to it and then you just just there we go there we go like that then when you’re done you Place down your city on your city marble your starlight crafting altar and you right-click and if it all is good you should see everything in here and you’ve got yourself star like if this bar is red at the bottom for instance if I put this over here and right-click you’ll See that it is saying red that means no it’s not going to function and you’re still going to have to use the other altar but now you have an upgrade and if you need to make those same recipes you did before with the lower tier altar Then you just use the center that’s the only difference it now will harness more starlight and power it up even better so it has a bigger capacity for starlight and will amplify what you do get from this from the nighttime and that pretty much takes care of things for the exploration Galaxy chapter tune in next time for where we go for atonement I hope guys enjoyed this video by bit on astral sorcery
